Hello, I am trying to use the “Update Google Doc” automation but I do not understand how to fill the “Content” section with the “Select field” option. I have created a google doc template with fields using the google add-on “Fillable Document”, but when I click on “select field” option in the Airtable automation, I do not see any field to select. Does anyone know how I have to set up my google doc template so that Airtble identifies fields from this file? Thank you Pascal

Hi guys,I currently need a way to convert a single/multiselect into a string that I can push through Make into a dynamic template on Sendgrid.I am bodging it with a SWITCH formula"SWITCH({brand}, "Brand1", "Brand1, etc,etcFirst it feels messy and I bet there is a easier way, and it falls flat when you turn on the option for a user in an interface to add their own input.I would rather keep it in Airtable, so someone in an interface could select a single select option and then edit the output if desired.Make.comI have tried to do this through Make, but I am getting some strange results with it picking it up the single select, able to convert it to a string and even output it on an email, but this only works for the value that was selected during the construction of the make. As soon as it in changed it doesn't work (no errors, just doesn't show up in the dynamic field).This has stumped me! Any advice would be great 

Hello, I've got a Base where each record is a person. I'm trying to create an automation that will share that record as a URL with each person (using their email address in one of the Fields), but not ALL the Fields in the record. I know I could manually create and send Shared Views that had the Fields I wanted, but this is hundreds of people, so I can't do it manually and I'm looking for a way to automate it.

I am trying to make a list of records automatically send to me every 24h, this list is based on status, all of this works, but my problem is I can't seem to get the list to be clickable?Tried both:[Link Text][List of 'Base record URL']and[Link Text](List of 'Base record URL')Any help to make these clickable would be great  

How can I have an automation (or formula) return only the first record in a manually sorted table or view? I have clients submitting tasks and manually sorting the tasks according to the order in which they would like them completed, and we only work on one task at a time. I'm trying to build an automation that changes the status of the next task ("next" is determined by the manual sort field) to "in progress" when there are no longer any tasks for that client in progress. How can I do this without creating views for every client? 

Hi guys, I current have a button that opens a url that is a Make Web Hook, I was wondering is there anyway for the same button to also update the record.My plan is to open url to send email in sengrid, aswell as update status from Open > Sent. Has anyone done this before? Any assistance would be really helpful Thank you!  

I'm building a project management platform. In my current configuration, there is a table for Projects, and another for Tasks. When a Project is created, an automation runs to add corresponding Tasks. The Project table has a "Status" field, with options for In Progress, On Hold, Canceled, and Done.When a Project status is changed from In Progress to On Hold, I added an automation that also changes the status of the underlying Tasks to On Hold (so the individuals to whom those tasks are assigned now to pause work on them).But how would I create an automation to switch that Task status back to In Progress if the parent Project status is changed back?If I set the trigger to be "when record in Project matches conditions (status = In Progress), it's going to update a lot of tasks that should be updated.Is there a scripting solution for "if a project was On Hold and now is In Progress, change all underlying Tasks statuses that were On Hold to In Progress"?

Hi all,I have a really simple script as part of an automation, that is supposed to open the URL of an interface page item that was created earlier in the same automation.I'm aware there's a button to open a URL in the interface designer, but then i can't have that button run the automation... function NewTab() {            window.open(            "https://google.com_blank");        } There are no errors, but the URL won't open.Any ideas? I've searched posts here but all seem to be related to the scripting dashboard and not scripting within automations.Thank you!

I have a table Formation 1 in Airtable that contains various information, including a field named Status with values such as "refused", "accepted", and "pack". I also have another table, Formation 2, which contains different information and is synchronized with the first table. I would like to set up an automation such that if an email in Formation 1 has a status of "refused", it should be added to Formation 2 with the status set to "pack solo". How can I achieve this?

Hi all,I've been running into an issue with an automation that I just can't seem to figure out; basically, I have one table which contains a date column (Reachout Tracking), along with a linked field to another table which contains contacts to whom I'm sending an email (Contact List).I'm trying to set up an automation where when I update the Date Sent column, it automatically updates another date column called Date of Last Reachout in the linked table: I know that something in the automation chain here is messed up, but here's the chain I have so far. It doesn't give me errors when testing but it also doesn't achieve the desired results:Any tips for how to successfully link and have this column update automatically would be HUGELY appreciated.Thanks!Patrick 

Hi, i want to read pdfs via the open api and fill the data into predefined tables.Im not so experienced with JS, but with chatGPt I managed to receive already the correct data. Now I get an error that doesn't help me any further. I checked all fields have correct names. Is there a way to use automation to automatically store a document in the newly created data record for every newly created data record

Hello- I’m looking for some help with an automation/formula in airtable.I have a table called Inventory that has all of my products in it. I have a view that contains priority level of what needs to be produced next and the amount of space it takes up during production by product.I have another table with kiln loads (production) that I need to link all of these records to automatically by priority level and not have the kiln space exceed 90% (I have a rollup field that sums the space taken by each product). Essentially, I need the automation to start linking the products to be produced on the first record, once that reaches a max of 90% space, start linking them on the second record, and so on until all of the products to be made on the first table are linked to a kiln load.I’m pretty good at airtable but this one has me scratching my head. Hello!!I have an automation I'm creating where I need it to do a "find record" based on email address. Hello ,I have two tables: "Formation 1" and "Formation 2." In "Formation 1," you have fields such as name, surname, email, status, and phone number. In "Formation 2," you have fields like name, surname, order date, email, title, funding, and coach. The two tables are not linked.You would like to automatically transfer the same information from "Formation 1" to "Formation 2" when the status is "Refused" in "Formation 1." How can you do this using Airtable alone?

I created a form in Fillout to update fields but now when I share the unique URLs with those who want to update their information, it says that they do not have access to this base.  I'm not seeing how I can update settings without giving each person access to the entire base.  Thanks in advance!

I am looping through a list of people in a table and adding them to a multiselect linked field in another. I have found andimplemented the following code to update multiselects without deleting the records existing values.I have found that this only works IF the record contains a value. I would like to create an automation that reminds me by email 1 month before a date from a formula field. Unfortunately I can't change the value of a formula field to dynamic or say the date is within 1 month like I can with a real date field. that doesn't work.

Is it true that Airtable is fairly limited in its ability to allow you to use HTML formatting for send email? Is the solution then to have to use SendGrid or another service that could help out with email automation?

UPDATE: found out this was due to a formula error, which left the deadline date field in #ERROR for the affected records. Out of a bunch of 96, some 5 just failed with a quite unhelpful ""Subject" could not be converted to a string" message.The e-mail subject field uses a variable to fetch a deadline date. For 95% of the e-mails it works like when tested, for 5% it doesn't.Any ideas how to troubleshoot? How on earth does it work for some, but not for others? Hi,I created a script which takes data  in a project financial table and updates special table with payments report.I'm going to setup it to run daily or weekly automation, and add it to many projects in different bases.Problem with updating a single-select field 'Type' (of operation), when new Types appear.here is the issue, automation can't do that (script extension works ok):thinking about workaround - use preparation script, compare and check whether new types available, output them in variable 'newtypes', find any random record in destination, loop Update it's 'Type' through the list of 'newtypes', then return the old value.Then run main script.More clean solution, to avoid affecting Modified Date of existing record could be - Create new record, Loop update it with all new types, then delete it (by script).Unfortunately, Loop must be in the end. Can't return old value, can't run main script(I put 'List of record IDs' in 'Record ID'(to update), it's not quite correct, but

I would like to set up and automation that "At 9 AM every Monday, Airtable will automatically send a Slack message to a user if a certain condition is met (e.g., "Task1" is set to "Pending Activation"). The Slack message will have an actionable button (e.g., "activated"), and when clicked, it will update a specific field " Task 1" in Airtable (e.g., changing "Pending Activation" to "Activation"). But the test result is negative and showed received invalid inputs.    

Does anybody have a good workaround for delaying email automations for (example) 10 minutes? Our situation: When a project goes over budget, an email is sent to the project manager But: the email will go immediately, which is a problem, because the project manager might simply be in the process of updating the record, and once he’s finished with his updates, the project might not actually be over budget. Therefore, we are getting tons of false notifications. What’s needed: Some sort of pause before the notification is sent out, where Airtable checks to see if the situation is still true for that record, before sending the notification.
