Hi there,We have a number of users who have interface only access (i.e., no base access). One of our pages uses a 3 level list. When they attempt to add a new linked record/new row through the interface by using the + icon (e.g., a task or action), they get a permissions error. Any insight about why this might be happening would be helpful. 

Is it possible using a formula or automation to compare two multi-select fields and show which items are missing from the 2nd? I'd like to have a 3rd field that would show just what was missing from the completed list. 

The "Add record" and "Add milestone" controls are disabled in our Gantt view. Removing all filtering, all grouping, and disabling/re-enabling "Use milestones" in the view's settings have not helped.'How is this supposed to work? 

Is it possible send an Airtable form without the Airtable cookies (disable the cookies)? We don’t want to save the forms's information in the cookies, when it’s not necessary.

I recently started having this issue in Safari where select option fields are causing autofill login prompt to appear. I’ll have to look into it but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this too?

Hello! I'm creating an Airtable base to manage book club meetings. I have a column for the meeting dates (DD/MM/YYYY) which take place once per month. I'd like to have a "Reading Status" column that uses a formula to create the following labels:"All Done" for meetings where the date has already passed"Up Next" for the upcoming meeting"Not Yet Read" for future meetings that are not the next closest meetingI am new to formulas and struggling with how to set this up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I would like to use a content calendar to create a mockup or preview of my instagram grid based on the dates and images in a record, so that I don’t need to go outside of airtable to preview it. Has anyone found or built a solution that does this?

I have a base that is mostly photos, with reference numbers on each one. Because the photos are the "main event", I am trying to use gallery view to print and/or save as PDF.However, I find that cards often break across pages, and sometimes leave the photos invisible. See example, attached.Is there a way to make gallery view print so that cards do not break across 2 pages? Hi All, I want to create a bibliography. I have all the pieces in different columns and want to use the concatenate formula to pull them all together. However the Title of the book needs to be in Italics, how do I carry over the italics from the cells, or adjust the formula to make only the title Italic? Author Surname, Initial(s). (Year) Title. Place of publication: Publisher. This is my formula: CONCATENATE({Author(s) Max 3},"(",Year,")","."," “,Title,” “, City,”:"," ",Publisher) Any ideas?

Hi! I already created and published a form that has received entries. I realized I need to add another question in the form so I added the question in the form, and added that column manually into the base that collects the data. I published the form, but answers for that added question doesn't show up in the Airtable base where it collects data. Where am I going wrong? I made sure to add the column with the exact text in the same order as the form. I also published the form. I can't see anywhere else I need to make changes in order for this response to reflect in the base data. Any advice?  

This morning, trying to use an interface created a long time ago, I encountered an anomaly:when I go to create a record, it does not extract the list of valid values if it has to extract them from a table via a filter.I enclose two screenshots showing how the list on the form is empty, while the preview list of selection criteria has the correct values.Thank you for your support in resolving this anomaly

Hi! I found a workaround that’s helpful for me, so I thought I’d share. If someone has an easier way to do this, please let me know! Apologies if this has already been posted, I didn’t find it after a bit of searching. The problem I was trying to solve was that when updating a record, a field can be named using its friendly name (e.g. “First Name”), but then if I change it later, even a little bit, my API integration will break. Each field also has a unique ID, prefaced by fld, but I wasn’t aware of any way to actually find that name. I've got an automation in Airtable to send a record ID to Make to then fetch some data and send a whatsapp message. When I send the content of a 'Long text field' - it fails. I've tried adding a function in Make to remove all special characters like line feeds etc. and send to WhatsApp - but I can't get it right. Anybody know what special characters are used or the regex I could use?In my trouble-shooting, I created a single line text field and copied the text in there - then use that to send to whatsapp - and it works...  just without the line breaks. Any ideas for me please? 

Hello, Is it possible to show specific data which is unique to Interface-only viewers. I want to create an interface where they can see a record of form submissions (use case: invoices) which they have submitted via an airtable interface form and see what the current status is without seeing everyone elses response. Is this possible? if so, how do I go about it?I would like to avoid duplicating and re-making interfaces for individual viewers so am looking at softr worst case.

Hey I am stuck with the automation of "update records", and this is where I am:1. I have a table named "master project" (primary field) and in each row, consists of 7 sub-projects under the same master project. All 7 projects shared the same status on 4 variables, while each also have different status on 5 variables  2.  I need to break each of the 7 sub-projects into individual row so that I can run calculation based on each row. For this purpose, I have created another table with "Projects" being my primary field. And to continue build on new projects when i have more master projects input from table 1 (above point), I have use "create a record" automation to pipe in full information of each project3. Hi Team,I've one particular requirement that if  I can replicate records from one base to another, especially when these bases are located in different accounts.  I'm aware of Airtable's robust automation features and wonder if there's a solution or workaround for achieving cross- airtable account automation. In simple words, I'm interested in a process where, when data enters into one base automatically adds that same record to a corresponding base in a different Airtable account.

Hello,I have an automation that updates the Invoice Table paid column with a checkmark when we receive a Payment in the Payments Table with a matching invoice number. We now have noticed that clients may pay the invoice twice. To document this, I wanted to have a linked column (to my payment table) in my Invoice table that links the matching payment. My automation currently updates the invoice base and will populate the 1 linked record, however if a 2nd charge comes, it replaces the record. I know it is possible to link multiple records in one field (and use rollup function) as I have done this before, but I am struggling with the automation populating both linked records and keeping them. Any solutions? Thanks!

Hello, as of this morning, any PDFs that I attach via the Make integration will no longer open in a preview window, but instead tries to download a file without an extension.  This Make scenario has been running for months without issue, with hundreds of PDFs attached in the manner per day - all being able to open up in Airtable without an issue.  But as of this morning, nothing added today will open properly.  Any attachments added yesterday still open fine.  Any ideas what is happening here?Edit - apparently this is only happening on this specific Base.  If I run a Make scenario to add an attachment to a different Base - it attaches fine and opens normally.  But then if I change it to attach to my primary Base, the same download issue occurs.  I need to get it back to working normally on this primary Base.  This is what I have determined so far:1.  Only is affecting my primary ba

New to AirtTable automation and surprised this hasn't been asked before, but I couldn't find anything in docs or here. I've got a repeating group set up using List of Records as the Input list. The list of records is only 8 rows long.For each record, I want to run a script. In that script I want to access one of the values from the record currently being iterated over. I was hoping this was passed through `input.config()`, but dumping that reveals only what I manually add as an Input variable.I had this in the script itself, using `selectRecordsAsync` and iterating over each record. However, the operation exceeded the 30second limit, so I thought a repeating group would be better.  thanks

Is anyone using the Resource Allocation Template, or is there a explainer video on how to use it? It looks awesome, but it's overwhelming. I'm not sure where to start. Regarding how to set up that whole process, I'm unsure how to even begin setting an amount of time required to complete a given task. We have a work order that comes in for a design task. It may take 8 hours... no problem, I can assess that and assign a time of 8 hours. But that job then comes in and out numerous times for varying degrees of revisions. Those revisits don't require 8 hours each, so I'm unclear how to best set the time duration so that it's properly allocated once the initial job goes out the door.Any insights on how to start using the amazing new Resource Allocation template is a

Previously I have added PDF attachment via API call. This was done using presigned S3 url of a PDF and updating table's field with {"url": url, "filename": filename} whereas url has no ".pdf" in but filename bears the form of "xxx.pdf". These PDFs can be opened on iphone app through open with browser, where redirection would be opening a pdf. (Content-type GETing the link is application/pdf).From yesterday, uploads done the same way would get the right pdf file but with header Content-type: binary/octet-stream. On the phone the pdf failed at displaying and tried to download a file instead. My question is:i)  has anyone experienced specifying filename with .pdf now but not getting pdf back?ii) has anyone got a way way to fix this issue?This change is breaking existing business n

Hello y’all! I’m trying to run an automation on multiple linked records from one record, but it doesn’t work because the action expects one record id. Do you know a way to achieve this? My scenario is this: I have an invoice linked to multiple purchase records from another table I want to fill in a delivered date field on the invoice record and fill the purchase records dates using the automation. Why not use a lookup field? Because sometimes there are partial deliveries or the products are damaged and returned. These would be manually corrected then. All the best!
