I have a formula field that returns the URLs of an attachment field. If there's only one attachment, it returns one URL in parentheses. But multiple attachments take this form: "File Name 1 (URL 1), File Name 2 (URL 2)".Here is an example: "Screenshot 2023-07-03 141051.png (https://dl.airtable.com/.attachments/c53420d1c5692651db4f6c34e5ddc19f/8256aa0b/Screenshot2023-07-03141051.png), Screenshot 2023-06-23 130019.png (https://dl.airtable.com/.attachments/1d08cfcdd7ce28fa575f0c20738ae2ea/bc5c5421/Screenshot2023-06-23130019.png)".I want to write a formula that will extract only the URL in the last set of parentheses, no matter how many other files are listed in the cell (or just the single URL if there's only one file). In other words, I want to extract the URL of the most recently uploaded attachment, which is always the last one listed in the cell.

My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users.For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original.Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users.Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.

HelloApologies if this has been asked before but I can’t find a solution that works. I have a base where all times should be for UK/London (it is scheduling of spaces in a building), wherever in the world I am I want any date or time entered to be UK time. Thankfully Airtable have now fixed this in the normal UI, but I am struggling to find a way of achieving this for dates entered via a script in a script block (not an automation) - I have an input.text field and can parse the date and time, but currently that time will always be based on the time zone of my browser, not the base. Does anyone know of a good bit of code to sort this out - I wonder if I should use offset. but I worry this would not work for DST?

Hi all, I am new to Airtable and would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Here is my use case:I manage freezer inventory for a small family business. They bring it food items, vacuum seal them and place them in freezers. The issue is, no one can remember what or how many of any specific item is in the freezers.I would love to be able to create an item tracking system for them in Airtable. For entry, I would like a form that they simply enter an item description. Once submitted, an item number pops up that can be written on the item. (Ideally, if there was a way for it to print a barcode on a computer attached Brother PTouch label  maker, that would be incredible). But either way, after an item is entered, it provides an item number, checks the item in as “in freezer” and adds a date. For removal, I want it to be extremely simple. When a staff member pulls something from the freezer, I would ideally have an ipad with a barcode scanner. When the item is pulled, th

Hi all,I see that publicly shared interface show record detail pages as sidesheets but not at full width or full screen (even when set to show as full width). Upon closer inspection it looks like airtable have it hardcoded in this class as a style, which is within the overall element, and not at the main embed level so the width for the record details when expanded is always 680px no matter what. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a workaround?  I also see record link button in the embeds on our website although it is not shown in the interface or in the preview, is there any way through which we can hide that? Appreciate any suggestions if you have faced similar situation. Thank you.  

Hi,Is it possible to somehow filter users away from interface dropdowns relying on a "User" field?We currently see both admin users, Airtable support users and some user's older user names in the dropdowns, which confuses people who should choose e.g. next handler for a topic.Rgds,BjörnPS. Related to this topic, would be nice to see user groups in Airtable. That would solve the need above.

Hello, Airtable friends! I have a table that has several file attachment columns and many rows. One of my workflows is go through the table and download all attachments for certain rows. It’s been a bit time-consuming to go download the files one by one, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to automate it.Does anyone know of an extension that lets you download all files attached to a given record? (My team and I are flexible on whether that’s a ZIP file, multiple downloads, etc.)  If not, does it seem feasible to write a custom block for that? Would greatly appreciate any perspectives on this!

I have a publicly hosted logo with a URL that I’m adding to my automated email using <img src=” “>. When I generate a preview, it seems to be working correctly: However, once I actually send the email, the logo doesn't populate and just shows the image icon: Can someone help and tell me how to fix this?

I have a digital asset management database with multiply artists. I would like to share only one artist’s assets with other people so they can edit on it, and the edit would sync back to my database too. I’m in Team plan currently.The solution I came up with is to create a View with only the data that I would like to share. Then create a 2-way sync and edit to a new base and share the collaborator permission of the new base. But that would require me to update go Business plan.I’m wondering if there’s a workaround with the Team plan?Thanks.

This is probably very basic for some of you but I’m new to this … I can’t figure it out. I have an automation that sends me an email of today’s tasks every day 7am. But if there are no tasks, I still get the email, but its an error, as below. Subject: Something went wrong with an automation: Send a daily digest - Airtable Any way to NOT send email if the task list is empty? I have tried conditional actions, (but the only conditions allowed relate back to the trigger - which is time based). Thanks

Currently, our AirTable automations — configured to react to triggers in specific table fields — are experiencing severe slowness and, in some cases, complete freezing. As a temporary workaround, we have had to manually disable and re-enable the automations.This performance issue is directly affecting users, who now have to carry out their tasks sequentially, one at a time, to prevent multiple automations from being triggered simultaneously. When two or more triggers occur at once, the system often freezes entirely.Most of our automations are related to status changes, which trigger actions like sending emails or inserting records into other tables. Hello! I’m setting up a community coworking space and would like to have a simple tap in/tap out system so we can log who’s visiting the space, how long folks are staying, and how the space is being used. My idea is to use NFC tags with unique webhook payload information stuck on cards that when tapped on a reader near the entrance, a webhook is fired into Airtable with the unique information about that tag. Within airtable we’d then set it to log the taps and workout if someone is ‘in’ or ‘out’ (with the ability to override of course). My questions:Does this seem like the best approach or would anyone suggest a different way to go about it? I’ve searched the forums and aside from some discussion around RFID I haven’t seen anyone talk about setting things up this way. If so, what’s the best way to configure the webhook to fire when the NFC tag is tapped? We’ll be using an office PC with an external reader, and I’m not sure what the best route is to go from ‘tap’ to ‘webhook fired’.Any

I’m wondering if its possible to create a file, encode it and then add it as an attachment. Since the attachment field needs a url the only way for me to do this would be to make an api call from within the script to store the file in an AWS s3 bucket, return that url and then attach. This seems like a huge work around. For now I can just use the raw text field in the text field, if the large text file fits, but for formated xlx files for example this won’t work. Seems like a long workaround just to output a file, is there another way to do this?

The eco system ive been introduced to utilises airtable as a referencing and task hub for projects. The base data is integrated with Softr where records are created using a tiered importance methodology.Can someone please advise me on how to do the below without adding coding or other platforms for integrations to enable?When a record is created in Softr a. all fields must be filled. b. records appear in Airtable with a round robin assigned workflor for relevent teams c. each time a record is completed by the necessary team, the workflow pushes the record to the following team  Possibly integrate slack as an additional layer to communicate internally as well as link to input and update the above Create a dashboard on progress for each user and user group to track progress at micro and macro level of each projectAll advice is greatly welcome! Hello, I was hoping to get some guidance on what I’m doing wrong in regards to updating the “completed by” field on a salon “shift duties” board interface. My partner built the base/interface for her salon and has asked for help in making the automation work.The goal would be to change the drop-down for each task to “not done” every night via a scheduled trigger.I’ve found a few related topics and used those to guide me but I can’t seem to get past testing the actual record updating part.If I utilize the list of record IDs from the ‘find records’ step, I end up with ‘ received invalid input’ errors.My automation process:Scheduled Trigger → Find Records (Where “Completed By” is any of [all options selected]) →  Repeating Action Group (Repeat for each in [List of records]) and →  Update Record (Record ID is list of all records found previously - “Completed By” field updated to “not done”)A couple pics of my attempt:I would love to know what I’m doing wrong! 😑Pic of the interface for con

I have two tables, Table 1 and Table 2, with different fields. When a specific record is populated in Table 2, I want the values of some of its fields to automatically appear in a corresponding record in Table 1where the cells were initially empty,  based on the primary fields of both tables, I’m calculating a total in Table 1 based on entries into records in several tables and need to have the total in Table1  automatically updated whenever the values change in the other tables. What is the best way to achieve this? IOW, what is the equivalent of XLOOKUP or Index Match in Airtable? 

I’ve just started some work as a freelancer for a company who have an eco system where airtable is the referencing hub for projects. Softr is used to create records linked to projects and the API pushes through the records to sit in Airtable. I’m searching for a way to create workflows easily:Generate automations whereby records that are imported from Softr to Airtable are automatically assigned to people in user groups on a sequential basis to spread workload Create a dashboard on progress for each user and user group to track progress.NB- this is entirely project based and therefore each step must be complete before progression. Thanks alot in advance for your input and advice! 

hi dear folks, I’m wondering, if I build the Base according to a specific project, once this project has been completed, how could I archive it? For instance, if I start from a Base on “house hunting”, after serval months, when I found the house, literally I shall not use this base anymore, it is no longer make sense to keep it on the workspace as well, and what’s the solution for the archive it in the local disk? Or do I need to archive it? Thanks for any pieces of advice.

I try to create CSV backup exports of all my bases as often as I remember. However, going through everything manually is a lot of work and leads to “not doing it” more often than not. I wish there was a way to automate this important backup process. Can this be done through an outside service maybe? Thanks in advance!

Hi all,Longtime lurker, infrequent poster. This might be a very simple issue, but it’s causing me grief & I can’t find any other posts about it.I have a table with my org’s class schedule (& all associated data) for multiple campuses. This is shared with the org in an interface. I’ve made a few different specific views, but mostly I have our users filter/sort/group the data in a way that suits their various workflows & bookmark the newly generated URL for future use. The customization option works great, and saves me from having to create a million views for all our teams. However, I can’t figure out how to allow users to show/hide fields, like they can in shared views of tables. Examples:Shared table view (with Hide Field option) Shared interface page (no Hide Field option) Is this feature hidden somewhere I’ve yet to find, or is it missing from interfaces?We’re on the Enterprise plan, by the way! Thanks :)

I'd like to have a changelog, ideally in Slack, that gets added to whenever a base, table, or field is created or deleted, and whenever a field name or type is changed. However, I couldn't find any functionality to allow this. Has anyone found a workaround for it? Thanks!

Hey everyoneMaybe I dreamed this, but I thought I could copy\transfer the layout of one existing Record Detail to another Record Detail.I know I can duplicate an existing Record Detail layout to a new Record Detail layout. That creates a new layout which I want to avoid since I would have to reference the new layout to replace a depreciated layout. And I have a lot of those that I need to clean up. Updating an existing Record Layout by using a different record layout is pretty useful.Is that possible? Was it ever possible? Thanks everyone!

Hi,I'm approaching launch for my first Airtable application, a support/ERP/CRM system for my wife's business (two users currently planned). Is there an agreed upon best practise how to launch a production version but yet be able to continue developing the application?I have little real experience in application management, although I have managed some LAMP applications with SQL updates and diffing PHP. I thought I would keep the current base as PROD, make a back-up of it and assign that a DEV role and continue developing new stuff there. But how to migrate changes from DEV to PROD?Rgds,Björn
