Table 1 is a database of completed projects, table 2 is a list of invoices. How do I have the linked field in table 1 link to the next available invoice # in table 2? The invoice #s cannot be duplicated and I’d like them to stay chronological. All of this is currently set up, but it’s done manually. First, by searching what invoice # is next then in table 1 under the invoices field, create a new record with the next invoice # in line. Is there a simpler way to do this? Table 1 Table 2
Hello - I just upgraded to the Pro-plan because it said the org chart allows you to “view hierarchical links between linked records” - but what I didn’t realize until now is that only works for fields within the same table. I’m trying to view how I’ve linked my tables (which I built in the “free” version) - I need to see this visually with connector lines showing the relationships (one to one, one to many, etc) between the tables - can someone help me figure out how to view all of these relationships at once on the page with connector lines? I’ve scoured the help resources and cannot find it. I’m worried this doesn’t exist?!!
Is the API Rate Limit tied to an API Key? Or to an APP ID? Or a combination of both? I have developed several websites that pull and/or sync data with Airtable, and while none of them individually will generate more than 5 requests per second, I’m now concerned that (since they’re all using the same API Key) they will collectively generate more than 5 requests per second. However, if the Rate Limit is tied to the API Key and APP ID, I have nothing to worry about as each application is built using a different Airtable Base. Please advise! Thanks!
I have an Airtable base that includes a Form View in a particular Table. I would like to be able to create a new Record in that Table and fill in some, but not all, of the fields for that Record. I’d like for the remaining fields for that record to be filled in by someone else. Can I send a URL that is unique to that record for that person to go to and fill in the remaining fields?

I need help 😥I’m currently trying to import a CSV file into one of my bases under a Teams plan workspace, but I’m receiving an error message stating that the maximum allowed file size is 5 MB which, as I understand, applies only to Free plans.Could you please confirm why this limit is being applied to my paid workspace and help me resolve it? I’d appreciate any clarification or steps to fix this issue so I can proceed with the import. Please refer to the screenshot below: Thank you for your assistance.
Hi! I have recently made an integration with airtable and google docs to create documents via webhook. I’m trying to figure out a way to integrate this document to docusign via ‘send a document to sign’ module but can’t figure out how to set this up. Are there any integromat experts here? or anyone who have a similar use case as mine? Hoping to find some answers as this will really help our company automating our workflow
Hey Airtable community! 👋I’m Ruben, co-founder of Stacksync, a modern integration cloud that helps teams keep their Airtable data perfectly in sync with the rest of their systems, databases, and warehouses in real time.Over the past few months, Airtable has quickly become one of our most popular integrations. I’ve seen teams use it for everything from internal operations dashboards to lightweight CRMs, but things can get tricky once automations or APIs start scaling. That’s where real-time sync and solid architecture really make a difference. We’ve learned a ton about what works (and what breaks) when data starts flowing both ways. I’m happy to share what we’ve learned and hear how others here are approaching similar challenges.Looking forward to connecting, learning, and helping others build smarter with Airtable. If you ever want to chat about connecting Airtable with other parts of your stack, feel free to reach out! --Ruben@Stacksync
I’ve been doing my research as to which program will suit my not-for-profit and airtable has come up as the leader on several fronts. I’m a little overwhelmed and trying to find the best place to start - I dont know what I need because i dont know what airtable is capable of at the moment. which course should i begin with in the academy? where did everyone learn airtable? i want to be a master!
Hi, Is there any way of wrapping the text in the header fields so that I don’t have to have such a wide column to fit the header in? In the example above I want to be able to see “Genre” rather than “Ge…” and “Proofer 1” instead of “Pro…” Thanks in advance! Kate
I have a form for Licensure to get submitted, but I am wanting the person submitting to see the Description of the Code that is chosen.I can't seem to get this to show how I want because I need on my database to have a column with ONLY the code to be passed over on the file I generate. Ultimately what I want is what you see below. I want the "License Code - PS to be what is showing. If we have someone in certain states I need it to change to a certain code. Here is what it should look like (coming from step 3 below, but read why I don't seem to like this). I tried a few items listed below:1. First, I wanted to use a formula in the Automations, but it won't allow this from what I could see. I can chooseStatic or Dynamic to update the record, but can't use a Formula here.2. Second I then made the option on the form to be Code-Description and then tried to use the following formula which works great except I have some "Codes" that have a dash
I am new to Airtable. We set up an images table. When I synced products from Airtable to our Shopify webshop some images ended up one line lower in the table, and thus images end up with the wrong products. When I “repaired” the images in the Airtable images table, and synced A>S nevertheless images skipped out of their row to another product and deleted images were still resident in the products table. How should I properly sync products + their images A>S ?
Hello. I want to create an app/system for managing Shopify store from Airtable. Is there anybody interested in a solution that here? What features would you like to have? (ex. order management, product/inventory management etc.) Would be happy to hear some feedback. Thank you!
Hello Airtable Community, I have experienced recently a misunderstanding with an automation of Airtable. I have a Plus Plan but the number automations free are 0, It says I have done 50.000 automatizations and now I cannot try my app anymore. I don’t need even 50.000 automatizations by now but It has been a misunderstanding of an automation of “When record updates” in the Collections base. This Collections Base is linked with the products (that are 1.000) and this products are sync with Shopify AirPower API that sync the changes every time. So the solution, i think, is to do not watch this records in the automatization… but I did not noticed earlier… Is there any solution on this type of situations? I am a developer and I need to keep working with the automatizations to develop an web for my client, even upgrading to Pro Plan will stop the work for this month as I have achieved 50.000 automatizations… What could I do? Sorry but I would need some type of solution. Thank you for your co
I’m trying to understand the steps for filtering views by using URL parameters, including how to call the field in the url given it’s not in English and contains spaces.I couldn’t figure it out from official documentation.Any leads will be much appreciated
I use Wix Booking App and also have an AirTable Calendar. My goal is to have Wix appointments show up on my AirTable Calendar and ALSO have any appointments made in Airtable block those times on my Wix Availability Calendar. Can this happen? How? Thanks!
I have an airtable base that contains data from a dozen sources and lots of duplicates. The duplicates are easy to define based on phone number. With dedupe currently you have to look at each individual cluster of duplicates and select what you want to keep. That's fine for some scenarios but that should not be the only option. It would take hours for me to look at each cluster. There should be a easy way to:1- Select the fields where duplicates exist.2- Select which record to keep (most completed fields, newest, oldest, etc).3- Run it and be done.I really don't want to have to export to excel and re-import because airtable can't handle such a simple function.
Hi everyone! I need to generate the documentation of an Airtable database and I was able to use the script below, but it would be much more useful and efficient if the output were in an Airtable table (which I could easily update daily or weekly thanks to an automation). Obviously I could go ahead & code all this, but I’m quite slow with JS (rather a SQL/Python kind of guy) and was wondering if someone had already gone through the trouble… for (const table of base.tables) { output.text(table.name); output.text(table.id); output.table(table.fields); output.table(table.views); } In a perfect world, I would also love to find a way to programmatically update table and field descriptions: I am migrating data from other tools to Airtable to create beautiful workflows and I’d like to reuse existing docs to update all object’s desc at once instead of manually updating descs. table by table, field by field. Does anyone know anything / have an idea how I could do that (witho
We are looking to enable users outside our domain (parents of our students) to submit a form with an attachment. If we turn on the setting "Allow unrestricted access to shared forms" at the org level what other impact might that have from a security perspective? We are using AirTable to manage very sensitive data about our students. Thanks!
Hi, I am looking into options or workarounds to check if a value of a record exists in database before submitting a form. Is there a third party software or tool that is compatible with Airtable to do this? or is there any workaround with an automation to submit the form and check if record exists. If it does not exist, open again the form and show an error message to fill out a correct email. I would appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.

Hi there, we’re new to Airtable and i have just helped one of our departments setup a workspace which is using a form to capture information via a shareable link. My question is around security, is there any sort of captcha so the form isn’t flooded with bots? Also, i don’t see where i can set an expiry to the form (say for a week or month), is that an option? Thank you
Hey everyoneThere use to be a feature for Groups in forms that seems to be missing now for new fields. When creating a form, you can create a group and add fields to that group. When you selected the Group, there was a permissions option for that Group where you can choose the fields to be editable or view-only.It appears that option is no longer available. This was incredibly useful for me. I was able to prefill fields in that group and it would prevent the end user from removing my prefilled option. This was really great when I didn't want to expose information in those fields to end user. I could prefill it and they could not edit it. But it was at least displayed there for them so they know what they were filling things out for. If this feature is gone, is there another way to prevent end users from changing prefilled fields in formsTIA!
When in data view I click a button that opens a URL, each time a new tab opens. To avoid that, I tried the trick of pressing the ⌥ button while clicking the button, but this time a .TXT file gets downloaded onto my computer on the clicking of the button. This is quite annoying, especially when you have to perform a button clicking multiple times. Do you have any solutions in store to circumvent this?I would appreciate your help on this.PS: I saw that this topic had already been covered in previous threads. But I thought that Airtable might have fixed this since the last time it was brought up.
I need to generate an image link that ends in .jpg or .png for the purpose of registering the product to GS1 (to assign a barcode). Is there a way to change the URL of my product image in Airtable so that it ends in .jpg?
