Hello, My company procurement system runs on excel workbooks. One of the tedious tasks is generating a new PO req and filling out the vendor information. I have created a table of approved vendors in Airtable. I would like to add an Airtable button, which when clicked would trigger an automation / integration to populate the excel workbook with the information contained in the vendor record. Can a button be used in that way? Are there any suggestions for the integrations to populate excel? Thanks!

Hey everyone, We use quite a lot of automations, and sometimes it happens that someone can trigger a large number of automations by mistake. I really want to know if there is a way to stop that from happening. Eg. if thousands of automations are triggered together they just stop from triggering altogether till someone approves. Alternatively, only allow a given number of automations to run every hour and get a notification in case such a bursting event happens.

I am trying to create a client portal for my clients so they can see a list of items assigned to them and be able to check off the items they approve of. Is there better way to do this than using Stacker?

Desired outcome: When someone enters our blood donation center (no appointment needed) the front desk looks them up in the donors table and changes their “last visiting date” to today. I want to add a record that shows their new visit and insert the changed date into a date field in a (growing) “visits” table. I created a simple automation: When record is updated in “donors” table, create new record in “visits” table. Date Field to watch: “visit date” (this is the last date a visitor arrived) Action: Create new record in different table and add “visit date” into date field. Weird/unexpected behavior: the date added is 1 day earlier than the chosen date.

Hey there. Im currently trying to figure out how to Link up an automation through Zapier so that i just have to change the status of one item and then it would change whatever is linked to it. Lets say im creating a quiz base with this following tables: Quiz, Questions, Answers. Each should have a line called Status/State so that i can have a view for sending this to my CMS in webflow. I just cant figure out how to link all this up so i dont have to change the status of each linked item. Do anyone have an idea of how to do this?

I have a base with thousands of records. I have a simple formula to populate a new field in those records by concatenating some already existing data. I cannot control or change what those source data are. I need to check if the new values in the new field are unique, and tag any records where that value is not unique so I can apply a secondary process to manage duplicates if and when they arise. I need to apply this process to my thousands of existing records, plus also apply it to every new record written to the table, so I can tag any duplicates and then run my secondary process to manage those duplicates. What’s the best way to achieve the uniqueness check and tag any duplicates?

Hey guys, I have a database with tables A - Products B - Vendors C - Requests from clients. B is linked to A C is linked to A I want to give clients option to send request about specific product. An introduction to the vendor. I have a form for clients to post request about specific product in A and that goes to my table C. In that form, I have automatic pre-fill of the form with selected product from A. So inside table C data about clients - email / message / which product they asked for. I want to sent and auto email to the client and the vendor of the product. I have used automation to send email when new record gets created in table C and it work good. But I don’t know how to automatically get email to my table C if a new request is created. So in table C I have linked records from A - a product name. Can I automatically import vendor email based on that? I could put the vendor email into A table but don’t kn

Hi! This is the problem that we have. We automated an email for people entering a certain locked view so as to only email a certain category of people registering. Unfortunately, someone from our team changed the view and the email was massively sent to a loooot of different people with filters we don’t know. Here’s my question : is there a way to export the email adresses that were affected by this automation ? Other than going to the “run” history & selecting it one by one (7k+ email adresses…)

This is a very random and probably a stupid question but thought I’d ask anyway. I’ve run a few step challenges through Airtable as a small personal project, which have been awesome, and I want to build on it further. If pos. I’d like to plot a start point (i.e. Leeds, UK) and as steps are logged, see if I can plot our distance covered around the world automatically. For info, I have a Zapier account and absolutely no dev experience, so no-code tools are my only option.

Is it possible to use IF statements in automations? i.e. If there’s more than 1 item in a view, email the following…

i have 3 tables. Table 1: Expenses(fields: Date, Details, Invoice PDF, Amount, Category) Table 2: Income(fields: Date, Details, Amount) Table 3: Total(fields: Date, Details, Expense, Income, Total) What i need is: when i’m making a new entry on Table 1, fields Date, Details, Expense from Table 3 to auto-filled on a new entry. If i change something on that entry on table 1 (on that row) to be changed as well on Table 3. when i’m making a new entry on Table 2, fields Date, Details, Income from Table 3 to auto-filled on a new entry. If i change something on that entry on table 2 (on that row) to be changed as well on Table 3. and in the midtime in every row on field Total the expenses/income to adding/subtract accordingly. Its possible to be done with automations?

I am currently using Jotform and On2Air forms with Zapier to send form submissions to Airtable. Is it possible to send multiple attachments, such as PDFs, JPEGs, etc to Airtable via Zapier. If so, how? I have only been able to send over 1 URL link.

Hi there, I currently use Airtable to automatically notify me at various dates along a user’s timeline: IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{4w}, "days")>-1, IF({4w Email?},"✅", "❗")) The Slack notifications always seem to generate at ~5pm PST – the end of my work day. I’d much rather have them generate in the morning. Is this because Airtable’s date calculations work on GMT/UST? Is there any way to change when this calculation occurs? I understand the easier solution is to just make it trigger a day earlier - and I’m happy to do that - but the bothersome thing is getting multiple pings at the end of my work day when they’re liable to get ignored / forgotten.

Hi all, I currently use Airtable to do a series of date checks. I have about 15 of these per record, for various points along a user’s timeline: IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{5d}, "days")>-1, IF({5d Email?},"✅", "❗")) I’m looking to be able to create a Kanban view where I can see any record that has a❗ - indicating an outreach is needed - but this requires a single-status field in order to make this work. If I want to create a single-status field that automatically changes to “needs outreach” whenever there is a❗ emoji in any field in the record, is that something that’s possible to check easily? Is there another, more elegant solution I am missing? Or am I out of luck?

I received this error when running the test on my action portion of the automation: “Creating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.” I am the Creator of the base and on the Pro plan. What would be the problem incurred with this?

Is there a way to increase the number of allowed automations per workbase? We’re on the pro plan for now. That’s the only thing we need.

Hello, I am new to Airtable and I have been trying to automate a weekly email. My issue is that in the text of the email I want to automate the fields that will be weekly updated. However, whenever I check the “all fields” method, it does not include all of the fields. I tried doing it manually and just by selecting the “all fields” but nothing seems to work. Would someone be open to help? Thank you

setting up an invoicing system for an air B&B, individual rooms are rented for varying days at my house. I want to be able to click the + on my calendar view and add a single day to be billed for. I have a ‘line item’ system set up that works great other than this issue. my problem is that unless i make the event TWO days my quantity field with the formula: DATETIME_DIFF({End Date}, {Start Date}, ‘days’) displays as 0, therefore charging nothing. how can i make one day = 1?

Issue: I have an automation I want to run one at a time on newly imported Contact records that are imported (multiple at a time) via copy and paste. This automation works when if I trigger it with one new record (I’m just duplicating an existing record to check), but fails if I paste in 4 new records (copy and paste). Here’s the setup: I have an Organization Table that has a URL website field and a Contacts table with an Email field. I have formula fields on both tables that extract the email domain @company.com from the Email (Contacts Table) and the probable email/website domain from the website (Organization field). I have an automation that triggers when a new contact record matches conditions — basically when it’s created today, the Contact email line isn’t empty and the single select Import Tag field is not empty (to discern between importing contact records and existing ones). I have created a form, and am setting up an automation so that when someone submits the form (creates a record), my coworker receives an email notification with all the submitted fields. When inserting as “Render as HTML List,” I am unable to edit the order of the list. This results in the email my coworker receives looking confusing and out of order. I would like it to match the order in the form view, or the order of my fields/columns in a grid view. Can this be fixed, while maintaining the HTML list style? (It seems that the list is stuck as the order in which the fields were created… )

Hi, I have a table with products and there is a column that has the category of each product, I would like to have another table but only with the categories that are in the first. Is there a way to do it? Like extract the existent categories from a table? Thanks
