I've been building interfaces that have "add record" buttons in them, and because of that I've realized that I've miscategorized some primary record fields for what a record is called when I first created a table. For a table that is based on personnel records I somehow selected "company" from the dropdown list when I first made the table and now in the interface for a personnel record I have a button that displays "Add Company". Ideally I could change the "What should each record be called?" option in each table, but I'm not seeing any way to do this once the table is created and the initial selection is made. Alternatively, I would love to be able change it to "Add Person" as one of the options in the interface designer, but doesn't appear that's an option either.Does anyone know a way to do this either in the interface designer or after a table has been created?

I'm getting the error 'Field "Student" cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field.'. The field "Student" ISN'T a computed field, though; it's a linked record field.What confuses me the most is that when I tested this automation it worked flawlessly, both in 'generate a preview' and 'run as configured' tests. It's only in live runs that it fails. Does anybody have any clues as to what's going on?

As of this morning, Grid Elements have been showing an error message:"No Records found for [email address] that match current filters. Remove filters to see more results."Tested with List Element instead and that's working fine.  Any idea when this will be fixed? My team relies on Grid elements to access their workflow.

I am trying to create a script so it will give me a running total for a base view on certain columns. For example. My brokerage I want to make a top 5 in different categories on our interfase. From what I am seeing I can not add columbs up so I created views for each agent. When I @mention someone on Interphase and they get an email notification to link them to the base to see the comment, is there a way to link them to the Interphase via that notification? I’m running into a bit of trouble with @mentioning someone and they’re taken to a gridview instead of the Interphase view. My gridviews and my interphase shows different fields so when they’re taken to a grid view, they don’t see the necessary information/fields.

Hi there,Is there any method to write a POST request with the filterByFormula parameter within the request's data, while also applying a sort? I've attempted to add the 'sort' parameter within the request data payload but I'm encountering parameter validation issues. I would love to have Airtable help me to map out the prerequisites for an academic program but I'm having a little bit of trouble. Imagine a list of courses - some are required for the program, some are electives, etc... Many of these courses have prerequisites. For example, before you take course F, you have to have already taken course B.If it were that simple, I'd be able to use the flow chart extension to map everything. Unfortunately, it gets a little complicated when prerequisites include multiple courses and even "this OR that" cases. For example, "before you take course F, you must have taken both course A AND course B OR you must have taken course C". I tried to use different fields for each case with an "or". Hello everyone!I ran into a problem which I currently have no idea how to resolve.I have a script using an API call which logs the user into external system. This is not an automation script, but the script from a scripting extention. This is because fetch() function behaves differently and only passes authentication data when used in scripting extention. I can run the script pressing a field button in a grid layout.Data grid:Now I need to provide the user with an interface button that would finally resulted with logged in state. But this seems not as easy as it can be imagined. Does anyone else here use softr and is noticing severe lagging and slowdown in the app after oauths were implemented? When we confronted Airtable, they told us that:to summarise, there are actually 2 limits on the api call5 calls per second per base5 calls per second per user/integration pairand it is the second one that softr is having issue handling. Any suggestions on:1. what alternatives to softr are out there that have existing integration with airtable2. screw airtable altogether due to these new limits -> find an alternative

Hello --As of this morning, when my team logs onto any interface with search enabled (on a grid), it is almost instantly searching the table for that user's email. I do not have "Viewer's records only" selected, and when I am in the editor view the search bar is blank. It's almost like it's trying to treat the stored information from the user's browser as a login (note: it is happening across multiple browsers).It has happening across multiple interfaces and interfaces that pull from multiple tables. I don't know if this is a known issue, or if there's some global setting I didn't know about that I've accidentally toggled.Thank you 🙂

I have 5 non-value fields that indicate if a person has paid an application fee or not. The fields are: 180 GBP, 210 GBP, 240 GBP, 270 GBP, and 300 GBP. If a person has paid, it will say "Completed" under the column that they have paid. It will say "Not Started" if they have not paid. For example: If person A has paid the fee of 240 GBP, it will say "Completed" under that column, and it will say "Not completed" under all of the other monetary columns. (it was not my idea to organise it this way, it is just the way it has to be!)I would like to add a formula field called "Paid" that can identify if a person has paid (Yes or No) based on the statuses of the 5 monetary value columns. I want it to recognize that if 1 of the columns in a row is "completed" that the "Paid" value will be "Yes."Does anyone know if this is possible? Please see photo attached for an example of how the fields are laid out, and a sample "paid" field. 

So I have a table called "Dealerships" and a table called "Services". Each record in "Services" has a date, an amount, and a link to "Dealerships". I'm creating an interface that will aggregate these, so I can know the amount that came from each "Dealership". I know I can do this with a Rollup, but the problem arises when I try to use a Filter element in the Interface.I have a "Dashboard" page and a "List" element sourced from "Dealerships". This list contains both the Dealership name and the rolled-up amount.I need the user to be able to select a date range via a Filter and have the Rollup be updated to only add up the services that match those dates. I haven't been able to find a way to do this. The closest I came to a solution was to use 2 levels in the List, which actually DOES filter the services in the 2nd level but does NOT change the value in the Roll-up accordingly.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Greetings, I have a zip code field that's either 5 digits or 9 digits. I need a formula to display the zip code as either 12345 or 12345-6789 depending on the content of the field. I know How to write the beginning of the formula, I do not know how to write the if 9 part.  I have IF({Zip Code} <6,{Zip Code}, Need to describe the 9 digit code with a dash.)Anyone have a thought on this? I am using a number field for the zip code. Is this the correct field to use?Thanks, Scott

I’m trying to figure out the best way to send single send sorts of emails to people in my database.I’ve tried using the built in segmentation tools of typical mailing list software, but my needs are much more variable and ultimately at the end of the day it’s soooo much easier to just put together my list in Airtable via filters.  And then I could fill in the little extra info I need from there into a templated email of some sort.  I really only need to send a few sentences of info. Is this something I could feasibly do? I assume using sendgrid or similar?

I created a staff scheduler with a series of automations that copies a shift (Workday Date and Start/End Times, Location linked field, employee linked field, notes) to a future date based on 4 checkbox fields (creating a shift 1, 2, 3 and 4 days in the future).While the tool works great, I started receiving an error with only ONE location linked field every time I try to copy a shift. The error reads as follows: 'Creating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.' I have tried several fixes, including creating a duplicate of the location in question in the parent table and cutting and pasting pertinent information and linking fields about that location into the new record. I am completely stumped and as it is impossible to reach Airtable directly anymore, I figured I'd turn to the forums.Thanks in Advance!

It would be awesome if Airtable added 'This Year' and 'This Month' to the filters. This way, I could create a view of records, like expenses or invoices, that apply to this month or year. I'm actually surprised this is not already a feature. It seems like it would be a simple addition.

As per the attachment, I have created an automation with multiple steps starting with a form being submitted and ending with an email being sent to the customer who submitted the form.The email body requires data from the previous steps of the automation to be updated.The problem is that it seems the automation doesn't run in sequence (each step following once the previous one has been complete), rather all steps run simultaneously. This causes the email body to be missing data, because the final email is being sent before the records have been updated according to the previous steps.Am I doing something wrong?

Hello!I have the following bases tables:- Team- Emails Teams has records of people grouped by single select types of teams (Management, Development, Operations).Emails has email records that is populated by a form. The form asks for, among other things, the group it is to be sent to. This is a separate field not linked to the team field in Teams. Once the email has been approved, i have a trigger when the status of the email submitted is "good to go".I would like to know how to go about automating sending an email when that is done, to the defined group of people. e.g. Team "Management" is selected on the email submission form, once approved the an email sends to that group.Appreciate any help 🙂 PS: Is there a way to manually send an email from airtable? Perhaps it can be modified to send when a different form is filled out, with say su
