I have 2 linked tables, CLIENTS and APPOINTMENTS, where I link an APPOINTMENT record to a CLIENT record, and can have multiple APPOINTMENTS linked to a single CLIENT record. Is there a way to sort the linked appointments in the client record? For instance, could I pull the next upcoming appointment from that linked field and put it in a separate [Next Appointment] field? Or, could I pull all past appointments to a [Client History] field? Am I thinking about this the wrong way, completely? Thanks.

Hi there, I’m using Airtable for website orders and would like an automation where in one click two things happens: The field “Status” is changed to “Processed” for all items in that view A CSV immediately downloads all items in that view. I would appreciate the help. Many thanks! Blake
Trying to see if I can set something up as follows with automations: I schedule people into events. They may be scheduled into multiple events over the course of say a year. So I have Person A, who has a linked field to the scheduling calendar, and she is scheduled for events: X -1/1/21, Y - 2/2/21, and Z - 3-3-21. What I am trying to do is have a check in field with the options of “Checked In” or “No Show” that I could use day-of (and that would clear itself out after a day). So on 3-3-21, if Person A does not show up, I could mark their status as “No Show” and this would updated a second linked field (linked to the same tab as the entry for the event itself), called No Show, with the Z - 3-3-21 record. What I am having an issue with is being able to update only the most recent record and not having this automation assume that Person A is a no show to all three events. Is this possible? Any ideas on how I would achieve it?
Hello, everyone! I need some help with automations. Subject: there is a table with information on car insurance policies, in which, among other things, there are three columns with dates, as well as one column with the status of insurance. Three columns with dates - the dates on which you need to make contributions, i.e. make quarterly payments. The column with the status - everything is simple here: “active”, “inactive”, “will end soon” and “payment soon”. Accordingly, through automation, a certain number of days (21) before the onset of any of the three dates in the column, the status changes to “payment soon”. Then, I need to create a new record in a new table (called Insurance Tasks) through automation (only 1 new record, this is important!) In certain columns of which there would be several records (see screenshot). The problem is that when using the trigger “when the record meets the conditions” in the automation according to the insurance status condition (the trigger is trigger
Is it possible to manage an inventory within Airtable and show a beginning and ending amount on a sales order form?
Hej all, I am currently trying to automate a flow from Webflows CMS to Airtable. What I have done is to automate a zap that send the collection data to airtable every hour. But now my problem is that all data is in one cell together but I want to have single records per collection item. Can somebody help me to automate so that out of this cell single cells with one item each are created? Thanks in advance! :slightly_smiling_face:
Hello everyone ! We are facing an issue with the facebook automation made with the social media calendar template. Triggers are set up ( when “statuts” and “go live” is today with the right time) + action to post on the connected account. When we test both of them, it runs successfully but when we want to post it with the time, nothing happens. Is someone facing that issue ? Thanks in advance !
Hello I have some currency fields which I use to send Slack messages. However I can’t seem to find a way to retain the currency formatting like I see in my table (ie, £100,000 : symbol and comma markers) Can anybody recommend an easy way to achieve this? Thanks Dan
Hello all! In our line of work, we interview and hire candidates for our clients. Each record is a potential candidate. If we change the status from “interested” to “hired”, I would like the automation to request that the field “date hired” and “negociated salary” be updated. Is there a way to create an automation where if a field in a specific record changes status, it triggers an “alert” to remind the user to update another field in that same record? However, the information in that field varies, therefore I cannot use the ‘update record’ automation. Thank you for your help!!
Hello community! I am using an automation that triggers when an Airtable field is updated. The action is to update attendees field in an Outlook calendar but testing returns an error of ‘Cannot read property “timeZone” of undefined’. See image for what this looks like. Am I about to fall down the rabbit hole that is time zones in Airtable? Or am I just missing something obvious? Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

I have a table with four columns: Email address, Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3. The possible values for the “Thing” fields are “YES” and NULL (empty / no data). Is there a way to automate a periodic (say, weekly) scan of the table that looks for NULL values and generate an email to the corresponding email address on the row saying which things are NULL?
Hi Everyone, Maybe someone can shed a bit of light :flashlight: about how to do this, if possible. :speech_balloon: Actual Scenario: When a member of the team (there are 5 members) makes a question about a certain proyect (we have many at the same time, around 100) the related client receives the question automatically in its email. But in order to answer he has to go into our portal (we use miniextensions.com) log in, find the question and answer it. Which is quite a slow process. :star_struck: Desired Scensario: When a client receives a question he can directly reply the email, and his answer will be updated to the related record. Any Ideas where to start? I guess integromat would be needed for this, or webhook to trigger an airtable automation?
I have an automated email going out to notify people what day/time the Round of edits are due. The date and time look fine in my record but the email says “Please complete your edits by 2021-04-09T09:52:00.000Z”. This is not easily readable. I’ve learned about adding a formula to the table that corrects this but it’s specific to only one field. DATETIME_FORMAT({RD1 Comments Due}, ‘M/DD/YYYY \at h:mma’). That works in the body of the email when I select this formula record to get RD1 Comments Due. Now I want to have an automated email for RD2 Comments Due. Do I have to make a 2nd Time Formula for that field?
Hi, I’ve been using the “Find Records” aspect of automations and super helpful. It doesn’t seem to be well documented anywhere though, and where I am very confused is that often there will a value from a previous step that I want to use (dynamic), but it is not available, only <>length. Unhelpfully rather than being greyed out, or not visible, I always end up clicking through to find it’s not available! From what I can tell, you can not use any of the following as a dynamic variable in the Find Records automation: Formula value Linked record Roll-up Considering those make up a large percentage of my tables, it’s a little frustrating! Indeed it seems that the only values you can actually use dynamically, are ones that have been manually populated. But that means either having to actually populate those fields manually, or using an automation to print the value int he field (so it looks like it has been created manually). But that seems an awful waste of a precious automation giv
Hello all, I have an automation that is looking for a record with specific values. Sometimes it does not find the matching and it is normal (it is a use case.) I would like to know if there is a way to catch the error of the find function ? If not I was thinking of doing it with a script but I found it strange that in automatisation it is not possible to catch error or even do conditional branch. thanks for your help Alex
I have 2 tables, Customers and Requests. Requests a made with a form view with the typical customer details (Name, email, etc). I would like the send an email to new customers. The automation flow would be: Trigger: New record created in Requests Action: Check the Email column in Customers to see if there is a match. If the email from the Request is not found, send an email to the Customer to complete the new Customer form. I have tried with the inbuilt automations. Once the records is created, I can find a record, but I wan’t to run the send email step if there is 0 records returned, but the Automations only allow you to run the next action if something is found. I also tried to write a script for it. With scripting, once you implement the input variable you can no longer test the script. It also won’t let me return a boolean value. I wan’t nothing to happen if the email is found in Customers, and to only run when a new Request record is created.
A few questions if anyone could answer my queries that would be great, Can we email a link to the form of an existing data update using mini extensions automated? (By this I mean, I have a table with existing data inside it and the few columns have to be filled out by the respondent, I need to send the link of each form to different email ids, which is in the order of 60 people each with different mail id. Can I enter the mail id’s into each row and somehow make the link send to the corresponding mail?) 2.When I use miniExtensions to update the existing data, if I share my link with someone who does not have an account can he be able to enter the data and save it in the forms? Is there any way to export to Microsoft word from airtable? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Hello! Is there a way to increase the limit of automation per base or are we really limited to 25? We’re currently working on a base that needs 10 tables and each table requires to have 5 automations (for email reminders). The first table (lets call it the General Phase) triggers the automation in other tables so I’m concerned that if we are really limited to 25 per base, I would have to create another base (Base 2) so I can complete the rest of the automation per table. This will conflict with the integration that we have for General Phase. There must only be 1 General Phase table. I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance.
I created automation like this: trigger: when a record matches conditions - Has started (column name) = N action: send a slack message I tested the automation, it works. But when the automation will run?
I have an automated email set up, using Gmail, for informing someone when their video is scheduled to be published. This is trigged once the publish date date field is set. I have changed the publish date date format from ISO to friendly format, but it still publishes the scheduled date as ISO format in the automated email. Does anyone know how I generate an automatic email with the friendly date format? Thank you!
Hi, is already 4 days that I’m experiencing that my automation is reporting a fail on Facebook; I’m receiving an email from Airtable advising about that, but seems everything’s ok with my automation, also because it worked for some weeks without any problem. What’s wrong? Tks Antonio
