Hi guys. Im quite new at automations and scripting. I have been trying to set a an automation that filters records under specific conditions and then opens an URL contained on a field of that record. I have learnt that this is not possible through Airtable, so im also working through Make to achieve it, but its not being easy for me either. But i have seen another  possible solution: Open it through a clickable link in markdown. So im trying to write a script in other to do so. The input is already set up, but when i try with output, it doesnt work. This is what i have writen so far:  And this is the error i get:Could some some help me a little bit?Thanks. 

Hi everyone, I’ve been using Airtable to organize my content for a horror story website, but I’m facing a bit of a challenge when it comes to categorizing different types of stories. Since I write a mix of horror and thriller, sometimes the themes overlap, and it’s tricky to create a clear tagging system to sort them efficiently. Has anyone here dealt with a similar issue when organizing creative content? Any suggestions on how to optimize categorization or create a flexible system for better content management would be a huge help! Hi FolksI am a newbie to AirTable, so apologies if my question seems very basic.My automation consists of an action script that calls an API for an external system, and if the API operation is successful, it sets the “Status” and “API_Response” fields in my AirTable to “continue next steps” and “Success” respectively.Then, a conditional logic block is meant to check if "Success=continue next steps" and "API_Response=Success" and if these conditions are a match, a Create Record and Update Record actions are to be executed.However, even when the API operation is successful, the conditional logic is not evaluating to true for some reason, when it should. Hello, I would like to know how I can create fields that would belong and update to two tables at once.Currently I can only have one field linked to another table. For example I want my Deal table to serve as input to a Contacts table and be able to input the Name, Last Name and Phone number into this Contacts table, from the Deal tableie : When I create a new Deal occurence, I can simultaneously create a new Contact occurence related to this deal without having to change tables)Thank you for your help

I am looking to send information stored in a Google Sheet as an Airtable automation (using Gmail as sender).I've attached a screengrab of the ideal format to be sent  

I have two tables Projects and Approvals. Projects are "approved" through an approval form that feeds entries to the Approval table. I have setup an approval form that dynamically pre-populates a record identifier in the URL from the Projects table. I have setup an automation to run when a new entry appears in Approvals table When I test the Find Records step using the dynamic Record Identifier filed from the form - the test shows me 0 results. But if I copy/paste the same record id and use the static mode - it returns 1 result correctly The automation ALSO works when it is Live - I'm just not able to use the testing function as it always returns 0 results. Any ideas please? 

Hello, I am looking for fairly simple workflow: User fills a from User Receives an email with a file with their answers with some minimal formating Airtable has a page designer that has some bare bones features that are sufficient for my use case. On my action “Send email” I would love to be able to select my attachment as a “page designer PDF” form the same record. All the parts are there but I just cant see the integration between apps and actions. Am I blind? It really looks like I am missing it rather than it being missing. P.S. Formstack has an app that generates PDF into an file type fields but I can’t find a way to tiger it on new record creation…

Hi guys!I have a free AT plan, because I currently lost my job. At my last job I had Business plan.Currently I'm working on automatically creating PDF inside AT. I have google docs, connected with DocsAutomator, and I want to create PDF once one field is updated. I have one form for holiday request. Once employee submit it, I receive the email with the request. I can either approve or deny it (with webhooks in Make.com). Once i approve it, the record in AT is updated (in Make.com) and then I want that PDF to create itself. This was possible in my previous job, because we had paid plan.Is there any way to automate this? Maybe with some other tool that I can use and automate it make somehow? Thanks for your help!

Hi, I read a lot of questions about this topic, but they are really old, so maybe something is changed ( I hope :pray: ). Is there a way to send the document I created in the page designer extension straight to the attachment field rather than manually downloading it and uploading it to the Attachment field? I don’t have a big budget to pay for external services, but I have a lot of pdf to manage (more than 5k). Thank you

I have a table with a list of Products, with various details about the them.I have a linked table with the products' prices.The reasoning behind the decision to separate the two is that the prices change from time to time, and for different sales channels, the prices vary.I'd like to set an automated email that is fired when a new product price record is created.The email should include a grid table that shows:The records of the current and previous prices of the relevant product.I'd like to pull not only all the prices of the same product, but to also include some conditions.For example: all the filtered records should be the prices in the same country (e.g. Germany, or the United States).Please recommend the best practice to configure this requirement.

I have the following script to create records in a table. Event Name is a Single Select field. But I get an error "Error: Field "...." cannot accept the provided value." await passTable.createRecordAsync({ "Event Name": event, "Event Date/Time": date, "Notes": notes, }); }  I tried:  "Event Name": [{name: event.toString()}] and "Event Name": [{name: event)}]  but neither of them work. Any suggestions? 

Hi! I am trying to take my formula field (that is super long because it is a prefilled form) and make it into a hyperlink in automated emails. I have tried using the [words](formula), but it does not seem to be working. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I've got an automation that creates new records based on content in the triggered record, but the linked info disappears after about 5 seconds and I see the attached screenshot.A more concrete example - I've got a project record that I can add defined tasks to from a task template table. I made a button to generate new task instances for those linked tasks in that project. Those task instances have a link back to the task template record.Initially everything works as expected, and I go to my tasks instance view and I see the new task instances that are linked back to the task template. But, after 5 seconds they disappear and I see the attached screenshot for the linked task template fields. 

Ok, here's the workflow I'm trying to create:User 1 creates a new ticket by completing a form. (Easy)Automation generates an email to User 2, notifying them of the new ticket, including a few details and a link that opens the record in another form, which includes the details from the original ticket submitted and the ability to update the status and other fields as needed, then submitting the form to update the ticket. (???)User 1 gets an automated email, notifying them of the updated ticket. (Also easy)Is it possible to generate url that will open the record in a form to be updated and submitted? If not, could I instead generate a link that opens the record in an interface that I design for that purpose? I'm trying to minimize the opportunity for either user to get confused by other records or the Airtable interface, since neither of them will be Airtable users.Any creative ideas?Thank you!!!

Hi,I would like to trigger an automation with a button in a list interface. That's not possible, but how then to handle the following?The listing groups all records (projects) into several buckets. The user can choose which bucket to list with a dropdown filter element. After finding the right selection, I'd like for the user to trigger an automation for that selection. The automation will (loop and) send out an e-mail to and update some fields for all the listed projects.Is there some clever workaround that could be used?Rgds,Björn

I would like the employees at my company to be able to work within the Interface and generate letters for our clients through PDFs that are exported to the desktop.I know there are so many third party solutions to document generation, but I was wondering if it is possible to create a script that would be activated by a button in the interface to generate a letter that will save to the users desktop using one of the third party solutions.A click to download letter button.   

Hello!I am trying to create a way to track our recruitment conversion rates (for a large program where participants apply to be part of). I know it should be possible, but not sure how to configure it all. Here are the key elements:We have an existing airtable base where all prospective program participants apply via a form. A required field as part of the application form is "how did you hear about our program." I've created a button that links to a script. The script duplicates the line where the button sits and duplicates linked records housed in another table. However, the script crashes seven out of ten times. Is there any way to mitigate this? Is it my internet connection? I'm tearing my hair out as it's almost quicker to manually go around all tables and duplicate records and wire them back up by hand 😧

Hello,I am building a project management tool and want to send daily messages to the users on late tasks, upcoming etc...to do so, I have created my automation as follow: The idea is to run automation everyday, look for all users from a table 'participants', and for each one of them search for late tasks assigned to them. Generate an email and send it to each recipient. (I don't want to generate 1 email per late task.... too many messages)This works great as is, except that if there is nothing late in the queue for a user, he will still get an email with an empty table...anybody has a solution to add a condition on this automation?thanks!

I have a table of worklist items that are assigned to users. I want to create an automation that once triggered will execute the "find records" and would go through the distinct list of users that have open tasks.  Open tasks I can do with a filter, but how do I work it out such that if Joe has 3 tasks, the action only executes once for Joe?I tried the group but it didn't seem to do the trick (unless I'm doing it incorrectly). I could just do it all in a script, but I'd rather use the no-code tools to drive the automation. Thanks.

Hi! So, I tried an automation to send an email to some designated people from a list on Table 2 when a record enters a view on Table 1. The users are coming from a linked record from T1 to T2, but when I configured the automation, the system apparently didn't read the emails are emails so, so it failed to send anything. Am I missing something on how to do it?  Background: All of the users are Airtable users but they don't have access to the email accounts linked to those emails.

I'm exploring ways to automatically assign a publish date based on a rolling schedule I can pre-set. I'm looking to avoid manually setting dates and want the system to add content to the schedule automatically. I'm not sure if I need to create a formula for this or another table to reference back to. Hello.Very new to Airtable. I am a designer working with a marketer for an events org. We are using Aritable to manage all our projects. I need a unique number for all the projects and am wondering if it's possible to auto number across multiple tables in a base, as that is how she is going to organize (tab for brochures, tab for print ads, etc.)I also would like an alpha prefix because we will have another base for another events org that we work on simultaneously.Ideally, I would like to have all projects in both bases just be auto assigned a unique number, but I don't know if that is possible either.Thanks for any help!
