Hi, How do I create an API from a EMR to Airtable? I am trying to create research database.

Hi ! I supposed it might be a Google Drive support question too but I wished to give it a try here first. I followed this example : https://www.onlinedatabase.expert/post/creating-qr---bar-codes-in-airtable-with-integromat in order to create QR codes, store them to Google Drive and upgrade attachment fields in my Airtable database. Everything is working fine except in Airtable where the attachment are not visible. The png file is correctly generated and stored in Google Drive. In the Project Tracker template is a field Subtasks. with a list of items and checkboxes. I’d like to create a subtask field from scratch. Unfortunately, it’s not clear, at least not to me, how to do that? Tia

Hi! I have a Base where we get new orders come through on one table. We then pick products to add tot the order afterwards, and do that in new fields to the right. Item 1 as a field, Item 2 as a field etc. I’m trying to work out how I can do a stock count on another table to keep tracking of how many of each product I’m allocating (so I dont run out!) But can’t work out how! I would normally just do a count function with a lookup of the product if I was in a normal spreadsheet but lost as to how to do it here! THanks!

Hi AirTable Community, Hoping someone can help me end the madness that is manual verification. Here’s the rundown. The first tab is a bulk import from Workday. Inside this tab is a view that shows users that are authorized to access a specific program based on job title and organizational unit. A second tab is a form where users can request access to the program through a site on our intranet. I want to be able to: When a user requests access, I would like the second table to look at the tab in the first table of authorized users and flag somehow in the second table that they are authorized. Is this possible?

I’ve read several posts asking for solutions to something similar to my requirement (below), but haven’t seemed to hit on the solution. I’m desperately hoping someone can either help me find it, come up with a great hack, or just confirm that there is currently no solution or workaround: PROBLEM: I would like to be able to dynamically filter the options shown in one linked record field based on the value in another linked record field in an individual entry. BASE STRUCTURE overview: Activities Table: records are entered for individual team ACTIVITIES (e.g. “write weekly email”) Products Table: Activities can be associated via linked record field with a number of different PRODUCTS Departments Table: Products AND Activities are both associated via linked record field with a set number of DEPARTMENTS. I have installed the Advanced Search block. As there is (currently) no way to add keywords globally (to avoid having to have separate keywords in each table), I am experimenting with scrapping keywords altogether and rely on search. However, I cannot work out how to search for a phrase, for example ‘as a whole’. Any suggestions please? Also is it possible to confine search to a particular field? tia

I am brand new to AirTable. I’m trying to use it to replace an MS access CRM. The CRM is really simply, built of two tables, customers with a unique customer ID, and interactions which is linked back to customers by a customer ID. In MS Access, I have a form which has a dropdown/type field for me to start entering the customer’s last name, then choose from available first names, and it brings up their customer ID, and relvant details from the customer table, It also then populates a small table with all of the notes and dates from previous interactions. Ihave the tables loaded and linked, but I can’t seem to recreate the customer details + interactions view. If I click on the customer ID within the customer table, I can see a list of the calls, but I can’t find out how to tell it to just show the dates and notes from that table for that customer. Thoughts?

What really makes Airtable different from Excel and other spreadsheets? Is it worth the higher cost?

Hi, interested new user here. I’m a Freelancer, and I already have over a thousand records from quotes that I’ve fulfilled in the past, but I don’t want to upload each one again on Airtable. Is there a way I can upload this information more easily/ quickly? Or would it still need to be done manually? Also, the most time consuming part of my work is managing my projects (general workflow listed below). Do you know if it’s possible to make my workflow below more efficient on Airtable? A potential client/customer has to fill out a form on my website, and I automatically receive an email with the information they filled out. I then take all the information from their email, and enter it into my spreadsheet. After that, I figure out what the estimated cost will be based on the service tier that they chose. Next, I put all of the information together for the quote and copy it over to a template I’ve already set up in Microsoft Word. Las

I am putting different decimals accurate no. to my table, but I just want them to show in 2 decimals. Like in pop. column, I put 1.459868 and 1.84390809. I want them to show as 2 decimals but keep the original. So in one day I still can convert back to the originals. How to do that? Nelson

Hey there, I have a refreshable power pivot table (refreshed daily from an internal data source). Is there a way to create a new row every time a new record is added to the power pivot excel? I recognize this may require a third party (like Zap), but wasn’t sure. Thanks in advance! Rachael

Do the different price levels effect security? How secure are the sheet uploads from outside sources? Admin. v Collaboration - Who can upload sheets? Only admin. or also collaborators? How much power does a collaborator have, can they delete entire project? Can you edit how much a collaborator can change per project? How many collaborators can we have, does it vary per level purchased? How many collaborators can use the database at the same time? Thank you!

I’ve started designing an AirTable to replace my Excel file to keep track of theatrical lighting template stock by my theater. This image shows where I’m at: Now, to make this user friendly on computers and mobile, I would like to be able to use the tables as a “grid view”. For example, If I click on a table labeled SL 300, any template with an inventory count of >1 in size SL300 will show up in that table with all the information from the main table. I have a grid view set up this way, but my testers couldn’t find it. Also, I would like to be able to track which production is using which templates and thus how many in each size are available for others to use. For example, G579 size A is often used in up to 3 shows at a time. How would I set up a table to show usage and availability and have that show up in a search? Thanks for any help!

Hello , i need help please I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for in airtable support. I want to put a superscript in my words in my products, what type of field should I choose (i think Long text is more appropriate that Single line text) and how should I display it? e.g. “John” and the symbol of trademark i want to put in superscript on “John”, the name of product). Hi there, We have a schedule of all our training dates (Schedule) in one tab and then a separate list of all of our trainers in another. In the schedule tab, we have a lookup field that we use to input which trainer(s) are delivering which training. Oddly it won’t let me create a filtered view in the schedule that says When trainer IS ANY OF Serena, Joanna, or David. We only see contains, does not contain, is empty, is not empty. Am I missing an option here or is there a way of using commas to separate the values?

Hi everyone, I would like count the number of records form another table. For example, I have created a table with all the payments that the company receives, and they are linked to the customer master record. But I would like to add a control in the customer table of the number of payments made by this customer (the number of records, because a payment is represented by a line). Hi everyone, I’m new to this. I have created a table to collect student grades. I collect the data on a form and populate the Student and Score fields by use of a form. Thus, I have many different names in my Student field. When I filter the names, I easily separate out any specific student’s scores over the previous 20 tests. But, I cannot figure out how to AVERAGE these scores for each student. Can this be done, or is my data collection method fundamentally flawed and I should start over again? Happily accept everything but blows. :slightly_smiling_face:

We have a difficult time updating records that become “lost” within the database if a change is needed during the workflow process. I’m going to do my best to explain the situation in hopes someone can take my blinders off and help see another way around this. Current set-up: We have multiple views set up that are based on our workflow. Each view is filtered to only show records that fit the criteria for that stage in the process. As the process continues, certain fields (criteria) are marked which moves this record to another view, creating the next stage in the workflow. Problem: If the project requires an update mid-project that particular view might not have the appropriate field available for this new information. Is there a way I can add the same record twice in a linked record field? I’m building a product sales database. When I have 2 of the same item in a customer order, I can’t figure out how to add the same item twice in the order record. I’d rather not have to track each order item individually on it’s own row because it becomes difficult to calculate the shipping costs for each item in the same order. How do I delete “unnamed record” across the gallery view or how do I fill it in? I can’t figure out either.

Main behavior (see screen capture for reference): 1.user download a new record under “Film purchases” tab which includes a country name. 2.the country name is not properly spelled as in the masterdata list (i.e: official list of countries that is used to harmonize data management) 3.if a new record is uploaded with the wrong country spelling, it creates junk data in the masterdata list and therefore requires a constant manual clean-up Goals: we don’t want to limit field permission we want to bring users attention to specific look-up columns so they can validate/quality control the data once a new record is uploaded is there an automated way to help bring users’ attention to these specific columns ? I thought about a pop-window that specifies as follows “the country information has not been uploaded properly, please verify data with corresponding masterdata list” but I understand airtable can not provide this tool. anythin

Hello, I am a new user- I created an Airtable base that is updated via Zapier from a Google sheet. The records seem to be populating from the Google sheet correctly, but when I try to Group by Client name, not all the records are grouped. I will have some records with the same name in it’s own group. This has happened a number of times so manually dragging those records to the other grouped records of the same Client name has become cumbersome. Has anyone else experienced this and know of a fix or what I may possibly be doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.
