Hey! I am trying to calculate the percent change between two numbers in the same column, just different rows. If I were doing it in Excel, it would be =(B9-B3)/B3 but I can’t seem to find the way to make this formula work in Airtable. Is it possible? These are the two rows that I am trying to calculate for: Hopefully someone knows how to help! Thank you!

We're trying to increase adoption of using our interfaces to update project status - it would be great if we could have our status field anchored in the interface header and be editable!Even having it in the first section isn't working for the team - they need it in their face 🙂

I would like to have a number field that increments by one whenever the “most recent sale” date field is edited so we can sort products by the number of sales. How do I make an automation that does cellA+1 when another cellB is updated? edit: If anyone knows of a way to do this without a third field, I’d be obliged.

Hello All,I'm trying to create a formula that will create a comma-separated list of headers from checked checkboxes.As you can see below when I check one of these boxes I would like it to automatically populate the Achievement Rollup Field with the heading of that field and any others I check.

After figuring out how to get the URL for individual sidesheets, and attaching that URL to a button and using the 'Open URL in record' action, the correct sidesheet is opened, but only after refreshing the page.I realize this is something of a hack to get sidesheets that aren't on the page to open, but has anyone had any luck preventing the page from refreshing, but rather just open the requested sidesheet as usual?Open url in new tab is unchecked. 

Hello. I am trying to create an automation or a script that updates a cell in a given table based on a unique identifier that can be matched to a unique identifier in another table. In my mind, I'm basically wanting to do a left join, except that I want to populate missing values in a column instead of just bringing the whole column in. So, more of a if x is null, x = value from column in another table mapped by a lookup value/unique ID.More detail about table structure:Table A: File NamesColumn A- Name [short text- is essentially file names, as in ThisDocumentName.docx]. Hello the Airtable Community! I’m working on a series of Airtable interfaces to handle different aspects of projects. It’s a kind of top-down structure, with interfaces drilling down into linked records e.g. clients > projects > invoices. The typical interfaces structure looks like this: Client A (Interface I) – Project A (Interface II) — Invoice A (Interface III) Client B (Interface I) – Project B (Interface II) — Invoice B (Interface III) To navigate between interfaces in the same client / project context, I’m using record pickers. At the moment, I manually pick the relevant record with the record picker and copy the URL parameters generated by Airtable back to my Airtable base. With such hardcoded URL parameters, I can repeatedly achieve the navigation flow that I’m eventually aiming for. Hello! I'm trying to write a script that I can run to populate a field in one table with a value that lives in another table. There are key values in both tables that match. I have worked in SAS and a little in Python for data analysis, but I am new to Javascript. Hi, I'm new to air table (about 2 months in, it's been in place at my company about 2 years)Some of our employees fill out a form on the flavor/texture of our product, where different categories are rated. That form in imported into another record with all the product information, so I can't see the results from their sampling unless I click the form, then it pops up.How can I get the information from the form into a spreadsheet? The person I replaced was doing it, but she's gone and didn't explain how to do it.

How can percentages be correctly calculated in the grid subtotals for groups, and totals for the entire view, when detail records are grouped and summed? It is not correct to average the percentages calculated on individual records. For example, see the attached image. The correct percentage gain is $500,000/$1,100,000 = 45%, not (50%+0%)/2=25% There should to be a formula calculated using the total of the two columns. Is this possible with AirTable?

Hi there... We are trying to use Airtable to forecast workload capacity vs. demand. Each project in our forecast has a number of tasks. Each task is assigned a "skill" (the skill required to complete that task), a person-week effort to complete it, and start/end dates. Hi all.  Airtable is refusing to allow me to create any buttons anywhere in tables (i.e. data section of Airtable), only in interfaces.When I try to create a button field in a table, I always get the same error message: "Sorry, there was a problem creating this field. I have an airtable base and within that base a table (table 1) several fields two of which are the email of the company and then a function that parses the email to get the company name.In another table (table 2) in the same base I have linked the company name to an investment fund.I am now trying to link the company in (table 1 ) to the fund it was linked to in table (2), how could I do this?One edge case I anticipate is capitalization / spacing, other then that there shouldn't be issues.I believe I need to use a lookup field but am having issues with configuration

Since the forms layout in the interface is so limited (no ability to add new records in a linked table, no options for lists, grids, etc...), I'm basically using the record details layout as a form for new records entry. The problem is that the solution isn't very elegant. My users have to add a record to a list, and then open the blank record to get into the details. Any idea how to implement a page that would act as a record details form without getting there from a list or grid?

Absolute Beginner here - still struggling to make Airtable do what I want. So here I am - ONE YEAR later after my first post here, and I am not much further forward in my use and comprehension of Airtable.Admittedly, I have not been continuously attempting to learn Airtable in all that time, but the interface really intrigues me and all the examples make it look really easy to master and the fact is - it isn't!  Being a retired database developer, I am not exactly new to the concept!However, I have just spent an hour trying to get a formula in an Airtable base record that gives me what I want - simple - you would think, but no - not for me!All I am trying to do is insert today's date when a status field in the record changes to a certain value.  I've learned that I can use the function today() in a formula field to achieve this. I am trying to create a formula with this information: If a person who booked the reservation was 2 then it should apply the formula if it was anyone other number then the field should be blank or 0.- I have created a field for booked by and put number per person - I have created another field that has : IF({Booked By} =2, "Yes", "No") so this part works ok  - I have created a 3rd field that has:{Points Paid} * 0.04  This works ok So what I am unable to do is say - If booked by is 2 then apply the formula (at the moment the formula inserts for every number not just 2)..... I hope I am making sense. A

Hello! I have set up an automation that post events that are scheudled on the days they happen. The automation is working well except for the time always posting in UTC despite the data being formated for EDT across all users for this particular table. I have added photos of the date set up in the table, the automation, and the post. Would anyone have advice on how to have it post in the correct timezone? Thank you!

New to Airtable, really want to make it work but it seems that it wouldn't work well as a CRM where there is a record of all e-mails and Whatsapp messages between us and the customer, and the ability to send emails/messages directly from Airtable seamlessly (please correct me if I'm wrong).Therefore I am looking at a second service to handle that. Any recommendations that would work well with Airtable?

Hi there,I am relatively new to Airtable.  I enjoy this platform very much and trying to learn more to allow for more automation.  I am hoping someone could assist me in trying to do the following:I have made a view of our enrollments that need to be audited.  I am then setting up an automation to send an email at a particular time of the month for our audit team to pick up this data to audit.  I have tried two different ways but not doing really what I am looking for it to do.First, I created the view in my workspace and then tried setting up an automation to send to our audit team at a certain day and time.  However, it won't let me choose this particular view to send.Secondly, I synced my view to the training teams table and then set up an automation to send the email when a record is added to the view.  This works but it is only an email.  So they have to log into Airtable to view the data.  I was hoping to atta
