Hello everyone,I have used scripts a lot in the Automations pannel. However, I'd like to create more user friendly experiences using the Script Extension.Upon creating my system, it appears that buttons that trigger script extensions can not be run from an Airtable interface. Can anyone confirm that? Is there a way to create better experiences directly in the interface pannel by allowing users to follow a set of actions as defined in those scripts? Can it only be run from the data pannel?Thank you very much,Simon
Hello all,I am new to Airtable. I am building automations but have no idea of scripting.Maybe someone can help me with my issue.I have 3 tables:1. Projects (here I group linked operations)2. Operations (these are all operations)3. Products (these are products which are included in operations.4. BOM (bill of material for invoices)Project is linked to operations via PROJECT_ID.Operations is linked to Products via PRODUCT_ID and projects via PROJECT_ID.Products is linked to BOM via PRODUCT_ID.I want to have this kind of logic:When record is created in operations, with operation type "Sales", where product is not empty,I want to search all entries for this product in BOM table, and copy all entries to Operations table, with link to the same project.Is it even possible? Any help on how to do this kind of stuff?
I synced Wordpress to Airtable using Zapier. Whenever I submit a form on Wordpress, the information is shown automatically in Airtable. However, the only issue I am facing is that attachments are not showing at all. I have a form field where users can upload their profile pictures. The attachment in Airtable shows empty. Only if I upload directly an image from Airtable the image is shown (Row 2). However, that is not what I want. I want the image submitted in the wordpress form to show in Airtable. Any idea where the issue might come from? Thank you for taking the time and helping! Jad
Hi dear airtable community, I’m using airtable curl API and I want to get the data from the oldest. I believe the go here is the sort parameter passed on as a query, but the createdTime is outside of fields, how can I access that? createdTime has to stay and must stay out of fields for my use case. Current endpoint I’m using, just need to read the createdTime that is outside out fields https://api.airtable.com/v0/{base}/{tableName}?sort%5B0%5D%5Bfield%5D=createdTime
Im trying to filter the next api request: https://api.airtable.com/v0/appn8Dg5iLM042oZh/tblDamHA046rqdTJF?fields%5B%5D=client_address_(from_deal_id)&fields%5B%5D=client_name_(from_deal_id)&filterByFormula=assignee%3D+9650 but instead of the assignee being 9650 i need to filter it by names like "Nick Smith", how could i do it?The error i get when i try to put a string instead of a number like:https://api.airtable.com/v0/appn8Dg5iLM042oZh/tblDamHA046rqdTJF?fields%5B%5D=client_address_(from_deal_id)&fields%5B%5D=client_name_(from_deal_id)&filterByFormula=assignee%3D+samantha is: "error": { "type": "INVALID_FILTER_BY_FORMULA", "message": "The formula for filtering records is invalid: Unknown field names: samantha" }
I have an production website using softr and I have a database with about 3000 records.I notice that when I initially go onto a page with the softr site, the load time of the data take 4-5 seconds. However when I come back to that page in say 10-20 minutes and refresh the speed is very quick. If I come back to that same page say 1-2 hours later, again the initial load time is very slow. There is no caching enabled by softr and I disabled all browser caching, so I am thinking the slow initial loads their must be a from a db connection timeout and the slowness is by the system needing to create a new connection with the DB and running the query.So I was wondering what is that db connection time out?Knowing that will allow me with a Curl script to load a page every "X" minutes, so the end users don't experience any slowness.Thanks,Jeff
I want to get the creation date of my records and I can't figure out what the variable is.Is there way I can get it, like I can get the record ID (record.getId()). I have tried record.getDate(), record.createdDate()). Here is what I have:return new Promise((resolve, reject) => {base('Resource').select({sort: [{ field: 'Type', direction: 'asc' }],filterByFormula: 'AND({Type} = "'+type+'")'}).eachPage(function page(records, fetchNextPage) {records.forEach(function(record) {console.log(record.getId());console.log(record.getDate());});fetchNextPage();}, function done(err) {if (err) {reject("Promise Rejected");} else {resolve(tldList);}});});
Is there a way to use filterbyformula to filter with two options from the same column?I have successfully retrieved all my records and now I want to be able to filter by 2 values from the same column.This is what I have so far filterByFormula: AND( {ID} = {Extension}, {Type} = 'Type A'). I want to also include Type C in this filter so it shows both Type A and Type C. I cannot find the documentation to do this. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Team,I created a personal access token as suggested in Airtable documentation.(https://support.airtable.com/docs/visualizing-airtable-records-in-microsoft-power-bi-power-query) While I'm connecting to PowerBI using the PAT, TableID, BaseID and M Query, it displays below error:Expression error: we cannot convert the value null type to type Record. Details: Value=Type=[Type]However if I use the API keys, it works fine. Since API keys will deprecate in mere future, created a PAT. Can you please assist? Thank you!
A common theme we are seeing with project management bases is the desire to have project and task templates. When you create a new project, it can then generate the corresponding set of tasks, and maintain the basic details about those tasks, including the relationships and dependencies amongst those tasks. This is similar to Creating Tasks from a Template with a few differences. When creating projects, we often find we create a new record in our projects table, and then want to link it to a set of metadata (a project template). From there, each project template should know its associated set of tasks. This allows us to add more project templates over time, and change the set of tasks required to complete each of those projects. Additionally, the script will ensure that the dependencies between the task templates are maintained when creating the tasks for a new project. You can see examples of the base: Universe Base Share Link Full code below // when a new asset is created, // t

I'm having an issue with Maps Block authenticating my Google Maps API key. It works fine if I make the key unrestricted, but adding the restriction to Airtable breaks/blocks the map block from reaching the API. Per the Airtable dialog box I'm supposed to add this address to the permitted HTTP referrers: *.airtableblocks.com/*Is this still the correct address? In the Google Cloud Console do I do more than check "websites" and literally paste that in as the permitted website address? I tried adding https://*.airtableblocks.com/* and that didn't work either. I've attached a screenshot from Cloud Console.
Hi All, I’m wondering what is the best way to calculate some basic counts on a table via the API. We need to calculate simple counts such as total records with a Status of “Fulfilled” and total records where Status is “Fulfilled” with where the Fulfilled Date is today (see excerpt below). I’ve written a Node Twilio function to retrieve the records and then loop through them and calculate which ones meet the criteria. We then use Zapier to retrieve this output from Twilio and put it into our Slack channel daily. However, as the table grows over 30,000 records, I’m running over the 10 second execution limit in Twilio. Is there a better way, or should I look for a different place to host my function not subject to the 10 second limit? let metrics = { matchedToday: 0, fulfilledToday: 0, fulfilledTotal: 0, }; base("Master Intake") .select({ fields: ["Status", "# to feed", "Created Date", "Fulfilled Date"], cellFormat: "string", timeZone: "America/Los_Angeles", filte
Hello there,I'm not being able to create nor duplicate a record and I've try restarting, deleting cache, logout and login... simply I cannot do it.Thank you,Edson.
Airtable sometimes mentions 5 requests per second per base rate limit and sometimes just 5 requests per second; see the links below.5 requests per second per base: https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/rate-limits5 requests per second: https://support.airtable.com/docs/de/managing-api-call-limits-in-airtable#understanding-rate-limitsCan someone from Airtable shed some light on what's going on and what's the reliable source?
Hi again,everyday I love more and more Airtable! I had to admit that... 🙂But... I stuck on KEY function of builded app... KEY FUNCTION 🙂I have a list with products, min/max are numbers, and defining working range for product:name | min | maxabcd | 100 | 200efghi | 145 | 455......I have to add a search field in interface where user can type a number, and table will be filtered to products in range. For example typing 70 - gives no results; typing 120 - gives abcd; typing 190 - gives abcd and efghi.HOW TO DO THIS?If not in Airtable - can you recommend any no code tool for building this (with Airtable as backend).RegardsTomek
Is there a way to set up Pitchbook and / or Asbhy integrations or APIs with Airtable? If so, any recommendations on what's the best way?
I'm using the Airtable API to create a new base and a new table (called 'Raw Data') within it. All of my singleLineText fields are working fine, but when I add a final field named 'Last Modified' with a type of lastModifiedTime, I get this error back from the api call:error: { type: 'UNSUPPORTED_FIELD_TYPE_FOR_CREATE', message: 'Invalid options for Raw Data.Last Modified: Creating lastModifiedTime fields is not supported at this time'}I haven't been able to find anything in the API docs or by googling about this. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Rob
I want to make it simple for users on my CFL prediction website to search through my Airtable content. I'm considering using the Search app. Is this the right choice, and do you have any tips for setting it up effectively?any Idea?Any help is appreciated!
Hello,I have a question regarding the Airtable API key deprecation, and was hoping someone could clarify/confirm. Basically I am wondering whether this change will affect us, and whether we need to make adjustments. I've searched the forum, but I did not find an answer. Maybe this is a newbie/misplaced question. If so, I'm sorry.I have a base today where we use the Google Distance Matrix API to retrieve info from the Google API. We have no external services connected to the Airtable base. If we go into the "Developer Hub" and look at "API Key" the list is blank. That is true for "Personal access tokens" and "OAuth integrations" as well.The Distance Matrix API uses an API Key, which we have created through google. We use this key when Airtable connects to the Distance Matrix API to get info. This is done in scripts and automations, and we use the function"await remoteFetchAsync(txturlrequest)" to interact with the API through the scritps. In the automation we use "await fetch(txturlrequ
Hi everybodyWe just upgraded to the Airtable Business account and recently updated our Airtable connection in Zapier from one user's personal access token to another user. Now all the Zaps using Airtable have stopped working - and have an error message that the Airtable connection is expired.I've tried reconnecting the airtable account several times, and each connection says expired.When you sign into Airtable through Zapier, there are a few new options... I've selected the organization option as this makes the most sense for us. No luck - it always shows as an expired connection. Any advice??
Hi everyone, Excited to be using the Airtable API!I'm trying to add new fields to a given table in a given base via this endpoint, but keep getting a 404 {'error': 'NOT_FOUND'}Here's my code:payload = json.dumps(payload)response = requests.get("https://api.airtable.com/v0/meta/bases/{base_id}/tables/{table_id}/fields".format(base_id=base_id,table_id=table_id),headers={"Authorization":"Bearer {token}".format(token=API_TOKEN),"Content-Type": "application/json",},data=payload) Could anyone advise?
I want to use timelines to keep track of, and plan things that happen to our garden beds at work - weather that is ammendments, planting, seeding, etc. Currently, each event - e.g. seeding of carrots, or application of lime is it's own record. When multiple things happen at once, against each bed, the timeline view is unwieldy to navigate. EG here I can only see 2 out of 60 beds at onceAll related events are grouped by a unique code. I can use another table, that connects all records with the same code into a single record, and timeline view that. Like this:But functionally this is inelegant, and for useful experience, I need to be able to edit the individual elements in the same base. For planning purposes, I really need to be able to drag the groups into different beds on the timeline.It seems like a simple functionality, but is there a simple way to achieve a reduced view, so I can view more of the farm beds at once?
Recently our Softr.ai app has not been able to consistently load information from our airtable databases. This never used to be the case and nothing has changed in the configuration. I am wondering if this is linked to the API changes - I read somewhere that if an airtable client now goes over their API limit (which we do if we are treated as a Team client and not a Pro client) then the 5 API calls per second is impacted. Is this what might be happening? (See screenshot - "request limit exceeded") I understood from what you said that we would be getting unlimited APIs on our current plan (Pro) until it runs out in April 2024 (because we have paid for an annual subscription), but I am wondering whether this is not the case and our ability is to make API calls is already being impacted. It would be really useful to know the answer to this as is currently not useable as it is not loading consistently. Could you ask one of your team to let me know
I have an issue where a sync that used to work has stopped as of 13 hours ago.The sync is from one base to another.This is the error message on the table that is being synced from the original."Unable to sync this source. Internal sync error"There have been no structural change or field name changes on this base during this period.Filed a support ticket (00634496) but this is business critical and a day to get a response doesn't answer that.
