Hey guys! I have just joined the team of volunteers who are working on the project probono.by. We have a database and a call center of everyone who wants to support people who need assistance during our protests in Belarus. Some people need medical or psychological assistance after the brutal police behavior during the protests, someone needs lawyer advice, some need financial support during strikes. The team is currently working on the website using Wordpress engine, but it takes ages to build quite a simple thing – a list of all providers with the ability to filter by a category, subcategory, and region. I keep an eye on Airtable and always wanted to try out this tool. If you guys could help us with advice on how to build a widget that we can embed into the simple website to show all the providers from the DB and provide some simple usable filters – you would become our heroes! Is it possible to duplicate a table and it’s views (in my case the form created from the table) into a separate base? I have an airtable base set up for the program I manage and one of the tabs is an application to our program. It took me quite a bit of time to set up the table and then the form, because it involves many conditional questions. My colleague has a seperate base for her program but would like to use the application I created. I tried to download the csv for my table and then have her import it into a new table in her base but all of the field customization I created did not carry over. Many of the fields were single/multi select (with many options) and when she imported the csv they all appear to be ‘single line text’ field types. Is there a different way to accomplish copying a table and it’s views from one base to another or is it just not possible yet in airtable?

Hello. I am trying to send out a survey and have the data (responses) input into a table. I created the table and thought I could share the form view to get data inputed into airtable, but now I am concerned that would make my data available for everyone I share the link with to see. How can I send out a survey just to collect data that only I can view? Thanks.

Form question: I’m trying to create a “Donation Report” form for a volunteer to complete when they’ve received a gift or pledge from someone for a charity. The donor is almost always going to have an existing record in the “Prospects” table; gifts are entered into the “Donations” table, which is where this form resides. The “Donor - linked” allows the volunteer to lookup people, but it shows only the unique Member ID - not names. Is there a way I can let the volunteer choose the donor from a list of names, instead? I don’t want the volunteer to enter a first and last name for donors because it would duplicate information that lives on their record in the Prospects table. Confusing, but … any thoughts?

I have an existing simple database that holds items collected to be used in a in person silent and live auction for a non profit fundraiser. As with everything else the fundraiser was canceled due to covid-19. We have numerous items in the database and I was thinking about a virtual auction. How and what do I need to do to add the ability for people to link to the database to look at and bid in the items as well as capturing the bidder information for payment? Can this be done? The database consists of multiple tables and Blocks. Any ideas? Jay Stuart

Is it possible to move a workspace to another workspace? In other words: to create a workspace within a workspace, so that all bases within will be moved too. I only use the free plan. Thanks in advance.

I developed a base that I think can be simplified, and would appreciate feedback on the set-up - and suggestions for how to improve it. I think I have unnecessary tables and manual tasks. Here is the basic info (I am new to this community so not sure what is helpful vs excessive) The base is to manage participants in a large community program. People signup on a rolling basis. We use the forms for this. Some of those people then join groups. They either tell us the group they want to be in when they sign up, or we decide later and assign them. They also either tell us the role they want - “group leader” or “group member” - or they say “IDK” and we fill that in later. Here’s where it gets funky: This program has multiple public events, so people wind up signing up more than once, not aware or caring that they already signed up a few months ago. I have a few columns in my base that are basically date fields that use a formula to automatically enter a date based on a previous column. I have a screenshot below. The example code is DATEADD({NoA Date},6,‘months’). This base tracks Appeal Cases for my law firm. Most things trickle off a previous column. When the NoA date has been set, the Perfection date is due 6 months later. What happens sometimes is the Perfection date would need to be changed because an extension was granted by the court. Once the column is set to a function, can I change manually change that date while leaving the NoA date alone? @ScottWorld Thank you very much for your time!

Hi everyone, I’m new to Airtable. I’m hoping I’m missing something really obvious here! When linking to a record in another table, AT gives you the option select multiple records. However, it doesn’t let you chose the same record twice. Why is this, and is there any easy way around it? For context, I’m trying to set up a base for a non-profit diaper bank. Diapers come in about 8 sizes. Sometimes, families have two or more children who wear the identical size of diaper (e.g. twins). Currently, the base will let me use a single field [“Diaper Bundles”] to indicate that a family received size 1 diapers and size 5 diapers, for example. But if I want to indicate that they received multiple qualities of size 1 diapers, as well as size 5 diapers, things get complicated in a hurry! Any suggestions here? I’d love some advice!

We are using look-ups to make a table of contents for building a website. The look-up is bringing in the data, separated by commas which is great. The one thing that we cannot figure out, is how to adjust the sort order. This is the sort order from the source table (desired)- and this is the order that it is being presented in… We have tried to edit different lines to see if the modified data plays a role, not able to find any documentation on this.

Hello, I’m comfortable with spreadsheets… not so much with databases. So, here’s my dilemma: I have a base with 49 records (names of people is the primary field) - 27 people exiting the program from last year and 22 returning to continue service. There are 18 tables and 31 fields. This year (which begins August 2020) I also need to know monthly performance (a number) for each person in 5 categories. Not being able to link tables across bases makes me reluctant to build a new base BUT it seems like I need a lot of new tables and/or fields… 22 (people) X 12 (months) X 5 (categories). And I will need ‘end of year’ performance reports. I can easily do this in a spreadsheet but I would like to try to use AirTable. Suggestions please.

Hi! I’m using AirTable as a deal flow management platform for a fund and had two quick questions I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to: I created a company intake form for potential portfolio companies that works great, except for the “Contacts” part it only allows for us to populate from contacts in the existing Contacts tab or to just write something in. Is there any way for someone to fill out the Contacts part of the form and for it to populate in a different tab than the form is for? Is there a way to give people just viewing/editing permissions for specific records? For example, if we have people who are part of the deal team for some companies and not for others only letting them see those specific ones. Hope that makes sense - thanks so much!

If I want my records for a social media calendar to be different colors (say, different for Facebook, Twitter, IG) what plan do I need? The pricing list only mentions color in the PRO level, but it’s a bit vague. Thanks!

Hi, I was adding Automations to a base, and it says “This base already has the maximum number of automations.” I have not read about this problem anywhere else. Is there any way to increase the max number of automations? I need about 10 more automations. Thanks.

There should be a very simple way to detect a duplicate number upon entry of a record. For example, we have a field called Object ID. It contains numbers like MI20, T14, AI34. This is the unique identifier field so we can’t have duplicates. How do I set this up? Also, when I view this as a form I no longer get the field description that I set up in grid view.

Any help on where I can find help would be great. Is there a “fiver” for airtable?

Dear Airtable Community, I am trying to edit a formula with IF to make it capture the conditions of two or more fields. I have two fields that are either empty or not empty. This is the formula I am using for one field and it works just fine: IF({Constancia}, TRUE(), FALSE()) How can I edit this formula to have it work for two or more fields? Hi everyone, I’m a newbie and starting to understand how Airtable works. But I have a question I can’t seem to figure out. I’ve read through a few similar posts/answers but not exactly matching up to what I need. I have two base tables: users and jobs. Both of these tables can grow infinitely. I need to associate users with jobs conditionally. Because both users and jobs will continue to grow, having an association column in either table isn’t the most efficient way to approach this. Instead, I simply want to select users and jobs where ‘x’ & ‘y’ conditions are met and insert that data into a third table. That way, my app can point back to the third table. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Community! How are you? My name is Federico and I am having a question about the bases. I have a big base where there are 5 tables inside. I need to change one of the column so I can create a new base to add the CRM. The question is: I have the column that says “Name” and i want to change the first column to a formula and then concatenate the name and surname. The link will be the same name but changes the field to a formula instead of the short desc. This table is connected to a table that give course to all the clients orders. Can I change the range of a register without changing the linked record with another base? If I change the row that is linked to another table, it will crush? I will be waiting for an answer!

Hello. I’ve only been using AirTable for a few weeks now so bare with me. I am setting up a grid that has certain dates entered along with other information for law cases. If I put a date into one cell, can 2 the other date entry cells automatically fill in with futures dates based on the first date that is entered. For example, if I enter in 9/1/2020 in one cell, can the next date cell automatically fill in with a date 6 months in the future and then based off that 2nd date, have a third cell fill in with a date 10 days later? I’m sure there is a formula perhaps but I’m unaware after doing some searching. Thank you very much for your time.

Hello folks, I have an existing base that has a line item table, vendor table and product table. I need a total for each invoice along with vendor information for importation to QuickBooks, but am having problems figuring out a relatively simple way to do this. In the line item table I enter an invoice number from written invoice pads that we are using for our farmer vendors who don’t have any sort of record keeping system. If I group by invoice # I can see an invoice total, but without the vendor lookup data. I tried creating an Invoice table with a lookup to the line items table and a rollup summing the subtotals, but it only brings in one line item rather than all with that invoice #, and if I add a lookup to invoices from line items, it brings in multiple copies of the vendor data, which I guess is one problem of having vendor data as lookups in the line item table, maybe that’s a many-to-many problem. Hello! I am designing a receipt submission base where people can submit their receipts as an attachment while filling out the form. I’ve got it setup to email me whenever the form is submitted. The challenge I have is that the email that is generated includes all of the form information except the attachment. Is there anyway to get the email to include the attachment so I don’t need to log in, download the receipt, etc.? I would love to be able to forward that email, with attached receipt and all, directly to my accounting software. Thanks, Nathan
