Hey community, I am planning to do an integration with Airtable for our analytics software, but I can’t really retrieve column stats without using metadata API, or is there any other workarounds that I am not aware of? Hello :slightly_smiling_face: I am interested in hiring a consultant to create this flow. I have two bases, Base “A” and Base “B”. In base A I have records that include documents in the attachment field. There can be more than one document in the same attachment field. I want to accomplish that when a new document is uploaded in Base A, a new record is created in Base B including the document that has been uploaded in Base A. This would result in having a new record in Base B, each time there is a new document uploaded in Base A. Looking forward to your response. Thank you, Pjero

A recurring question on the forum is how to change item pricing without corrupting existing data. With the Product Catalog & Orders base in Airtable templates, for instance, changing an item price changes the price shown in current and fulfilled orders – not necessarily what one wants should a refund be required. I made a quick-and-dirty mod of the Product Catalog and Orders base to make use of price schedules. This allows items to be repriced going forward while leaving existing data unchanged. To provide this functionality, I added the [Price Schedule] table; added two fields and modified a third in the [Furniture] table; and added two fields and modified a third in [Order Line Items]. It should be easy to find the little I changed: Any field with a description is one I added or modified, and the description explains why.

Hi, we are looking for help setting up an Airtable system that can help automate our workflow. Some of the tasks would help assign contractors to projects. Coming up with a system for our contractors to send in invoices, simplifying an invoice and payroll system, and moving a project through several different people and assignments.

I spent a long time trying to figure a solution to this need, so now that I found something that works, I want to share it with other users. I don’t know scripting, but I can copy/paste other’s code. So here’s a non-technical solution to automatically deleting duplicates/deleting records using automations and scripts. In this case, I wanted to delete the oldest record, since the newest record is going to be the most up-to-date. Step 1. Mark duplicates: Create an automation that triggers when a new record is created. Then use the mark duplicate script provided by AirTable. Step 2. Separate the older duplicate records: Create a view that filters by duplicate status and date of record creation. In this case, I filter by Duplicate? = “yes” (or however you set up the previous step) and record creation date “is not” “today”. That way only the older dup

I ran into a very interesting situation regarding a fairly complex multi-step Automation: One of the Action steps would not reliably execute properly. Turned out to be a timing problem for which I came up with a solution. Here is the situation: I have a first table ‘DC’ [Data Collector]; I have another table ‘RI’ [Reference Information]; and finally a ‘DD’ [Data Destination] table. I built an Automation, A1, triggered on new information arriving in table DC. The purpose of A1 is to analyze the incoming information, Look Up information in table RI, and then based on the results from RI, create a link to a specific record in table DD. But when Automation A1 executed, it would not reliably generate the Link. Big Problem. After way too much troubleshooting I finally realized that the problem seemed to be that the Lookup steps took too long to complete, and the Automation blasted right ahead to the Link step before the needed information had materialized from the the
