What I want to do, and do not know if it is possible, is when I check a box and I would like a field in that record to change to a different option. So like in the photo below, when I check “Done” I want the choice in the Status column of the record to change to “Done” From its current selection. Is that possible? I’ve been wracking my brain trying to create an automation. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hey! So, I need to update an existing record, filling an attachment when a form is submitted. The idea is send a form where the employee need to fill a process number field (it can’t be a list) and attach a pdf or image. When this form is submitted, the automation verify the process number field value, find the same record in a existing table and attach the pdf/image. I’m trying this for a while, but no success… Is this possible? Thanks!!

Hello! Trying to get an automation going where if the text output of a field (i.e Prop1Text) from a formula field (Prop1) that is parsing the input (Property) matches the text in a different view, the “status” field is updated to my desired option. I had an issue with my first test because when the request for multiple properties came in, the “prop” field had all of them in a single string and that failed the previous automation find record if “Property” in master list is “Prop” Text then update. I’m trying to create an automatization that runs a script to copy a field (formula that puts year and month together like this 2021-12) to a liked to field whenever a record is created ou updated. So I created a base, with a bunch of tables. The first Table is sort of a summary table of the other tables. My use case: Let’s say I change the status of the item in my General Manager Table from Define to Communicate: I want to update the corresponding field in the Status column to the same value: These selections are drop down selections. So I setup an automation that when a record is created in General Manager table, that it will update the corresponding object (sorry, I’m none-technical, and don’t know the proper terminology) in the Status table:

Hello, I have a table where every record has a time field. I would like to check a checkbox when the time is today at the specified time. Using automations I managed to check the box when the date is today but the time is not considered. Is it possible to check the box at the exact time? For example, I have a record that says 12/11/2021 1:00pm. The checkbox should be checked only after 1pm and not at any time of the day. Thanks

I’m having issues with an automation. There are two collaborators. Their client’s submit forms every week. They would like to get an email when the forms are submitted. They only want to get notified of the forms they are assigned to as a collaborator. This is where I’m running into problems. What I’ve tried: I’ve tried setting up one automation that’s triggered when a form is submitted and inserting data from the previous action to get the email from the collaborator in the “to” field. It doesn’t pull their email. I get an error saying “the to field is empty”. Then I tried creating a different automation for each collaborator that would trigger when a form is submitted. I used the “find record” action and added a condition to filter the collaborator. This time I typed out the email in the to field. However, when

Hello! I have two tables: “Projects” and “Tasks”. I’m wanting to create an automation to do the following: Trigger: When a record is created in “Projects” table Action: Create value {Record Name} in X field in “Tasks” table Basically, the name of the record in the project table should update a field in the Tasks table. I would like the automation to create a new field value within a dropdown field and the value name should be taken from the trigger record name (i.e. the project name). From what I could see, the only way to achieve this is to have the action be to update a field within an existing record, so I created a dummy record. Hello to all, I have a table with products and their price, and I want to indicate automatically a price range using the symbol “$”; “$$” or “$$$”. I am trying to run an automation to update the record “Price Range” record when the condition “Price ($US/m) < 5$”, meaning I want to display “$” in the field Price range when the price is under $5. So here is what I did but when I launch the test only one record is found and so it only updates one record. Hi guys! I’m trying to set up an automation where I could send an email to a requestor once the project matched certain conditions. For a requestor field, we’re using a collaborator option, and now whenever I’m trying to send an email to a collaborator I’m getting a message of “invalid email address” . Is that something airtable is working currently on? Or is there an alternative way to generate an email address for a collaborator? The Formula for instance etc. Thanks!

Hi all, I have base a certain table with fields “Production method” and “number” as per attachment. (The numbers are imported testdata) The goal/ each production type should get an (auto) number. each production should get the highest number available +1in the field from a certain range. eg. "production-type 1 should get the highest number + 1 available from field "Number. The highest number available must lie in range 30000 to 40000 eg. "production-type 2 should get the highest number + 1 available from field "Number. The highest number available must lie in range 20000 to 30000 When a production method changes value, a new number must be calculated in another specific range. Business wise this should not occur, but might be needed to catch user mistakes I was planning on doing this via Automations. “

I have a script that makes a request to a GIS API and fetches the response. When the script is in an app, it works at expected. As an automation, it does not work. The fetch returns a response with 403 status. Hey Airtable Friends! I have a problem I can’t solve, but I feel like it has to be doable. I would love some help! Situation: We’re a mortgage company and we keep a database of our Loan Officers and what states they’re licensed in. Those licenses need to be kept up by the employee, so they come and go very often. Each state their own license syntax, so in Airtable, we have 50 text fields, for the 50 states and when a license gets added or removed, someone goes in and types in the license number for the Loan Officer in the corresponding state field, or deletes it from the state field (if it’s removed). Problem: We very often need to see who all we currently have licensed in X state. But it’s very annoying to sideways scroll through 50 fields - So, how we currently do it is someone adds or removes a license, then they scroll over to a multiple select field and add the state from a drop down. That way we can go to ‘John Smith’ and see

We’re trying to create an automation in Airtable that sends an email from Gmail. Is there a way to hyperlink text with a URL that’s generated by a formula field? Basically each email that sends out will contain a unique URL that’s hyperlinked.

Can I embed the grid link in an html email to show the grid? What I’m looking for is an iframe or something similar that works with most email clients. background: I’m currently sending emails including a grid via the Airtable automation. As of now, automation triggers are limited to one table. Is it possible we could have multiple table sources, doing the same automation, and the outputs are in one or multiple tables as well? For example: generating an assistant ID We have different sources of assistants per table. And we have a table that is a masterlist of all the assistant IDs. Instead of having to automate separately for different tables doing the same thing, is there a way that multiple tables can be chosen (or specific views per table) and theyd all flow into the masterlist table that we have? I have a column with single select option. Based on the option selected in Single select, I need a particular formula to be used to make calculations in the next column. There are around 10 options in the single select and 10 formulae corresponding to each option. Is there a way in Airtable (using Integromat) to achieve this?

I am trying to create an automation that would add a collaborator when adding a record to the airtable. So each record has a Program Specialist, that is part of a list linked to another table. I want a field where that same program specialist name is also linked to a collaborator for this row. Can automation help this become well automatic? Drew

I want to create an automation that emails a report to the managers on their employee’s individual progress at completing their monthly certifications. In my table, I have the names of the clients, the due dates, a drop-down for marking complete, the name of the employee, and the manager linked as a collaborator. One issue I keep running into is that the automation for sending an email to the manager doesn’t work. Even though I set the value to email. However, the next steps is to make a report that would show all the names of the clients and the individual status of their certifications. This way managers will see the progress of their employees.

I have a view that contains records filtered just by the coming week. Is there a way, maybe with scripting, to automatically advance the dates in the filter by 7 days, so each week the filter automatically updates with the current week’s records? Thank you!

I would like to be able to post to LinkedIn from Airtable using the automations but only when the record is ‘ready to post’ and at a specific date and time that it has been scheduled. Can anyone provide some guidance in the best possible way to do this?

After inadvertently triggering an automation several times recently, I started thinking - it would be great to have a confirmation dialog option where a dialog box could pop up with “Are you sure you want to…?” first, before the automation actually happens (in my case, sending out an email). Alternatively (or in addition to), it would be great to have an option to limit triggering the automation to only once per record, even if the conditions in the record change. Would anyone else use these features?
