Hello, We have built an interface and would like to have external users to access and provide input on the interface directly. This is a once a year exercise, so we would invite them as read-only. My question is, can read-only users enter values into a record in an interface? In case they can’t which type of user would be able to do this and would that type of user incur in any cost? For context, we ended up building an interface as opposed to building form as we need one user to update multiple existing records (i.e. provide a consumption value), the form is not really good in this case as we have multiple records which are expecting consumption values, the form limited us to 1 record. Any ideas we might have overlooked? Thanks, Jordi
Kindly it’s important to have a copy & paste feature in the interface cause it consumes time to make the same graph but with different filter that can be eliminated if we can copy & paste.
Are we able to view convert or view a URL as an image?
Hey! Does anyone know if it’s possible to display single selects as a list instead of as a dropdown in Interfaces? Just as in the form I mean? Currently, I’ve only managed to add single selects as a dropdown like this: I want the options to be in a list like this example:
Pretty straightforward: let us use the filterable grid element to pick a single row and then act on that record as with the drop-down picker. That this isn’t available feels very strange, creating streamlined and constrained versions of a regular tabular DB interface for is a natural use case for Interface Designer; there needs to be some kind of records browser & selector element.
I’m trying to make a dashboard the shows the number of records created last month. Not “within the last month” but in the entirety of the calendar month preceding this one. For example, I want to display only records created in December 2021, nothing from November 2021, or January 2022. I feel like I’m missing something supremely simple, but can’t find the answer. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Hi guys, tried the interface designer the first time today. in one of our bar charts the order of the week days is mixed up (see below). There are only two options (ascending, descending) which doesn’t help us. Any idea how we can set it up correctly? Thanks a lot, Reg. Sabine
Is anybody else having a problem with the filter conditions on the Record Review record list? It is not filtering correctly according to conditions. I am sure it was last week and I haven’t changed anything. I feel like I’m going mad.
Is it possible to create simplified URLs for an interface (or any other object in Air Table)? My company SOP’s state something like “Step 4. Browse to www.airtable.com. Log in, and select the Bacon Log.” (We’re a food company). I’d rather have my SOP’s read, "Step 4. Browse to www.airtable.com/CompanyName/BaconLog." Is a custom URL like this possible?
I have buttons on the interface to take me to various views in the Base. What I would like is a button in the interface that takes you to the EXPANDED VIEW of the record being displayed in the interface. Is this possible and what is the formula to attach to the button> Thanks.
I created a bar chart that shows data based on 2 categories: month in the year (string, x-axis) monthly actions finished (percentage, y-axis) There are 2 major issues that make the product acts weird: When there is no “100%” value, there are no values on the y-axis bar. I’m got into confusion that the highest bar is 100%, which is not (on the image attached its 58%) All the meaning of percentage is SOMETHING-AS-PART-OF-100, I don’t want to see the maximum value as something which is lower than 100%, it’s missing the whole point of percentage. In case there is a “100%” value, The values shown on the y-axis are only 0% and 100%, I can’t see the values between (like in the number column for example), I MUST hover each bar to see its value.
We are developing some interfaces in a “model” base, which is then duplicated for specific use cases. Although that seems to work, on my homepage I only see the interface from the “model” interface. Is that the way it works or am I missing something?
Hi, may be my doubt is just something stupid, but right now im facing a problem i havent had before. Im not able to create any interfaces, button just isnt shown. I can go to create area, but then when i select a layout, i just cant go on. Is there any trouble with it? or the problem is just mine?
A button that resets ALL filters back to empty (no filter).
Trying out interfaces for the first time by creating a summary for my delivery earnings base. Starting pretty simple. I want to create a bar graph and pie chart comparing the sums from two different fields: the delivery pay and tips fields. So far I can only figure out how to make charts with just one of the fields, like this: Is there a way to do this?? I can’t find anything but I feel like there must be a way to do this.
I would like to be able to format text that I add, so that it is identical to text that the app produces. E.g., I have a table-generated indicator of the number of research participants interviewed, but I have to manually add a text module to show the number of participants invited - they look very different, and I cannot manually format them to look alike. A “copy format” feature would be the easiest solution.
Pie or doughnut charts that only have a legend, but do not have the labels in the slice (or linked with a line) are much less usable. I can create those charts within Airtable, so I’m hoping this feature will be relatively easy to implement.
Several of the bar charts I’ve created would be more readable horizontally, but I don’t see a way to flip the X and Y axes.
Hi, I have a problem with Interface Designer. I created an interface using the “Record Review” template and I started working on it and its source table. At some point, probably in conjunction with the addition of some new fields on the table, the interface started giving me an error every time I try to change the color of the records in the left list. The error is “Field "ID" was changed since this interface was last published”, but I didn’t change the “ID” field, which is the table primary key. The interface still allows me to add a coloring with a condition, therefore a fallback, but not to add other conditions and colors. I tried to look for this problem on the forum, but found nothing. Can someone help me? Thank you.
Hello! When adding a linked field element to an interface, is it possible to have that list of linked field records be filtered by a criteria? I can’t seem to figure that out, and connecting a filter item to a linked field record list does not appear to be possible.
Wondering if it would make sense to have forms as an option in Interface? This would make data entry for new records easier.
Hi - Is there a way to integrate a map or world clock into my Interface base?
It would be useful to me if I could change the order of the names in the page title, the one that shows as the tab name in a browser. I keep multiple tabs open from the same base/interface-group, and can already tell which base/interface-group the tab is from the favicon, but I need to actually wait for the hover text to tell which table/view/Interface is open in that tab.
Hi there, So this might be a really stupid question, but I just spent all day building out a dashboard in the interface designer and then it said something went wrong and to refresh and now it’s literally flipped the order of everything top to bottom. (the top of the report in now like at the very bottom and everything has essentially be reordered) Is there some sort of reverse or sort function on the page that I’m missing?
