Maybe it’s just me, but when I add a rollup field of a currency field, I need to manually set the formatting back to currency. I think it would be useful if the rollup field was to inherit the number format of the field it operates on – and if there’s conflict, then there leave it for the user to add. Sounds like I’m too lazy?

For readability it would be nice to be able to present numbers (especially large ones) with separators such as commas. Custom defined number formats would be even better (regex).

I have an automation trying to update multiple fields of a record. Sometimes it fails and give me this error :Error: Field "fldKGWwykYE5qbRTG" cannot accept the provided value.Could you update the error message to provide the Field name instead of ID.Logging the "provided value" could also be very precious.It will be very helpful for debugging to understand what happened and how to avoid it in the future.Thanks a lot!

What is the proposed idea/solution?Currently, Maps extension (which utilizes Google Maps API) supports dynamic marker size "by field"'; however, this field may only be a static `Number` (or equivalent such as `Rating`). A computed number such as `Count` should be eligible as a source field.How does is solve the user problems?In my case, I am trying to size markers based on a `Link` to a separate table. I wish to count the number of linked records as the determinant of map market size.How was this validated?Tested with four columns: Number, Single line text having number values, Rating, and Count of linked record. Number and Rating are eligible fields for `by Field` map marker size configuration option, the others are not (grayed out).Who is the target audience?Any user of Map extension.

Our beloved platform seems to ignore thousand of users and so we are still struggling with numbers and the use of comma instead of dot for decimals. To do that, we have to literally TRIPLE the number fields. Even though many have asked for it, we still miss printing an interface. Of course they also ignore many users that need a multi page designer !!! These 3 requests are not new! The first one dates back the first years of this platform. They don't even have an answer for that ! They just ignore usI'd appreciate if I could:Have a Global Field for each tableHad more possibilities to edit the text in an Interface (for example: align text)Guys if none of these are scheduled to be fixed then I kindly ask the co-users suggestions for other platforms - data bases.

What is the proposed idea/solution?The ability to set owner as non collaborator/builder so he does not have access to the bases but has only access to workspace settings.How does is solve the user problems?The problem is that in our organization there are users who are administering the workspaces and different users are building. We don't want builders to have access to workspace settings so there is another user who is administering the workspace - the only thing he does is managing the billing and administration features. Since the user is not a collaborator the workspace shouldn't be charged for him.How was this validated?Each owner is collaborator and we have to pay for him even though he doesn't collaborate.Who is the target audience?Each company who have separated group of users administering the workspace from collaborators.

Rollups/Lookups for Rich Text Fields Lose their Markdown formatting. That is a real bummer. Would like to be able to have an option in the Formatting tab to keep Rich Text Formatting.

What is the proposed idea/solution?Would be really helpful to be able to dynamically send a Slack Action Message to different channels. As it stands now, static is the default and only option if you want to hook up the Slack Action Message to a channel. For some reason though, you can dynamically send a Slack Action Message to different users. Need this same ability for channels. The possibilities are endless.Who is the target audience?Any type of agency that want to streamline client approvals

What is the proposed idea/solution?The proposed idea is to show different record details templates within the same interface list depending on specific record criteria, such as a single-select field. For example, if one record's status is "Order in Backlog," when clicked the record detail template would be different than another record with the status "Delivered." How does is solve the user problems?This would allow for fewer interface lists. In other words, we could collapse multiple lists into a single list without losing the benefit of unique record-detail templates associated with multiple lists. This would help organize reduce "Interface fatigue," where too many Interfaces creates confusion and fatigue.How was this validated?Personal experience.Who is the target audience?Anyone that uses Airtable Interfaces looking for more simplicity.

What is the proposed idea/solution?The usability of the UI isn't designed around common design patterns.- Tables listed as hozital tabs - looking for tables is a high use/common behaviour - horizontal scrolling is awkward- Wasted real estate on the 'create a view' panel - this functionality is often used when setting up bases, but seldom used thereafter, this real estate could be put to better useSolution:- List tables vertically, in alphabetical order (and provide sorting alternatives) - similar to other database design patterns.  Use the space currently taken by the 'create a view panel' ...Who is the target audience?- All database users (admins, editors etc.)

What is the proposed idea/solution?It seems likely that this is already being developed, but I suggest adding a new feature to the Button interface element (see attached screenshot for expected location) that allows users to apply a record template to the current record. This enhancement would help streamline the process of creating sets of sub-tickets and eliminate the need for cumbersome automation currently in place.How does is solve the user problems?Allows for faster, easier deployment of records in an Interface. HTML emails are great, why not offer a plain text version 🤔 🤔 ?🚀Having pure text inside the body of the email allows you to better integrate Airtable with other software. I appreciate being alerted when an automation fails. It's a must-have feature for potentially critical automations. Right now, according to the official documentation, the last user who turned it on receives the alert. This setup isn't sufficient for bigger organizations.It would be more effective if we could specify multiple recipients, whether for all automations in a base, specific sections, or individual ones. Being the sole recipient is concerning. Are there any temporary workarounds available? I suppose I could write a rule in my email client to forward them to other colleagues but I'm old fashioned and use a local email client which isn't always running.

What is the proposed idea/solution?Enable the ability to drag a linked record from one linked record field to another.  How does is solve the user problems?This is particularly helpful in workflow use cases where you want to move one or more records to another status or state. 

Seems like a no-brainer to me: It would be incredibly helpful to have an auto-generated legend for interfaces that shows users what the colors represent in the view. As it is now, the coloring helps to visually provide some differences but doesn't contain any usable information unless you can easily recall what 6 or 7 different colors mean. I think this would benefit most users! Bonus points for adding a color palette that is friendly for users with color vision issues.

What is the proposed idea/solution?Other elements, such as Calendar, Timeline, Gallery and Kanban to act as Record Pickers, allowing for records to be clicked within the element, and their subsequent fields to be looked-up and displayed within the interface.Think of the way a Record Picker element behaves, and now apply that behaviour to the other Elements. When you think about a Calendar, it's showing records just like the record picker is showing records, just in a different visual format.Further to these mentioned elements, this same Record Pick behaviour should also be added to Linked Fields and Lookup Fields.How does is solve the user problems?The Record Picker is a very powerful element - but I feel it shouldn't have a monopoly over its specific functionality, and that the other elements such as Calendar etc would all benefit vastly from having this same ability.Who is the target audience?Anyone building and using Interfaces, where multiple tables are in play, typically at 3 leve

What is the proposed idea/solution?Being able to export a file to .xls/.xlsxHow does is solve the user problems?This gives a great way to share a full project overview for people that may not have access to Airtable and will bring over formatting/pictures when/where necessary that .csv export does not. How was this validated?I used to use ClickUp and they had this feature available. Whichever "view" I was on, I was able to export to an xls file to allow editing by other team members that do not use airtable.

It would be great if Pro Plan got a bit of an upgrade on storage and record limits. Whats weird is that there is no tier between Pro and Enterprise. Airtable should either make Enterprise not have a minimum of 25 users as lots of Small businesses dont need that or make a tier between Enterprise and Pro. 10k USD is an insane jump up from spending 2000 USD a year. This just doesn't make sense.A lot of Saas companies forget that their billing is quite high for places like southeast Asia where businesses are NOT printing money like in the west. Our business is at 15 GB of storage and about 20k records. Once we are over our storage limit, why cant we simple upgrade the storage only? We dont need more functionality. But are willing to pay extra for storage, but not 5 times the amount we pay now.If Airtable doesn't change this policy, people who outgrow the Pro plan will go elsewhere. Smartsuite is another strong contender coming up and they are pumping out new features and update b

I love the embeddable Form option for information collection, however, it’s almost impossible to style the form using CSS since I can’t Inspect the code. It just shows as an over-all object rather than individual text and box components. I would be nice to be able to know the div id’s or classes in order to make it appear a part of your site’s type faces and colors. If this is an option already, no amount of googling or searching the community/support has turned up anything for me.

In Excel and Google Sheets, you can double click the border between column headers and the columns will automatically resize to the best viewing size. It would be great if this was available in Airtable where the columns resized to view the entire name + the dropdown arrow to the right of the name.Thanks

Please add a field that functions similar to "Enhanced Rich Text" on Power Apps sharepoint or even better similar to a "Page" in Notion. For example, ability to copy/paste screenshots/images, add tables within field etc.

The challenge:Not being able to combine rows together with clean separation.The solution:The ability to use a formula like this =TEXTJOIN(" | ",TRUE,AQ2:BJ2)This would be a HUGE help for me (and I’m sure many others).
