Hello, Is it possible to make this nested condition an AND instead of an OR? I cannot figure this out!

Hello, I have shared an interface (hence a base) with read only external collaborators. Everything is working fine, but I would like to deny permission to these collaborators to enter the base itself, but i cannot find out how to invalidate the “Go to base option”. Can anyone help me on that matter. Thanks Pascal

The more I use interfaces with Linked Records, the more I wish we had better, more direct options for creating, viewing and editing Linked Field records. When I compare editing mock-up Text fields whilst pretending that they’re Linked Record fields, I can’t help but insist that this method of editing Linked Fields becomes a reality sooner than later… (pleeeease… :smiling_face_with_halo: ) Below is a mock-up interface that I’ve created and edited (in MS Paint) to hopefully relay the idea. I always feel that working with Linked Records/Fields within an Interface is somewhat back-to-front… Users should be able to work on their primary record, and the associated Linked Fields, without being interrupted with pop-up windows, or forms, or taken to different interfaces etc… instead, why not just let them edit the data directly, let the interface expand/

Hi community, Sorry to bother, I’ve been trying to work this out by myself for hours now… I’m surprised I’m the first to bring that up, or maybe it’s just a simple function I did not find yet? I’m in a record review layout. When creating a new record, I’d love it immediately displayed in the record review. Current (annoying) use: the “create new record” button of the record list opens a new record form. Once validated, this newly created record is somewhere (lost) in the record list; I have to find it to have it displayed on record review, and start populating the fields the way I want to. I’ve been thinking of adding a button to run an automation with something like create new record find record ID open interface record ID url https://airtable.com/baseId/interfacePageId?recordPickerId=recordId …but I’m not familiar with scripting at all.

I want to build a “Send iMessage” button into my interface, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to work. I have a {Phone} field, so generating a link to send an iMessage is easy enough with this formula: IF( {Phone}, SUBSTITUTE( CONCATENATE("iMessage://", {Phone}), " ", "") ) This works great as a button in the regular Airtable interface. Can it be made to work in an interface? If not, consider this a feature request. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi there. I’m trying to create an interface designer graph element that has year on the x-axis. The data I would like to pull from for the x-axis is a formula field formatted as a date, grouped by year. Every time I’ve tried to create an interface designer graph element using a formula field that’s formatted as a date it has collapsed (see below screenshot - refreshing the page does nothing) and also caused all the other graph elements to never populate (perpetual wheel, also see below). I created a new column in my data that copy and pasted the output data in the formula column, but now in a date field type. I used this date field to as the x-axis data instead and everything worked perfectly (see below). This makes me think something’s wrong with

I can’t thank the community enough for answering my questions! My next question is how to add a record from interface designer. I have 2 tables; Names and Attendance. Names has all metadata associated with an individual person. Attendance table is going to be used for tracking if a record/person in Names table has logged in. Every person in Names table has a unique_ID. When I create a new interface, I can add 2 elements; Name and Date. Date works just fine but when I Add Record to Name it shows the unique_ID, not the person’s Name which is metadata in the Names table. In other words, I want to select a name from the Names table and add it to the Attendance table with the data from the interface. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? TYIA

I can’t find this request yet, which surprises me. I LOVE interfaces for sharing complicated data with not-so-tech-savvy clients. They love the interface as well. However, they often end up on the “backend” and break stuff anyway. I’d love to find a way to give people access to the interface, but not (or read-only) to the actual base.

My base contains a field for INTERFACE URL. Is there a way to autogenerate the interface URL for new records?

Hola, I’m very fresh to the airtable community, but not to airtable itself. I’ve been working with the new interfaces feature extensively, and have a great affection for it, but I’m running into a ‘group by’ error that I think has been asked before, but not in relation to interfaces, so I thought I’d double-check if this was a planned feature, or if there’s another method that might work better. In any case, I would like to group records by ‘due today’, ‘upcoming’, and ‘overdue’. The way I do that is by using a formula. This generally works pretty well, however, when I try to create a new record (the ‘+’ symbol next to the record viewer), I get an ‘internal error’ and I have to refresh the page. The record is still created, but in every instance, the shoots out the error and I have to refresh the page. Is there a different way to get the same solution? I suppose I could use the filters to do it manually (ie. due date is today, due date is before to

I don’t need anything at Pro level yet (Plus does what I need for now), but I utterly despise having every page showing “Upgrade to Pro” on it, looks really naff. If I do “upgrade”, will it completely remove all nags, or will it nag me for the next level instead?

I have an interface where the vast majority of elements are “wide”, but I want to add 6 little donut charts that appear way too large (with a lot of whitespace) when I choose the wide option. But when I select “narrow” on the layer/grouping that contains the 6 donut charts, it centre aligns them on the page making it look wrong against all the other wide elements that start on the left-hand side of the page. How can I force a narrow layer (i.e. a grouping with a dotted-line outline) to be aligned left like the wide elements? Unless I’m missing something it seems impractical to use both narrow and wide on the same interface without having a very clumsy looking design. Thanks for any thoughts!

I have an issue regarding Airtable Interface. When i am in a record view interface" and i add a form to create an new record in a linked table, the new record is NOT LINKED BY DEFAULT to the current record. It means you can create an record with the form and not see it in your interface because it’s not connected to the current record. Please tell me that the prefilled feature is on the roadmap, otherwise it makes the interface form really annoying to use. “annoying” is a gentle word compared to what my clients said.

I have a question: If I duplicate an Interface (Design 1 & Design 1 copy), will the Design 1 copy change when I make changes to Design 1?

What does the lock icon practically mean? I’d like to share the published interface with colleagues for them to search a record list and then click a link. Does the lock icon mean this is not possible?

Hello, I’m designing an interface for my organization where I want people to be able to edit the field values in a grid. However, it appears that people accessing the interface will also have the ability to edit the field descriptions. Is there a way to lock the field descriptions but still allow edit access to the field values? If this is not currently possible, could this be a feature in the future?

I have a table with a linked field. I want to update that table and change the value of that linked field. Specifically, the Family table has a field linked to the Worker table (single selection only). In a grid view, I can readily delete the worker and add a new one (airtable gives me a list to choose from). However, in my interface that I use to edit the family, that worker field does not show me all of the values available from the Worker table. It only shows the one already chosen. I’ve tried having another element on the interface that is connected to the worker field and then having a button to run an automation to update the Family table. I haven’t been able to get that to work and I feel that I must be missing something. Any suggestions? thx!

I have dates on two tables and I want to get the sum of a different number on each table. I have a task table with a date on it and a field that has the duration of the time expected to complete the task in interger format. I have another table that pulls in my google calendar. It has dates on it and a field with a duration on it in interger format. I want create a grid that gives me the next two weeks day by date and the sum of those two duration fields. Is this possible? What is the easiest way to do it?

Necesito hacer un dashboard de graficas con airtable, pero con la extension de airtable puedo hacer este tipo de graficas con muchos parametros en una sola metrica, pero no me deja hacer muchas graficas. En interfaces puedo hacer un tablero con muchas graficas pero son algo pobres, que me recomiendan. En la 1er imagen es en interfaces, es dificil tener la visualización completa con mi equipo de trabajo. Y deseamos ver más amplia la información. En la 2da imagen se puede ver muy bien la grafica, pero esta hecha con la extension de airtable y necesitamos tener muchas de estas, para formar un tablero.

Some of my records are not coming up when I search for a part of their name in the record picker. I double-checked and it does not have a filter, so it should be able to return everything in the table. I can get shipment #12760 by pasting in the full name of the shipment. When I search using just the reference number 12760, however, it gives me no results. I only have one shipment with this number in the name. For other shipments, typing in the reference number is enough to bring it up the corresponding record. I’m not sure what the difference is between the shipments that work and the shipments that fail.

In my table 2 has some records along with their comments and these records are connected with table 1. for example 3 records which are connected with a1. Now I want to access comments of those 3 records in the interface via a1. I don’t wanna read individual comments going each record instead by clicking just a1, I should have access those comments. Dear all, I just experience strange behavior of elements in interface designer. Not only one base, or one specific interface, it’s all. Element says" Element had an internal error". Anyone see same?
