Hello I have a a process automation that when a lead is converted to a customer (single select field), airtable automation create a new record in a client tab and a list of tasks to do accordingly. I have 2 types of tasks, 1 for product 1 and 1 for product 2. Everything works perflecty … however, when i selected 2 products for one customer I have a duplicate customer fields … I checked with the delete duplicate script, but i want it to be automatic. I attached screenshot, so maybe you can help … many thanks in advance ! Maybe there is some workaround with the automation set up. Is there anyway i can update when the client is existing, instead of creating a new line ? thanks !

Hello! I have an automation set up to send emails and I received the message below. Does anyone know why? I thought we could send up to 100 emails a day.

I am trying to figure out an issue where attachments in my Airtable records are being deleted - allegedly by me according to the record history - when I am doing nothing of the sort. I am using Integromat to create an Airtable record from incoming emails - the script includes populating an Attachments field in Airtable with certain email attachments. I then have a native Airtable automation that classifies these incoming email message records based on their content and updates a Message_type field That all works just fine, however in many, but strangely not all cases, the attachment then mysteriously gets deleted… Here’s the record history pane from one of these records (I’ve obscured the data fields) The Activity history shows the initial creation of the record via API, including an attachment, from Integromat, then the classification step using my Airtable script - in this case is a ‘no match’. I am trying to set up an automation such that the following are true: Record A has a field with Step 1 in it (single select). I want the automation to auto-create (based on conditions I’ve defined) a new record that carries over similar information but changes that single select field to Step 2. Is there a way to do this?

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me out here. I am tracking some data which is time-sensitive and set up a trigger following Airtable’s recommended steps but I would like to customize it further by having the reminders triggered within 30 days before the due date. For example - if the item is due on 1 May, I would like the reminder to be triggered in April. How could I modify the formula? For reference, this is the existing formula as recommended by Airtable: IF( AND( {Due Date}, NOW() >= {Due Date} ), “Trigger Reminder” ) Thank you! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So we’re managing our project management status on Airtable and we have ‘project management stage’ field(single selection) in the master view. I’ve set up an automation based on this field, using ‘when a record matched conditions’ as a trigger. It worked well, when the ‘project management stage’ field started to meet the condition that I set up. HOWEVER, what’s really frustrating is that the automation keeps getting triggered even though there is no change/update on the data field that I set up as the automation trigger. I checked all the change history of the record, but no change has been made to the field. Why is it happening? Why is it so buggy? This is extremely frustrating especially when we try to use this feature for external-facing purpose. I’ve been an advocate for using Airtable in our team, but I keep losing trust in Airtable whenever I see this kind of sloppy bugs and malfunctions. Hi all! I have a table that will have a check box field , which when checked will create a new record in the table (can do this easily). I want that record to be a duplicate of the original. I have 4 steps I would like to happen automatically if possible, but I have not found a way to do these: Is there a way to duplicate the record whole without having to add all the fields (there are a lot) to the action? I then want one field in the created record to have a value auto-populate from a different field in the original? I want to link the two records in a Link field that is present in each record. I want to check a box in a field of the original record to indicate a status change. Any and all assistance is much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hello Community, I am having an issue with an automation and would love some guidance. The automation is intended as follows (w/ pics below). Trigger: When Production Status field IS “Scheduled” AND Review Status field IS “Approved” AND Publish Date field (actually called Archived Publish Date in my table) IS “before today” Action: Update records’ Production Status to “Live” I can see that the tests are working, and the automation triggers when I add a new record meeting the above conditions, but when I run the automation, nothing changes to my existing records meeting those conditions. I was really hoping that it would update all pre-existing “Scheduled” records to “Live” to save time on data entry.

I have two tables set up. One lists a host of project related risks (Table A), the other is a database of risk summaries (Table B) Table A has a formula field which calculates a risk number (integer output) based on some user inputs in that table. There is a column next to this which I would like to output a Text response based on the calculated risk number. This text response is stored in a column in Table B. The link between the two tables is the Risk Number. Table B is a database of all the risk numbers and their associated data points (i.e. explanations, text outputs etc.). Each row in Table A will have a changing risk number as the project develops and as such, will need to “pull in” a text response stored in Table B each time. I can’t work out how to pull the text from another table based on a calculated value in the other. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!!

I’m trying to create an automation that updates a record in one table based on a trigger in a different table (same base). The trigger table row contains the key to find the record in the action table. So I use the ‘find records’ automation action. Problem is, I cannot specify my key. I’ve selected the ‘Dynamic’ option as shown in screen print, which gives me the blue cross so I can inspect and select items from my trigger record. But when I click through to the column with my key I don’t have the option to ‘insert’ the value. Instead I can ‘continue’ to the columns properties and can ultimately insert the length property, but not the value itself. The column is a formula. Am I missing something here?

I created a new automation: Trigger - when a record is updated Action - create a record in another table I have selected the table and field to create the record. Unfortunately this is not working. Do I need to choose a record to link for it to work?

I am having difficulties with update action of automation. it keep failing the test and I do not understand why.

Let’s say I have a list of 10 vendors in a grid. One column contains email addresses. Another column contains a mark if I want to send that vendor an email. Now let’s say I’ve marked that column for six vendors. Can I create an action that will email those six vendors using the email addresses in the column?

Hello! We have a team of about 25 and we sell retreat weekends. Each team member sends us their available weekends and we work with clients to find the right match. We need a way to track what weekends we have available and where. We might search weekends by team member or we might search by the state they are located in. The sales process can be long and so we would like to be able to mark a weekend as tentatively booked, booked, or available. Right now we are manually writing dates in like a text field but that keeps us from using the calendar view or running the kinds of reports we want. Any apps that you can think of or integrations to help us track this? Please note that clients are not self-booking, we only need a back end solution for this.

Hello! I’m trying to achieve the same effect as this post but running into problems actually inserting the string value of a linked record’s recordID as a dynamic automation value. Automation Assistance - Linked Records Scripting app If there is only one linked record, an update action can get the id of that linked record without resorting to scripting. In the “Update record” action, select [Table B] as the table containing the record. Then for the record Id, select the triggering record, then the linked record field. This method will only work if there is only one linked record. If there are multiple linked records, you will have to resort to scripting or use another method of deciding which record to update. I’ve followed the directions from this post. I converted the array of linked records to a string for use in the automation. However, the automation interface does not present me with an “Insert” button for this string value, only a “continue” butt

I’ve created an automation that splits a record from one table into several other records by their steps and displays them on a new table. It then links them via dependencies so that they are optimized for the Gantt display. The automation will only work for one category at a time even though there is nothing in the automation specifying category, as this is social media it will only work to create dependencies for the records in Pinterest OR TikTok and it makes it very difficult to switch between them but I don’t understand why it’s doing this or how it even knows that the records are of different categories since it’s not a part of the automation. Additionally, it will let me automate dependencies for anything with a start and end date but if Airtable could make it so that I could also add a dependency for the final publication date as a milestone so that I don’t have to go through and do them all by hand that would be immensely helpful.

My Facebook automation stopped working two weeks ago and Airtable Support can’t recreate the issue. The initial test worked fine so I created a regular post. It published at the proper time but also posted one that was scheduled January 2021. Now I get this message: “The permissions for Airtable to use the configured Facebook Pages account have been revoked in the external service. Please re-create the external account and reconfigure this step to use the replacement external account.” I created a new automation and have the same results. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hello community, i have an automation that sends a gmail email to a contact when i upload an attachment to a record (invoice), the problem being that last time i did upload an attachment to a record two exact same mails have been sent to my contact. is there a way to get the text from a formula or linked field in an automation? When I try to add them as a dynamic record property I just get the length result not the text. thanks in advance

Hello, I set up an automation rule to get a message sent to slack every time a certain record is updated. I use the CSV import app to update this same record weekly and the slack message doesn’t seem to be triggered when the record is updated through the CSV import app. However, it works when I update it manually. Anybody faced this before and knows how to fix it? In the screenshot: the record has been updated properly but the message was not triggered. Thanks

Hello, I am building a service that lets users hire experts to answer industry-specific questions. And this is how the workflow would look like: I have two tables called User and Expert. User fills in an Airtable form that asks the following questions: Name (Single Line Text) Question (Long Text) Industry/Topic (Multiple Select) Location (Multiple Select) Airtable automation finds an expert meeting the criteria by matching the Industry/Topic column along with the Location column and sends them an email requesting them to answer the question. Here is the problem I am facing, How do I devise the automation in such a way that it matches the right expert with the user based on the Industry and Location? Currently, the problem I am facing is that I am unable to match using multiple topics from a single multiple select field. For example, User question: How does Bitcoin work? I have a base, and I’m not sure if I’ve designed it in the right way, but I’ve made a table for all the purchases, and I have another table for the customers, so I thought it would be easy to link them … but I don’t really know what I’m doing. I created a linked field type … but maybe it should be a formula … ? Anyone have any insights on this for me? I’ve also played around with the ‘count’ field type … but I don’t know how to make the email a variable. Is that what I would need to do?
