Hey there – I’m trying to set up an automation that does the following: Iterate through the rows in an Airtable view For each row, post a Slack message to a different Slack channel using text from that row. The name of the Slack channel is a field in the view. Ideally, this workflow would be triggered at a set time every week (eg. Mondays at 9am). For context, each row contains information about a specific customer account and I’m hoping to share that information in the associated Slack channel. Wondering what the best approach for this is? Is there some combination of automations/scripts that you’d recommend to get this set up? From what I’ve been able to figure out so far, I would have to set up separate automations individually for each row/channel.

I have created an weekly triggered automation I want to call the Airtable Form Designer App, that i have installed on dashboard. This App is configured to create a well formatted document using a filtered table view. I am aware that i could create an email action in my automation, however the email options are Grid or List which is not formatted. Please advise thanks

I am currently trying to create an automation email sequence - every time a record changes to a particular single select option, an email is automatically sent. Most fields I want to use work, however I cannot get attachment to work or look up fields that I have in there. I’ve tried changing the information, refreshing, and changing the file type for the attachment. However, it just shows up blank in the tests.

Hello, sometimes airtable automations return bad input variables after changing record input value. I changed DESIGN_STATUS to Needs fixing, and Customer_status field changed to Waiting via automation. But my code says that when status become Needs fixing, it need to do other thing. Its happens very rarely. This is my code problem or air table ? What I need to do ? Hi folks, I have two tables and am trying to automatically link them with a script. In this example people apply via an airtable form with a text based “parter code” field. There is a partners table where each partner has a multiple select field that contains all of their partner codes. Hello Everyone, I schedule content releases for our media vendors through our Website, We change the release date a lot according to delivery factors, like Dubbing/ Subing / Pandemic delivery circumstances. Our Marketing team needs to see any updates happens if any changes happened in the release date, but also needs to see the old value of the release date, so they need to trigger an email once a release date has been changed, also include the old release date inside the same email. Is there a way I can automate a copy of each older release date to the field ( Old Release Date ) let’s say my initial release date is 16/05/2021, Old release date is empty or the same as the release date The new release date is: 18/5/2021 old release date is: 16/05/2021 again, a newer release date is 20/05/2021 old release date is: 18/05/2021, and so on.

Reaching out to this amazing community again… I have read/watched the help topics on this, and I can not get it to work. I want to send an email when the “category” of a horse changes from Vet Hold to Under Evaluation - most importantly, I need to include the name of the horse. For some reason, no matter what horse I move from Vet Hold to Under Evaluation, the system populates the email with the same horse “Hawkeye” every time. Hi there – not new to Airtable, but new to scripting. I’d like to add a new row to a table (table:“Daily”) and set the primary field (column:“Date”) with tomorrow’s date, and run it every day. Simple, right? I suspect the best way to do this is set up a scheduled automation to, say, run each day at 7am, that creates a new row with tomorrow’s date. This would require declaring today’s date and tomorrow’s date in the correct format, either in the script or as an input config. I’ve poured through the documentation and these boards to find a simple way to do this, but am coming up short and appealing for the first time to the pros here for a little assistance. I’ve also tried to set this up as a simpler scheduled automation using the “Create record” action, but you can’t use a formula to declare the field value, either in the automation or as a computed field (e.g. declaring “Tomorrow” as a computed field in the row) Any advice on how to go about this seemingly simple task

Can I ask. I am using automation sendmail via Airtable. In my email content, I have Underscore _ (Ex: http://abc.com/ab_cd) But when I sent mail, Underscore is NOT display in my email content. Can you teach me to fix?

Hello everyone, About one week ago, we started seeing more and more of this “Script exceeded max CPU time” error. I looked at the code and don’t see “major performance flaws”. (but I am not an expert with JS and I might be doing something wrong without noticing) I looked at @Bill.French race condition suggestion but cannot see one here. Hello, I was lurking around the forum but cannot seem to find a solution similar to what I am trying to do. Basically I would like to create a calendar, which people could go into weekly and update their working times. I would like the dates for each day of the week to update automatically with real time dates. So for example, I could go inside and enter that Monday to Friday I am working 9-5, then from the next week these days will be updates to the current weeks dates so it will still show that I am working 9-5 with the new week, and so on. As a simple automation to avoid creating new entries for each working week and inserting the working times.

Everything was working fine since yesterday. Now all my automations which send an email keep failing, it says the “To” field is empty while its not. Also my Zapier to Mailchimp is failing as Mailchimp cant recognise the email adres. Have contacted Support but no reply yet. The To field is filled in through a form. I have double checked the email adreses and they are valid. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Screenshots attached:

Hi there, On a fairly large table, after I fill out some hand entered data, I’ll need to duplicate each row 3 to 4 times. This becomes tedious after the 20th copy and invites human error. Is there a way to select a bulk of rows and have them all copied as many time as requested?

I am attempting to have an automation that every Monday morning will look in a table for specific records and then broadcast that into Slack. I got the trigger and record searches to work, but when I attempt to place them in the message, all I get are options for HTML formatted results which just look like a mess in Slack. Is there a way to just insert the results and I’m just missing it?

Can someone PLEASE help me figure out why this automation isn’t happening? I’m about ready to stop using Airtable and switch platforms if I can’t. I keep trying to update so the Trigger is that whenever something appears in the table and the Action is just for associated info to update. The Trigger is always testing fine and works. The second I put in that I want a record to be updated EVERY TIME IT SAYS THE FIELD IS BLANK WHEN IT ISN’T. I put in the correct Table, I have the record attached: those both seem to be fine. I put in the field name, which in my case is “Class Listed” and it has a multiple select attached. Each time I add it and run the test with the added information it says it failed. I do the same thing with “Create New Record” and it seems to work. What am I doing wrong? PLEASE? I’ve tried contacting Customer Service and literally nobody has gotten back to me and a week and it’s affecting the business this is for.

Hi! I’ve been loosing my mind over the past days trying to find a way to either solve this automation or find an alternative even if it requires a manual check. However it got to the point where I am willing to pay for much needed dedicated help. Here’s the situation: Scenario I have 2 Bases. The first one is a very simple setup on a free plan where collaborators drop basic input: Airtable - Registro de Producciones (that’s it, nothing fancy here). Hello all! I’ve set up automation to act as a support desk. I’ve got a form on our firm’s internal square space site, from there it feeds into Zapier which automatically pushes into airtable to create a record. Square Space Form > Zapier (8 automations) > Air Table Base (1 Automation per base) Based of the question subject the question gets directed through zapier and into airtable. Currently using the automation “When a record is created”. Which then sends off an email to the user who submitted the form request. After running tests, I’m receiving 8 emails, from all 8 automations in each base. Any idea why this is happening?

Hello, I have a google sheet that takes pricing information for different products and lets sellers know where they can get the best price for their inventory. I have the google sheet working, via a couple dropdown menu and a query based on the results. I wanted to layer a UI on top of the google sheets and I’m having trouble finding an app that’ll allow me to read and write responses instantly from google sheets to the UI (airtable, glide, etc.) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this. From what I can tell there’s no way to instantly read/write data back and forth from google sheets.

I’m trying to us the example script, and keep getting: airtable recordid should be a string, not undefined I am using the script as is, except I changed the table name on line 2. I followed instructions on how to configure input variables using the left panel. I added recordID field to my table, using the recordID function in formula field. When that didn’t work, I changed to a short text field, preserving the generated record ID values, but I still got this error. I’m out of ideas. I have multiple automations set up for email notifications to different parties when a record enters a view. the automations are set up correctly and run as they are supposed to when the record is initially entered. Then 3 days ago, May 1st - the automation triggered and an email was sent out for ALL the records in that view even though they were old records. Then it happened again on the 2nd and the 3rd. Then today, a different automation triggered and sent out 150 emails for old records. I really need assistance to figure out why this is happening so I can fix it. Please help!!

Hello, is there a way to change the creation date / time of a field? Automations will only render grids with fields sorted by creation date. This makes reports unreadable, and automations as weekly digests useless…

Hi all I have a table containing 10 ‘taster’ registers (URL links) - one for each week of the term. I’m trying to make the correct week’s URL copy into the ‘taster register’ field, depending on which week we’re in. I have two separate formula fields - one called ‘day of the week’ (Monday = 1, Tuesday = 2, etc), and a second called ‘current week’. To update week 2’s register, for example, the automation is dependent on two criteria - that the day of the week = 7 (Sunday), and that the current week = 1. This way, at the end of week one, the week two register links will automically copy into the ‘taster register’ field. It might make more sense to look at the base itself - its quite tricky describing it here. Basically, it isn’t working. But, if I manually change the the formula to match the conditions, it does trigger on all the records. What am I missing? Has anyone experienced something similar? Here’s a link to a redacted version:
