I’m not sure the best way to do this but I would love some direction if anyone can help. I have a base with all my upcoming events and their contacts and organizations putting them on (we have multiple each week). In one table are the Events and all their information. In another Contacts and the last is the Organization putting it on. I would love to keep track of which employees are working each event. What is the best way to have an Employee table and then add employees to each event and see it cleanily? (I have relationships across all 3 already) Would making an employee table, then link it to the events table and using a gallery view be the best way? The employee could potentially be scheduled to multiple upcoming events at the same time. Thank you in advance for any help!

I have a column named Day name which is a single select field containing names of day - Monday, Tuesday, etc. How can I create another column which gives the weekday number of this? I know I need to use Weekday() function, but how can I set it up such that it converts the string to work with Weekday() function? Thanks.

Hi fellow community members, In the Tool I am building to follow-up auctions, i created 2 tables: Table 1: “list of lots in auction” Table 2: “Price obs table” in which i made a link with Table 1 My target is, in table 1, to retrieve info from fields “Max Bid Price”, “Max Bid Calculation” and “No bid” fields from table 2 linked with the concerned record. Lookup field trial has failed. Any suggestions guys? Thanks for your help :winking_face:

I have 2 tables linked, one with job information (primary) and one with finance, when i delete one from the job information table the finance table still has its relevant data (information not linked to original). Is there a way of automatically deleting the one when the other is deleted? Thank you

Is it possible to do this? I’d like have an Airtable form with an attachment field, requiring someone to submit a CSV file (with info already filled out). The contents are then imported into an existing table with the contents mapped out accordingly? I’d have them fill out the contents with a form, but sometimes entries could be as much as 20+ … I checked MiniExtensions but didn’t find anything that would work for this use case. Help is appreciated.

Hi! I have a base with start date, end date and completion date. When setting the Gannt I have start date and end date that create “a line”. However, I wanted to see also something on the Gantt that gives me when that activity was completed. I was thinking about setting that as milestone but it is not posible. I know that I can color the category as eg. green to see that is completed but I want to see WHEN. Any suggestion is highly appreciated! Thanks!!

Hi, I’m looking to solve something that is probably very basic. I have a master table that I’d like to bring in add’l data (size) into from Table 2 using the first column as the key. In this example, here is size data from table 2 that will be going over to the Master Table. In the Master Table, I’d like multi select fields with the data from Table 2. We started using Airtable at work and I signed up, accepted all of the invites viewed them at work and at home I log into Airtable and I cannot find how to get to our database. Any help would be greatly appreciated

In some tables, I have a lot of columns & I move around things a lot, is it possible to update the order of columns in the view by one click or by script ?

Each year I screen every kinder student and determine whether they’re OK, need speech service, need a recheck in 1st grade, or a recheck in 2nd grade. I’ve created a table for the first year- but I cannot figure out how to automatically move students from the 19-20 table into the 20-21 or 21-22 tables if they have data in the recheck field. If they are OK or receive service and meet mastery, or are disenrolled, (unshown fields) they do not need to transfer to the new tables. I also only need certain fields of data to move from the current table into the other 2 tabels (Student name, DOB, sounds) as the grades/teacher names will all change as they shift from grade to grade. Hi, I need help getting the following to work: I have created date and status columns and I need to create a formula that calculates if the application is overdue and by how many days. 1. The first condition is 7 days since the creation date and the status is unassigned. The returned value should be "Overdue by one week". 2. The second condition is between 7-14 days since the creation date and the status is unassigned. The returned value should be "Overdue by more than a week". 3. The third condition is more than 15 days since the creation date and the status is unassigned. The returned value should be "Over due by more than two weeks". Can someone please help?

Hello, I have uploaded a column with text string within quotes so that Airtable would populate the color combo multi-select options. But the quotations still appear with the text string. Is there anyway to remove or hide the quotations in the color combo multi-select field?

Hi, Our client owns snaffle.com.au which uses Airtable to publish the products. As there is going to be a change in Airtable attachments according to the article (https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/4852449595671), we would like to understand the impact to our clients business processes and be prepared if it affects the business. Our client currently adds product and product images to Airtable and sync to our website. The uploaded images will be displayed on our website after that. Can you please let me know whether there is an impact to this process because of your change in November? Also, please provide any documentation that would be helpful for us to overcome the issue. I have two columns that I’ve inserted into Page Designer. They have similar content, but the column widths are different, and I can’t see a control to manage this. Is it possible/what determines how wide each column is? It can’t be random…?!

We have invited a collaborator. Later we removed from the base. But, again they have joined with the old link. How do we restrict them? And also, the private sharing doesn’t comes with email domain restriction. Hope it is in enterprise wide admin panel.

Hello everyone This is my first post here. We are facing serious limitations with airtable, related to limited access to data editing, f. ex for customers and employees. → its currently not possible to give a customer access to a view to import data, f. ex to place an order. We can’t create 1 base per client since we store related data in the base. → it’s currently not possible to give an employee access to a view to create / edit records, f. ex to create a timesheet. We can’t create 1 base per employee either. Looking around for a solution we found out that this problem has been addressed since 2018, and that miniExtensions products seem to solve those issues. Before we start using their products, I would like to ask if someone knows : does airtable plan to improve those features in short-term, (3-6month)? it seems they released a solution in the past but turned it off. Hi I am creating Airtable form where my first field is mobile no. What I want to do is if mobile no. already exists in my excel/google sheets/airtable database , then a different set of fields needs to be displayed and in case the mobile no. does not exist in my database another set of fields nformeed to be displayed. How do I go about this in the Forms?

I’m trying to add a table element within a form, is this possible? On the form I’ve created, I want to allow users to add items to a table within the form. For context, the form will be a quotation, the table element needs to allow unlimited rows to be added, each row with several columns (Description, Quantity, Item Price, Total Price, etc). Is this possible to do without creating a link to a separate table elsewhere? Any help appreciated!

Hello all, new to Airtable. Trying to do something that would be pretty simple in sheets or excell. I want to count the number of occurrences a string appears in a column. Say, equipment in inventory, and counting the number of times that gear appears in the table to compare the number used to the number in inventory. In theory, I would love something like the “Count” column below. Where the name is the record, gear and quantity are referenced from another table. Name | Count | Gear | Quantity item1| 2 | apple | 2 item2| 1 | orange| 1 item3| 2 | apple | 2 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

All, I am attempting to add photos to an attachnment field that already has photos in it. An error appears after about 2 minute2 of loading “error uploading files”. The photos are small, all up maybe 2MB so size is not the issue. The internet is not dropping out. This is really shitting me! Also, same thing happens trying to upload a PDF. What is going on? Tried in Chrome and Edge (windows) - no luck.

Hi there, I have an issue as follow : We have a PostgreSQL database and we created Zaps to create a record in AirTable for each new entry. The issue is that when an item in the database is updated, it creates a new record in AirTable with the same ID. How can I proceed ? Should I use find and replace in Zapier ? I know it’s not an “AirTable problem”, but I think it’s a good place to ask. Thanks for any help.
