I welcome some quick feedback on my Base / Tables set up.   I have multiple projects I manage and after 2 months of using AT I’m increasingly concerned I’m digging a hole based on a flawed setup.  Is there a resource for me to get 10-15 minutes of evaluation / input?

Hi All,I’m relatively new to Airtable and I’m struggling to figure out how to structure the formula to do what I want. I know roughly how to do it in Excel, but really struggling to translate how it’d work in Excel to Airtable. There are multiple things I need the one formula to do, any help on how to structure one or more parts of the formula would be appreciated.Formula is in my “Modules” tab, but looking up data in my “Tasks” tab “Module name” field in both tabs is linked with a “Link records” type of field in the Tasks tab Each Module has multiple tasks (they’re sequential, with no more than 1 “In Progress” at a time) and I’m wanting the Modules tab to have a field that displays what Task is currently “In Progress” I also want it to state “Not started” if all the Tasks associated with that Module are “Not Started” or “Complete” if they’re all set to “Complete”The structures I’ve tried that are similar to Excel keep sayin

My team’s use of Airtable is growing a lot this year. As we develop new bases, there is basic, teamwide information that is repeated in tables across those bases. For example - locations, events, people.I’ve researched synced tables and feel like I have a basic understanding of how they work. Often, though, my experience is that I learn while building or doing work that a certain feature doesn’t do what I thought it would do based on my research.So I’m just looking for community feedback on this approach - perhaps setting up a base that houses tables with these basic details and then syncing those to multiple other bases. Are there limitations on the way you can use/interact with data that is coming from another table that make this not worth it? 

Hi all, hoping the hive mind can solve for what I think may be a common use case. Here we go…I have two tables:Table 1: List of records from form submissions. Records are only added to this table. Records are linked to another table with multiple look up fields. We have an automation that when a record is created in this table it finds a record in Table 2 by matching against a unique identifier and updates the lookup fields. If the unique identifier is not matched, the linked and lookup fields remain empty as seen in the screen grab below. Table name is named 1. Onboarding Form

Hi there,I’m trying to generate an automation email and insert text from a Lookup Field. So the email/name is in one table, and then there are Lookup Fields for the Subject and Content which come from another table. These are visible in the table, but when I try to insert them into the automation they come back as blank. I know the automation works as it already has variable fields inserted which work fine, but I can’t make the Lookup Fields appear in the email. I don’t get an error so I don’t quite know where I’m going wrong. I’m choosing the “Value” option from here. Any help greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to invoice multiple customers at once for the same item? Background: I publish a newsletter and charge a yearly subscription. I rebill them for a renewal on the month they signed up one year later. I have normal turnover so I mange my list. I was thinking I could create groups by renewal month and price level (I have three price levels, no sales tax, very simple) and add my customers to their assigned group. Then at the start of each month Invoice that group and it would create an invoice for each member of the group with the same item. I would like to avoid having to create an invoice for each customer which can range from 30-175, depending on the month. Side note: The reoccurring billing in my accounting software is clunky and with airtable I’m trying to build a CRM/Membership Management+Invoicing in one, the cleanness and quick drill down appeals to me. I’ve looked at other options but my customer base skews older (Farmers) and 75% pay by check. Any help or suggest

Hello, how can I create a PDF document in automation? I want to create a PDF from a database to send as an attachment, is this possible?

I have a date, some weeks, and some holidays. I need to add the weeks to my date and exclude all holidays and weekends. I’ve used the WORKDAY function. However, I’m a little uncertain how to treat my weeks. Should I multiply them by 5 (since there are 5 working days in a week) or by 7 (since there are 7 days in a week, and the function will filter out all the weekends)?    

I'm wondering if you can use data from a synced table in the pdf generator template? It looks like you can, but it's not showing up correctly in the template, so now I'm not so sure. Haaalp.

Hi, I have a Table "Main" that is Linked to table "Agenda".Being in Main, on a record, lets say “33” I want a button to view agenda filtered by ID (Both table have the ID field, in this case “33”).Any idea to turn aroud this?Im new to Airtable. I want to sort 9 fields of numbers on a single row and order them into 9 new fields on the same row that show the numbers from lowest to highest. If the old fields are labeled #1-#9 and the new fields are labeled A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I, then I want to search #1-9, find the lowest, and put it in A, then search #1-9 for the next lowest and put it in B and so on.I’m not sure if I need to write an automation with code, a script, or what, but the base features of Airtable do not seem to be able to handle this.

Following the advice to have all info on one table and use views, I have successfully created a one table base for my law library. For views separating case law and articles, for example, is easy. I have a field in which I enter a letter according to the subject. eg for cases, enter C, for articles enter A. For a different project, I should also like to have a one table base, but am unable to work out how best to add records where each primary field record (the record in the primary field) and its different fields have numerous records in the same field. For example: Existing Setup: 2 tables. Table 1 and Table 2 In each table I have 3 fields including the primary field. In Table 1, this primary field is renamed Property Next field is Y, the next field is Z. In Table 2, the primary field is Date. Next field is Location, next field is Notes. Location field is linked to Y in Table 1. Add 5 records: In Table I in Y

I have two multiple select fields that I am joining into one field. The items are showing in reverse order. is there a way to show them in the order in which they are entered in the multiple select field?

I need a form where clients can enter there data and as many fotos as they want taken directly with the ipad. I see from the similar topics results that there is a feature request for conditional formatting - if that has been done, please mention how to find it, or if it is a paid option? I’m trying to create a column that flags members of a specific category and their expiration date. SO - ideally, top level members (let’s say Platinum), with an expiration date greater than TODAY, would show in red, or have a checkbox or something. With expiration dates less than TODAY, would have an X. The base currently contains a linked field for member category, and a field for expiration date. Suggestions on how to achieve the desired goal described above, either as formatting the record (or fields in the record) or by updating a flag field that has blanks, checks or Xs. Thoughts?

Hello, these are two screenshots, one from a web browser and the second from the mobile app. The problem is that there is a missing “Add order” on the mobile app.   

I couldn’t find anything specifically answering this and it may be a dumb question. Within our workspace we have a base that has tables for the various types of common data we use, and that data is synced to its respective databases for each department. The particular table I’m looking at contains common site locations  that are used across the board. These site locations are synced to each respective department. However, each department may have their own unique sites to add. Is it possible to keep the common sites synced and also give each department the ability to  add their own sites to that same table in their respective bases?

I have an interface for managing tasks with two pages. On the first page, I am using grouping and sorting, which works as intended… For the second page, I had tried to duplicate this same grouping and sorting… When I click away to the previous page, or when I publish the interface however, the sorting is preserved but not the grouping… How can I fix this issue so the interface preserves this grouping when after publishing?Thank you in advance!

Is there a way in interface designer to make a GRID VIEW that is GROUPED have certain fields that are auto collapsed? USE CASE: I have all my tasks grouped by Complete vs Incomplete, Then by “responsible party”. every time I open my project, I see ALL TASKS. I want to have access to quickly view what is completed which is why I don’t filter it out altogether. But I want it to show up with the completed tasks group being collapsed as a default.

I have an Invoice table. My automation setup is, when a record gets created, I run a script which calls an api (that api updates an Attachment field in the Invoice table) and then at last there is a Send Email action.For some reason, the send email action does not send any attachments. Although I could see the files are added successfully by the api. Here I add attachment field from the trigger response.I think, Send Email step is referring to the older values,  present during the start of the automation. Now what works is, if I add an Update Record step in between Run Script and Send Email, and update some random field and then in Send Email refer the attachment field from Update Record action.Just wanted to know if this is the expected behavior or not
