Hellowe are a marketing agency and use records as ‘tasks’ which have time against them so that our team can resource themselves each week and we use the timeline view to check their % capacity and utilisation each day/week/month. some people have a handful of tasks (1 per customer) assigned to them each month, with a number of hours to spend on the customer, but how they actually end up spending their time is a little bit each week. the challenge we have is if you pick a start date and end date as start and end of the month for this task is spreads it too thin and doesn’t allow the guys to setup their days in a more granular fashion.I guess we could break down and have tasks each week but then that’s extra admin, more chances of things breaking, not distributing the tasks evenly on some months with 4 weeks vs 5 and so on. just wondering if I’m missing a trick before deciding how best to proceed in an efficient way 

Trying to create a automation. I want to have it when a occurrence is created, it will get a count, with date, and filter by user. And if criteria is met, it will send a email? Prefer not script has i dont have team right now

Hi all, we had developed a nice data base application, but sometime users have limited access to internet, I’m trying to work around this challenge, so one of the Ideas are: Question:Can the final users in the field download the Airtable application on their Tablets and work on the database offline since there is poor or no connectivity at the sites. Then, when they are back in the office can they sync it to the main cloud-based database Ideas: Download the portion of the DB into CSV to the local PC, then updates offline and then upload it back to the DB, however and afraid the users enter wrong information or get confused by the layout.  Install or add an extension to the DB but I don’t know which could be to let the users work offline. I will appreciate your ideas and thoughts …

I am trying to create a automation when record is updated. and column is delete reason is filled out, I want it to update 3 fields... Active to unchecked, remove by date to current and removed_by to user to logged in user... but it fails. Could you help?  

Hi all,  Sadly, when tagging @yourself, you do not get an email notification from Airtable. I was hoping to solve this with an automation. However, I am struggling to set up a trigger that can detect a comment, and further detect a comment where the user tags themselves. Does anyone have any experience with setting up email notifications when a user tags themselves? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi Airtable Community,I have an interesting problem I did not forsee when we made a base to track equipment we rent to other contractors from time to time. We have a job (record) where we linked in individual records for different kinds of equipment and now that it has been returned, we need to be able to track and validate it is here. I have the individual records that were added inside an individual cell and it went in how we did it - meaning in no numerical order (we just grabbed a piece of equipment off the shelf, scanned it into the customers record and repeated. The issue with that is the individual records didnt go in in any discernable order. They each have a number, but I can't seem to sort by the record by that number. This creates an issue becuase in order to check the items back in (or rather validate that they made it back here) we have to visually scan through every item in the record looking for the right number. Hello everyone! We build some Scripts with the Airtable Scripting extension and we’d like to trigger them externally via Make.com / API.Is there any way to achieve this?  Airtable Automations are not an option because we are at the 50 Automation limits already (why would you make this limit so low??) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users.For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original.Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users.Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.

HelloApologies if this has been asked before but I can’t find a solution that works. I have a base where all times should be for UK/London (it is scheduling of spaces in a building), wherever in the world I am I want any date or time entered to be UK time. Thankfully Airtable have now fixed this in the normal UI, but I am struggling to find a way of achieving this for dates entered via a script in a script block (not an automation) - I have an input.text field and can parse the date and time, but currently that time will always be based on the time zone of my browser, not the base. Does anyone know of a good bit of code to sort this out - I wonder if I should use offset. but I worry this would not work for DST?

Hi all, I am new to Airtable and would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Here is my use case:I manage freezer inventory for a small family business. They bring it food items, vacuum seal them and place them in freezers. The issue is, no one can remember what or how many of any specific item is in the freezers.I would love to be able to create an item tracking system for them in Airtable. For entry, I would like a form that they simply enter an item description. Once submitted, an item number pops up that can be written on the item. (Ideally, if there was a way for it to print a barcode on a computer attached Brother PTouch label  maker, that would be incredible). But either way, after an item is entered, it provides an item number, checks the item in as “in freezer” and adds a date. For removal, I want it to be extremely simple. Hi all,I see that publicly shared interface show record detail pages as sidesheets but not at full width or full screen (even when set to show as full width). Upon closer inspection it looks like airtable have it hardcoded in this class as a style, which is within the overall element, and not at the main embed level so the width for the record details when expanded is always 680px no matter what. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a workaround?  I also see record link button in the embeds on our website although it is not shown in the interface or in the preview, is there any way through which we can hide

Hi,Is it possible to somehow filter users away from interface dropdowns relying on a "User" field?We currently see both admin users, Airtable support users and some user's older user names in the dropdowns, which confuses people who should choose e.g. next handler for a topic.Rgds,BjörnPS. Hello, Airtable friends! I have a table that has several file attachment columns and many rows. One of my workflows is go through the table and download all attachments for certain rows. It’s been a bit time-consuming to go download the files one by one, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to automate it.Does anyone know of an extension that lets you download all files attached to a given record? (My team and I are flexible on whether that’s a ZIP file, multiple downloads, etc.)  If not, does it seem feasible to write a custom block for that? Would greatly appreciate any perspectives on this!

I have a publicly hosted logo with a URL that I’m adding to my automated email using <img src=” “>. When I generate a preview, it seems to be working correctly: However, once I actually send the email, the logo doesn't populate and just shows the image icon: Can someone help and tell me how to fix this?

I have a digital asset management database with multiply artists. I would like to share only one artist’s assets with other people so they can edit on it, and the edit would sync back to my database too. I’m in Team plan currently.The solution I came up with is to create a View with only the data that I would like to share. Then create a 2-way sync and edit to a new base and share the collaborator permission of the new base. But that would require me to update go Business plan.I’m wondering if there’s a workaround with the Team plan?Thanks.

This is probably very basic for some of you but I’m new to this … I can’t figure it out. I have an automation that sends me an email of today’s tasks every day 7am. But if there are no tasks, I still get the email, but its an error, as below. Subject: Something went wrong with an automation: Send a daily digest - Airtable Any way to NOT send email if the task list is empty? I have tried conditional actions, (but the only conditions allowed relate back to the trigger - which is time based). Thanks

Currently, our AirTable automations — configured to react to triggers in specific table fields — are experiencing severe slowness and, in some cases, complete freezing. As a temporary workaround, we have had to manually disable and re-enable the automations.This performance issue is directly affecting users, who now have to carry out their tasks sequentially, one at a time, to prevent multiple automations from being triggered simultaneously. Hello! I’m setting up a community coworking space and would like to have a simple tap in/tap out system so we can log who’s visiting the space, how long folks are staying, and how the space is being used. My idea is to use NFC tags with unique webhook payload information stuck on cards that when tapped on a reader near the entrance, a webhook is fired into Airtable with the unique information about that tag. Within airtable we’d then set it to log the taps and workout if someone is ‘in’ or ‘out’ (with the ability to override of course). My questions:Does this seem like the best approach or would anyone suggest a different way to go about it? I’ve searched the forums and aside from some discussion around RFID I haven’t seen anyone talk about setting things up this way. I’m wondering if its possible to create a file, encode it and then add it as an attachment. Since the attachment field needs a url the only way for me to do this would be to make an api call from within the script to store the file in an AWS s3 bucket, return that url and then attach. This seems like a huge work around. For now I can just use the raw text field in the text field, if the large text file fits, but for formated xlx files for example this won’t work. Seems like a long workaround just to output a file, is there another way to do this?
