Hi Airtable Community! I am looking for a way to pull values from multiple columns into a single cell. The setup is as follows: I have a list of countries, and each country has a team comprised of people from multiple departments. The departments each have their own table in the base, so when I create a table of Country Teams, each line item (country) has multiple departments that it's pulling from. In the example above, the bolded columns represent linked records. I need help creating the "Team List" column and eventually the "Team Email List" column (which will likely use a Lookup or Rollup function to pull emails from the different Department tables). But I have been having trouble figuring out how to create a column that pulls values from multiple columns across an entry. Can anyone help with this? Thank you!

Hi there,New to Airtable and have been experimenting with it, together with ChatGPT and reading the community treads.I'm trying to create a system for my new video production company, where I'd like to add single or multiple freelancers to each project and set their day rates and number of days worked. Ideally I would have a default value, but I want to be able to set different day rates for different freelancers even if they are working on the same project. This would be helpful to track what each of my projects costs (I have an Expenses table as well) and I want to incorporate these to a Cashflow table later.I have a Freelancers and a Projects table so far, they are linked to each other. ChatGPT and Bard recommended me to use formulas that try to reference fields from the linked tables, but as I read it here, that is not even possible.What would be the best way to go about it?Many thanks,vor

I have a question about Grouping… I understand how to Group a grid view. I am doing so by a Multi-Select field, called “Topic”. The problem (which is one of preference) is that some of my items have more than one Topic assigned. The way Grouping works, it shows distinct groups for combinations of Topic, eg. Not only a Group showing items with a “Red” Topic, but also a Group for items with “Red”, “Green” AND “Blue” Topics. I’m curious if I could force a Group to show all the items with the corresponding Topic. It is confusing to see this many Group combinations thanks to Multi-Select.

I have a base that acts as a sales pipe line of sorts with each stage having its own table (Bid Board, Pre-Approval, Live, Shipping, and Completion). I have it set up through multiple If-status > Create record automations to move a job along the tables once it reaches a specific stage. This has been working great for me but there is one issue. If I notice there is a mistake or I need to update some information on an existing record (for example "client name") I would need to manually do it across each table.I tried to set up an automation using the following -Trigger - When Record is UpdatedActions - Find Records > Update RecordWith the intention of having it detect that a record was updated, and then reflect that update on the second table. For example if I updated a Customers name on "Bid Board," then the automation also correct it on "Pre-Approval."Testing the automation returns all check marks but actually trying it in live nothing happen

Hi, I have setup an airtable base to show tickets from another application (via a csv export). For higher management, we have filtered to show how many tickets each team has and what is outstanding and closed (as well as dashboards to have further insight into these tickets). I am unable to compare/show the % increase/decrease via Airtable. Below is in the interface but I'm hoping to show the % in the Data tab. For example Oct-Nov there was a 41% increase but I am unable to find a way of showing this.  The aim is to allow Month on Month, Quarter by Quarter and Half by Half comparisons in %.  

I want to create a conditional rollup field that only calcualtes the sum of values that are marked as Completed (so there’s a column with a checkbox - I only want to calcualte the totals if the row has that checkbox selected with a tick) - Makes sense? How do I do that? I know I can do that in Excel right? Can I do it in AirTable?

When importing a CSV with a multi-select column, Airtable will always detect commas as a separator and make tags from it. But in my case the tags contain commas I don’t want to have as a separator. Do you know any workaround to either avoid thos specific commas to be detected as a separator, or change the separator character ? Thanks !

Hi! I am working on maintaining student learning records. I have two multiple select fields: one with "Student" names and one with demonstrated "Competency". I would love to create new rows for each combination of Student and Competency, and copy over the same Date, Experience Description, and Location. For example, record number 2 on the screenshots,, I would like one record with the same date/description/location for Chloe/STEM-Scientific Application, one record with the same date/description/location for Chloe/Design-Outcome, one record with the same date/description/location for Emily/STEM-Scientific Application, Emily/Design-Outcome, one record with the same date/description/location for Kendall/STEM-Scientific Application, and one record with the same date/description/location for Kendall/Design-Outcome. 

Y’all! I need help with reporting. I NEED to be able to pull from multiple tables. Our database is almost entirely qualitative (we are tracking progress on a large health improvement plan). currently it appears I can only pull from one table at a time. OR good reporting app that integrates directly with Airtable? Tableau doesn’t integrate directly so I lose all the relationships I built between each data table. I’ve built a great database with no way to report out what is in it!..

I have been running Airtable for at least 5 years and am very familiar with it. Can you add an integration with Tableau (the same way that Google Sheets currently integrates with Tableau)? Alternatively, can you tweak your API so that Air Table to Sql Server via Zapier allows a user to edit an existing row and then sync that row with a table in Sql Server?

Hi I am looking for a way that I can export to a word document. I work on a local magazine published in several different areas. One of the features of the magazine is a list of local clubs and societies. We currently just have the list in Word which we then copy and paste the relevant parts each month into our design package. As we cover 7 areas and some of the clubs cover both areas every time we make a change we have to check 7 word files to make the change in each. There must be an easier way! I was hoping I could create a database with all the info and export the info to be printed onto a word document but can only see that I can do this to a CSV file which is no good for then placing into the magazine. Any help would be appreciated

I'm new to Airtable and looking to see if this will be a good platform to use.I created an Excel file that has a lot of information, so, based on the rows selected by a user, I want it to export out separate word documents based on those rows only and the word document would include the information from each column and that word document would be company branded. Hopefully, my question makes sense,Is that possible?

I am wondering if anyone has encountered this scenario below.We have a team of graphic designers that will submit a form to the retouching team in Airtable.Sometimes, the initial request needs to be changed and we are looking for a way for the designers to be able to re-open the request.Most designers are not in Airtable and no designers are allowed within the Retouchers base.Does anyone have any thoughts on a way of re-opening a request without having users in Airtable? 

I've created a simple form which allows users to select a name from the table and provide some details + a file upload. After the form is submitted I update the record (leads to a duplicate record being created, but ignore this issue for now). I've now had over a thousand submissions via my bio link in instagram, but around 20-35% of people complain that they get a "page not found" message after submitting. I have tried this out and this only happened to me once when testing after I opened the link in the instagram browser (as opposed to opening it in Safari). Anyone know what this issue could be, i don't have a url redirect on form submissions so it should just be displaying the thank you message I have written.

Hi there, I’m trying to set up an automation that sends an email every day at 12:15am notifying security about who wants to come onto site today, and if they are “not approved”. The email includes a grid of all records that match the conditions “date of entry is today” and approval status is “not approved” I would like to include that day’s date in the subject line and the body of the email. I’ve set up a formula field to give me today’s date, and another field to format how I want it to look in the email, purely for the purposes of this automation. My automation is set up as follows: Send email at 12:15am every day Find records where date of entry is today, and approval status is not approved Send email To insert today’s date into the email subject and body, I was inserting the field ‘todays date formatted’ from the find record step. But if I have say 3 records, it gives me the date 3 times. Is there any

Use case: I have a grid of store locations. Each store location has an address and a lat-long coordinate pair. What I’d like to do is show the potential discrepancy between the geocoded address and the lat-long. Except, not as a number, but as either two map pins, different colors a line segment, where one end is the geocoded lat-long and the other the given lat-long I’ve done this in the past, in tools like Tableau, carto.db and even GoogleMaps (where I’ve calculated the line segment behind the scenes in MS-SQL) Something like this, but obviously at a much, much smaller scale

When I make an API call using a Personal Access Token I have set up, it returns Error 401 Authentication Required - but if I change out the PAT to use the API Key, it works just fine.Am I not able to use PAT's whilst I have a API Key enabled?

Is there a way to make a timeline's summary bar display different values over a given object's duration? I'm trying to make a map of the effort levels for various projects to forecast my team's workload at a given time (not using utilization because I'm assigning to users instead of a user-entity table). Each item on the timeline is a project, happening from a start date to an end date, with an effort level associated with it. The timeline is grouped by the user assigned to the project, and I've set up the summary bar to sum the effort levels so I can see how much total workload a team member has. However, the projects don't actually take the same amount of effort the whole way through - the second half of the project is a lot easier, so having the same effort value throughout the project's duration makes it look like the 2nd half is harder than it actually is. I'd like to program the summary bar to do something like "first half of project = full effort value, 2nd

I have a pretty basic automation that grabs a few records in a grid and sends them in an email. The issue is that it seems that in between finding the record and sending the email two different fields go blank. I've attached screenshot examples. The first is the result of "Find Records" and the second is the Grid emdedded in the email (with information censored). Note how in the second image, Product Type and 2024 Rate Availability are both empty. This is actually happening on two different automations that are set up to run on different cadences, but I haven't been able to find issue within the automations or within the records themselves.Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?
