Hi everyone, I wonder if anybody tried exporting an Airtable base’s structure as SQL create statements for RDB like MySQL or PostgreSQL. I am trying to replicate the Airtable base that I have in a relational database. Product suggestions and tips for the task are highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, In my table I have a field where I want the expiration date of a contract be automátically calculated based on another date field (when the contract was signed) + 36 months duration period. The formula is as follows: DATEADD({signed}, 36, “months”) Most of our contracts are for 3 year periods, but because, we actually have some that are for one year, I thought I could create another number field where I could set as default the value “36” but eventually could change the number of months to “12”, for example. Now the new formula is: DATEADD({signed}, {contract duration}, “months”) PROBLEM: The date appearing in the signed field is June 20, 2015. In the first formula, the date that resulted was June 20, 2018 (signed date, 36 months later) The second formula however came June 19, 2018, a day earlier. I’ve tried with different month values. it always comes one day earlier. Any tips, suggestions, etc would be appreciated.

Hi. I am using the project tracker template. I have made a number of changes to the fields while in the all projects mode. When I look at the completed projects or incomplete projects view these changes do not show How do I get any changes to show across all views. Thanks

I have an attachment field where I upload jpgs. Is there a way for Airtable to get the date created from the jpg I uploaded (not the date the record was added to Airtable) and display it in another field?

My notifications from airtable aren’t coming through as email alerts for some reason. I’m not being notified when: Someone tags me or When a brand submits a form For the forms, it is definitely ticked to email me when a form is submitted, and for tags I have checked my notification settings and it is set to alert me so I’m not sure why it’s not working. I have tried to see if it is working on Outlook or gmail through Chrome and both aren’t coming through. Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks for your help!

Hello Everyone, I have a table to keep track of projects and the employees that are working on them. We work virtually so I’m looking to create a calendar view to see when projects are ending and an employee would be available to start something new. If a project is 5 days a week until the end date it’s not problem, but I’m having trouble creating a view where one employee with multiple projects could be displayed accurately. For example, one employee is working on two projects and alternates every week (so one full week on one project and the following week on a second project back and forth) or if an employee does 3 days on one project and two days on a second project. I’m wondering if that type of specificity in the calendar view is beyond AirTables capabilities or if there’s some linked data solution I’m missing…

Hello community, I am working to creating an airtable form that will allow users to provide cost estimates for various conservation activities. Currently, they input this information into a word document and do all the cost calculations themselves. This information is then input into the airtable manually. In the form, I could set up each activity with its own field for cost, unit, etc. to get this information , but would like a cleaner way of gathering this information. So my idea is to create an excel sheet with drop down selections that can auto-calculate the totals for the user. Then have that user upload the excel into an airtable form. But how do I get that information out of the excel and into the airtable table without someone needing to manually do that? Hi Community, I would like to build an application with Airtable as backend that can be used to comply with environmental regulation. The user logs in, specifies details about his/her company (e.g. CO2 emissions) and gets a dashboard of the companies performance. The questions can be quite complex and therefore users should be able to log out, and continue the work at a later point. I am a bit lost when choosing the right architecture. I’ve tried a lot already and my current approach includes Webflow as front-end website, Memberstack for user registration etc. I’m not sure how to accomplish smart forms that are live synced with the AirTable backend. Hi, Is there a way to ‘freeze’ a view so any newly created records don’t enter it. I’ve got to download a load of data from the table and run them through another software and then re-upload the results. I’m hoping i can just paste in the results but i new records enter the view that weren’t included in the original download then there might be a race condition. Thanks in advance

Think this way: Article XYZ is about ‘emotional self-care’. [e.g. line 5 in the screenshot]. Now we want to find where in all our other articles we mention ‘emotional self-care’. If we find this keyword/anchor text in an article, we know we can insert a link to the article xyz there. Hi all, I haven’t used Airtable before but I’m currently looking for a backend system that I can link to my Adalo app. My app will be selling event tickets that have a limited capacity. Some events will be popular and and may have 300+ users trying to purchase around 300 available tickets at the same time. Using the Adalo internal collections the problem arises if 2 users click ‘purchase’ at the same time as the available tickets are only reduced by the quantity chosen by user1 but both user1 and user2 have the items added to their cart. Obviously this is very problematic and we more users the issue will only get a lot worse. So, my question is - Can Airtable handle concurrent orders and keep the database up to date? Thanks, Ash

Hey everyone, Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find anything. I am still a beginner. My Problem is the following: IF({Laufzeit (Monate)}= BLANK(),"", DATEADD(Vertragsbeginn,{Laufzeit (Monate)},“Month”)) It works, but the result it is no longer shown as a date. I guess because it could either be a date or a text, it doesn’t recognize it. So what I want is to have an empty cell in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” ist empty and the calculated date as a date in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” is filled. Could anyone help?

I can’t seem to both calculate and format a date in the same cell. I add 55 years to a date of birth to come up with a 55th birthday (call this cell 55bday). That returns an ISO date that includes a time. I can, in another cell, use DATETIME_FORMAT and reference cell 55bday to remove the time. Can I do that all in one cell?

I want to trigger a zap when a date in Airtable equals the current date. Looking at the triggers in Zapier (New Record; New Record in View; New or Updated Record), I don’t see a way to do that. For example, if I have an Airtable comprised of people and their 21st birthday, could a Zap trigger when the date of the 21st birthday matches the current date. I’m having a hard time seeing how any of the three Zapier triggers could do that.

Hi, I see that a few people asked about editable shared grid views in Fall of 2020, and the general consensus that it could only be done with software like Stacker, but that it was on Airtable’s upcoming features. Does anyone know if it is now possible to share editable grid views yet?

Hi folks, I’m an Airtable rookie trying to do something fairly complex… thanks in advance for the help! My main table has a list of projects (films) with several additional fields, the most relevant being Completion Date, Revenue, Team Hours Dedicated, and Quality Score. I’m trying to create another table (or series of tables) with a monthly scorecard which automatically calculates the following metrics on the first day of each month, only for projects which were completed in the last 90 days: Total Revenue Average Team Hours Dedicated per project Median Quality Score I’ve been trying various combinations of IF statements, DATEADD, etc., but am making little headway. Any ideas?

So I have a little project Im working on currently, Currently im using the Zendesk Beta and im trying to utilize the “Assignee” which is email addresses. I want to have a formula that can replace the email address that’s in the assignee to another table that has my employees names (also includes their email) so I can have a formula that replaces the data with that name instead of an email (I know you cant edit Sync Sources thought this would be best bet type of solution). Any help would be awesome im fairly new to AirTable still learning some of its tricks and features.

Hi! I checked through the community posts but can’t seem to find the answer. Is there a way to use automations to insert multiple records into a linked record field? Context: I am creating an automation where in an employee can update their leave application via airtable form. The automation works if the employee is only encoding one date. However, since the field allows a multiple linking of records they can select multiple dates as well. This is where the error comes in. Is there any work around?
