Hi all,II'll try and better explain.Imagining you have a base with multiple tables, and on one table there are 2 fields... One, is a linked to field that allows for multiple selected records... Let's say it links to a table listing people's names; members of a team. One record has 3 names: Jason JonesAmy AbnerSteve SullivanAgain, these are individual records from another base, not text.  Is there a way I can pull just the first record, automatically, into the 2nd field? Similar to if I was using the right or left functions with numbers.  I want to have a second field that pulls out just Jason Jones in this field, and does the same for all the other records along that same field; ie pulling out just the first record.  🙏  

Hi! Has anyone found a work around to printing or exporting out the Timeline view? We are on the enterprise version and are in need of printing these out without taking screenshots and placing into powerpoint. Thank you!

Hello,These presented properties will have a chance to have a different property address linked on this column which is not having any issues.My main question here is there any way how could I set up,  the "current property" will be replaced with the latest property address from the presented properties?For example.The first property from the presented properties was 15 Kaye Drive, after a few minutes there will be another property added to the "presented property which is 36 Erronmago Drive.How can I replace the "current property" with the latest address which is 36 Erronmago Drive?The main purpose of the "current property" should only have 1 latest property address only.Hope it is clear and someone could help 🙂Thank you 

I have created a shared events calendar with a registration form, and I'd like to set up an automation that would email a confirmation to the registrant, including a link that would generate an ics file that they could use to add the event to their Outlook calendar. The only instructions I can find are for creating a link for syncing an entire shared calendar. Thanks!Joel

We currently publish an Airtable calendar of training events on a company intranet page. We use the Zoom event registration feature and I have a button on each event that takes the users to the Zoom registration form. But I'd like to find a way to track these event registrations in Airtable rather than in Zoom, so we can utilize automations, etc. Is there some way that I could build a button that so that when a user selects an event on the calendar and clicks "Register", they would go to an Airtable form which would automatically associate that registration with the selected event? I don't want them to have to pick the event from a list within the form (for a few reasons). I just want them to fill in their name and contact info and answer a couple of questions. Thanks for the help!

In the Base Schema app the fields are not ordered in the same way as the fields in the table. The order seems to be the original order at the time when the field was created. If it was created at the beginning of the table and later moved to the back, the Base Schema app still shows that field in the “front” of the table.

Hi everyone, Is there a way to URL parameter encode a filter that filters multiple choices at the same time? Example: http://myairtableurl.com/abcdefg?filter_Region=Region1&filter_Region=Region2, or ?filterRegion=Region1+Region2 It only seems to allow me to filter by one at a time, and I’m not sure if it’s impossible, or if I’m just missing the right character to join the two filter search terms. Hi everyoneI've been an Enterprise user/admin for a while and one thing I've noticed is that some users who are originally set at collaborator seat level sometimes get "bumped up" to builder level when they take certain actions that only builders are supposed to be able to do.  This is something I'd like to be able to control since we pay twice as much for builder licences as we do for collaborators, and there are certain security risks that come with not being able to restrict who has owner/creator access to certain bases or workspaces.  It seems like a really odd loophole to me, particularly as you don't receive any kind of notification when someone's seat level changes.  Does anyone have any advice on this?

I have the Pro account.  I am trying to upload a base with 4200 records (4 MB) and am unable to do so.  The error message is Error: pglY2zfD6is4klyo3  (I thought the max records on the Pro plan is 50,000)

Law firms will hire my company to retrieve medical bills/records on their behalf.  They then use said medical bills and records in order to negotiate a settlement with the insurance company on behalf of their injured client.CONTEXT: We currently send hundreds of requests for medical bills/records each month to medical facilities all over the state. Each of these requests typically require us to do follow ups with the medical facility because they are often swamped and under staffed.  Often times this process can take weeks or even months to complete a single retrieval. I set up my table with a Predecessor field (linked field back to the table). I’ve been using this to drive some calculations on dates for sequencing and showing in the Gantt chart. However I want to also use the successor for some other calculations. Here’s my question. In the Gantt Chart view you can click on a record and it will show the predecessor and successor (if they exist). I have only set up Predecessors in my table. However for a record that is “in the middle” of a chain - the Gantt Chart view will show the predecessor (which I set) AND the successor (which it knows as that successor record is set as a predecessor for the record selected). Is there a way (via a formula?) that I can access what the Successor record is? Clearly it’s available as it’s shown in the Gantt view but I can’t seem to determine it from a formula. Thanks!

Hello  Is there a way to copy data into airtable by copy and paste. My airtable table has a link field that points to another table. In google sheets I have the current data where I need to copy some missing records maybe a handful. Is there any way to copy in that link Field. I can copy to any of the other data fields that are not link. But it seems that I have to select the plus and manually enter the location is the link field. Is that correctSorry for w newbie question

Is there a way for the first field of a table (primary field) be a linked field? If so, how do you configure it.

Given all the complaints & negative feedback relating to the latest homepage UI update is the Airtable team going to address them in a meaningful way besides individual responses? I've even had Airtable support members agree with me they can't stand the new layout.Is anything being done to correct it? Will there be any changes to ensure something this bad doesn't occur in the future? 

I want to have an automation/setting/lock that when I click a certain table tab, it switches to a certain dashboard... can I do this ?The reason is in Dashboard 1 I have a map API showing locations based on addresses in that particular table.I want to be able to click on table #2 tab and see the map on dashboard 2 which will show locations based on that particular set of addresses      UNDERSTAND ??   can I do this ??

Hi, Is there any way to automatically upload/attach an image from a website when I input the weblink in a “Link” column in Airtable? Basically, when I input the weblink into the Link column, some function or some code would run (maybe in a separate “Function” column?) and then grab the specific image from the website and upload it into the “Attachment” column. Not sure if this is feasible or not… Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you! -Dave

Hi! I want to calculate time that falls within a specific intervall. I want 1 column for weekend hours, 1 for evening hours and 1 for night hours. The rules would be as stated beneath. How would I do this? My time columns are "start" and "**bleep**". I have three subcontractors working in separate (but similar) bases. For NDA reasons they can’t work out of the same base. However, for better admin, I would like to roll up all their records into a single base? And I would like it to be automatic, so whenever they make a change to a record in their base it updates it in the master base. Is this possible?

I just noticed this new option in my right-click menu for records: I clicked on it, but it looks like you have to have created a template in order to apply one, and I can’t find anywhere to do that. Is this a new beta feature?

Hi there! Airtable is doing this weird thing where you can no longer paste inside a text field like if you hit paste while IN the text field, it overwrites everything. We hope its a bug because I copy/paste to move around text all the timeIs it possible to have a solution about this?

Dear Airtable Community, when I try to embed a airtable view into notion as I always did (like described: How to Embed a View or Base | Airtable Support) it does not work anymore and just shows the link. Does anyone face the same problems and knows how to solve? Thanks!

Is there any way for Airtable to remember which nodes of an org chart you've expanded? I'm using the org chart extension for a large org (> 1000 people).Every time I reload the extension, it collapses every node, which requires me to click hundreds of nodes to restore the org chart to the state I need.
