I have conditional visibility set for 2 fields in my form. One is working correctly, and the other is not. I need to know what I am missing on the one that is not working correctly. Here is the one that is working correctly as it is in the form and what the conditions are: Here is the one that is not working correctly, as the Clients Location Link is still showing up when it should just be the Love is Blinds Location Link: Any help would be appreciated.
I'm trying to create a new Base for Donor information. I've successfully created the new Base and everything seems to be syncing fine. However, I have been using just a Autonumber Field for the Original Donor Primary Field and have converted it to a Formula so I can include Donor names with the Serial #. Now, in the synced base, I am unable to assign the new Field as the Primary because it's synced. Is there a way to override this? Why doesn't the change in the original migrate to the synced Base?
I am so disappointed in the updated Record Review layout. My team was satisfied with the filtering and sorting available with the legacy element-based record review layout. I am trying to find a way to customize an efficient arrangement of fields, but all I can do now is list them one per row..? I don't want to have to look for an Airtable alternative just to build an attractive record browsing interface.
Hi there,I'm facing an architectural problem for which I haven't found a solution as of yet. This problem is linked to the way I handle revenue and payment depending on the client type – small company or big company. Here's how I decided to structure my database to handle revenue and payment for small companies:And here's how I decided to structure it to handle the workflow for big companies: But this leads me to the following problem in terms of database design. I could have found a solution to this problem by:breaking the [Revenue Items] – [Client Sessions] direct relationshippulling the Client Sessions into the [Revenue Items] table with lookup fields and assigning each of them to the proper revenue item in dynamically filtering them based on their execution date Only problem... dynamic filter is not offered on lookups! That means that all client sessions for the deal are assigned to each revenue item, instead of having only client sessions of January be put
Hi there,I am hoping to build a form which allows individuals to 'verify' the data we have on file for them. For example, say I have a phone number and an account number I want them to confirm. I have this data in a table, and want some way to have this in the form with a yes/no tickbox to allow them to confirm that the details are correct. However, using the prefill form links I am only able to get these as editable sections. I don't want users to be able to edit the prefilled entries but rather to just verify or not verify them as correct. Any pointers on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Hi, I'm facing an Issue with importing data into Airtable. I have date prepared in Google Sheets which I'm trying to import in 4 diffrent ways: just copying the range (data table) and pasting it, exporting the .csv file and trying to import it, exporting the .xlsx file and trying to import it and also via Google Sheet connection. I have tried diffrent types of date formats in Airtable. In all cases importing dates appear one day before the date, so that once I have the date (screenshot from Google sheets): TestDate2025-01-15while importing it appears to be (screenshot from Airtable): Has anyone faced such issue? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Patryk
I have a base with several tables and lots of linked records between the tables. It has become necessary for various reasons to move one of those tables to its own base.Is there a way to move that table to its own base while preserving all the linked records to the other original base? I'm struggling to find a good example or guidance how to approach that.thanks!
We assign employees (N=65) to Job Type (N=5) and Job Title (N=many) every six months. Before we begin, we know the employees and the job titles. There are two phases: assignments and distribution.Assignment:I assign individual employees to individual job types and titles.Distribution:Employees get sent a list of their job assignments for the work period. We need to:Make sure that every employee has a job type and title.Make sure that every job title has an employee. What is the best set up for this kind of task? Is it just one big table? is it two tables (employees, jobs)?I FEEL like this is a job for linked records, but no matter how hard I try, I can't figure it out--I've been doing this on a spreadsheet but there's gotta be a better way (particularly because I have to do this twice per year).-Scott
Hello all, I need your brilliant brains!I am new to Airtable and I am hoping to create a base to rule them all, so to speak. Basically, I am a small biz owner and a single mum with ADHD and I am just drowning right now and I need to turn things around and manage my time a bit better and I'm hoping Airtable can (and you) can help! I am thinking I'd like a base that I can use to map out my capacity in regards to the projects and tasks I have and sort of timeblocking my day. I'd love to be able to have time spent on tasks adding up so I can see when I am approaching the capped amount and/or when I have gone over. I want to be able to plan a weeks worth of tasks for the business, allocate to my subcontractor and reshuffle tasks around because, life happens. I would love to have a simple interface where I can view all of the data.I'd also like to have a base for each of my projects so that I can report back to the client about what has been acheived, what is outstanding, hours worked e
Hello,Is there a way to change the time format from a 12-hour to a 24-hour time format for the timeline view (as well as the interface element)? The calendar view seems to do it automatically, however, I can't find a setting or any info on the support pages. The columns are formatted as 24 hr.
Hi guys, On my [Revenue] table, I'm trying to compute the expected revenue that I'll get from a client. The client processes payments twice a month after the work sessions are completed. We have struck a deal that spans multiple payment periods. To this end, on my [Revenue] table, I'm trying to set a dynamic filter on a lookup of the `Sessions` field, which is itself a lookup on the [Deals] table. I want the `Sessions` field on the [Revenue] table to display only the sessions – hourly sessions or weekly sprints – that ended after the `Work Period Start Date` and before the `Work Period End Date`. This would then allow me to sum the compensation due for each session within this work period with a rollup. The thing is, it seems I can't set up a dynamic filter on a lookup. Do you guys confirm? If so, which workaround would you suggest? Thanks for your help.
I have a database for our retail stores. The main table's first column is a formula that combines the store's name and the store's number with a " – " in between. For example, "1234 – Joe's Discount Hardware".I need to import data from a report that only has store numbers. I know could use the CSV Import extension by setting it to merge with existing records and set the merge field to the store's number. However, where I really need it imported is into another table in this base. This is where my roadblock is: Since the linked store identifiers are "1234 – Joe's Discount Hardware" but the report's identifiers are "1234", is there a way for me to link them?I did try bringing in a lookup field that show's the linked store's store number. But it can't use the lookup field as an identifier. Then I thought I'd found an answer by making the table's first column be =storeNumber. However, when I tell the extension to merge with existing records using storeNumber as the merge fiel
I have a base with a field "Company" that is a linked record.Ultimately, I want to pre-fill my form with all values inc Company.First, how can one pre-fill a Linked record field? Seems like it isn't possible.Second, even if it is possible, how can I allow the creation of a new such Linked record from the form?
Hi Airtable Community, I have the following problem:I have a Projects table with columns Assigned Budget 25, Assigned Budget 26 etc.I also have a table “Orders” which is linked to the project table. This means that several purchase orders can be assigned to one project. Each purchase order is also linked to table 3 Financial budget. So there are projects that can have several financial budgets. Each project can have different purchase orders which can also run on different financial budgets. However, the projects are not directly linked to the financial budget.Projects to Orders (1 to n)Orders to financial budgets (1 to 1)Now I would like to have the sum of all assigned budgets for each calendar year in the Financial budgets table. So I need to somehow get the values from the Projects table into the Assigned Budget table.Any ideas? Thanks & bestMirko
Noob here. Frankly don't know where to start, and my mind is whirling with the results in the community, so let me describe what I'm going for.I've created a form that allows my community to report data in four areas for a health challenge: calories consumed, exercise calories, water consumption, and sleep hours. There's also the date and the person's name in the table. What I want my community to see is a summary of each of the four areas for the current month. I'll embed the view on a web page. Rollups, aggregations, linked records — I'm starting from square one in using Airtable and haven't figured out which and how to make this work. 'Lil help? Thanks!
Hi! New-ish to AirTable and very much appreciate your help and patience!I am trying to create a timeline or calendar view that displays all of our acting clients' working dates for every single film/TV project that our clients are/will be working on. For instance, I need a way to quickly view and edit the statement, "Charlie Chaplin is working on the film MODERN TIMES in NYC on 1/15-1/27, then 2/2, 2/7, 2/9, and again on 2/23-2/28." Additionally, I need to quickly display a client's working dates on a particular project to answer the question, "When is Charlie Chaplin available in Q1 and not filming MODERN TIMES?" The problem is that I do not love the idea of creating several different start and end date fields for individual days (ex: 2/2, 2/7, 2/9) and short date ranges (ex: 2/23 -2/28). It does not seem like I can just select all the the dates a client works on from the existing date field(s), it only allows me to create a range (start date and end date fields) vs at
Is there anyway to hide certain tables from certain collaborators? I’m using Airtable for my business and want to link financials to projects. I have employees who I want to update records on my projects but not have access to financial information or client information. Is there anyway to do that? If not, I cannot continue using Airtable in my business…
I have data from an outside program that essentially has 300 questions from form submissions as columns and the rows containing Yes, No or N/A answers. I need to organize this data in a way to be able to get totals for how many yes/no for each question and come up with percentages for how often something is a yes. Thank You

Okay I think this might be a tricky one but let me know if you have any answers. Here's the basic concept. I'm producing a summer concert series and I want to create a budget and expense tracker. I want have a couple things I'm trying to accomplish.First, I want to be able to create a budget and allocate an amount of the budget to a certain category (labor, rentals, food, etc.).Next, I want to be able to track how much we are spending on each of those categories for each show. (Show 1: $1,000 on labor, $5,000 on rentals, $150 on food, etc.)Then, I want to link those together. For example, I want the show totals for each major category to then update the overall season long budget (the first item). Ideally, there is an interface with three pages. One is the Overview dashboard which shows the total budget, total spend, and remaining total budget. It would also show each individual category with total budget, spend & remaining. The second page would be a page to edit the cat
Is there a way to give a user access to 1 base in a workspace, but not another? Thanks!
What I'm after *should* be easy. I have spreadsheets of information that I manage informally. The rows of each spreadsheet are records that would ought to filled & updated by outsiders. Obviously there's a limit to how much we can do via Google Spreadsheets -- I can't assign ownership to each row. So it seems like this is where people upgrade to AirTable. So here's the things I need, beyond what I see in the demo tool:It's a fair assumption that the first row is the field name. The second row is my description / help text. Can the import tool support that?Data is often never as primitive as we like. Is a map type supported? This could be edited through the form. I need to broker access to each row. I'd like to click on each row, "assign to group", and then email the owner of that group; they can then manage access for others who would update that row. How would they be charged? I imagine I should have to pay something for that access, but not $20/month, maybe $1.May
For a linked field, is there a way to limit record selection to a view based on the user?I have a Task table, with specific tasks for specific users.I have a Time table, where a user selects the taskDepending on who the user is, I want the only the tasks meant to be available. The only way I've been able to figure it out is to create multiple linked Task fields in the Time table. Not ideal. Thanks, David
From my research, I think the answer to this question is, "it can't be done", but I'm hoping I'm missing something. My base has 3 tables:Waiting List - this is the "main" table, listing the people on the waiting list.Events - defines the events for which people may be waitlisted.Site Types - lists the possible site types that could be available to a person on the waiting list. Here's a highly simplified version of the base that illustrates the setup. Each record in the Waiting List table is linked to a single Event Name record in the Events table. Each record in the Events table is linked to one or more Site Types in the Site Types table. This link field defines the subset of Site Types that are available for that particular Event. This data is repeated as "Available Site Types" in the Waiting List table via a lookup field (if it's needed). As I have it set up, one Site Type record can be linked to multiple different Event records, but that's not mandatory--if it helped solve the problem,
I am trying to create a way for people to subscribe to a newsletter. The first form allows them to put in their name and email address. It works fine. I set a field called "Status" to Unconfirmed (as Single select type).I will then have an automation that will email them a link to a form update (with the record_id() etc). I want the form to just have the Submit button (in which I change the label to "Confirm Email". I can have the Status field on their for them to select "Confirmed", but I'd rather it be passed in, hidden and changed to "Confirmed", so when they submit the form the status gets set to "Confirmed".So I have the edit form (in fillout), I created the URL id of Status, and I set the formula to "https://forms.fillout.com/t/rBuRDxxxxus?Status=Confirmed&id=" & RECORD_ID()But every time the form gets called, the original value from airtable (which is Unconfirmed) stays there, and it doesn't get updated to Confirmed. Does the pre-fill thi
