I am a new user of AirTable. I have a very long table that is currently being updated (by multiple users). So new records are being added/deleted to this table. Within this table, I need to create a linkage column to show that certain rows are "related/connected". I can currently only manually type the text of the linked row ID (as a text in a column called "related record"). Is there a way to truly link the multiple rows within the same table?Because the table (A) is constantly being edited, I can't use the option of creating another table that duplicate table A.  Also, I do not want to create another table that simply show record 100 and record 110 are related in Tabe A. Thanks! 

Hi, I want to write a script that automatically deletes duplicates as soon as something new is added to the table. Basically it should work similar to the Dedupe extension, but be automated to save time.I only want to delete rows which are identically in each field. It's my first time trying to automate a function with Airtable. I would appreciate if any one has some ideas how to get started with the script or maybe has even written something similar before.Thank you for your help!

I am new to scripting in Airtable and am receiving "Received malformed JSON input." every time I try to validate my JSON. Hi,I need to sync an Airtable base with another system via API. Currently, I am using Make/Integromat to run the HTTP request and then iterate through the responses to check Airtable to see if a record exists and then either update it if it does exist, or add a new record if it doesn't already exist. I run this daily. There are about 5,000 records currently, so the automation runs in Make add up each day. Lately, I have been doing more with the native Airtable automations using javascript, and I have an idea to try to use an Airtable automation to sync the data, essentially cutting out the Make scenario. It seems to me that reducing tools would streamline things and make them simpler. My question for you is if you think it is feasible for me to run a daily automation in Airtable that would send an HTTP GET request to the remote system, which will return a big JSON response with all of the remote records and their fields. Hi All, I just wanted to ask if you encountered the same issue with using the Airtable api or webhook in Make. So we are using Make.com to Record the data from Go High Level to Airtable. There are times that the run is successful but the data is not in the airtable 

I am creating a table/form to insert log entries into a daily log. It requires a bunch of sub-item data and inserting weather info of the day when the record was created. I was wondering if there is any way to automate inserting that day's weather info (temperature, rain data etc.) into that log when that entry is created (maybe even pulling in the date field and fetching the weather for that day automatically)? I reviewing ideas about using IFTTT or other automations but none seemed to allow for that day's weather info to be inserted into a log entry on record creating easily. Also, as you can see in the screenshot, I have to create a formatted record of multiple sub-items in a longtext field eg. in trade updates. Ideally these should be some form of structured sub-items but I am not sure if there's any way to handle that in this interface or data field

Hello,I have a column in one of my Airtables that contains the date of when a piece of information was published on my site.I am trying to set an automation that looks at each row of my table every day and sends an email if any record i have becomes 60 days after the date I enter in the "Date" column. To test out the automation:I set the date for one of my rows of when it was published to 3/20/2024 (this is now 3 days since that date) i am setting the trigger to just be 1 day after the date.  The condition is "When ["date"] [is after] [number of days ago] [1], send me an emailFor some reason, when i set this all up, it tells me that the table does not contain any records that match the provided filters.

Hi all!I use Documint to generate a pdf of teacher evaluation results. I want to generate the pdf and then attach it to the email sent to the teacher. I keep receiving the error 'an attachment URL is disallowed'. I've read a previous post on this topic and reached out to support.  I don't feel I've fully grasped the issue. What it sounds like to me is I need to delay the automation so that there is time between when the attachment is uploaded and when the email is sent.  I'm unclear as to why the now function is needed as opposed to the dateadd function. I need to set up a workflow where users register through a form with their email address, and in some cases, an optional Group ID I will pre-fill using URL parameters. I would like to run Automation every week on Sunday, and the purpose is to have a running change for my Pivot Tables. I would like to take the "Items", "QTY" and "Last Date/Time Updated" from Table1, and copy/ paste that data into the Table2 which has the same column names. Is this possible and how is it done? Hi all -Airtable newbies here! I'm an ops manager supporting a team that has a ton of gates/deliverables. There are lots of dates (50+) and it is cyclical every 3-4 months. The team has told me it would be helpful if I created calendar invite reminders for their outlook calendar to keep them on track. I've already inputted all of the deliverables and dates into airtable and created some great calendar tools, but am having trouble creating the piece to bridge the gap to outlook calendar reminders.I was able to create an automation tied to a button on an interface. However, I'm finding a few limitations to this and wondering if anyone has any great solves?I have to press a button for each record/date individually. Hey all,I'm working on setting up a tracker for my team, but I'd like to set it up so that our final milestone in the Gantt chart is a fixed date that cannot be changed. The milestone date represents our client delivery date that we cannot pass, so if previous dependencies shift, I don't want the milestone to change. It's fine, almost preferable, if we get a warning that there's something wrong. Hi, I hope it's ok to ask for some human help here. Like many, i'm sure, I've been getting OpenAI to help me out when my coding doesn't work, and for the most part that's been fine. But i'm stuck on something now.I have a script which takes a 'booking' (which is a record in a Bookings table), looks at the linked record for {Episode} and {Element} and increments the number found within each by 1. It then searches up those records in the relevant tables "Episodes" and "Elements" and tries to create a new record with those found RecordIDs in the relevant fields. I am getting stuck as the script reports that the fields in question (which I've confirmed are correct IDs) won't accept the RecordIDs in the format they are being given. The fields are linked records, able to accept multiple records, so I think the script is presenting the RecordIDs as an array. the script is below, and also the error I receive. // Corr

I created a scheduled email to send weekly when the status of my table matches certain conditions.  The message was done in a grid view to include the column information.  I am trying to figure out how the user that receives the email can actually update the records using the email instead of having to go into the base table. What am I missing? Is there a way to click to the records in order to update from the email that is sent out.  Thanks!

Hi, im starting to automatize my data base and im finding a little problem sure community can help me with.I use AT to manage an academy. I have a main table in which i record each student profile. Then i have to go to another table which has a linked field  to add the new student record of the main base in order to count students per hour and availability. My idea is that the automation is triggered by certain conditions from the New record, then find the record to update, static, and update the linked field. I have done so, but the problem is that it changes the field content, doesnt add a New linked record, deletes the previous existing records and  i just need to update with the New record matching the conditions.Thank you in advance. 

Hi! I want to update my table based on info received from webhook. I see there's an option of finding a record and then using the record ID update that record. I can't figure out how to, for example, find a certain record based on the username I received from webhook.Let's say there's a "Name" field in the table and "username" received from webhook. Hello! My team and I are currently trying to find a way to when a faculty member already planned a trip with us before the fields that they had filled out last year, that all of that information gets repopulated in a form and if there are any changes, that they can look through the form and fix anything that is needed. We currently have a form where it asks whether or not it is a repeated program. We want to have an automation that triggers when that form is submitted if "Repeated Program" is Yes, that whatever program they choose, that old record repopulates some of the fields into a different form and sends the link to that same leader for final submission.   You can ask any questions if you need some additional clarification!   

We noticed today that a step in our Automations that sends an email if any of three fields are not empty is broken.  Has anyone else noticed a change?  These fields are not checkboxes, but Airtable now is complaining that they aren't.  We have been using this on about a dozen automations for over a year and suddenly they are all broken.

I would like to assign volunteers to certain events, so I have a Linked Record field in the Volunteer table, allowing me to associate certain events with certain volunteers.Back in the Events table, I'd like to divide these volunteers into Teams A and B. How do I create a Linked Record (or dynamically filled multiple select dropdown?) for each Event with *only* the Volunteers assigned to those events appearing?I can create a Linked Record in the Events table where all the volunteers appear, but can't find a way to condition the list and limit it to only those who are already linked with that Event.Hope this is clear... At the first table I have product properties database. At the second table I have sales data from the system.
