I'm having problems with inputConfig. There must be a bug in the recent update. Last week I noticed a change in the interface when I attach files. Since then every single email automation with attachments fails to run due to "attachment url disallowed". Everything worked fine for the past few years, no changes have been made to automation. Therefore, they messed up something in the recent update. The automation test runs fine with no errors. So, nothing wrong on my side. Airtable support chat bot offered to clear the cache to solve the issue, which I did. It seemed to work temporarily. However, I have to clear cache each time for the automation to run, which is unacceptable. Also, clearing the cache is not helpful when the email automation with attachments runs from the forms (i.e. someone submits the form and uploads an attachment, which triggers the email automation). I’ve been working on a base with multiple tables as well as using some Zapier integration. Without going into too much detail, I want to create records in a table with records from another table, but with some updates. The two most important fields is the “ID” field and the “Events” field. Basically, if a user enters an ID and 5 as the number of “events” into the previous table, another table would automatically update with ID appended with 1-5. So 5 records each appended with numbers 1 through 5. For example: Table 1: ID: 123 Events: 5 Table 2: ID: 123.1 ID: 123.2 ID: 123.3 ID: 123.4 ID: 123.5 (5 Separate records) Is there any way to do this with airtable and zapier? I have tried many different types of zaps and even some scripting but I can’t figure anything out. Thanks!

Hi! I've been an Airtable user for quite some time, but recently my team has started to adapt their workflows to the platform, which means a lot of Excel spreadsheet imports. One issue we've come across is not being able to access the comments made on an excel document once imported to Airtable. Are there any workarounds to keeping these comments after import? That's one important aspect my team doesn't want to lose when moving over.  Thank you! 

I have tried now several times to contact sales regarding this issue and no response. I was wandering if Airtable had any sort of PII certifications or anything related to that. What about being HIPPA Compliant? 

Hello,I have a formula column where I dynamically build a string of characters. Everything is fine to build the new string.However, when I copy and paste (Command-C) the cell, I end up with a character " added at the beginning and end of the new string but also, by consequence, in the middle of my content if it detects a " character.It automatically doubles it! GrrrHow can I eliminate this problem? Thanks for your help. I am getting crazy.

I've seen some posts regarding this same issue, but no recent workable solutions so I'm posting again. This automation hasn't run for a few weeks (since June 😎 and no changes were made but it's no longer working. The step failing is sending an email. I get a message: "An attachment url is disallowed". The entire automation goes like this:1. When X form is submitted (including Z attachment)2. Find record (where record ID matches record ID)3. Send an email to Y email address with Z attachment (from X form submission). File format is pdf if that mattersSteps 1 and 2 run just fine...it's step 3 that throws the "An attachment URL is disallowed" message.Nothing has changed to the automation or the file format.What I do notice is a change in the URL of the attachment.This is the URL (incomplete) of an attachment when it was working on June 8. Currently we have an awesome interface setup that brings in 5 separate tables. Each time we want to go through and look for an item we need to input the variable five times. This makes the system inefficient. A global variable for interfaces would make the system more useable and relatively easy to implement I would imagine!

Hi,I have two tables:A table with 'Registrations', 'Courses' and a table with 'Sessions'.If a registration (for a course) is being added, After pressing a inline button, I want to prefill the field 'sessions' with the sessions from the sessions table where the  'Course' field matches the 'Course' field of the new Registration. It happens sometimes that people choose afterwards other sessions then the preselection of sessions. (absence, holiday etc)when button.pressedassign the value of field sessions to the linkedRecords where Sessions.Course is matching Registration.Course.Any suggestions?I'm quiet new into the field of Airtable Scripting... 

Hi! I am trying to create an automation that would allow be to block a "single select" option on a form when this option is booked somewhere else. To explain it better, I want to say: When a room (single select on form) is booked (single select on form), cross out this option on the room list (single select on form). We have an automation to send an email when a record is not empty.It works well when we set it for the first time in a new record, but when the attachment is deleted to place a new attachment, the automation generates a wrong URL for the new file and it causes a fail when sending the email in the automation.Can anyone help me with the issue as it is causing big trouble to our company workflow?Many thanks,Nacho

Hi Airtable community,I'm trying to write a script to update a column on my table based on different types of date ranges. I have the following columns that are relevant to the script:First column defines the type of date. Type 1 is regular date range (from day A to day B), type 2 is range with days of the week (Mondays and Saturdays from day A to day B), type 3 is random dates (July 1st, 7th, and 19th).Second and third columns are start and end dates, which are mandatory for every row.Fourth column is only filled out for type 3 dates, and it has DD/MM/YYYY dates separated by spaces.Fifth column is only filled out for type 2 dates (range with days of the week), and includes the days of the week to be included, separated by spaces.I created the script below to populates another column with a string of DD/MM/YYYY dates in each of those scenari

What could one do to include data validation in the conditional logic; e.g.: I am creating an internship application form and I want the applicant to select out of the list of employers. Once done, they can select the relevant internship position, nothing else. And also, how could we include the employer's email in it so that each entry is also sent to the respective employer?

Are seats the same thing as users? For example, if I invite someone to a table as a commenter, does that count against a seat, or do they have to be a collaborator on the whole base? How does that work?

I have created an automation to add a record to a table called "Client View" when a checkbox is ticked in the record in the table called "Project Schedule".  I want to control which fields show in the "Client View" record.  But, my first struggle is I can't get almost any of the fields to show!  In each record in the Project Schedule table, there are 13 regular fields, 3 linked fields from another table called "Project Catalog" and 10 lookup fields from those Project Catalog records.  I don't need all of those fields to show in the new record, but I do need information from many of the linked and lookup fields to show as well as the record name and regular fields.Trigger: when a box is checked in a record in Project Schedule...Action: create a new record in Client View

Hi, we are trying to create an automation to send an email to a company with multiple linked records, but are unable to use a List view to do this.Is there any way for us to send eg. ABC Logistics one email with multiple linked Allocations in a Grid format?I have attached a few screenshots - of our List view and the email we are currently able to send (email is formatted how we want)How would we go about setting up the automation - preferably don't want to have a separate automation for each Company name.Thanks

Hello,Looking for advice on the best way to structure products/ subtasks.  Basically we have a base with a lot of products that need to be created for clients.  Each product has an overall due date, someone assigned to work on it, start date, priority, etc.Sometimes these products are fairly simple meaning only one person will need to work on it; there are no subtasks, etc.  Other times, the product is quite complex and needs to be broken down into subtasks with their own due dates, assigned workers, etc.I'm trying to figure out the best way to structure this.  Right now, all the info associated with the product (pricing, quantity, date start, due date, priority, assignee, etc) is in the same table, but this quickly gets confusing if a product has subtasks.  What are my options here?  Can I create an automation so that when a product is created, it also creates a linked task on a separate "task" table?  And then if there are su

I have an ongoing problem (3 weeks) and i am unable to create an automation with Twilio.Apparently Airtable can't help either as their customer support has disappeared! Ref. 00577493I have a list of users in airtable with phone numbers (all correctly formatted).I want to schedule an SMS to subscribed users)I get this error when I run a test.The automation is configured to enter the phone numbers from the airtable list. As you can see in the error the automation is adding in lots of code into the list and I am wondering if this is the problem? I’ve got a bit of a puzzle which needs cracking here. I have a table in which each record is used to track jobs in my business. I have a Single Select field which tracks the job status of each record. Job status examples: Job Accepted > Worker > Reviewer > Manager > Complete I need to record the amount of time that a record spends in each status. I’m looking for something like this: Formula field - Time spent with Worker: 100 minutes Formula field - Time spent with Reviewer: 25 minutes Formula field - Time spent with Manager: 15 minutes The catch: records will sometimes move backwards and forwards through the statuses. i.e., record status will go from Worker > Reviewer > Worker > Reviewer > Manager. I can’t figure out how to make this happen (or if it is even possible). Can anyone think of a way to do this? I’d love to hear an alternate approach if there is one!

I have a "Person" table that has birth date. On another table, I lookup that birthdate to find the person's current age when "Event" happened. Next year, a new "Event" will have different age for the person (as they are a year older). But I need to know what age they were at each "Event"So how do I create a column of ages that are dynamic on entry, but don't change once they are entered?
