Hey all, We’re a small company selling a very wide range of products with very shallow depth of inventory. We have buying / production / ops teams based in different locations, and they all need to be able to upload / access / update information regarding products, inventory, etc. In the past, because so many people have been involved with that buying data, we’ve had issues “baked in” so we’re looking at setting up Airtable to validate and verify data, and prevent mistakes from being created. We also use Shopify as our main inventory management system, but their IMS (Stocky) is very limited in terms of functions, and doesn’t really support inventory movements very well. Ideally, we’d like to set up an integration where Airtable holds all inventory, and records all inventory movements (deliveries, transfers, write offs, etc.), as well as uploads and updates Shopify products (inventory quantity, out of stock, new product uploads, etc.). I have a cool table that collects all the trade opportunities that i get. I can also do a calender view on it. the only thing i need to figure out is how to showcase the calendar view by points missed instead of event. Any ideas? I am using the free version so far.

I’m working on a Squarespace site right now for a friend, and they want to collect information on the site. Squarespace’s abilities with forms are better than nothing, but not by much. Luckily, I’ve already turned my friend into a huge fan of Airtable, so he’s excited that we can collect the data in Airtable. Squarespace gives you the ability to embed code in a page/post, so this is incredibly easy. They give you an example of embedding a Wufoo form, but you can use the exact same strategy to embed an Airtable form. Create your form in Airtable. Click the button to get the Embed code (use the adjust height checkbox to make the form look better). Create a Code block in your Squarespace page/post. Copy the form’s Embed code into your Code block.

When you want to build custom tools or websites on your Airtable data - then you’ll be using the Airtable API and almost certainly some JavaScript (in this case Node.js) to work with your data. Soon you will probably start asking questions like: How do I paginate through the Airtable REST API? How do I manage the 5 calls / second rate limit in Airtable’s API? How can I find specific records using filterBy? How do I use the API to return linked data from several tables? TL;DR - the answers were just as tedious to build as we thought. Part A – build one or more base(s) of 3rd party architectural product information (lighting and electrical equipment for commercial architectural projects) that we specify on a regular basis. This may have 10 to 20 data points for each entry. Part B – Create a template that allows my team to create a unique schedule for an individual project that will draw information from that master base. When we need to add something new, I want to add it into the project, but have that information propagate back into the master database also. we will have PDF files associated with each entry, but any PDF may be usable across several base data fields. ie product A has a PDF data sheet, and we carry 10 versions of that product in the master base, each entry needs to have that PDF tied to it. Initially, we should sync up on a zoom call for 15-20 minutes, I can demonstrate how we do this with Google Docs (and why it has serious faults). thanks Mark

Hello! We have recently created a base on Airtable to track the students our nonprofits serve. We also just added the Send SMS app so we could, for example, text all the students that hadn’t completed a particular milestone. We realized, however, that the app doesn’t support incoming messages. Airtable Support shared that it’s possible to get those messages back into Airtable either by using the public API or using an integration platform such as Zapier. We’re needing someone to help with this integration. Ideally, the outgoing and ingoing text messages could all be viewed by student record within Airtable. Additionally, we’ve created a few forms via Airtable and would like help switching the links out on our custom app. The previous forms were feeding into Salesforce which we were using before Airtable. I made this script which allows you to compare two lists based off a field value, then modify a checkbox when matches are found. My use case example: I create a custom list of contacts to email about a product by selecting a checkbox next to who I want to send to. I save this list of contacts as a view in Airtable by filtering where contacts have a ticked checkbox. I make another list of contacts to email about yet another product, however, I want to make sure that I’m not sending this to the previous contacts and their companies I sent to previously. In this case the script works as such: Table is my database Reference view is my first contact list view View to Modify is the second list I want to compare to the first Match field is the ‘Company’ field (string in airtable) - this could be anything Field to modify is the checkbox which is ticked for my second view Set cell as ‘unticked’ to remove the companies I have already contacted You can use this script to do anything however,

But in order to answer he has to go into our portal (we use miniextensions.com) log in, find the question and answer it. I had an idea in mind for a while now. I would like to create a “hub”, a repository of science-backed studies on a specific topic. If you’re familiar with this website, examine.com does exactly what I intend to do on a broader scale. While examine is not specific to one “niche” but rather gathered studies on specific supplements, I intend to do the same for diabetes and everything related to insulin resistance. Ideally, the project would contain a Home page with a search bar and illustrations all around, with part of the Homepage linking directly to subcategories like: studies repository for the tag « Cinnamon » studies repository for the tag « Metformin » studies repository for the tag « chromium » etc. I imagine I’ll have to create a database regrouping every study about the subject; Ideally, I’d crawl/scrape the URLs of the major databases publishing studies: Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Google scholar/NCBI, and the likes.
