I’m very NEW to Airtable.I want to create a B2C project. The goal is to have the client enter a due date and an email is triggered to notify them each time the item is due. I don’t need to know their due dates because it will become their personal tracker .It’s like their personal planner/accountability tool.Is this possible?If so clear and simple instructions because I’m learning how to develop a base from scratch.thanks in advance

Hey guys,I am having an issue with a formula field not showing up in a teams message. I have a formula field inserted into the body of the message, the formula is just "Required" or "Not Required" text. But when I test the action the formula field's text doesn't show on the teams message. Has anyone encountered this or know a fix for this?Thanks!

Hi there,I am looking to create nice email templates on Airtable and send them via the automation function. I tried with Aeropage but I need to pay for it which I rather not do.I also tried with Sendgrid but can't find how to do it once the template has been created.Thanks in advance for your help

I have an automation which sends out entries to the database through email.Error message showed that one of the emails couldn't be sent due to it exceed 25mb.Is there a way to increase the size limit of the email or is compressing the file the only way around this?

hi there, i was trying to capture text w the mid feature for text inside a bracket in my title column imported from google calendar however for some reason it's not grabbing it. What should the formula be? The text that needs extrapolating to a different field is within the "[" and "]" [TEST] Restaurant Name: Name of Event. Any thoughts? I'd then like that text to trigger a dropdown menu in a different field.  THank you!  

Hello, I feel like this is relatively easy but I am stuck. I have automations set up to send out a welcome email each time a project is sold. I have spec sheets and standard documents I want to send with each email. They are standard forms that are the same for each project. I want these to automatically attach to a record when it is created. I have the forms set up as their own table. How do I get Airtable to link these forms whenever I create a new record? thank you

Hi All,So I have a question about the best way to merge data. I manage a scholarship program for a festival that happens once a year. We've been using airtable the last few years to manage the staff, artists, and scholarship recipients. We saw a lot of success converting our emails into Typeforms last year and want to expand on that.We use a typeform application for people to apply and then pull those who are selected into an 'Accepted' View. We intend on sending 4-5 typeforms with questions so we will need to merge their answers into each of their 'Applicant' profile. The typeform will ask for the same email address they applied with and I would use that to direct the merge. This is going to create a lot of multiple 'accounts' and I want to make sure our data stays tidy and manageable. Rundown:1. John Snow is accepted.2. We send out  Typeform 1, 2, 3, and 4 out to John3. John fills out the typeformform as he recieves them, the data is collected and sent into airtable vi

Hi, I have researched the forum but cant find the problem to my solution. Every time a record is updated in UseCases, I calculate a field call Environment_textual (example value would be "Negligible risk").I have another table called Environment_pics where I store pictures for each rating (e.g. there is a pic for "Negligible risk"). I want to create an automation which takes Environment_textual and copies it over to the linked field, so I can the picture in the UseCases list.I get an error for the last step.Should I copy the result in the linked field in UseCases or in the linked field of Environment_pics? For use cases it runs succesfully but the value is not inserted, for Environment_pics I get an error "The record does not exist"Please help. A gif would be me most welcome, or any description, link. Hey my Gmail automation appears to be set up correctly with a publicly hosted web image that should send in the body of the text. It works in the preview but when I send the email it doesn't show. Could anyone point out where I'm going wrong please? The subject and body of text pulls from my airtable and sends in the actual email, then I use (<img src="image web address">) to attach the image (This does not send). Does this need to be configured in a particular way to send via Gmail that I'm missing? Cheers! 

Hi All,I'm having difficulty automating a task that I need for my database. Hi community, I’m building up automation with Gmail sending records to the mail address of the person who filled out the form. I used the Rollup field to pull the email address from the other table. I’ve run 50+ times testing trigger and all the steps which showed no error, but it never succeeded while actually performing the automation after submitting the form. I’ve also tried to delete and rebuild automation for 3 times but still in vain. I also assured that every cell of mail is not empty. I attached some screenshots of the condition. Is there any suggestion to fix the problem? Much appreciated!

I have a simple Zapier automation running creating a record in Base2 after certain criteria met in Base1, this is working fine. But I need to include a User in Base2, and Zapier doesn't seem able to do that unless I have a corresponding User field in Base1 -- but Base1 has no Users fields! I can't add everyone on my team to Base1 just to be able to do this automation, besides that it's adding them to a Base they never need to use and wasn't built for User Fields at all, it also will cause mayhem from the useless "you've been mentioned on this card" emails everyone will get. I just need a corresponding Name (linked record text field) to correspond with a User, without actually utilizing a User Field in Base1. Any advice? Airtable support doesn't help with Zapier and I didn't find any existing articles on this.

HelloI've creating a function to act as a rudimentary web scraper to grab some meta data like the page title, description etc using the `fetch()` api. In an automation, this works perfectly as expected. But in a scripting extension, my `try...catch` throws an error message of "Failed to fetch".Are there some restrictions/limitations between automation scripts and extension scripts when it comes to using `fetch()` ?

Hi there,I'd like to set up an automated weekly email for pending leave applications, but only if there are actually pending leaves. When I tried using conditions linked to individual records, it sent multiple emails. And when I used scheduling as a trigger, it still sent an email even if there were no pending leaves. I have an interface with this summary, but can't seem to use it in the automation. Has anyone figured out a solution for this?

Hey folks,I'm having a strange problem with updating records in my Airtable. I set up an automation where it checks if a record with a specific user ID exists. If it does, it updates the record, and if not, it creates a new one.I deleted all the records from the table. Now, even though the table is empty, the update is failing because the automation is finding two record IDs that don't exist anymore.Empty Table:Run automation :The update will fail as it refers to the previously deleted records' IDs. Is it a cache issue of some sort?Any ideas on how to fix this?Thanks!

Hi Airtable Community,I have a table with events. New events can be added via a form and various needs can be requested for the event using a multiple selection field.A record is generated in a second table for each need.I have currently created an automation for each selection option as I have not yet found a way to do this dynamically. However, as there are now around 30 different needs, I would like to make the automation dynamic. Any ideas for a solution? The problem is that the need has to be named correctly and I can't pull this information dynamically from the multi-selection field.Thank you and BestMirko 

Hi Community. I'm new to Airtable automations so apologies for what may be an overly complex workflow - any suggestions to improve it are welcome. Goal: send an automated email when someone "invites a friend" on a website. Email will say "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site", etc. How I've set it up so far: Airtable table with fields Friend's name, Friends email, User's name, User's email Concatenate formula to combine the above fields into a message something like "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site"Automation to send an email using the text from the Concatenate formula Problem: there doesn't seem to be a way to format the text so when the email sends, it's just a long string of unformatted text. Does anyone know a better way to set this up? 

our airtable is automated in sending email notification whenever a new data is added in google calendar. however, i've noticed recently that it sends email notifications excessively and was wondering how to fix it. it's excessive to a point where if you just adjust the time in an event in calendar, it sends email notifs as seen below. the trigger to the action is "when a google calendar event changes"even though i can change the script logic to only add the guest if the change in event was a new guest, it will still run the automation and therefore count towards the number of automations run each monthis there a way to figure out why the google calendar events are changed? i can't see it when looking into it

Hi,I'm looking at trying to create a simple invoice e-mail to be sent out as a result of an automation. I can basically get all the needed data in, but struggle with getting visually at least semi-appealing ;).I read the manual about markdown and that some html can be used. I also looked at the instructions regarding including images in the mail. However:with the limited html on offer, has anybody been able to build any form of layout (other than vertical listing 😉 )? Could CSS and <span> be used to, say, get a right side header column? Or should I try to build views of the relevant tables and insert the data as grids?if I include images (one top banner, one logo) as attachments from a table, they are not just plain images, but have some frames around them. They are also clickable links, which is not good. Based on the instructions I can't decipher if it's possible to have inline images *that are not linked*, but actually a part of the mail, and without being links?Thank
