Hi all,I am using webhooks to catch website request for our services. On our site we have 6 pages that all have a contact form for their independent service. These are customized to the service. E.g. some will need an amount, some will need a timeframe, e.t.c.To illustrate and simplify my issue, let's say I have two. I have set up an automation:Trigger> Google sheets: when a row is createdAction 1> find records where REF is [value from google sheet column with REF #s, which should match airtable REF values]Action 2> update recordAction 2 is giving me trouble. I have 2 fields I want to update (a checkbox and a currency field).When a row is created on the google sheet, for example with airtable REF #AB-0101 in the google sheets "airtable ref #" column, I want airtable to find record #AB-0101 and update that record's checkbox and currency field. I swear I had it working last week, but today's test failed due to "invalid inputs." I don't really understand how the "Record ID" part of the automation setup works for Action 2 (update record). I did blue plus sign > Use data from... find records step > ...... then I'm lost! I've been digging around trying to find an explanation for the different options here (Insert all records as list vs grid, vs Make a new list of...) but not

I'm hoping someone can help me please. We are not having much luck setting up some simple automations. We've watched lots of videos and follow step by step but still can't seem to the do the following. Hoping some can give some very simple instructions aka: AirTable for Dummies 😂 A) When we update a record in one table we would like it to update in another table.  For example when the outcome or status changes of a product we would also like the outcome or status to change in a linked record. B) When we add a new record to one specific table we would like the record to be added to our all contacts table.    Thanks in advance! 

Is it possible to automate the status of read-only interface collaborators? For example, when the status of a collaborator changes to 'inactive' in my base, I'd like to remove them as collaborators on all interfaces. When their status changes to 'active', I'd like to remove their access to Interface B but preserve their read-only access to Interface A. 

I need help with script (or other way?) to merge Multiple rows with same "User ID". These aren't duplicate rows. They have 2 fields in them that are different in each of the rows with the same User ID but need to be merged to one row. Essentially every 4 rows will have the same User ID that needs to be merged like this. Hi - I am just starting out with Airtable and I want to track my yearly memberships and send an automated email to the customers when they are nearing their 1 year renewal period. In that email I would like to include a stripe link that they can click on to pay for their renewal. Depending on their membership type, I have different stripe links. I am wondering the best way to do this? Here is what I have set up so far...1. Trigger - I have a filer view set to show records that match a certain condition. For instance - I want to send an email to everyone who purchased in March 2023. So I filtered by date - If Date is after 2/1/2023 and Date is before 335 days ago. (is there a better way to do this?) I have built an inventory management system, where each item is a record in a table. I was able to add an extension that creates a QR code for each record and saves it as an attachment in PNG format.  The intention is to print that QR code on a label, then stick it on each item in my store room. Once someone extracts it from the store, they scan the code and mark it as "OUT" to keep inventory up-to-date.My main issue is to create a way for the QR codes (PNG attachments) to print. Ideally I would like to have a button that uses an extension or script. Once you click the button, it prints the QR code for that specific record only. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to achieve this?

I'm not normally a scripter, but just spent two weeks trying to put this little routine together and make it work. The script calculates the date one year in the future and uses it to rename a new column in the format MMM'YY.  After loads of trial and twice as much error, I actually got in to work!:Naturally I was really pleased with myself! Now just to apply a trigger. I want it to run on the first of each month. My first idea was to paste it into an automation. But I soon discovered that scripts run from the automation cannot create fields.How frustrating! Why not? Can anybody think of a workaround? Is there a command I can put in the script editor to make it trigger on a regular interval?Any ideas or workarounds gratefully received.

I have a script that I'm using to update records in my Airtable base, but it seems to be taking longer than expected and sometimes hangs indefinitely. Hi! 2 things…I’m trying to find a workaround so that when you being typing in the address field, the address starts coming up like in Google maps. I have the map extension installed and can not figure it out. From what I’m researching it’s not possible? Also, relating to address mapping… here is my other scenario…Im creating this for a cat rescue and we perform mass trapping also. While in the field and a cat is trapped is there a way to snap a pic, create a new record and in the location field have our location populate? thanks!

Hi,I'd like to ask how many emails i can send through automation triggered send mail action.I've read other posts and threads but i am still confused with the wording of Airtable.it says I can send any number of emails to collaborators with verified emails.and also i can send email to 100 unique non-collaborator email address per day.In scenario, I send task notification email to "A" non-collaborator email address, and then sends task assigned email to "B", when "A" completes and changes the status, and if it sends completion email to both "A", and "B" then would it still count as 2 unique collaborator, and i still have 98 more unique non-collaborator email address room left?Just want to clear up this before i start mailing stuff through the automation.Thanks

Hello, I have a DB ~15,000 records. I wrote a script to merge and delete records. It compares three data fields for duplications and combines the duplicate records. It also will merge data from two other fields if the fields are not empty. I tested my script on a 500 record DB and it works fine. When I test on a 2,500 record DB it times out. Can someone make any suggestions on how I can cut the execution time on my script ? I've seen posts about using a hash index, but I don't think that would work for what I want to do. Because I need to iterate through all records to find duplicates. Summary - here I would like to collect prices from Payment and VAT from Invoices2. Invoices - here are list of invoices, each has at least one connected Payment.3. Hi everyone,I'm new to Airtable and I'm trying to automate the process of updating fields in a primary table based on records filled out in a secondary table. Both tables share the same ID for each record. The primary table serves as my master record, while the secondary table contains five fields that will be completed via a form. I'm pre-populating the ID in the form to ensure consistency across tables. However, I'm struggling to find a way to automatically reflect the updates from the secondary table in the master record table as soon as a new record is created. I feel like there should be a simple solution, but I haven't managed to figure it out yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When an interface button is used to trigger an automation, does it leave any kind of trail in terms of date clicked?I am making an interface for a staff member to generate a draft contract, but she needs to do it only once. Since the button is so easy to click, I am afraid of it being generated multiple times. I thought I could somehow put a field showing below it of the date the automation ran. Thanks!

Generally, I've been very happy with Airtable's documentation and what's available in the community.  Not so much with this issue.  I see posts ALL OVER the community about people needing to query a table or view and filter their results (like a typical WHERE clause in SQL).  This is one of the most common questions/issues I see, and yet the support from Airtable staff on providing very clear example code for accomplishing this is between abysmal to non-existent.  I'm no genius, but I'm fairly bright.  Trying to figure out the exact syntax for accomplishing this from the info available is way to difficult!  Come on, Airtable!  Help us out!I'd like to see a new section that supplies plenty of specific script code samples for the most common query filtering, such as...1) A basic string field "where FIELD = 'Some value'"2) When multiple fields need to be included . I have setup an automation to create a new event in Google Calendar. I need it to be an All Day event however, the automation does not create it as such. Instead it is adding an arbitrary time to the event, in this case 12pm.I am using the same Date field from my table as my Start and End times and the date format in the table does not include time. I am also including the same Date field in the All Day Event option when configuring the automation.Does anyone know how to create an All Day event in Google Calendar through an automation?(I do not want to make the Start Time 12:00am and End Time 11:59pm, it does not create the same type of formatting that an All Day event has on GCal.)

Hi hi.I'm stumped. I set up a ridiculously basic automation for a client to send an email at a scheduled time. It's set up as follows:Trigger: at 9:00am on the 15th of the monthAction 1: Find Records that match a condition (billingStatus = Bill By Month)Action 2: Using the records that were found in Action 1, send one email per record. Each email has my client's email address as both the bcc: and the Reply To email. The Run History shows that earlier today, the automation ran once and 4 emails were sent. But my client got 6 emails! 2 were correct and only were sent once = yay; 2 were sent to the same email address twice - one with the right information and one with the wrong information = boo. Hi. Sorry, but I'm struggling to know how to do this. After my automation sequence, I want to update a date field with todays date to show when the automation ran. I've searched hard here, but I cannot find a way to do this. I've tried a formula in the chosen field to update, but formulas don't seem to be accepted in the 'update record' module.

Hello, I am trying to set up an automation that is sending out all our Purchase orders as an email via a shared distribution list.I can link my account, but I do not have the option to choose the "send as" Example: me@test.com  is my account and I also have access to the procurement@test.com distribution list. I log into my account in the "send email via gmail" automation, but after that it is linked to my private email. I can choose the distribution list as a sender via Zapier, but I would like to cut that out. Thanks for any help and advice

Hi Everybody! since start of the year I've noticed a change in the behaviour of one automation, that is causing me a lot of trouble.In a table I've a formula field that generates the ID necessary to link the record to another one in another table. The automation copy this formula field in the link field and the association is done. The link field as the selection limited to a specific view. Up until recent, this automation as worked very well, but now is not selecting the linked record only in the specific view, but outside of it.Sadly in the table that need to be associated, there some ID that are identical, so the association is not correct anymore. For this reason the selection on the link field on the first table was limited to a specific view, and it worked just fine, but now is not the case anymore.I know that the better solution would be to change the formula that generates the ID of the second table, so that they are unique, but this have implications on all the base, and

I have 2 tables in my database:'Employee Directory' with fields: Name, Seniority, Department, and Email.'Equipment Requests' with fields: Request, Employee (linked), Department (lookup), Email (lookup), and Status.I would like to create an automation where, upon the creation of a request (trigger), an email is sent (action) to the manager of the same department where the employee works.After setting up the trigger ('when a record is created'), I attempted to configure an action ('find records') that operates on the 'Employee Directory' table, finding records based on a condition. The condition should be 'where Department is' some dynamic condition. However, I am unable to select a dynamic item for the Department; it appears grayed out and states "Cannot assign list of string to string".Could you please assist me with this issue?

I am using Airtable's "Project Tracker" template which has two tables: 📝 Tasks, timelines, and assignees and 👀 Overview.I adapted the template to my team's needs. I want to accomplish the following,I want my team to update the status column in the 📝 Tasks, timelines, and assignees table.This table is organized so your tasks are grouped by project. There will be multiple tasks per project.In the Overview table, you can see the projects.The 👀 Overview table has a status column (or field) that should automatically update to COMPLETE, when all tasks under the project in the  📝 Tasks, timelines, and assignees have a status marked to COMPLETE.I'm not even sure if this is possible or how to go about doing this.
