Hi all, Been using Airtable since 2018 and keep discovering awesome things everyday. One of my other ventures is building apps with no code web database tools. One of the new Airtable tools I found recently is a service called table2site (posted here before) which allows you to build websites using Airtable as your CMS. I built a site called NoCodeStudio and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Right now it’s focused mainly on Knack and Tadabase, and web design tools, but I’m planning to add Airtable resources as well. I’ll just stick this here to get it out of the way… NoCodeStudio is a community oriented collection of resources, tools, tutorials, builders, and more - specifically for no-code web database apps like Knack and Tadabase. I’m looking at learning more about Airtable and using it for my small business. This platform seems promising however a sales rep from another company (Quick Base) had pointed out the following limitations of Airtable. Airtable Limitations (according to a Quick Base rep) Limited Data Set Support: Airtable has a data limit of 50,000 records (rows) that organizations can quickly outgrow. Basic User Permissions Means Weak Data Security: Airtable has a basic user permissions security model that allows anyone invited to a workspace to view all of the info in that workspace. In addition, anyone needing to add or modify records requires Editor access which includes the ability to change and delete tables and views that may be needed by other users Lack of Reporting: Airtable lacks the ability to create reports that can be shared with management and others. I’ve seen a few posts in recent weeks from people asking about how to get started with Airtable scripts (e.g. here and here). I think people are, rightly, seeing the scripting block as a powerful piece of functionality and for non-coders it can be a struggle to know where to start (I know from bitter experience!). Hello all, I’m looking for help on a particular project. It’s a visual directory of people/things/activities/relationships specific to a particular industry. I have a base in Airtable with tables setup… The 4 main tables are as follows: Person Company Project Relationship The idea is those 3 main entities (Person/Company/Project) all have relationships to each other… And that those relationships also carry data themselves. For example… Bill Gates (person) has a relationship to Microsoft (company)… but we also want to know the time range that relationship was valid (from, til), as well as the nature of the relationship (e.g. CEO). What I want is for this data to be available on a web portal with the ability to search the database and make queries. The queries could be simple: (e.g. “Show me all PEOPLE who work for MICROSOFT”), or they could be more complex (“Show me all PEOPLE who worked on WINDOWS (project) for MICROSOFT (company) between Jan 1, 1995 and Jan 1, 1999. I have an Airtable base, I have a website. How can I hook them together so that website visitors can search the databases?

I have a pretty simple database I use to make repair tickets. I receive the repair request via a form submission on our site and import it via Zapier. When I send each record field to the different shops to handle the repair, it takes about 4 pages of paper to print out. I essentially need to be able to reduce the amount of spacing between listed fields so it we can reduce the number of pages each shop has to print out. Anybody got experience with this? Hey all, So I am new here and totally new to word of airtable and databases, my knowledge ends at 10th grade excel. We are a bakery in Berlin, Germany trying to readjust to life after Corona. I came across Airtable but am too busy trying to run a bakery rather than trying to learn a whole new software. We are trying to get a database together, in which we can easily input new ingredients/suppliers/costings/recipes and link to our sales to manage our overhead better. Here is a list of things I am after. Ingredients and recipe costings (we reuse ingredients in our kitchen, bakery, retail space and online retail space, focus on zero waste) Easy recipe and costing generation forms intergration with pos (we use orderbird, cybake and shopify currently) production planning shift planning financial reporting. We are an alternative energy finance company in Dallas, TX that is reviewing Airtable to handle our (simple for now) database needs. In the short run I expect 1 base with 4-6 tables that focus on definable assets (with lat/lon coordinates), their links to a geographic area (counties or sections thereof), their owners, and then any contacts/CRM type stuff. I have built a prototype/sample myself, but am having trouble automating the links (writing the script defeated me for now). Could use immediate help for deciding, and this could turn into an ongoing gig. Local helpful (Dallas) but not required.

I use tags to highlight some characteristics of records in my table. In this dataset I want to highlight whenever I have a “Stale Deal” and/or a “New Customer.” I want to use multi-select options because they’re easy to filter and chart. However, I don’t want to manually tag each select option, because there’s a formulaic way I can assess these characteristics: ‘New Customer’ = Deal Count is one ‘Stale Deal’ = Time since last inquiry is > 30 days. I’ve tried to do this via a formula and isn’t pretty to write, read, filter, or chart by. So, why not replace that formula with a script? Works like a charm: Link to the base here. Hi everyone, I’ve a request, my situation is : I have a table with my customers database with name, phone number, etc. I attribute to each of them a partner. And I have a table for each partner. When a record has multiple date fields, sometimes you’d like to know which date is the earliest. In the below example, each record is a social post that has different live dates for different channels. I’d like to know the earliest live date across all three channels. Basically I want to use airtable to integrate the 2 worksheets of data (education business, data comprises student registration, payment, exam result and funding administration). Want to create a single data source for everyone in my company, and use airtable to display and data in a meaningful and productive way instead of relying on column view.

I’m not sure if what I’m trying to do is even possible with Airtable. But it needs to be as user friendly as possible because it will be used by employees of my company. I’m a service based company and I’ve been using Airtable to track work for various customers. Requirment 1 - Workorder To be able to fill out a form with relatively simple user experience. Ability to enter a lot of data into the form with a minimal interface (ability to hide fields until they are required would be ideal). Also data in the form must link to other tables and grab data from those tables. Also the form must be able to collect signatures. All on mobile. I tried out Fulcrum on a recommendation and it has everything I need for the form side, but not the data management or report side. So if you’re familiar with Fulcrum you may know what i have in mind. Currently all data is entered directly into the table and is a clunky experience at best. It’s a quiet Saturday in my office and while I should be working on a client’s project, I found myself intrigued reading the various responses to Airtable customer requests for help from consultants. Some of them had me chuckling and others were simply boring. A few even triggered yawns from time-to-time despite being hopped up on Black Rifle Coffee. This post is yet another tell, and no show. Just a few tips from an old dude who’s written about 41.8 million lines of code. I’m an analytics guy, so yeah - I pretty much know how many lines of code I’ve written since 1978. Being this old and this “seasoned” in the fine art of crafting software, I get away with saying stuff that might come off as crude or insensitive. But, my candour might also help you avoid some blind spots. Hello All, I am looking for a good article that explains what a Airtable base is? When I look at https://airtable.com/pricing Records per Base seems to be the main difference between Free, Plus and Pro? That leads to the question, what is a Base?

I have a a database in two formats, a complete one and one for public viewing with some private information hidden. I have three forms related to the databases that also need to be embedded on a website. Need some help, or direction to a tutorial that will give me some info on how to accomplish this.

I currently have all of the components on separate basic programs that I would like to integrate on AirTable, I understand somewhat but know that this platform is quite powerful if used correctly and need someone expert in all of the nuances in order to set up form the beginning in the correct way to maximize usage.
