Hi all,How can I take the first attachment from a list of attachments and place it in another attachment field? Is there any solution that does not require scripting or integrating Zapier/Make? Cheers

HelloMy company builds complex machines with many parts. A lot of these parts, I need to buy and keep track of delivery dates and whether or not the item has been deliverd.What is the best way to set up an airtable to show all the delivery dates for all items across all my projects?If possible in one interface?Lets say I have three projects running. I need to be able to quickly manually add products to any of these projects and see all delivery dates in one calender so I have an overview. But I also need to see each project seperatly Do I create seperate tables for all these projects? (this may lead to many tables)Best practises here?

My automation runs when a form is submitted. This form includes two pre-filled fields: Asset Name and URL Location that are located in the Assets tableThe form resides in the Updates table, and when the form is submitted, whatever value has been added to the URL Location on the form successfully updates that value in the URL Location field in the Assets table.Now, I want to modify the automation so that when the form is submitted, it will also update the Asset Name field in the Assets table. But I am unable to fiddle with the pre-filled Asset Name value in the form, like I can with the URL Location value. I think this is because the Asset Name field in the Assets table is the primary field. I can easily change the name directly in the table itself but can't figure out how to do this through the form.Any ideas are most welcome.

As part of my workflow, I have a view in my base where I put in all my tasks for the day, which the populates my calendar. To make this work, I have "Date Start" and a "Date End" fields with the date and the start/end time of the record so that it'll be placed correctly on my calendar. This works great but has caused an issue with creating another view that I need, a daily summary.I want to have a view that groups my records by date so that I can see how much I earned that day, how much I worked, and other stats. I can filter my records to show me this information for a single date without any issue. But I'd like to have a view that shows all my days work grouped together to be able to build a few extensions around the resulting data. The problem is that AT will group based on the entire field information, so including the time, and not just the date (see attached screenshot).The only "workaround" I can think of is to have a third date field with just the date, but thi

Hi,After the great deployment of interfaces for iPhone I have created an interface that I use with my iPhone.I'm finding problems when completing numeric fields, when I want to introduce a number for example 15.25 after I introduce the first number the field autocompletes super fast as 1.00 and I have to be racing agaisnts the time here.Am I the only one having this problem? 

Hi, I have invited a read-only user to an Interface. There are many read-only users added to it and ideally they would not know what other users have access to it.If a read-only user navigates to the lower left corner while being on the Interface there's the Share button which can take you to the Manage Access tab and it provides an overview of all users.I have the workspace sharing setting 'Restrict adding new collaborators to this workspace, its bases, and its interfaces' on. 'Restrict Interface Sharing' is also turned on in the Interface settings.I have the 'Team' plan for the Workspace. Is there a way that I prevent read-only users from sharing the Interface and seeing the users?Thanks!

I would like to gain a better understanding of how the integration with Outlook works, specifically the aspect concerning the creation of new records upon receiving emails in the "Task" folder.I've set up an "Integration" that generates a new Task when an email is received in the "Task" folder. The integration seems to be functioning correctly, but I'm a bit puzzled about one thing. It appears that when I move a very recent email from the Inbox to the Task folder, the integration is triggered. However, if I move an email that's a few hours old from the Inbox to the Task folder, the integration seems to ignore it.Could someone explain the circumstances under which the integration is triggered? What specific conditions need to be met for the trigger to activate? This clarification would greatly assist me in using this feature effectively.Thank you for your assistance and support.

Our client uses Trybooking for their attendees when the purchase promotional material. There is currently no way to export the data CSV to Airtable except for downloading it manually. We have over 500 records that are going to come through - so manually downloading the CSV in Trybooking, and uploading the data into Airtable daily, is too time consuming.I have the API for the Trybooking event and it says it's able to be used to "extract your data to external sources.". Is there any way to get the data to be sent automatically to Airtable? Unfortunately, Zapier isn't an option. I'm a complete programming newbie. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you!

Work with print media plans and I have an Excel workbook I've used for years to calculate costs. There are many variables with cost calculations and I will stay with this workbook however I'd like to export the final costs for each publication at each page size for import to Airtable to automatically calculate the costs based on each buy. Most buys consist of two components. A full page ad and a small page that accompanies the ad for legalese. Attached is screen capture of my media planning table and costs table with how I am trying to map costs. Is what I'm trying to achieve possible and/or is there a better way? I tried searching for a solution first and could not locate a similar request so if you know of link to send me to that would be great. Thank you in advance. 

We are a land surveying firm with records for each project.  Each record contains latitude and longitude information so we can map the records for logistical purposes.  It would help us to know when we take a new job if we have done a previous job within a 1/2 mile or 2640 feet of the new record.  We could build off of our previous work.  Does any know of a solution for a problem like this using a zap or other app in conjunction with Airtable?  I have seen several posts about converting addresses into lat/longs or vice versa, but that does not solve my issue.  Appreciate any wisdom or guidance someone might provide.

What does it mean if a dependency is categorized as "Fields" (as opposed to View configurations, etc.)? What triggers that type of dependency?

Hello community I am having issues with a table of mine. I run a trucking company and have a table to calculate my estimated expenses down to a per mile bases. So I assign expenses and revenue to certain cells and it help generate my CPM. Although I am have an issue that is making things more time consuming. When I assign and revenue or expense to a cell it does not remove the item from the selected field of available expenses or revenue. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

This consists of multiple columns of data, but for this question only the client name is relevant.A table with all the individual tasks made up as rows. Hello. Currently I am using Airtable free version with Softr free version to run an webapplication. Now with the new pricing plan of Airtable, will I still be able to connect my Airtable base with my Softr application if I stay on the Airtable free version?

I am aware there is no way to "overwrite" data but I'm trying to figure out how else I might accomplish what I need.I have a very basic 2-table base.  Table 1 is "Call Log" and Table 2 is "Users".  I want to set up a default set of fields (location, type, job) that apply to specific people.  For example, "Bob" might default to Ohio, Office, Data Entry, whereas "Linda" might default to Kentucky, Warehouse, Stocking.  But as I do the weekly logs, their job scopes and locations might change.  If everything is added to the Call Log table from lookups (pulling the defaults) I know I can't directly edit them.  What would be a best-approach (I'm not against some scripting or automations either!) on handling when I maybe want to track that Bob is in Indiana and Linda is in Ohio.Thanks!

Hi All - I'm struggling with creating calculations on the base shown below. What I'm trying to do is calculate the % change in total enrollment growth by 1YR, 5YR and 10YR between Fall Years for each university (it would be a changing calculation with each new Fall Year record added for each university).While this is easy to do with a vlookup in Excel (i.e. matching University, Fall Year and Total Enrollment with Fall Year-1, Fall Year-5, Fall Year-10), I'm struggling with a finding solution here in Airtable.I'm feeling like it might require a linked Lookup table (or adding another field) to make it work. But just not sure how to go about it. Or, if it's even possible between records in Airtable. The numbers shown below for the % growth fields were imported from Excel. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!&

Hello, I have created a sign-up form in Airtable for our nonprofit. When the form is submitted, I would like to have that email, first name/last name contact record added directly to a Google Group. Is there a way to do this directly from Airtable?I have found work arounds with Zapier and Make, but would prefer to do it directly. 

Hello Airtable Community,Please, we have a problem when an automatic email is generated while reading the records from Table/Base. The numbers in the body of the email are returning differently from what they are placed in the Base. It looks like a bug during conversion since the screen preview is correct !!! Happens with date format and also values.I ask for help.Thanks in advance.
