Hello. I have two information bases which from I plan to create a project. The first base is a list of equipments. The second one is a list of template rooms, each room has own list of equipments, equipment is a link to the first base and it has a multiple choice for equipment. My plan with a project to create rooms and link it with template room from rooms base and get list of equipment by vlookup. My problem is one row for each room in destination and list of equipments just in one cell. Is anyway to get common table to transform multiselect field of equipments to several rows for each kind of it? Desired result in attachment. 

I am the owner of a workspace with pro licens and I want a user to be able to add values for selected records but nothing else. After some time I want to lock the values. Can this be done? In a base there is a table that allows only creators to create/delete records. The table contains sensitive data in a specific field. A view of the data filters out, say, data belonging to March and is named “march-data”. The view is locked A user with permission “Editor” is granted edit permissions in the specific field. The user can now add values in the specific field in the march-data view — great! But The user can go to the filter and “duplicate as personal view”. Hi, I have some data I have collected from 2 separate clients I have done work with throughout the past couple of years. Is it possible to create 2 separate tables that  pull the information from the original created table and separate them into the 2 separate tables ?The goal is to be able to continue adding data to the original table but it that will automatically update the other 2 tables. The 2 table data's with be shared with each specific client and I don't want them to see their competitors project informationHopefully that makes sense. I have attached an example of my original table and clients name is the data I would airtable to separate into different table

Has anyone used this to build a front end for a large scale use case. What did you think of it compared to it's competitors like Stacker or Softr?

Hi everyone - I feel like there should be an easy, elegant solution to this challenge, but I can't figure it out nor find a similar solution that applies and it is driving me nuts.I have a personal expense transactions table with some basic fields: date, expense, category, person, account, etc. I have a Budget Month field that I populate manually to tag and group transactions to a monthly time period, though I can probably do this with a formula (?).There is a 2nd table "budget summary" that attempts to summarize the Expense Transactions table by Budget Month AND by person. I was able to create a link to all the transactions for the Budget Month, then individual roll-ups for each category. I was able to do the same by person on a separate table.However, I cannot figure out how to filter/roll-up by Budget Month AND person. I have a product that expires in one year. If they purchase an upgrade, it extends the expiration another year. The records are added individually to Airtable. How do I say IF this email address has product A, check to see if it also has product B in another record?

Hello! I am trying to figure out a formula to help me calculate a score for a multiple select field. For example, I have 6 different issues to choose from. If they select “no issues” I want the score to be “20”, if they select 1 of the issues, I want the score to be “5”, and if they select 2 or more of the issues, I want the score to be “0”. Is there a way to do this with a multiple select field? Thank you in advance!

One of my workspaces is showing 1.3GB / 1GB Attachment space used, so I deleted some Photoshop files that I don't need in there (as I have them saved in DropBox) and it's still showing up as 1.3GB / 1GB Attachment space. Why won't it refresh with the new, correct attachment space number?

I have spent conservatively 3 hours reading posts and watching videos on linking records, lookup fields, etc. It seems that an enormous number of Airtable users are facing something similar - the need to automatically relate to tables but pulling data from one into the other. I have two tables, (Table 1) A table of submitted results/answers and (Table 2) A table that pairs each potential answer with a "response." So as a new record is created in Table 1 (through API with Typeform) with user email and user ID, the answers are now available in Table 1 - and each answer has an empty field next to it for a "response." I want Airtable to take each "answer", look it up in Table 2, and return the "response" - populating it in the designated field adjacent to each "answer" in Table 1. I cannot do this manually, where I create a link and then go clicking plus signs, finding the answers etc. I need this to just happen. I have a table that contains subscription dates using the date field. I’m trying to create a new grid view with a filter that just shows dates that fall into the current month. Seems simple, but I can’t figure it out. I can see how I can use the “is on or after” and “is on or before” operators, but I’d have to manually enter the dates each month. Am I overlooking a setting or is my ask more complicated than I assume? Thanks!

Recently, and inconsistently, when I update a field, the Chrome prompt for Update Password comes up. If I'm updating many fields, it keeps coming up. Extremely annoying to say the least. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution? I don't get this behavior in other browsers, but I'm pulling data from Google Drive and I find working in Chrome easiest. I've got a Windows 10 64-bit laptop with Chrome Version 117.0.5938.150.Thanks!

Hello! I’m building my online store using WooCommerce (on Wordpress.) Trying to think ahead a little bit, regarding how to manage inventory. I’ll outline some points of consideration, using numbers for the community to easily reference when responding: We have 306 product SKUs. Some SKUs are variations of a single product (e.g. we may have product X which has 8 variable combinations, thus 8 different SKUs. When someone buys one of our variable products on WooCommerce, the inventory on my site is automatically decreased by the amount of stock purchased. I would like to have this new inventory change, also take effect on my Airtable database, decreasing the stock number by the same amount purchased on my site) Another point to consider… When I place an order from my Wholesale suppliers I will get a bunch of new inventory for a variety of existing SKU’s. I have two tables. Organisations and Investors connected through common tags.In the first page of my interface I can choose the list of investors from a dropdown. Once I select one investor, I get to see a list of tags connected to the investor on the same page. When I click on the tag, I see the list of organisations connected to that tag on the next page. I go through the list and choose one organisation for the investor using a checkbox field. As soon as I click the checkbox field, I want a column next to it updated with the name of the investor that I selected from the dropdown. Is there a way to pass the name of the investor selected from the dropdown from the first page to the second page?

I find the Grouped view of tables very useful, but need to be able to get the data into Excel format for my board of directors. Is there any way of doing this without downloading the whole, increasingly large, table?

Hi Folks, I've been trying to come up with an elegant solution to this and am hoping the community here can help me. I have several fields of checkboxes marking different assets available in our library. I would love to create a signal field that would list which fields are still unchecked. Is this possible? I've tried a few variations but nothing is working. Thanks!

I am wondering if it is possible to create an automation where a pool of 10 freelance job candidates are prioritized according to distance from an added Japan Postal Code, and then emailed one after another with a 24 hour deadline to respond if available or not for the job. So if Candidate #1 marks himself as unavailable, then the system would then email Candidate #2. If the entire automation is not feasible, how far could the automation be taken? Would it be possible to do with a free Airtable account? Thank you.

Hi,I have a table that contains Tasks. These are assigned to User using the User/Collaborator field.I want to be able to create an automation that runs daily, finds all the tasks in a view (Follow-up today) and then send an email to each User that is found in this view with a list of all there tasks. I'm trying to think of the best way of doing this without different views for each user. I was thinking I need to find a unique list of users that are in that view and then have a repeating step  to find all tasks in that view associated to that user and then send them an email. I'm not sure how to find unique users that have tasks in that view as there will be multiple tasks for the same users.Any advise appreciated? Jason      

This is not so much a question as it is a request. I think the fact that having editable sync’s views is such a win in terms of cross base collaboration. I’m curious that why this is not achievable with lookups.  I often use parts of a sync’d based records to fulfill another tables needs but even though the shared view is editable as soon as you use a linked field to those records the ability to edit almost becomes mute. it would be great to be able to have these lookups be editable, it will bring so much more power and flexibility to how we can cross collaborate on our bases.

Hello,I have been looking at the boards for hours now and can't seem to find the formula I am looking for. I have it in Excel however, the formula does not work in airtable. =DATEDIF(0,C2,"Y") &" Years "&DATEDIF(0,C2,"YM")&" Months "&DATEDIF(0,C2,"MD")&" Days "Ideally, I would like to take out the Total Days part and just get the Breakdown from the Start Date. At this point though, either way would work. Can someone please help me out with the formula.

Similar to using the ctrl F feature in a spreadsheet, is there an option to keep all records in the grid when using the search feature in an interface? Right now it's only filtering the view for records that contain the specific keywords. I know that this is possible in a data table but I don't see this feature in the interface.
