Hi there, I've done a bunch of research here and on Youtube and I've not been able to replicate what I see here. I have Project and Tasks tables. I've created a template in the Projects table that adds a few tasks And it works - I get the tasks created, when I apply the template to a new project. However, I'd like to add the Project Name to the tasks that are created. I found an example of this in Airtable's docshttps://support.airtable.com/docs/using-record-templates-in-airtableThe Tasks in the far right column shows the Project name in parenthesis.But I cannot replicate this - how do I make this happen?Desired ResultProject = Project ATasks = Task 1 - Project A, Task 2 - Project AThanks so much for your help

Hi there,I'm trying to create a field in a table (say Table B), where its output is takes into consideration a condition based on a field in Table B, rather than the original table it is rolling up from (which I know Airtable has a simple filter for).In my "Scheduling" table, I want to be able to enter a single date, or a start and end date. This field will look at all Shoots linked to the Team Member that is linked to this record, and spit back out a list of Shoots that have a start and end date/time that is within the dates I specified in the Scheduling table. [Context: This table is linked to a form, and its purpose is to notify a Team Member when their shoots have been scheduled and a short summary of their earliest and latest by email, triggered by an automated button in Interfaces.]The image below shows the structure I've got going now. I am at full capacity and need to temporarily pause the application ( form link) that has been widely circulated. Hello all,Hope you all had a good holiday season.I have looked, but can't find anything around this, which I think is simple.  Most of what I am seeing on here looks more complicated than it should be.I have a Date Formula field that I would like to populate with Today's date if a box is checked.  I can get that part working, but the rest of the fields show the #ERROR! message.  I just want to hid the message and show nothing.This is what I currently have:Thank you for any help,Matt 

I am working in Postman. The field in question is "Taxes Owed - PDF". I get the error shown below. If I change the field type to single-line text I don't get an error. I don't want to change the field type. In Postman I am trying to set/select the value of a single select field. Hi All, hoping someone can help with this.I have a database of clients for content creation, and there are various deadlines for each piece of content we write (for example publish due date, writer instructions due date, draft due date, etc.) We manually enter a publish due date and all other due dates are calculated based on that date using these formulas: DATEADD({Publish due},-10,'days') or DATEADD({Publish due},-5,'days') etc.Recently we've taken on a number of clients from new marketing sources who will have custom deadlines. We have added a column which specifies where the client came from. I'd like to have the dates calculated as above, but ONLY if the client came from Source A.  If the client came from any other source, the field should be left as a blank date field so we can manually enter dates. Is this possible, and if so what would it look like?Added example:So IF client source = sourceA, then DATEADD({Publish due},-10,'days')but if the source does

hi all, i have a parent table that is copying data to a child table on a condition. I've written the script and I can handle all the data types except I'm having trouble with the linked field. I have a User table linked to both tables. I keep getting this error: id has incorrect objectId prefix "sel", expecting one of ["rec"]the linked field I'm copying returns this object:{id: "seleCE7wF1kaofYBd", name: "Lucas", color: "cyanLight2"}but the actual record id of "Lucas" on the user table returns "rec6TmmKCTEiSp3BA".How can I fix this? 

Fetch request is built like this, including these headers: But it returns a CORS error — the webhook isn’t returning Access Control Allow Headers… Oddly enough I can get it to work from Postman: And if I follow the proxy outlined here it works as well. Is there a way to make the webhook return that header? Or another solution? Thanks!

I'm new to interfaces, so I'm only starting to understand them. I have recently created a list layout Interface with multiple pages within this Interface. When updating the record detail layout on one of the pages, this layout is then updated across all pages.Can you have different detail layouts across pages of same Interface or do you have to create new Interfaces?Any help would be appreciated 😁

I have several bases that I have removed nearly all the data and they still show as reaching plan limits or over limits. Even when I duplicated them and remove ALL THE DATA from the base it shows as over limits.This is making my DB's unusable and I can not upgrade not knowing how or why an empty data base can be showing as hitting limits.Or when I remove 90% of the data in a base that we have been using for two years that barely had 300 rows is constantly hitting limits and not being able to determine which limits we are hitting so we can manage the data and ensure we are being efficient.

Is there a reason why you don't need to verify your email address to access Airtable? I was shocked to discover this isn't a requirement. I have an interface set up so that only the current user can view sets of information, but I found that it's possible for someone to create an Airtable account with someone else's email and view the information associated with that email address. Email verification is not required to access the interface and see data that should only be seen by the actual user. Are there plans to address this? Is anyone using a workaround to make this more secure? Is it related to being on the Team plan?

I just realised this simple formula, on most fields does not work . Test was done on a Single-Line field. IF(test1 != BLANK(), "Not Blank", "Blank") This will always return "Not Blank".  A workaround seems to be to do the below: IF(Not(test1 = BLANK()), "Not Blank", "Blank") Any idea why this is so? Or is there a simpler work to check for 'Not Blank/Empty'?

Hello! I'm trying to use automations to link a comma-separated string of names to a separate table.I have to pass the name from Table A, to a column titled "Parse Match" (because names in A do not match record titles in B) in Table B, then link them back in Table A.This was easy to do via automations for the "Lead Sponsor" column, because there's only one name to link.But I'm stuck figuring out how to link a string of comma-separated last names in table A, column "Co-Sponsors" to the "Parse Match" column in Table B, then back to Table A.Any suggestions? If this requires a script to separate the comma-separated values per record, that's beyond my abilities right now… 😛Table ATable B

Team, I know in Project/program management “Gantt Chart” is often thought as the best tool to show and manage dependencies, but was curious if there are any other methods that are more useful. Most of our projects are related to Digital and Business transformation. I have seen some examples of network diagram, dependency maps etc. Wanted to see if some one has used it effectively and share best practices? Thanks

Good day all,Over the past year I have moved from the old API key to PAT successfully accessing the base from third party apps (in particular filmmaker & MAKE ) just needing the API key swapping with the new PAT ... all good.I have a couple of scripts that work on the base in question which effectively moves the records to another Archive base ... this has been working great for years. until now that I have tried to change the API key to the PAT.  It just refuses to create the record in the Archive base, Make and Filemaker both canAny assistance would be very much appreciated as I cannot see what is wrong the PAT has full access to all scopes and I'm baffled and have even tried a new PAT codeRegardsGordon

Hi, forumla gurus! I’m working on a scheduling database linked to our list of work. I’m a little caught up in the process of flagging when a staff member is on two shifts at the same time. Using @W_Vann_Hall’s formula to count occurrences in a string, using the start datetime and a list of all the staff member’s shift times from a rollup field, I can flag when they have a shift that starts at the same time, as below. IF((LEN(ARRAYJOIN({All Allocated Start Times}))-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(ARRAYJOIN({All Allocated Start Times}),{Start Time},"")))/LEN({Start Time})>1,"Clashing",BLANK()) The next step is adding to the formula so that if the start time is between the start and end times of existing shifts, it raises the clashing flag. Any help in the process would be appreciated!

I own and operate a cleaning business. I have created a base that lists all the locations and the scheduled dates and times. I also created fields that show the day of the week by both number 0-6 or the actual name Monday, Tues, etc. I recreated the Employee scheduling base within my base so I could easily relate bookings with cleaners. So the employee table shows what days of the week the cleaner is available. I created a field on the booking table to be able to select cleaners to assign to the job and I included a lookup field to be able to compare the available days to the service day. So far the availability is only by day not by specific time ranges but if I need to expand it for days and times I can look into that.I can do basic automations and basic formulas so I am sure that this can be done but it is out of my skill level. Is there a way for me to be able to have the program give me a list of cleaners that are available that day of the week and not scheduled on another booking

Hello, I make my aplication on Grist but when I use it more it makes me more trouble. I wonder if I can make that tables in Airtable.I want to have tables with contacts, products, transport companies.Then I want to have sections with years - when I click for year I see table with months and every mont have table with transport my goods. (that table with goods will also have widget (document) I can print and use as delivery document for driver.Then I want to have summary table that will show me costs for transport on every month.Regards.
