Hello !, I am trying to make a database for my store, I have 3 tabs created as “customers”, “products” and “orders”. The problem is that if someone buys 6 of the same product from me, I must create 6 records of the same product. I would like to be able to select the product and its quantity. then be able to get the total order. I would greatly appreciate your help!

Hey, I have a strange problem, I’ll point out that I already have several bases and everything works as it should. I created a new one and the problem is that I have almost 300 rows, there are about 10, I cannot read the data in the application where the remaining 290 have no problem, in addition, I have 4 rows where I cannot update them, has someone had this problem?

First time poster. Airtable sound and seems like a great tool, however I find it a bit complicate to navigate and create jobs/task/relations… in it. After spending some time to play around with already made templates (and trying to understand the complexity of all the links and relations), going and reading help/support pages I’ve ended up here. So, before I comit my time with Airtable, I would like someone to point me the right direction and just simply to tell me “No, it cannot be done with Airtable”. I need to create a “Planning a task/job”. Its text-based list, where you might have 10 or 100 individual steps (sentences) where you select only the ones you need for said task. Then you select/pick required tools, safety equipment… Once you select them all (in a correct order) you can create a printable list. Another option I can think of is to use a Kanban View, where you drag and drop all “Steps”, “Tools”, “PPE”… from a General list to individual

We are mentoring a program of teams and wanted to take notes after the meetings with each teams just to track progress and such. Right now, I have a CRM setup using a separate notes table and linking the notes records. This is helpful for tracking when notes are taken, but the biggest problem is that when someone wants to open up the record for the meeting, they can’t easily visualize all the previous notes (since they just appear as linked records vs actual text). So even though you can take notes in a clean way, you can’t visualize them quickly and easily. Any recommendations on ways to set this up?

How can I keep my numbers field from rounding? This seems somewhat simple, but I’ve searched and found nothing. I’m in publishing and trying to add page counts. My numbers field keeps updating 1.75 to 1.8 and I don’t know why. Even if I fix the decimal view, it will do 1.8 or 1.80 or 1.800 - not 1.75. I have done it with simple text but then I lose my sum feature. Any help is appreciated!

I’m looking for some help in how to set this up properly. My main table has the 1st column that is an App. Table 1: App1 App2 App3 I’d like to to have another table where the main 1st column is directly linked and the same as on Table 1. App1 App2 App3 without just copying and pasting them over. [Workers} links to {Companies} and {Workers/Site Visit} {Companies} links to [Workers} and {Workers/Site Visit} {Workers/Site Visit} links to [Workers} and {Companies} When our agent goes to a job site, she fills out a Workers/Site Visit which lists each worker she encountered on the jobsite and which company each worker was working for. Let’s say Diane went to the jobsite and met John, who was working for Pink Lightning Construction. She also met Barbara and Francine who were working for Bedrock Concrete. I have Client orders in one table, each order is linked to a customer and the products they will be shipped. On the Product table there is a Retail price and product description. I am trying to use XML to get and update information from my Airtable. I am doing the following for POST to update a value but I keep getting error 422. I have a table which is an inventory of all of our computers in the company, with several piece of information (RAM, etc.), with the computer name being the primary field. I have a second table which is a data export of all DEVICES that have our software installed on them and what the software version is, including work computers and employee computers. I’d like to create a field in the first table, that’ll grab the software version from the second table. When I try to use linked fields, it populates the first table with all of the devices from the second table, though. Is there a way to only list the devices in the first?

I have tables set up with Autonumber as the primary key. It’s basically my version of a CRM. I have the Contacts linked to the Company records, but it displays the AutoNum instead of the Contact name. Is there a way to choose what displays when you link records? I saw a previous topic that the recommendation was to have the AutoNum NOT be the primary key. Since there can be a number of Joe Smiths or JaneMillers in a given set of names (examples only), I’d prefer to keep the autonum to get a unique key. It would definitely be helpful to see ‘Jane Miller’ in the company record instead of ‘1’…

Can you create a picklist for entry into a primary key field? This would allow a standard and defined list instead of letting anything go into the field. Thanks in advance. charley

Hi, I’m looking to link records from one table to another. At the moment, the way I’m linking the two together is by linking via the main table using the lookup function. Is there a way to directly link from one table to another without using the main table as the core linker. Thanks in advance!

Hi Novice Airtable user question - advice gratefully received. I want to create a master ‘to do list’ - which I will primarily view as Kanban - which I can both add new ‘tasks’ and also pull in items from other tables; using the status field in the other tables to then organise the master to do list. The Airtable is helping me with my professional development covering working on a new business idea, networking, job hunting, writing etc. What is the cleanest way to create a grid that has ‘new items’ and linked records? How can I pull records in from multiple other tables into my master plan and create a status field in the master document that pulls from the status fields in the separate tables? So I might have some networking activities to do, some writing to finish, a job to apply for etc - each of these are currently in separate tables? I hope that makes sense. Hey all, I have been using Airtable for a few years now and I’ve got quite a few complex tables happening these days. Which is fun. But can also be frustrating. I am wondering whether there is any table or function that will allow me to view all of my fields in the one place, along with their linkages, their field types, descriptions, and their options (eg if it’s a single select, the options to select). Does such a thing exist? A particular use case outside the general described above would be when we are planning to build a new website. What I like to do is create different tables in Airtable to wrap my head around how the new website’s database would look. But I’d be able to better plan this if I could see an overview of field links with their respective options. Basically adding in another SUPER table showing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to post a gallery link to Facebook and the link posts but only with an Airtable pic? Is there a way to do this? I am interested in my Notes information as part of the post.

I have published a gallery view to my wix page and thought everything was great. Question. Why when someone clicks on View larger version does it take them to an airtable.com site? 2nd question. If I like the larger view that seems to be appropriate how can I duplicate that view? Thanks for your help charley
