I’m testing out making a few of my scripts available on my Gumroad Store. These scripts currently have a “Pay What You Want” pricing model, so you can get them for free if you like. Duplicate Record including Linked Records: Duplicate records, including making duplicates of linked records. The “Pay What You Want” version is minified code (not human editable), but the full editable version is available for a premium. Here are links to the script and video demo. Email automation helper scripts: These are small scripts to be used with email automations that follow a “Find records” action. One script helps you send an email to a different email address if there are no records. The other script calculates a sum for a field value in the found records. Both small scripts are fully editable and commented to help both no-coders and the code-curious understand the code. Here are links to the script and video demo Happy Coding!
We created an open-source project that you can clone and build off of to add a custom Airtable dashboard to your website: You can clone the repo and start customizing right away. This project uses Next.js, ChartJS, and Sequin to quickly display metrics on a website. You’ll see some revenue metrics in there from Stripe, but you can remove those if you’d prefer. At the very least, we hope it can be an example to get you going :slightly_smiling_face: GitHub GitHub - sequin-io/open: Add an open page to your website in a few minutes. We have rolled out a number of new updates this week we would love to share with you. :busts_in_silhouette: User Dashboard Redesign We have completely redesigned the ‘users’ tab as part of our ongoing studio 2.0 redesign. It includes a number of user experience improvements centred around adding users and managing users within your application. We have also added the ability to send an email invite to new users added to your application. :closed_lock_with_key: Google only Sign-up/Sign-in Block We’ve supported Google Sign-up and Sign-in for a while now, however, starting today we have a dedicated new block for those of you who only want Google as an authentication option for your application. :yellow_circle: Roadmap Template This week we have a new template on the block, say hello to Roadly, the new roadmap template. Some of you may have already noticed a similar page on our website where we share our pu
Hello! I am looking to build out a workflow for the below use case for my company: I am building a list of potential prospects. I also have an Affinity account where I manage relationships with different prospects who might appear on the list. Steps I want to be able to take: Enter new contact name in Airtable list Auto-populate a column beside that contact name with information about any pre-existing relationship with that contact (ie. if others at my firm have connected with them, if others in my Affinity contact list know them, etc.) I am open to workaround to this solution (ie. pulling data from LinkedIn relationships rather than Affinity) but pulling relationship information from Affinity would be ideal. Thanks!

Recently, a member contacted me directly asking for help … I am have been searching desperately to find a clean way to break apart an address like this… 123 anywhere st, San Diego, CA, 90001 Unfortunately, there is no “clean” way to do this without a Split() method as described in detail here. And rather than jumping to the end by showing a unified working formula (that even I would be unable to read), I approached this question by providing a framework for tackling almost any parsing challenges. Without Split() we are forced to fabricate rather complex formulas and like many of you, my brain is incapable of juggling a lot of string pointers to create that perfect [single] formula. And therein lay the issue - we often assume we must build a single formula from the beginning. This is neither necessary nor likely to be helpful. Sure, you want to use the fewest number of fields and create concise formulas for simplicity. However, there’s plenty of time to polish the code once you have s
Hello, i am new here and unfortunately not able to program. I would like to have a quotation from someone who is good at airtable to solve this issues: monthly order taking order export to supplier packing list insert by supplier notifications I have a privately designed app but the functionalities i see in airtable are much more advanced and my goal would be to substitute my actual with a “airtable” based one. Is anybody willing to help me? Thank you
Hello, I am new to airtable and would like to explore hiring a consultant to help on set up some automations and integrations for a startup company. We are currently working within the product catalog template, and have set up our products, vendors, etc. but now need help with the next few steps to make everything come full circle. -set up the page designer to create custom invoices that automatically populate from our orders, have the PDF integrate back into our client orders page, and automatically send them emails with their invoice PDF’s. -Automation within selections of items – where product selection and selected information would appear in a PDF/tear sheet with specifics (thumbnails, links, price, dimensions, etc.) Automations with a survey platform – we are currently using survey planet, and can only see how it is manually integrated. Creating and organizing a client database, with all of their information and files. Looking forward to getting some guidance here so we can get
Looking to create several new fields, likely in a new table, including “most recent engagement date” which pulls the most recent date from multiple date fields in different tables (e.g. events, tasks & communications), and “most recent engagement content” which pulls the corresponding text field from the record that was pulled for the “most recent engagement date”. We are trying to create a report that includes these new fields, and I think we will need to create a new table to do this. Looking for an expert in reporting across tables or advice for where to find a consultant who can build this!
HI, We are a production company with around 10 employees looking to hire someone to com in and give our team training on Slack and Air table.
Hey Airtable community, It’s time for this weeks updates at Softr. We have rolled out a number of new updates this week we would love to share with you. :yellow_square: Kanban Board Block Starting from today our new Kanban block is available. With the Kanban block you can visualise your workflow in a board view with stacked cards and sync any changes across from Softr to Airtable. :straight_ruler: Horizontal List Details Block This new List Details block is centred around a horizontal layout. This new block is perfect for reducing the amount of scrolling and aligns your fields horizontally across a column of 3 instead of vertically. :mag_right: New Hidden Fields We have added two new hidden field types, including Page and Full Name. These field types allow the sending of hidden data that you can use to identify users and pass the data across to third-party tools or integrations. :art: Softr Design workshop We are running a 1-hour live webinar today - hosted by our in-house
Hey Everyone, Softr is doing a free design workshop on Oct 21. :tada: :bulb: We will outline the best practices when designing your Softr website or application, demo the design options within the Softr studio, design resources, tips and tricks and time for a Q&A at the end to answer any questions you might have. :bangbang: More details and registration form here: https://softrdesignworkshop.softr.app/
Right now, we currently use AirTable as our e-commerce product catalog. But we have hit some limitations with the current setup. For instance, in order to update pricing and other product attributes we utilize the import CSV app for every single table within each base that we have. Which can be very time-consuming. So… We are looking for the ability to upload the spreadsheet with the various attributes in it to an entire base thus updating all of the tables. Below is a Loom video, which depicts our current process and what we are looking for as our desired solution. We are looking to hire an expert for this project within the week. Looking forward to connecting with an expert soon!
Here’s a simple yet powerful base I built to manage a community books library. You can use it to manage the borrowing of any physical items - books, wheelchairs, tools, etc. It includes: Automatic reminder emails a week before the designated return date Automatic borrowing and return dates Automatic borrowing statuses Library dashboard Feel free to use and tweak it for your own purposes.
The sheer amount of whitespace in Airtable has always bugged me a little, so I’ve been making little edits to the stylesheet here and there to get more data on-screen. Below you’ll find some screenshots of what I’ve done and the code required to make it look that ugly. You can use something like the Stylus extension/plug-in to apply the CSS to Airtable. Note: I’ve come up with this code mostly through trial and error, so use at your own risk. (Let me know if something breaks spectacularly and I’ll try to help, but there’s a possibility I won’t be able to figure out what’s going on on your end.) Also, the actual structure of the HTML is changing all the time, so don’t be surprised if the code stops working suddenly. EDIT: fixed code line-wrapping In this first example, I’ve removed the row number and expand record button from the grid view – I’ve always found them superfluous. (There’s also a header hack that reduces the vertical space quite a lot and smushes everything together which
The Problem: A common workflow in Airtable is the gathering of Surveys or Forms, and often we want to link multiple surveys or forms submitted by the same person back to a single Contact record for that person. However, exposing Linked Record fields to do this in the public form itself is undesirable because we don’t want form users to see all the names of existing contacts in our base, and it also precludes form users that don’t yet exist in our Contacts table. This leaves us using manual processes to establish the link between a form submittal and a Contact, where the form user is just entering their name or email address. My Solution: I’ve written a script for the Scripting Block that aims to solve this problem and automatically establish links between submitted forms and existing contacts. In addition, this particular version also logs a survey/form submittal as an “Interaction” in the Interactions table. The Script in Use: Here’s a short video demo:
My client would like to integrate Airtable with a handful of services. Each service provides access to API. Flexible hours. Thanks Jake
Last week I launched my FREE (unofficial) Airtable manual in French, “Airtable à z”. It is mostly for novice users, but I tried to make it interesting even for people with good knowledge of our favorite no-code platform. Sorry if you don’t speak French  . The guide is 100% made with Airtable. The PDF was built with Page designer with the same layout for all the pages but 2… It was a bit of a challenge and I even made two versions, Landscape and Portrait (both on A4). I used Softr to build the website from the base. If you wonder why the hassle to make this manual it’s because there is no other supported language than English.
Hey Airtable community, It’s time for this weeks updates at Softr. We have rolled out a number of new updates this week we would love to share with you. :gear: Editing Table Blocks In addition to our recently released ability to edit List Details and List Blocks, starting from today you can now allow editing of Table Blocks :control_knobs: Conditional Chart Filters This new functionality allows you to apply specific conditions to your chart blocks. For example, say you want to show specific data in a chart block to a particular role you have defined within your application, allowing some users to see one set of data and the other another set. :yellow_square: New Blocks We are continuing to bring you more functionality and design layouts to take your Softr application to the next level. • Today we have launched a stunning new mosaic image blocks allow you to show multiple images in a beautiful new staggered layout. • Full-width image block which will take the entire width of th
With the upcoming upgrade tomorrow, now is a good time to think about your Airtable Backups Strategy. Of course, we all hope and expect the upgrade to go smoothly, but having a backup of your data outside of Airtable is always an Industry Best Practice. It’s an insurance piece of mind to know your have an external backup of your data in case of outages, accidental (or intentional) deletion of data/attachments, etc. Don’t worry if you’re not performing backups - you’re not alone! But today is the day to start. On2Air has you covered if you’re ready to start! For the fist 20 signups to our Backups solution, you can get a 20% off your initial subscription period (bigger savings on annual plan!) Check out the service: https://on2air.com/on2air-backups and on checkout use promo code: BACKUPNOW Oh and don’t forget to turn off any external automations (zapier, integromat, on2air, etc) you have running to avoid the error messages that will come while the Airtable database is down tomorrow!
We have an excel spreadsheet that we use to calculate pricing for customers. Our goal is to hire a consultant to develop a web enabled form that mimics the spreadsheet to add to our existing website as a self service option. Additionally, we need to add sign-on security so we identify the user and apply the correct pricing. The spreadsheet serves really well as a design template for our requirements. We will make ourselves available to collaborate on the business requirements.
We are looking to hire a consultant to help us set up a more complex workflow & automation. Here’s a brief synopsis of what we’re trying to do: We’ve started looking at how we can duplicate some of our client-specific views that we use for reporting purposes and we were wondering if there was a way to automate this duplication process. I believe that just using the duplicate option isn’t viable due to the formulas involved in each view and the different rollups required to set up the reporting view all need to be set up with it. We were curious if there was a way to automate this to where we can potentially set up and fill out a form and it automatically updates & creates the formulas with info that we input into the form, which would take this view duplication process from around 25 steps to just needing to fill out specific info into a form. Does anybody have expertise in this? Feel free to reach out to me here or at justin@famnetworks.com
Hi there, I’m part of a non-profit residential mindfulness center. We use notion and airtable for most of our systems including admissions, donation tracking, guest forms, and more. We’ve built it thus far in-house with a little bit of coding help. Looking to hire someone long term that can help with upgrading our systems including: Visual Dashboards to visualize our metrics (how many interest forms are we getting, tracking donation amounts, etc.) Custom links working with our Wordpress PayPal to create payment forms that will then automatically update AirTable record with paid and how much was paid Sending automated weekly reports of our various departments Financial Forecasting to track how we’re doing and more We’re pretty competent when it comes to making the tables and forms but the more advanced integrations and making it all into one system is a headache and would love some support for someone else to build it with us.
