Hi everyone! I have a follow up survey that we send to customers via Airtable form. No prefilled info, pretty simple rating, feedback, and customer email to be filled out. Here's the kicker - we got a response back, and the customer entered @gmail.con instead of @gmail.com. The problem is, I have several follow on automations that are dependent on that email field to match it to the original survey request and then update both records accordingly, notify the user, etc. I already have modifiers on my other automations that corrects any caps to all lowercase, trim, etc to ensure the data is clean and matches. I considered using the "length" modifier, but considering I have no way of knowing how long any given customer's email address will be, that's not really an option. Now, I know I

So I currently have an automation set to when it hits 6:00 AM everyday, a record will be created and it will tag the record as backlog (in the status field) and will copy the created field's date and update the name of that same record. However it is always one day delayed. I do not know why this is happening. Here are SS of it happening. Would need all the help I can get. Thanks!       

Good afternoon, I’ve got a handful of automations that are triggered by updates to specific fields in a table, and when the criteria match a record gets flagged. I’m seeking a solution for how to get a new automation to run where the trigger criteria are met by existing records when I flip it on. Currently, when I set the automation to run, the existing matching records don’t execute without manually updating them. There are tens of thousands of records in play, I know I could manually trigger it via a checkbox or some other square peg, but the maintenance of it all is becoming a part time job on its own. Is there a mechanism that yall have found which lets this flow more like opening a spigot and less like doing it twice because some records already match the trigger? Would appreciate any insights. We use a form with our database so that students can post pictures of homework. When completing the form, each student inputs her student ID to create a new record, and attaches pictures of homework. The homework is associated with a specific session. The master table of students and sessions includes a unique “student session id”, but students don’t know it (ie can’t input it into the record). I would like to create an automation that is triggered when a student submits a record to the homework table. The automation would look for all of the “student session IDs” associated with that student ID, find the largest “student session ID” for that student (more recent = highest number), and input it into a field in the record. Can anyone point me to a script that would do something like this? Thanks!

I am working on in a table whose purpose is to have all aircraft on market & recently sold as a mechanism to build an MLS type system. I am trying to create an automation to delete a record IF a record that is being imported/create whose MSN matches and the Sold Price was filed where as before it might have been blank (signifying the aircraft was available). Hey, basically I have got a table with important deals and using Record Track extension I managed to create a report with all statuses and prices and etc, however, I can not send it on a weekly basis on email using automation. Any ideas which extension I can use? To generate report and send it to email on a weekly basis.  Thanks

Hi, I'm using automations as a workaround to add more options to a dropdown menu, per Airtable Support's instructions, but it's not working correctly. Currently, a user can select "Other" from a single select and enter the "Other" option in a separate text field. The automation is supposed to pull that text back into the original single select field as a new option in the dropdown menu. Right now it is only pulling the starting character, rather than the whole string of text. I've tried deleting and reconfiguring several times, but it still is not working. I've attached some screenshots for clarity.  Thanks for your help!K

Hello!I'm looking to have a daily email automation run with a list of Found Records. I'd like the subject line of the email to have the current date. I see that I can add in a List of the Dates for the Found Records, but...it will show the date for EVERY record, rather than just one instance. Is there a way to suppress that to only the first instance of the date so that my subject line doesn't read "Daily Attendance Log DATE DATE DATE"?Thanks in advance for any help! 

Hello Airtable Support, I’d like to know if the following HR automation is possible: Our goal is to streamline our interview scheduling workflow. Once we decide to interview a particular applicant, we’d like to send them an Airtable link. On that form, they should be able to: Book an available interview slot. Upload their resume. On our end, we have several roles, each with designated interviewers. The idea is that when an applicant selects a role from a dropdown menu, a calendar appears showing the available interview slots specifically for the chosen role. This calendar would need to sync with each interviewer’s availability. Is this feasible in Airtable? Thank you!

Here is the situation and thanks for all help in advance.I have a grid view where the primary filter is to only show records where a date field is empty.  This could be as many as 50 records at any one time.I'd like to add today's date to all records in the found set (empty dates) in fell swoop.  Of course, if I add the date to the field, it drops off the found set. This means I have to select todays date in 50 records with the awkward disappearing record.So an automation that will update the date field in all records in the found set might work.  I played around with an automation to do this, but couldn't figure out how to do it.I am open to alternative ideas.  Essentially, I have a set of 50 records that have an empty date and I want them to disappear from the list when a date is put in the empty date field.  But I'd like to automate it somehow.Hope that makes sense.  I have two attachments. How do i create a field or metric that shows the time it took to complete a project. for example, tracking the difference from the start date to the date when the project was marked as complete or from in progress to complete. I want to ignore all the other statuses e.g. not started, blocked etc.Is this possible? Reason i ask is to track this in a dashboard for average project completion time.

I am building for the following scenario and need help to understand a few things1. I have a master table that has the main data (Name, Email id, etc) 2. There is another table with a field (Name) that is linked to the name field in the master table.3. I designed an interface to delete a record from the master table. 4. Now when I see the linked field in the second table, it has disappeared as it should be. However, the entire record does not get deleted. 5. So currently I have added a check column in the second table to check if the Name field is present or missing and am running an automation through Make to delete the entire record for the second table.I wanted to know if this is possible through airtable automation itself instead of creating an automation through another tool. Also if this is possible to run the automation through an interface. Thanks

Have a deal with a company to lower their costs on segments and get a cut per segment. The commission is based on costs cut which vary by segment. As I’m working through them one by one, the commission start dates are different per account.How can I set up a system that will take a commission start date and make a new record for every month from start date up until current month.Would like for this to work retroactively, meaning if the date was April 2024 it should automatically create records from April up until today, and a new record per segment for every future month automatically.

So my goal is to automate image enhancing via form submission.When my table receives the form submission, most of the time, it will receive multiple images ("rawFiles").Once it receives the data, it will send a webhook to Make.com where it all goes through the automation.My issue is "rawFiles" only receives data as a string and not as an array. I have an Airtable automation that uses the AI module to summarize text fields for each record in a view. A repeating group iterates through that list. In Make, those newly updated records are processed through a Word template to output a report. I'd like to figure out a way to trigger them with one button press.There are three ways I'm aware of for triggering Make, but I can't figure out how to make any of them to work.Webhook doesn't work (I think) because I need it to happen sequentially, with the Airtable automation running first.Record update: my original plan was to update the status of a report record that Make was watching after the Airtable automation looped through the whole list, but it doesn't look like you can add another action after a repeating group. So I also tried a script within the group that would count the loop iterations and compare to the list length, and at the end of the last iteration, would update the record. But I don't think

I know this issue has been discussed before, but there doesn’t seem to have ever been a solution discovered, so I’m bringing it up again in case anyone’s found an answer in the last 1.5 years. The problem: occasionally/often, when an attachment is uploaded to Airtable via a Make.com automation, Airtable will immediately delete the file after upload. In the record history, it will say that the user who created the record also deleted it, but that’s not the case. Here’s a Loom video illustrating.
