Not sure these types of posts are cool here, I initially asked this same question over in Reddit but didn’t get much help, so I’ll try to keep this as brief as possible. Anyways, I started at a company in March assuming it would just be a part-time role as one of their drivers, however I used my Airtable skills to build a really basic driver app (AT + Softr) which helped me land a unnamed and unstructured promotion. All that was proposed was moving to the new marketing department and helping to establish structure. I now spend most of my time rebuilding internal workflows with Airtable while also creating a company knowledge base (in Coda). Recently I was asked to come up with a name for my title, but I’m kind of stumped. I don’t have a formal education beyond an Associates and I don’t have any professional credentials (eg. project manager, engineer, etc). Are there any titles you’ve come across that help clarify / showcase the value we bring with tools like AT

I can not figure out how to set the ‘Today’ date to my local time, so in my Gantt view, the blue line is always a day behind.

Hello, I have an issue with airtable calendar views: For each records of the table I have 2 event (IN and OUT), and for each event a collaborator (can be the same one but most of the time collaborators are differents from IN to OUT events) I want to have calendar view for each collaborators with only the event there are responsible for. But when I filter, it’s not working well because it’s also showing the event where the collaborator was for the IN but not concern for the OUT (not easy to explain) For exemple: I have a record: Ms Bond From (IN) 23/08/22 to (OUT) 25/08/22 For the IN event: collaborator is Tony For the OUT event: Collaborator is Elon I created a calendar view for Tony and an other calendar view for Elon In the tony view i filtered “Collaborator IN = Tony, or Collaborator OUT = Tony” In this view i see the IN event: normal Tony is in charge, but i also see the OUT event, because even if Tony is n

Hi our homepage views have suddenly gone blank displaying no data - if we apply a filter the relevant data appears but without a filter nothing is showing. Personal view are not effected. This is very troubling - we initially thought our whole database was lost. Im looking to create an extension that shows dropdowns for various fields in my base, but I don’t know how to make the dropdowns appear within the extension. I’ve tried returning the select field as well as using it with a FormField but neither approach works. I’m unsure as to how to make the dropdowns appear in the extension

Hello, In my base I have 2 tables: Users and Emails. They are linked together because one user can have multiple emails. Users Id|First name|Last name 1|John|Doe 2|Sam|Harison Emails Id|Address|User id 1|john.doe@gmail.com|1 2|sam.harison@gmail.com|2 3|sam.harison@yahoo.com|2 I want to create a form in which user has to provide first name, last name and one or more emails. How can I achieve this in Airtable? Of course after submission data should be stored in tables with correct relationships.

A general question to the Airtable community, what is expected when email notification are switched on and a mention is done in the comment section on a record. So far I have been unable to make this work between collaborators - and not sure what I am doing wrong. I don’t see anyone else with this issue so believe it must be me. Is the email instantaneous - or with delay? Many thanks.

Good Morning! I have a project field that is synced externally and uses a formula. I wanted to use that same project field (with the formula), to link to a tasks field. For some reason, I cannot link the Project Field to my Tasks field. The Projects field does have automation as well. Any tips?

I need to restrict viewing a complete table or several columns within a table from some collaborators, but at the same time that table or columns should be visible to other collaborators. Hi Everyone, I have a start date field and a duration type field and I’m trying to create an end date with a formula DATEADD({ :gear: Appointment Start Date},{Duration},‘minutes’) This doesn’t seem to do anything i.e. the end date is the same as the start. Any ideas? Cheers

Hello, I have a table to input hours for tasks. These task are linked to a country and a profile. Simple, in generic. People input 40 hours a week, to profile 1 and country 2. But I have a problem with a department. This department, already has more granularity in tasks, and they input 40 horas for a specific task wich is alreadly linked to profile and country. I can add to the table two columns with profile and country lookup , when they input this task, but i need to copy automatically this field to the original linked field country and profile in another columns. I read a lot in the forum, but any solution is accomodating to my problem. Maybe some script? many thanks for your support

HI Everyone, I have a couple of bases that are synced, I want to move them to a new account.; This obviously breaks the sync between them. What is the best way to sync them back together after the move? It seems its not possible to reconfigure the table to sync with the new base. Is there a better way than creating new tables and then having to modify of the links and lookups?

I have a table that is populated by a form where volunteers sign up for a specific event. Those events are shown in a field that is linked to another table that contains the events. My problem is that, in the shared form, the only field that appears in the grid is the 1st column, which does not contain enough information. I want to see more fields in that grid. What am I missing? Second image shows what I see (not enough information), 1st image shows what I want to see in the shared form. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have created a form to schedule meetings with our company. However, I have noticed that when someone from another time zone picks a time for a meeting using the “Date/time” field, Airtable schedules this meeting in this person’s time zone. For example, if someone in London picks the time 10:00 am, the meeting will be at 10:00 am their time (3:00 am CST). Is there a way to have this “Date/time” field to only stick with Central time no matter where the person is located? For this particular case, the meeting will be 10:00 am CST, not 10:00 am London.

I have a table that looks like this… CompanyName, CompanyID, AttributeA, AttributeB, Phase1Start, Phase1End, Phase2Start, Phase2End In other words, 1 row per company, with lots of start/end date columns for multiple phases of a large project. I now want to plot those phases with some kind of timeline view but am struggling to achieve this with Timeline or Gantt. Calendar view at least allows me to specify multiple input dates per row, but the view isn’t really appropriate for managing a project. I can see one potential solution which is to create multiple rows in my data per company and then group the various rows by company in my timeline. But I really want to avoid doing this and dramatically messing up the structure of my initial base. Has anyone else successfully plotted multiple phases of a project for a given row with a timeline view? Or even any other view that works well on project management? Thanks for any thought!

I have a button field that runs a script, that calls an external API, and then updates a field in the record. Is there anyway to stop the extension dashboard containing the script from opening (even partially) when the script is run? I really don’t need my users wondering what’s going on (or poking around for that matter). :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks!

Hey Everyone, So I and a colleague have “Creator” Permission on a base. We are trying to use the Dedupe extension and we are not able to use it, because it is said we do not have permission to make the changes. Please advise.

Hello Is there a way to replace all spaces with “-” in a cell? I synced a cell with my website and what ever I put in to the cell in airtable becomes the webpage slug. So I can’t put a space in a slug. Any solutions for this?
