Hi, I have a company table and a contacts table that are linked. When i click in the linked field of the company table, and click +, i see all the records in the contacts table. I would like to limit the shown records to only those contacts that belong to the company in question. Can anyone advise how i do that plse?

Hello,we run an agency and for every client we have a different base. The base is almost identical for every client. We now have access to the business plan, and we want to use a master base to consolidate the data from every client into one base, so that we can benchmark our performance as a whole, and dive deeper into every client if we wish. We have a table called KPIs in every client base. The KPIs are always the same. For that reason I have created the same base in our master base, and I am now syncing data from master into each client base. We also have a projects table for every client, which includes 3 fields (primary metric, secondary metric, tertiary metric). These field are linked records from the KPI table. In the KPI table (for each client) we can then see how many times a KPI has been used for that client, and the overall uplift for a KPI with a client. I want the same information to be shown in the KPI table in our master base, but then for all cl

Hello, I have a table where one column is a relationship to itself. So I can links records to each other.I’d like to have another column where I show the linked records. Sort of like a Lookup what records are linking to a specific record.I found this 3 year old thread, but it has no solution offered here: Is this something I could do today?

Hello, Been very busy and I suspect I’m going blind with what’s probably (hopefully) a simple data flow. As a picture says a thousand words, my problem is as per below; I can self link a record to its own table with a lookup field, which in this example I consider that as “Pushes to” - So A pushes to B. But what I’m needing, is another column that tells me the reverse of that relationship, so I can see that “B” is pulling from A - and then even create a filtered view around that very “Pulls From” data. I’m keen for your thoughts on this, hoping there’s something simple that I’ve missed that will allow this workflow. But I also have access to scripts/automations too if they’re the only way out of this.

I have two separate AirTable bases that I’m using to track our orders and inventory. I just upgraded from a free account because I wanted to be able to sync information from the two bases to be able to compare orders to inventory side by side. I’ve created a new base and synced tables from each existing base but cannot figure out how to get data from one table into either the other table or a new table. I’ve tried lookup fields and linking to new record fields and can’t get a new field to populate with information from the other table. Is this not possible or hopefully I’m just missing a simple solution?

Hi - I'm absolutely stuck trying to achieve the results I want, and I'm hoping for some focused support. I have 3 Tables in my Base:- Vendors - which contains companies I contract work from.- Resources - which contains the individual resources that work at those companies, as well as their individual monthly rates. Resources are linked to Vendors.- Monthly Cost - contains a list of records for each month of the year (eg; January 2025, February 2025, March 2025, etc).  In Resources, I'm assigning Months, from the Monthly Cost table, for when I expect this resource to work. In Monthly Cost table, can see the assigned resources by month, and I created a Rollup field to show the Vendor names associated with the Resources that are assigned to the month. This is using ARRAYUNIQUE, so if I have 5 resources at one vendor, I don't get the vendor displayed once. I also have a Monthly Resource Cost Lookup field that wil

Hello! I am trying to build a Base/Automation in Airtable to count how many times an event occurs in a week, and then add/subtract it. Essentially, to count how many times customers use the events that they paid for, and then subtract it from the events they have remaining. I set up a Pivot Table to do the count, but I am not sure how to set up the Table with the actual schedule in it, without have to create new fields/columns each week. Specifically, I am having trouble figuring out how to set this up in terms of the fields and columns. It’s the same time blocks each week, I’m just having trouble figuring out the skeleton of this table in the base… I looked through the Help and Templates section, but none of them seem to address this particular part of the scheduling process…  Any ideas/advice would be welcome, I’m sure this isn’t a unique use-case, I’m just having trouble with this one table… Thank You!

Hi,I’m relatively new to Airtable and I want to use it to help track inventory. I’m not familiar with coding or complex formulas and I’m thinking those are the exact things I’m going to need to pull this off…Ideally, I want a base that has a full list of inventory and user capabilities to allow checking in/out different items. I want quantity to auto-update based on in/out. The user facing side needs to be very simple and easy. Originally, I was thinking a form where the user will type in the ID and whether they're checking it in or out and it will auto update the quantity but now that I’m trying to work through that- it doesn’t seem very straightforward. A form recording every single response as a new line item is not useful in this case.Quantity number will be very important because I want a dashboard that displays what items are available and where to find them. Any guidance would be incredibly helpful- other posts, help pages, formula suggestio

I found this post: Help creating a script to tag products with keywords from product titles.  Using the code with the adjustments the script runs, but not well.  I am hunting keywords in course descriptions for a sustainability tracking and awards system.The problem is when this searches for keywords it's too literal. If the course description has "...equal.." then it will attach that link. If the description has "...equality..." it will not. Originally the keyword list had the asterisk wildcard, which meant there was a lot of things it wasn't finding because it doesn't seem to recognize that as a wildcard, but that lack of wildcard means it's missing possible links now. I would prefer not to add every iteration of "equal" to my keywords list though.How do I address th

I’m new and just learning Airtable. I know that other flower farmers use Airtable already, but I haven’t found many resources about how exactly their Workspace is set up. I’d love some input regarding keeping track of items such as a master crop list, year to year crops, maps, task calendars, inventory, clients, products, newsletters, vendors, etc. It doesn’t necessarily have to be flower specific as the veg community has a ton of overlap. 

Lets say I am linking a People Table and a Projects Table.In the People table I want a column that has all the Projects Associated with that specific person. In the Projects table, I already have all the projects listed along with the associated person. When I ‘Link from Another Record’ from People to Projects, nothing populates. I’ve tried the LookUp as well but nothing populates as well. 

Hi everyone, I have a problem with Lock view. I have a view that I lock so that other people can’t modify/change my data listed there. but when i try to share this view. the toolbar for fields, group, sort, etc is not locked and the person that is using the shared URL can use it.Is this a bug or thats just the way it is?if yes, then is there a workaround for this?thank you in advance  

I have a base indexed by project name. Each project is assigned a salesperson and a department number. I want to learn how to create a task template within this base. Each project will have the same set of tasks/subtasks. It would be great if there’s a way to automatically populate a task list when I create a new project in the base. Any direction you can provide (guides, etc.) would be greatly appreciated!

The app doesn’t retain login. I login into the app as normal,  go through the bases etc.. no problem. After close it by swiping the app (so it’s still running) or by terminating it, when restarting, the app asks me to login again. I just submitted another issue with Airtable app crashing on uploading images so this seems a separate issue with this current version.Submitted ticket for both issues but I am wondering if anybody else experiencing this. I live in the mobile all so this is quite a problem for me. In the meantime I need to create a Fillout form to be able to update Airtable records.  

Hi,I am importing raw data periodically, let’s say monthly.Every import includes a data field with the date of import.Given the repetitive imports, the key differentiator (let's say Supplier ID) is repeating.I added a locked view where I filter by import date.=> I now want to analyse the data for two of the imports, e.g., 1. January and 1. June and see if any supplier was added or removed and what data in a specific field (e.g. performance) has changed. The closest I got was partly manual and didn't work: I copied and pasted all Supplier IDs from both import dates into Excel and then removed duplicates.In a new table with auto number index, I added that list into two linked Supplier ID fields, and each of the fields linked to the views 1. Jan und 1. June. Then, I added two look-up fields for the performance of each date.My goal was to have a list showing either the relevant performance per different date fields or bla

I’m having an issue with two-way syncs in Airtable.I have a Source-A table in a Base 1, which is synced to Base 2. In Base 2, the Target-A table is linked to a B table.The problem arises when I want to remove duplicates in Source-A: I have no way of seeing whether one of the duplicates is linked to a record in B in Base 2. If I merge duplicates and delete the one that is linked to a record in B, the connection between Target-A and B is lost.How can I prevent this loss of links?I tried using the Dedupe extension on the Target-A table, but I got an error saying I don’t have the necessary permissions.I understand that if Source-A is synced to multiple bases, removing duplicates can be problematic because additional da

Hello Airtable community,This is my first Airtable project having previously used Trello and Monday.com.I am looking to create a project management tool with standard features (client, contact, team member, project, etc).  Where I am getting stuck when mapping out/setting up is:Projects are to have a start and end date (proposed) or a timeline that can be changed depending on progress on-site. This ideally will have subitems as stages or tasks. I see this as quite straight forward. Team members will be assigned to a project, which can change daily. For example: Team member 1 works on Project 1 next week, however on the following week we need team member 1 on project 2 for 2 days, then back to project 1.  Equipment/machinery TO be treated similar to team members or as items? So they can also be allocated to a project for differing times.With the above in mind, my boss would like to continue sending out a daily (

Hi there, It has been a while since i last made any significant updates to my Airtable projects so I am a bit rusty. I am struggling to find the best way to create “a table inside a table”....I have a table called “Quotes” that has these fieldsQuote ID (single line text) Option (some clients will review different configurations) Line items (multi-select)I want the Line items field to select multiple (static data) records from another table called “products” and then list them inside the quote record. Is this even possible? Hello,I am endeavoring to create a social-media post manager/tracker to coordinate reposting of the same centrally-approved content on the same dates by many different agencies for various campaigns.  The first table contains a record for each content item with the posting date(s) assigned, along with the agencies who will need to post; since there may be multiple posting dates, instead of a Date field, I have added a table just for dates to make this a Linked Record selection.  My second table, which has a row for each selectable date, pulls in the content to be posted on each selected date with a lookup for the agencies tied to each. This is intended to be the table that contains views specific to each agency for their own status updates, filtered to show each agency's approved content assignments (via the "Msg Approved by City" checkbox). This is how I would like it to work when the base is put into use.  Note that I tried to use A

Hi I am extremely confused by Airtables Linked records and dependencies. Former Access User - I am used to the process of a query design where one takes two tables, identify the matched field on both tables and then having the ability to create a new table with the records from both tables or update one table based on that field relationship. In airtable I can’t see to find a way to do this.I keep creating a linked record in airtable from one table to another and it’s empty.. if I make a lookup field up it wants me to add things but I have the data in both tables I just need to manipulate. I have watched and read airtable instructions over and over and it’s not clicking!! 

I use Airtable as a logbook for the vehicle (TABLE1). Each row = one trip. I would like to use automation to send myself an email when an oil change is due. So I need to total the miles driven (from TABLE1) and compare that to when the oil change is due, which should be placed in another table (TABLE2).Is it possible to create one record in TAB2 that still shows the current SUM column from TAB1 (same number as in the summary bar)?I don't want to use a rollup that has to be manually updated each time.

Hi Airtable Community, I have created an interface with a dashboard. There, budget amounts are given as a number based on our financial year. Now I don't want to have to adjust all filters in the number configuration every year (when the financial year changes).Does anyone have an idea how I could build this dynamically so that I only adjust the FY once and it takes the current year into account in all filters? best regardsMirko

Hello! Who is an export in building short term rental inventory systems in Airtable?I work for a A/V production company that rents out LED Tiles and Audio equipment to trade shows. We'd like to build an inventory system that tracks gear getting rented to specific jobs and clients.We'd also like to be able to download what we call a "pull sheet" which is a nicely designed PDF that lists all of the gear getting rented for a specific job. Is anyone up for helping to build this out?
