When I link table entries to another table I get these boring gray boxes with the linked record. It gives me no information other than the name. It would be great if I could, in the formatting tab of that link, choose a view from which it should get the color information. Example: When I have tasks with a complete field in another table and I link these tasks in my project. I could create a color coding in my tasks table: Done tasks are green. In Progress tasks are yellow. Not started tasks are red. Now in the project table, in the link column, I would say: Take the colors of this one view that has the colors. Now the grey boxes would be green, yellow and red, depending on their color in the other table and I would have a huge informational boost at a glance. See this mockup.

Hi guys, I was wondering if it is possible to change the linked fields inputs in different colours like they are shown in the original table (that had the field type “Multiple selection”). It is a shame that the linked field inputs are all grey. If you can help me out with this one, would really appreciate it.

Hello,There's a user in my client's workspace who has already been invited as an interface collaborator with Editor permissions for some interfaces I created. The problem is, the user is not being able to create a record in one of those interfaces that already has the Editor permissions. When the user tries to create a record this message appears: "You are not permitted to perform this operation". Could you help me solve this problem please? The weird thing is, a few days ago the user was able to create records and didn't have this problem. I don't understand what happened because I didn't make changes to the user permissions.  I already made sure the user has Editor Permissions to that interface, and that table has the permissions that Editors and up can create records.

Hello Everyone, I am trying to create an automation that sends draft social media posts for approval. The problem I am running in to is being able to reply to these actionable messages in Slack with text that will update an airtable field. So basically here is how the work flow goes. When a new post is created and is in draft it will send an actionable message to a slack channel with two buttons. The first button is "Approve" and the 2nd button is "comment". If the comment button is clicked I would like the slack user to be able to enter some text that will then update a field in airtable. I have been able to get the approve button to work but when the comment button is selected I do not get the option in slack to enter text. How can I solve this problem. I would appreciate your input. Thank You 

Here is my base I am developing to track VFX shots for a film.Table "SHOTS" is the shot in the film. The array should be sorted alpha numerically. I have been trying with little success to use ARRAYSLICE(ARRAYCOMPACT(values)), -1) Can you do this with the formula, rollup field or do you need to script this?

I am looking to get the user ID from the person who interacted with a Slack Actionable Message. From the Automation Run History, I see the User ID is saved, but for an audit trail I would like to automatically assign that user to the record they acted on.

Hi, does anyone know how to copy fields of a form to another form? This in order to avoid adding the fields  manually

I am creating an automation that sets a single select field from empty to "Date Changed" when my date record is updated.At the moment it works, but the automation is running when both a preexisting date is changed AND when the empty date field is first populated.I would like to the automation to only run when the date field has a value, and the value is changed. I do not want the automation to run when the date field is empty, and then a date is added.Is there a way to set this up using basic Airtable automations, or will this rely on a script.Side note: the goal of this automation is eventually to send a weekly email showing all rows that had a date changed within the past week. If I am approaching this the wrong way I am also happy to pivot, but the date changed status combined with a last edited time seems like the best way to put this together.

Should be a simple automation so I'm certain it's user error but I can't find my mistake.I have a date value. Does anyone have a solution for a script to run AND a URL to open when a button is pressed? I need actions within the base to be performed, but I also would like to redirect the user to a confirmation page once the button is pressed. I also have a near-identical use-case where I need to guide users to open a URL via a button to edit details on a record in another base, but I’d like to be able to know that they clicked it. Is there any clever way to additionally trigger an automation when the button is pressed (along with having the url open)? Thank you!

I can see that in the FREE plan, I can add up to 5 editors for free.But the TEAM plan does not allow me to add 5 editors for free, although this TEAM plan should include the features of the FREE plan.

I work at a nonprofit organization that is also a neighborhood association with dues paying membership. Currently, we have all programming participants in a main base that links them to events and other things. The records serve as almost a "client profile". I would love for the airtable database to also help us facilitate membership payments through Zapier and maybe even Stripe? Essentially, enabling folks to make a membership payment through Airtable OR allowing for their membership payment information to be filtered and recorded in their "client profile" in Airtable.Is there a way to do this? Does Airtable have an extension that will assist, or will I need something else to make it happen?

Good day fellow AT'ersI can copy paste multiple company names into an empty field of 'companies' in the interactions table.The result is that AT will add for every company a new interaction. For example, if I paste 3 companies, AT will add 3 new records of new interactions.This is great, but what if I want to add the 3 companies automatically into the field? I can do it manually, but if there are too much companies this is not feasable.

I have a catering company, my client invoices are updated 4-5 times throughout the project pipeline. I'm hoping someone can help me please. We are not having much luck setting up some simple automations. We've watched lots of videos and follow step by step but still can't seem to the do the following. Hoping some can give some very simple instructions aka: AirTable for Dummies 😂 A) When we update a record in one table we would like it to update in another table.  For example when the outcome or status changes of a product we would also like the outcome or status to change in a linked record. B) When we add a new record to one specific table we would like the record to be added to our all contacts table.    Thanks in advance! 

I know this is a duplicate of this post, but I’m not allowed to add to comments to that one, because it’s locked. I always have to delete those columns when creating a new table. And I always like to rename the first view as “Main”. It seems minor, but it is rather annoying, and I make new tables all the time. I am a web developer myself, and that allows me to say the following: I don’t feel this would take too many person-hours to fix. (That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.) Just wanted to throw a vote that this gets implemented at some point.

I am looking for some guidance on how to move our progress invoicing to airtable.We have been using Airtable for a few years now and it works great in having everything centralized. Mainly using it as a custom built CRM.We are working on multiple projects simultaniously and need to submit progress claims to each of these projects monthly. Each project would have a minimum of one accepted Quote attached. Sometimes it has multiple accepted Quotes due to change orders...I have set it up in a way that whenever a quote is accepted it creates multiple line items in the Tasks/Line items table. One for each of the line items within the accepted quote.We then invoice a percentage of each of the line items at the end of every month. Question is:How do I set this up correctly to be able to do this the best way? Essentially I will need to pull the line items applicable for each approved quote within any given project and then apply a value f
