I know it is possible to create custom Extensions and publish them to the marketplace. I was not able to find any information on developing third-party actions for Automations.For example, there is a list of integrations:Can I develop a new one for a third-party system? I'm looking for a way to develop and publish it globally for other users to consume. I'm a part of a product company and we want to give Airtable users option to integrate through Automations. 

Hi! I have recently discovered OpenApi and I am working on a project that requires me to translate text from English to French. I used scripting extension. The script fetches the translation from OpenApi and outputs it to “Translated field”. For some records, Everything seems to work fine. However, for other records the translation doesn’t always work and sometimes it outputs incomplete sentences or random links. Is this because of my script or is the OpenApi random? Hey there!I am very new to Airtable. I wanted to connect PowerAutomate to Airtable. I want to use Airtable as alternative to Google Sheets. I created a token in the settings, used the table and base ID (pulled it out of the link like described in the Airtable Documentary) to configure the PowerAutomate step. Then I got a connection prompt asking for the API and a Name. I entered the token I created in https://airtable.com/create/tokens/new and then, tested the flow. Everytime I did that I got the Error: "Authentication required". I thought maybe its because airtable wants to remove API's completely but I am pretty sure I am just doing something simple totally wrong. How do I have to do it right? Best Regards

Does the web api offer a way to get a field's type?  It seems like the record endpoint  does not this information. I've been looking for a while but cannot seem to find it. Am I missing something?

Hello beautiful people.I have a table with 100 kids channels maybe more in future. as we have different territories we push our channels to, we needed to shuffle those channels according to the territory. so manual adjust is needed. The main request here is : to be able to change a channel order Manually like I wanted Tigilli channel to be No 1 instead of 5. Now I have Smurfs TV as 1 , it should update to no 2 and Disney Plus channel is there is No 2 , it should update to No 3 and goes on till the end of list.As Logic : when I change the order value in a #Order field what should happens is all other higher values including the same older value that i have changed should update (+1) the numbers order sequentially according to that to still give me 100 channels with the new order. Hi guysWe’re searching for solutions to connect h5p to airtable/ softr. It’s a platform with gamification-tools for education and it’s easy to embed this, but then we loose the possibility for reporting the results (for example in interactive videos or crossword). We see at the moment the following solutions, but from scratch we’ve no idea how to solve:A) hoping for an integration;)B) integrate it in airtable/ softrC) using active directory and only link the h5p site in the backgroundThank you for your ideas.

Hi, I'm a little lost with where to start looking for a simple tool that allows me to create a permission-based API on top of my Airtable data.I'm looking to enable an external collaborator to request the availability of a certain set of products. For that I would like to limit the user to1. Read only access2. A set of records via a view or filter3. A set of fieldsThis is a small scale experiment and I would prefer a quick to setup and free solution.I have looked at nocodeapi.com, which looks great but it doesn't appear to support the permissions I'm looking for.Thank you! 

I am trying to use AirTable to initiate via automation and a script action to make Twilio call and message our clients.Essentially this is going to be built out in Twilio Studio.  But i am trying to figure out how to implement this code to send all the correct fields.  I am not a coder, and I wanted to pursue this over using Zapier or Make to save my company money.Background on the Process:Twilio Studio will be linked to my AirTable.  I am trying to track the following:Whether a message was successfully sent or called.   When calling a person or texting giving them the option to press 1 for in-person (office) meeting, 2 for Remote (zoom), 3 to reschedule.Record responses and confirmation back into AirTable with that record.This is a RSVP for case conferences and hearings with our clients.  Built off the following fields:Client NameClient Phone NumberHearing Date & TimeHearing OfficerHearing Officer Email AddressHearing Officer Phone NumberZoom URLZoom

The API documentation says there is a rate limit of 5 requests per second.  Do we know whether this limit also applies to using personal access token?Specifically - let's say I create 5 personal access tokens - is the rate limit 5 requests per second for each personal access token or is it 5 requests per second for the user on which the personal access token is defined?For the above would the rate limit be 5 requests per second or 25 requests per second (assuming there are 5 requests for each personal access token per second)?

I’m calling an Apps Script which works as intended in the browser. However when using automation I get the error. I have read that this is to do with google redirecting the url. I don’t need to receive anything back from the script as everything is handled there. Are there any other ways around this? I could put it in a button but then it wouldn’t be automated. Also if possible I would like to avoid using another intermediary service.

What is the best way to restore access to Zapier whilst ensuring the prior configuration was saved?

Hi all, I have been playing with the SYNCH API for a while with excellent results. I found this capability very useful for creating and updating records. So far so good.My next challenge is to fill a table which one of its fields can hold a text coming from a legacy system. The problem I'm facing is that those texts include "," (commas) since they are descriptions and side information related to every record.I would like to keep the original format, otherwise it can be difficult to understand and read, however, when I try to use the synch API to move the data, I just crash with the CSV definition. I have not found a way to scape the commas in the string that is passed to the synch API, so it cannot process the request for those records.Has anybody faced the same situation? any hint? workarounds?... any help is welcome 🙂

Hello! I would like to dynamically edit an embedded view or dynamically pre-edit records of a shared interface.I see these two routes as leading to the same result (?):Show a preselected set of records on a public place (no airtable account, no email signup) with just a link or embedded on my webpage. Does the question make sense?Super best case scenario is to call specific "filtered by formula" records through the API/URL and have these records nicely presented either on an interface or an embedded view. 

Dear community members,I am trying to create an AI extension within my team's Airtable so that we can have AI summarizing the table for us more easily. I am done with the development, but I only realized now that the only option for me to publish it is to publish it publicly, and it even needs to be reviewed by the Airtable team.Is there a chance I can publish this in a way that only my internal team members can access the extension and not publicly? I don't plan to sell the extension nor allow others to use it, but I am not sure if there's an option for me to do so.I am expecting something similar to Figma's Private Organizational Plugin  Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, I have been using the Airtable API and having some problems in that.First of all, OAuth access token is getting expired before 60 minutes. When I try to refresh the token using refresh_token it stays this:{"error": "invalid_grant","error_description": "Invalid token."}If I refresh the token frequently, it works fine. But it is getting expired before 60 minutes (as written in docs) and after it expires, I am unable to generate token again. PLease Help! Thanks

Hi there,Is there any method to write a POST request with the filterByFormula parameter within the request's data, while also applying a sort? I've attempted to add the 'sort' parameter within the request data payload but I'm encountering parameter validation issues. I also tried to append on the 'sort' as a URL query parameter but it isn't being applied to the data correctly.

Does anyone else here use softr and is noticing severe lagging and slowdown in the app after oauths were implemented? When we confronted Airtable, they told us that:to summarise, there are actually 2 limits on the api call5 calls per second per base5 calls per second per user/integration pairand it is the second one that softr is having issue handling. Any suggestions on:1. what alternatives to softr are out there that have existing integration with airtable2. screw airtable altogether due to these new limits -> find an alternative

Hello everyone,I have used scripts a lot in the Automations pannel. However, I'd like to create more user friendly experiences using the Script Extension.Upon creating my system, it appears that buttons that trigger script extensions can not be run from an Airtable interface. Can anyone confirm that? Is there a way to create better experiences directly in the interface pannel by allowing users to follow a set of actions as defined in those scripts? Can it only be run from the data pannel?Thank you very much,Simon

Operations (these are all operations)3. Products (these are products which are included in operations.4. BOM (bill of material for invoices)Project is linked to operations via PROJECT_ID.Operations is linked to Products via PRODUCT_ID and projects via PROJECT_ID.Products is linked to BOM via PRODUCT_ID.I want to have this kind of logic:When record is created in operations, with operation type "Sales", where product is not empty,I want to search all entries for this product in BOM table, and copy all entries to Operations table, with link to the same project.Is it even possible? Any help on how to do this kind of stuff? 

I synced Wordpress to Airtable using Zapier. Whenever I submit a form on Wordpress, the information is shown automatically in Airtable. However, the only issue I am facing is that attachments are not showing at all. I have a form field where users can upload their profile pictures. The attachment in Airtable shows empty. Only if I upload directly an image from Airtable the image is shown (Row 2). However, that is not what I want. I want the image submitted in the wordpress form to show in Airtable. Any idea where the issue might come from? Thank you for taking the time and helping! Jad 

Hi dear airtable community, I’m using airtable curl API and I want to get the data from the oldest. I believe the go here is the sort parameter passed on as a query, but the createdTime is outside of fields, how can I access that? createdTime has to stay and must stay out of fields for my use case. Current endpoint I’m using, just need to read the createdTime that is outside out fields https://api.airtable.com/v0/{base}/{tableName}?sort%5B0%5D%5Bfield%5D=createdTime

I have an production website using softr and I have a database with about 3000 records.I notice that when I initially go onto a page with the softr site, the load time of the data take 4-5 seconds.  However when I come back to that page in say 10-20 minutes and refresh the speed is very quick. If I come back to that same page say 1-2 hours later, again the initial load time is very slow. There is no caching enabled  by softr  and I disabled all browser caching, so I am thinking the slow initial loads their must be a from a db connection timeout and the slowness is by the system needing to create a new connection with the DB and running the query.So I was wondering what is that db connection time out?Knowing that will allow me with a Curl script to load a page every "X" minutes, so the end users don't experience any slowness.Thanks,Jeff

I want to get the creation date of my records and I can't figure out what the variable is.Is there way I can get it, like I can get the record ID (record.getId()).
