I need external parties to update existing records. I have successfully created a second base that serves as the receiver of the updated fields. I accomplished that by creating a form in the second base and using the URL from the form to create a formula field in the first base that will pass a record identifier to the second base. The URL works well and the record identifier from the first base shows up in the new record (RequestID) in the second base to match the record being updated from the first base. My problem seems to be with the automation. I am using when the form, from the second base, is submitted to trigger the automation. I then added update record to the automation. Based on a video covering the topic by Julian Post, I list the second table called New Update as the Table in the configuration. I list RequestID from the second table as the Record ID. For testing purposes, I add just one field in the Field section. I set it to dynamic and map the corresponding field wi

Good day.I have a base that receives forms. The form is a default for ALL events, and each event, via a formula, creates an unique form link that hides the event’s ID so that when someone submits a form, that ID is autofilled, and thus populated to the proper event.Now here’s the thing, I have another base where I have dropdown selections, but again this is tied differently, as the first one is tied to an unique even, so that won’t work. The dropdown selection allows us to see only those that meet certain criteria, however, in this case, for the event, it would be different for each event, maximum users if set, are met, then it would no longer show US their names.At least that’s the thought.So I was thinking in the attendees table, where the form is linked to, I could have a view that first is sorted by date created. Hi everyone,I’m trying to set up an inspection workflow for electrical equipment on construction sites using Airtable as the main database.Each construction site has several inventory items assigned to it through a junction table.For every inspection visit, a technician should be able to:Start a new inspection report linked to one site. See all inventory items connected to that site automatically listed in a form. Record for each item: condition (OK / Defective / Needs repair), comment, and photo. Submit once → this should create: one “Inspection Report” record, and multiple “Inspection Entry” records (one per item). After submission, a PDF report should be automatically generated and attached to Airtable. Hey, so my Airtable account got downgraded to a free plan, and I didn't get any warning.I had to pay extra to fix it. I emailed support over a week ago, and no response yet. I saw in other threads that my emails might not be going through because my email bounced once. I'm worried that's the problem, and I can't reach support, which means I'm missing important account updates.I guess I could change my email, but that's not ideal. Has anyone else had this happen, or can you help me get in touch with support quickly?

Hey Airtable community - I’ve got a form we intend to use daily to catalog pictures of our daily jobs. The form I’ve made is linked to our “jobs in progress” page and the idea is then that we open the form “upload attachment”, “from camera”, and then snap a quick photo from someones, boss, employee, whoever’s phone. Then it should upload the pic and update the primary record. I’ve got it all working as intended, but the problem is the default picture size on everyones phone is 2 to 3 MB or more, and then we end up having to wait over a minute to upload different pics / angles of the job, when it should really be much faster. These pics are primarily just for liability, colour reference and potentially some social media so they don’t need to be high resolution. I was thinking maybe find a super old phone with smaller pics but seems like a wonky solution, wondering if there’s anything more elegant to speed it all up.
HiI am using Airtable with Fillout forms for a client project based in UK. Apologies, this question is more about Fillout.I am happy that I can get request a DPA with Airtable in relation to GDPR.Fillout say that they are GDPR Ready but then state that only Enterprise customers can have data hosted in EU.Can we achieve GDPR compliance with Fillout on one of the lesser plans, with data hosted in US?Anyone in the UK in the same position who could maybe offer their thoughts?Thanks
I may be missing it, but is it possible to modify font/size of single/multi select fields in the page designer block? I can modify everything else, but I can’t seem to make these bigger or smaller or change the type of font they use.
I am trying to make a tutoring database and have it so when a tutor claims a students session as a record and add themselves onto the record via the fillout form it makes it so that when another student loads up the page a conditional tells them that someone has already taken the spot. The problem is this only happens if the person opens up the form page at a time after the tutor already submitted his or her form or if the person reloads the page. I was wondering if there was a way for the form to refresh instantly without the tutor having to click refresh to let them know that someone took the spot because if both tutors open the form at the same time and tutor A submits first and takes the spot. On Tutor B's end it still shows that he can still take the spot so when he submits it kicks tutor A off the spot and claims it as tutor B's.
This might have a simple answer that I'm just missing - my supervisor wants to stay logged in to her Airtable account instead of being prompted to sign in each time. I use Google Chrome and am able to stay logged in with my workspaces saved as favorites on my browser. She said she has hers saved in her favorites as well, but uses Microsoft Edge. I'm not exactly sure why mine lets me stay logged in, I've just never had any issue. Any tips on what she could try to get the same result? Thanks so much for your help!

Hello,We are a large sales organization using the Airtable Page Designer to create PDFs in order visualize data from our commission tables. We have created the PDFs in the Airtable Page Designer, but do not know how to attach them back to the individual record within the table.For example: we have commission data generated from the table for the entire sales organization. We would like the PDF that was created for Bob Smith, to automatically pull back into Bob Smith’s record. We plan on emailing all of these PDFs to each individual rep through an automation.TLDR: How do we attach the PDF to the individual rep (record) from which the information was pulled.
I have been using AT for about a year now and love how I can incorporate it to my project management and our companies overall workflow. I am now starting to get the hang of forms but am wondering if I can take it a step further. Here is what I am trying to achieve: I understand that you can embed a form onto a website to get information shot back to your AT. I am wondering if you can do the opposite and share that exact form with another individual, with pre-fille information, a pre-attached file(s) without having to share the record with the person through email. When a record if shared from the original form, the information (record) just gets emailed to the person and that does me no good because I would like to have a “single select” field where someone can approve the form that is being sent to them. If this helps for visual/functional purposes: I want to send over a URL link (custom generated form) to individual customers so that they can approve or deny proofs that our company

Is there a way to set the time zone for all tables in a base? I just noticed that my “where Ordered is today” filtered out all orders and it’s only 6:31pm – the day is not over yet. :neutral_face:
Hello! I run an auction house for a primarily text based MMORPG that’s PG-13 with the use of Airtable. Lately, we’ve received some submissions that are clearly meme/pranks. The problem is, that some of the material that have been submitted have involved nudity and acts that are lewd. Which breaks the rules of the auction house, as well as the MMORPG that the auction house is ran for (It’s the internet. Some players in the game are minors.). That being said, the staff for the game has asked that I grab the IP address of those that have submitted such images/content so that those users can be banned as appropriate by the game’s TOS. Is there a way for me to discover an IP address of the form submitter or figure out whom submitted what?

This is not a new topic and I’ve read through all other topics on adding images to email automations using the <img> I use Airtable formula: IF(Attachments, REGEX_EXTRACT(Attachments, "(?:[^(]*\\()([^)]*)"))to create the url. The image file name has no underscores in it. I’ve done the img src=”formula url”/ and doesn’t work.I’ve done the Expiring Download trick and doesn’t work.I’ve created a long text field and added the whole image tag in it then pointed to the long text field in the email body and still didn’t work.I get the broken images. Results all attempts I’ve made below in image. Any insights where something is going wrong, I feel I’m almost there.
Just curious if anyone here uses a form on a website as a contact submission form. Do you have a problem with spam entries? I’m thinking of replacing my contact form with an embedded Airtable form.
I have a fairly simple database containing 5 or 6 tables. All of these tables are joined one way or another. I am trying to create a word document using Formstack and to run it via the manual integration which I intend to automate through the use of a button in an Interface when I get this working. I have built my first document and mapped all of the field tokens from my Airbase table into my Formstack document and it works a treat. I have now gone to build my second document which uses some fields from the table which I am in when I select the record in Airtable from the integration but it also references so fields from another table albeit in the same base. These fields do not pull through. I have recreated a link field and chosen to show the “add look ups” fields from the other table in the table where I am running the document form, re-written the placeholder references for Formstack and hey presto, it works! Is there any other way to do it with the references I already have in the
