Base Design

I have an one base with about 30 tables. Majority of these tables are all surveys we have to send out regularly but the questions are all slightly different. Any ideas for consolidating all these forms? Having all 100+ questions from all of them combined into one table might just make it super cumbersome anytime we need to make a new form won’t it? Not sure the best and most efficient way to tackle this one

If you have a table, Table B, which is linked to Table A which has Project Name. Is there a way to update Table B with any new project specified in Table A?  

I have a base with three tables, Clients, Cases, and Case Approval. So far I have it set up so that as soon as a case in the "Cases" table has it's status changed to "Pending Approval" it will create a record in the "Case Approval" table. At this point I was hoping I could send an automated email to the client with the Airtable Record URL so they could open it and approve or reject the design. 1. Is this the best way to automate approvals? 2. Is there a way to accomplish approvals without the client needing an Airtable account? 

For me, something is broken with image attachments. I tried different browsers ,some browsers no possible to attach image, whether URL or copy past, and even the button to add image doesn't work. The other browser it works, but when I copy the URL, it will split into 2 attachments, one being non-descript "image.jpg" attachment (although I am copying from another field so it has already airtable specific string name) and another file which is basically the name of the attachment but the 2nd file is zero bytes so it shows error uploading. When copying the whole image, the copied image name gets a strange name "convert.jpg". So all copied images regardless of how many I copy are called in the new attachment field same name "convert.jpg" or "image.jpg" depending on whether I copy past the image or the url.

I have a base for my Dispatching business and i deal with brokerages that have different reps. I got a Brokerage Table and Contacts table for each individual rep and i link them to their particular Brokerage. I have another table where i keep Trips table but i want to know is their a way to bring in a field where i can search inside the linked records of the individual Brokerage?

Hello, Is anyone else experiencing this? I have been paying close attention to the new updates to airtable as I waiting a promised feature to be implemented. However, I've noticed for the past few months that what is being advertised as new implemented features are not actually available on my app or even online? Understandably, this is becoming quite frustrating there are features I have been trying to implement but they just don't seem to exist on my end. Is there something I am missing? Do I have to hit an "Update Airtable" button? if so, where is it??I am missing all features from March, April and a few from February. I am using the Pro plan on both app and online. Thank You.  

I am looking at a way to move from excel and found airtable.  I am wanting to make a table that has my clients and their information and then a table that has amount due amount paid and a balance.  I made these to tables but need a way to add the amount due ongoing weekly.  Like week of April 3rd and week of April 10th and so on and then an amount for each week.  Then when they make their payment, I can put it in and it will give a balance for that client.  I also want it to where I can give them a printout of what they owe and what they have paid. Thanks in advance am doing this in excel but feel like a database will be better option moving forward is this idea possible?

For that reason, I would like to hide (or edit) the "created by" user info that shows up when you mouseover a view title in a shared view:Is it possible to hide this information???Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello. i would like to see where i can get some templates for a business directory. Once i choose a template and set it up, i would like to post a link to it in a group im in and have other members of the group be able to add themselves to this directory. What plan do i need to have to make this happen and how do i go about setting it up and does the person doing the inputing to my directory need to have a airtable account? Thanks

I have two tables - Table - 1 and Table - 2. Table - 2 fetches (lookup) values from Table - 1 based on the selection.Table - 1 has manager details for various teams, and Table - 2 has multiple projects. Now the managers keep changing for teams over the years (but the team remains constant), and in Table - 2, I want to select the team name, and it should fetch (lookup) the manager details. But when I update the manager name in Table 1, it automatically changes the above records' lookup values to the current manager name. How can I keep the old manager details associated with the old project name?

I created a grid and then wanted to use that but to modify so I didn't had to retype. Ideally I wanted it in a new tab but I couldn't figure out how so I duplicated the grid and started to modify but when I did that it's affecting the initial grid and changing things there too. Can I either move one grid to a separate tab or somehow unlink the grids in the same tab? I don't want to retype everything. Thanks everyone who might have an idea. 

Hi there, I'm trying to create an invoicing base. All the examples I've seen include establishing products or services with a set price in an Items or Services table. In my case, each invoice item is always unique. I never sell 2 of the same thing for the same price. So I'm not sure how to set up my invoice table so that I can insert multiple line items to the same invoice if they are not drawing from a preset table. Does anyone have an example like that to share?

I'm struggling to figure out a solution for scaling views.  I currently have a view for each of our districts (which gives me approximately 90 views). They all have identical data/fields with a filter to only see the pieces tagged in that district.  I set these up as views specifically because I need the shareable URL for users viewing that don't have an account. I am using that URL in some email automations - use case, district updates. So each month, an automated email to that manager saying "here's your highlights" (all dynamic fields) with a link to "view your detailed breakdown here" (dynamic field to insert the URL of their view).    Hopefully this makes sense so far.  My problem

Hello all --I am having a challenge bringing in data from a lookup field.  We have a table that lists incoming deliveries as each row.  There is a column labeled "tags" in this table that where we want to show tags from another table (product details) that the delivery table is linked to.  The challenge is that while each delivery is unique, the products associated with the delivery are not.  What seems to be happening is that the first instance of the product name (which is how the lookup is working) is returning the tags but not for all instances.  Is there a way to override this?  Thanks,Justin

Hi. I have simple example to explain my question. I have linked two tables with a multi-select field: Books and Authors. For every Authors I can select many Books that the Author has wrote. And for every Book I can select many Authors that have wrote that book. A Book is wrote in a language and the Authors know only one language Question: how to filter the select-list with only those Authors that use the language of the Book if I want to associate correctly the Authors with the Books based on the language? Hello!For our organization, I'm working on a view/interface to track changes to lists of content over time. We "merchandise" our content for users in sequential order; e.g. Row 1 of content contains Title A in Position 1, Title B in Position 2, etc... Each of our titles has a custom numerical ID, e.g. 10339894. We frequently make changes to the order of titles in each list, based on user engagement with each piece of content. I'm looking for a way to build an interface or view that will easily track these changes over time. It also has to serve a dual purpose and be easily updatable – ideally, members of our organization could simply drop in the new order of titles in the existing table, date them, and be able to compare them to past iterations. As such, I'd like all permutations of titles and lists in one easy-to-wield table.For now I've set up the records and fields as such. We are driving to develop a new base specifically for our marketing team that is strictly for photos/attachments relating to records in our main base . Our current idea is to have a synced base that has a form where content can be uploaded, creating a new record in the synced base and then linking to the record from our main base. The only issue is that Airtable says theres a 1TB limit to attachments. Does anyone have any experience with navigating around this limit or is there a better solution within Airtable or outside of Airtable?Thank you!

Hi, I'm building a simple CRM for a dog walker who offers walks in 10-packs. I'm getting confused with how to track these 10-packs.My first thought was to create a Walks table with 10 columns (Walk1, Walk2, ..., Walk10) and the date of each walk would be populated as it happens and there would be a formula field to count how many of those columns had been populated so we know how many walks have been completed. But the dog walker herself is not very techy, and to avoid her having to go into the base, I'd like if she could use a form to simply select the dog's name and write in the date of the walk. I have an Owners table and a Dogs table, and I know how to create a form where she can select which dog it is from a drop-down, but I'm getting stuck with where/how the walk dates should be stored. I want to keep track of the time when the external company changes the status to either "NMI" or "Approved" by logging a time stamp. However, there are scenarios where if the job pack may be rejected (NMI) and then resubmitted after being updated. In this instance the status would change back to Awaiting review before the external company makes an update. I am trying to set up a database of past video shoots, including who worked on them and what position they worked as. I have a table of people, a table of positions (director, cinematographer, producer, audio, makeup, etc), and a table of projects. The issue I'm running into is that our team often juggles positions, so John may be the director one day, and producer the next. Sue may be doing makeup, and then audio another day. (I admit it's chaotic and we're working to nail down positions... Part of why I specified that this is a database of past video shoots!)So, simply linking the people and projects tables doesn't work, because that doesn't say what position each person worked as. I could add individual fields to the projects table for each position and select the director, the producer, the audio tech, etc, but that seems clunky and would make it hard to simply view a list of who was on the shoot.The solution I've found is to create 

Is it possible to create a link/shortcut on the iPhone desktop to a specific table? This would save time as two steps become obsolete: A) scrolling down for the right table once the Airtable App has been clicked. B) Clicking On the Table

My goal is to combine 2 data tables into one, and then get a single output sum value for each "agent" within the respective table. Right now, when I combine the tables and syncing, I am getting limited or no data to transfer across. The goal would be to have agents from each agency on one table, and then that table can do a weekly or monthly sum total for each field. Here I have a demo agency and demo agency copy with everyone2 for differentiation. I am open to ideas and options.Just feeling like I am trying to drive a nail with a screwdriver on this one.
