Hi community, I'm wondering whether syncing attachments from one base to another will take up space in both or only accounts for the origin base? Is it the same of data library sets? Thanks!

Is there a way to make a timeline's summary bar display different values over a given object's duration? I'm trying to make a map of the effort levels for various projects to forecast my team's workload at a given time (not using utilization because I'm assigning to users instead of a user-entity table). Each item on the timeline is a project, happening from a start date to an end date, with an effort level associated with it. The timeline is grouped by the user assigned to the project, and I've set up the summary bar to sum the effort levels so I can see how much total workload a team member has. However, the projects don't actually take the same amount of effort the whole way through - the second half of the project is a lot easier, so having the same effort value throughout the project's duration makes it look like the 2nd half is harder than it actually is. I'd like to program the summary bar to do something like "first half of project = full effort value, 2nd half of project

I’d like to link a record in one workspace table to a record in another workspace table. Is this possible?

I’m currently facing a challenge with syncing publish dates across different Airtable tables and bases and am looking for some guidance or a potential workaround.Here's a breakdown of my workflow:- I have two Airtable bases: "Marketing Campaigns" and "Content Marketing"; Campaign Managers work out of the "Marketing Campaigns", the content team works out of "Content Marketing"- When a Campaign Manager adds a new campaign that includes "Blog" as one of their tactics, that "Blog" record is added to a view in "Marketing Campaigns" called "Blogs in Development"- The "Blogs in Development" view in the "Marketing Campaigns" base is the source, and syncs to a "Blogs in Development table in the "Content Marketing" base - These records are then automatically added to another table called "Content in Progress" through an automation; this "Content in Progress" table is the content team's workflow/project tracker for all things content marketing- I don't sync directly to the "Content in Progre

I have 3 tables - meals, dishes and ingredients.use case: Users should be able to add new dishes and meals through a form. A meal is a combination of 1 or more dishes. Each dish comprises of many ingredients (note ingredients is a separate table)So in a form submission, the user should be able to do two things:1. Add a new dish including its ingredients (note ingredients is a separate table so should be stored appropriately)2. In a long text field is there a way to create a global entry text for some headings so that whenever I want to enter new content i don't have to enter the headings as well?  For example, the headings I use are:VOA ITZAVOA Total sqftML ITZAML Total sqftLA ITZATA ITZA   

I'm trying to build a database comparing similar products and their features. I have a Product table and a Feature table. On the product record I can select the features that particular product has (link to external record, allow linking to multiple records). How would I create a grid-type view that looks something like what's below? I can only seem to get it to show as a single field with a list of linked records. 

This is my first post to the Airtable community.  I have searched through lots of posts about linking records and tables, but I can't seem to find an answer to this...I have two imported tables that have a StudentID field in each.  When I edit the StudentID field in one Table to change the field type to "link to another record", Airtable deletes all the StudentIDs in the table I am working in.  I am attempting to create a linkage between these tables because I want to know if a student in Table 1 is also in Table 2 (and the student may be in Table 2 multiple times, however I just want to know if the student is in the table...I don't care how many times).   Can someone help me figure out what I am missing?  Many thanks, in advance, for your assistance with this issue!My apologies if this problem has already been solved elsewhere, I just couldn't find it.

Hello, I'm new to airtable but absolutely love the potential! I've set up a Social Media Marketing Calendar that my VA and I have access to for writing, scheduling, and planning Instagram/Facebook content. The trouble I'm having is within the same base, I'd like to have a master Calendar for all of my marketing channels. I want a calendar for my email list, a calendar for my planned blogs, and a calendar for my Youtube Content. With all of these calendars I want a Master Calendar for all of my marketing efforts that pulls in all of the sources into one calendar so I can make sure it syncs has a cohesive message. I don't want to gunk up the Social Media Calendar with my other platforms because it could get overwhelming with my VA who only works on Instagram/Facebook. I'm sure it's user error because I'm new to this, but can anyone give me guidance on how to pull information from each of my calendars (Blogs, Emails, Social Media) into one master calendar that I can color c

Hi everyone,I'm looking to create a use case catalog to help me define the functional requirements of my clients, such as data and system integration.The catalog should include a unique identifier for each use case category and allow me to choose which categories to include in a report and which to exclude, depending on the client's needs.The ultimate goal is to create an environment for the client to experiment with the use cases and required functionality without exposing them to the full repository of use cases and their categories.The goal is to eventually generate summary insights through a dashboard/summary table that shows the use cases by data or integration slices.Has anyone come across a solution like this? Hi all, I am using Airtables to set up my cost database for my cafe.For each dish, the items can come from 2 sources. 1 -  A raw material table - i.e. chicken, eggs, which i have already listed it's unit cost. 2 - From a Prep material - i.e. like pasta sauce which we make in house. This table, I've already calculated the cost per portion for each item (making reference to items in table 1) Now to build a recipe, I need to pick items from both table 1 & table 2.   I am not sure if this is possible to have a selection field that reads from 2 table.  or I need another way around it? Thanks!

I have a synced table which I would like to not sync anymore, but I want to keep all the data currently in it.  I know I can just duplicate it, but that would mean I lose my interfaces and automations.  Anyone know if there's any easy way to turn a synced table into just a regular table?

We have SKU's that are bundles and comprise of a combination of other SKU's.So an SKU can be sold individually and also be sold in a bundle.Example -SKU-1 is a bundle comprising of SKU-2 X 1 unit, SKU-3 x 1 unit and SKU-4 x 2 units.We will be pushing sales data into Airtable that will give us monthly sales by skuWe would like to see sales data of all SKUS by accounting for the components in each bundle.Sample base here.Products Table lists all products. Any SKU which is a bundle is marked as a bundleSales Table shows the sales for each SKU by monthBundle table shows all components of each Bundle and the quantity of each component in the bundle.(Multiple bundles can have the same SKU)So SKU-2 should show it's individual sales as a product (31 in June) + it's sales as a component of SKU-1 (12 in June)In the same way SKU-4 would show 76 + 12 X 2 ( as SKU-1 consists of 2 units of SKU-4)How could we approach this please?

Hello, I have a primary field that is a number field that contains sequential invoice numbers. I would like to know if that number field can be converted to an autonumber field that starts at and continues the sequential numbers. It seems silly to have to keep track of the sequence when a computer can do it.Thanks, Scott

Hi.I have three tables: Teachers - in which all our teachers are listedMeetings - in which they upload their meeting notes with studentsGroup Reporting - in which they group and report meeting, but I'd like to make in easier on them and have the pop up that loads all the "meetings" only load the ones that have be done by the selected teacher. if possible also exclude the ones that already have been grouped and reported. How is this possible? does it mater that we are using the free plan? Also. Teachers aren't "user" they are records in the first table, and all this is done using forms. Thanks,Tomer

Hello! Very new here, so bare with me.I have a table of employees. One of the fields in the table is which states the employee is licensed in.I then have tables for each state. In those tables, I would like the names of employees licensed in that state. I will then use tables to keep track of state-specific details, like license number in that state. I'm wondering how I can make it so that if I add an employee record, and then add a state to the state field, that employee also gets added to that state's table.Thanks so much!

Hi there, I've done a bunch of research here and on Youtube and I've not been able to replicate what I see here. I have Project and Tasks tables. I've created a template in the Projects table that adds a few tasks And it works - I get the tasks created, when I apply the template to a new project. However, I'd like to add the Project Name to the tasks that are created. I found an example of this in Airtable's docshttps://support.airtable.com/docs/using-record-templates-in-airtableThe Tasks in the far right column shows the Project name in parenthesis.But I cannot replicate this - how do I make this happen?Desired ResultProject = Project ATasks = Task 1 - Project A, Task 2 - Project AThanks so much for your help

I have several bases that I have removed nearly all the data and they still show as reaching plan limits or over limits. Even when I duplicated them and remove ALL THE DATA from the base it shows as over limits.This is making my DB's unusable and I can not upgrade not knowing how or why an empty data base can be showing as hitting limits.Or when I remove 90% of the data in a base that we have been using for two years that barely had 300 rows is constantly hitting limits and not being able to determine which limits we are hitting so we can manage the data and ensure we are being efficient. 

I own and operate a cleaning business. I have created a base that lists all the locations and the scheduled dates and times. I also created fields that show the day of the week by both number 0-6 or the actual name Monday, Tues, etc. I recreated the Employee scheduling base within my base so I could easily relate bookings with cleaners. So the employee table shows what days of the week the cleaner is available. I created a field on the booking table to be able to select cleaners to assign to the job and I included a lookup field to be able to compare the available days to the service day. So far the availability is only by day not by specific time ranges but if I need to expand it for days and times I can look into that.I can do basic automations and basic formulas so I am sure that this can be done but it is out of my skill level. Is there a way for me to be able to have the program give me a list of cleaners that are available that day of the week and not scheduled on another booking

Hello, I make my aplication on Grist but when I use it more it makes me more trouble. I wonder if I can make that tables in Airtable.I want to have tables with contacts, products, transport companies.Then I want to have sections with years - when I click for year I see table with months and every mont have table with transport my goods. (that table with goods will also have widget (document) I can print and use as delivery document for driver.Then I want to have summary table that will show me costs for transport on every month.Regards.

Hi all,I have a form where people put in their availability for a series of events. Their options pull from a table with all available event slots. I would like, on a that "all available slots" table, for all available people's names to show up automatically, so I can see everyone who is available for that particular day/time without having to manually fill in my options myself. Is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance!
