Hi, I’m very new to airtable so sorry if this is a redundant question but I have an existing google form with a lot of responses in it and I would like to keep using the google form but I would like responses to be uploaded into a base in airtable. I tried setting up an automation with it linked that specific spreadsheet and when I test it it seems to work great but when I input a new submission into the google form the response is showing up in the corresponding google sheets but not airtable. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to automate an email job that includes graphics from the airtable “chart” app. The goal here would be at the end of every week to give the team a visual update but without having to go in and screen shot the charts and email them manually. If this can’t be done via the Chart app but there is a way to do it, I’d happily work with that.

Hi there, is it possible to append a timestamp to all files when they upload? For example, if a user uploads a file like this: my_file.pdf then it would automatically be renamed to something like this: yyyymmddhhmmss-my_file.pdf (i.e. 20210313182406-my_file.pdf) Just to pull back and explain my rationale: using a formula field, i need to compare the upload dates of the files to the current date, related to a proof-of-residency solution i’m attempting to build. Hey to all of you, I’ve been working on a Airtable Google Sheets Integration the last view days and am struggling with the multiple select fields. What I’m trying to achieve is slotting the values of multiple Select fields of Airtable to individual cells in Google Sheets. So I have a column called “prime_1” which has 10 possible select options and I have a Google Sheets doc with columns “prime_1”,“prime_2”,…“prime_10” and depending on how many answers were selected in each row I want the first value (of the Airtable Select box) copied in “prime_1” in Google Sheets and so forth. I have already tried achieving this with Integromat and I can see that they register the Airtable column as an array however the individual selects are just meshed as one value and I can’t access them individually. I have a daily automation where I do find records, which outputs a list of records, I want to update a field (its a single select status field). But my current automation only seems to work if the find records outputs exactly one entry. If I have more than 1 entries, then the “update records” action gives me an “Received invalid input” error. I want the update function to run on EACH of the records found by the find function. But I am unclear how I’m supposed to change the Record ID field to reflect that.

Hi! Is it possible to create a “link to record” that automatically updates when there are the same two fields in both tables (eg.: User Name) Because it seems if I create the linking that I need to click in the field manually in order to connect the rows with the same user. Thank you!

Hello there, first time on the Airtable forums. We really want to figure this out and figured someone around here may have some wisdom! We use Airtable for our real estate business and would like to find out how we could have a small app that simply tracked # of sales we got under contract in the month, and number of sales we purchased in the month. We track the dates of when we get a property under contract, as well as a date for when the property is purchased., in an Airtable base. We would like to use these dates to create a visual ‘counter’ of sorts that we can look at for motivation during the week ie. we can see how many properties we got under contract for the month, or purchased for the month, at a glance . Hi! So I’ve been setting up a new automation to see if i can get notifications when it’s been x amount of time since I’ve had a catchup with someone. I checked out the tutorial here It’s worked fine when I’ve done the test, my only issue is that it seems to only notify me about one record that meets the criteria, as opposed to all the ones that do. Any idea how to work around that? Also, how long after setting up an automation will it kick in? Thanks!

Hi, guys! I’m trying to create an automation. Every time I enter a record matching specified conditions, I need an automation to update that same record, inserting values in two other fields. I did the following steps: Trigger: when a record enters a view Action 1: find records where labels is ImportantUrgent Action 2: update record from the Table Tasks, where RecordID is Records (Step 2: find records - List of Record Id, Field Importance is Important and Urgency is Urgent. Yesterday, when I inserted only one record, that automation worked just fine. Today, when I inserted another record, the automation failed. See the screenshots below. Could you please help me fix this? [EDIT] I’ve tried several combinations. Keep receiving the same error message.

The automation creates a new record based on criteria, one of which is a collaborator field filled in. All works fine with the appropriate collaborator filled in except my name. I’ve tried with and without quotes, copying my name directly from the field in the table, even starting from scratch, nothing works. The collaborator field is called “Owner” and I get the following failed message: Field “Owner” cannot accept the provided value: No matching collaborator. I appreciate any guidance. Hi, I think it´s is a basic issue but I´ll be grateful for any help. When using the “When a Record is Updated” trigger for create a new record, several records are been created when a start to type the changes In this exemple above 4 records were created but I need just 1 new records with all changes made. How can I solve that? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way for the automation to perform the action based on the response in a certain field e.g. if the response in the Gender field is ‘Male’ the record should be created on one table and if it is ‘Female’ then the record should go on another table. (I think I do need them on separate tables as opposed to creating a view as I need to link records. In my example above, on a male record I would need to select someone from the female table to match him up with and vice versa) Apologies if I’m not being clear.

Hi guys, I’m trying to cross-reference two tables within one base and add some automation. It seems like this should be relatively straightforward but can’t figure out a way to do, maybe overthinking it! Anyway, one table (“Completed Reviews”) is dynamically generated when a person submits a Review form. When the form is submitted, an automation creates a new record in this table, and a Reference ID is generated (i.e., Ref Id) based on a formula that parses and sequences certain text. In another table (“Assigned Reviews”) I’ve uploaded (from a csv) a single field that matches the Ref ID structure listed in the “Completed Reviews” table and have added a blank column (called “Completed”). What I’m trying to do is add a “1” or a “Yes” or some other signifier to the “Completed” column when a Ref ID is created in “Completed Reviews” that matches the one list

Hi I would like to know how to create an automation to copy a record view in one table and use it to create a new record in another table. This is time series data so I am copying todays data into a table with a history of data by date. Would anyone be able to help?

Hi, I want to automate the addition of email id in a synced table and checking up that emails id in the main table and updating the status. This basically means, that there are two tables one of them is a synced table to the main table. There are email ids coming in the synced table through webhooks, I want to automate the next steps that, once the email id is present in the synced table, the automation should look at that email id in the main table and change the signup status to yes. It would be great if you guys can help me with this, stuck over it for quite some time. Thanks in advance.

I’m looking for how to create an automation that updates date upon a particular field being edited, but only if the date was was blank. As far as I can tell, this is a multi-conditional automation… not sure how to implement 2 or more conditions in the automation. There may be other ways to go about this with scripting, but I’m not an engineer and don’t know how to write this.

Hi, I want to have an automation get sent every month. I followed the steps outlined here using the HOUR() function wrapped around `NOW() Automation: send an email every month at specific time of day to list of users, but because an hour is still 60 minutes, the automation fires more than once during that hour. Ideally, it would just fire once. Any ideas on how to make this happen? Thank you

Howdy, Automation slots are so, so precious. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: In order to ensure we stay under the Automation limit, I’ve had to switch everything away from “When record matches conditions” triggers to “When record updated” triggers, watch a whole bunch of unrelated fields, and combine scripts to be massive & idempotent. All good, but significant work keeping track of everything. :sweat: For some tables, we need the data to always be correct - even immediately after creation. For these tables, it seems like the minimum number of Automations is two: one on the update trigger, and one on the create trigger - just to set something inconsequential to trigger the update. My question is,º is there some non-human, non-Automation trickery that we can use to drop the number of required Automations per table to one? That is, how can I ensure the update event will trigger immediately after creation also - without using another Automation slot? Please

I want to insert data from a form to an auto reply that is a duration (hh:mm) volunteered. However it sends in seconds. So I made a formal field to divide into hours. The formula field is just blank. I know I can’t use look up fields but I also can’t use formulas? Thanks

I have an automation that is based on records appearing in a view. The view uses the “Last Modified By” to display any time a record is modified by a user, when the user is NOT “Automations”. Thus, once the automation is run, the “Last Modified By” is set by the system to “Automations” and it should disappear from the view. However, it doesn’t disappear as the “Last Modified By” seems to stay set to “Automations”, even though a user makes a change in the record (“Last Modified By” should then be the user, so it should appear in the view until the automation runs). AM I doing something wrong or is there an alternate method to empty the view of that record once the automation is run?

Hi, I am looking to create an automation so that it automatically updated a ‘status’ once the condition is filled but I am getting confused when asked to include the record ID. For example, I would like to automate the process so that once a campaign date reaches a specified time away (e.g. one month from now), that the ‘brand status’ tab is updates from one criteria to another (e.g. ‘live sponsor’ to ‘nearing renewal deadline’). Apologies if this seems minor, but I keep getting stuck at the reference to record ID. Thanks! Rachel

Hello! I’m working on an automation to send an email under certain conditions. I have two tables: Courses and Students, and the automation triggers when I make a given change to an entry in Students. It then should find the Course with the given course code from the Students entry, and send an email to the Student with some looked-up info from the Course. One example of something I want to embed is the Course’s schedule, which is a formula, returning text, in the Course table. I can successfully find the record from Courses, but the problem is that, when I hit “+” and drill through: Records (from Step 4: Find records) → Records → Field values → Schedule, hit “continue” the only thing available to embed is “length”, not the actual field value. Some other fields I can successfully embed, including fields that are Linked to Another Table. Maybe this has to do with the results of the Find being a list, but I’m guaranteed only to ever

Hi All, I am trying to set up a new zap to link my airtable form to Webflow, thus creating a new product in my e-commerce store. Unfortunately I keep getting the message below: “User is not authorized to perform this action: Cannot complete operation for the ecommerce collection [Products] with this endpoint.” If anyone can help that would be amazing.
