Hello All, I have some fields in my database that are mandatory at different stage. I want to do a form with the first fields for the first time, and then send another form prefill and update the record. I do not see how to update. Is there a way to do it ? thanks

According to this support article, it says that we can use markdown formatting in any “long text field with rich text formatting on”. However, this doesn’t work. We have a long text field with rich text formatting on, but when we add markdown syntax into our text, nothing happens. For example, if we type the following into our long text field: **test** *test* test We would expect the results to look like: test test test (Notice that the 1st word is in bold, the 2nd word is in italics, and the 3rd word is plain text. That’s what we would expect.) But everything just stays in plain text, and looks like: **test** *test* test Thoughts on how to get this markdown formatting to work within a rich text long text field?

I am new to Airtable so forgive me if this is an easy answer. I have searched the forum and can not find the solution. I want to sum a field with several records {days worked}, by group {name}. I have accomplished this by grouping by {name} and the result shows in the group bar. I want to use the results of this in another formula calculation, in a different table. I’m looking for a consultant to help customize my Airtable  project. I’ve started to build my list of team member and each task for them to do but want to have them using a simple interface for their job, keep track what has been done or not ect. Hello, I work at a nonprofit using Airtable’s Team plan. We recently had a coworker leave but she didn’t delete her account before she left and I’d like to delete it now so she no longer shows up on our user drop downs, etc. She now has read-only access to everything she was formerly editing, etc. so she doesn’t show up on our billable collaborators list. Is the best way to have her account deleted to reach out to support? Is there any other way we can close down her account? Thank you for your help!

How do i filter records with same tag (like status = ‘Active’ in a multi-select column) inside the multiple tables ( within the same base ) ? I want to see the filtered records in another view maybe ?

Hi friends! I work for a cleaning company and we are trying to find a better way to manage our cleaning supply inventory better. We currently have a complicated situation where our cleaners need to notify us when they need cleaning supplies, we then move it to a master list, and then onto a distribution list. Cleaners often will forget to ask for a product and are in need of something so they’ll ask to grab something the day of. This always messes with our ordering process as sometimes it will be so busy when they come in, we forget to mark it down and we’ll run out of products faster than expected. Wondering if there is a way through airtable to scan the barcode and have it automatically subtract one from the master inventory.

Hi, each record in my table has an email address {email} and photo {photo}. For each record, I’d like to send the record’s photo to the record’s email address. Is there a way to do this using SendGrid? I’ve tried turning on “Send as HTML” and doing <img src="{photo}"> but doesn’t work as {photo} is replaced by “filename (url-to-file)” when I only want url-to-file.

Hi dear folks, I want to ask a solution suggestion on Barcode solution that our company is trying to build the inventory list which we want each item has its own barcode (any code type including QR), and we can scan it and locating its place. I would want to ask: 1). which is the best barcode generation system? anything can be better integrated to airtable? 2). which scanner we should purchase? or just using our iphone? thanks for your answering.

Hi there 🙂I have a base for keeping track of inventory for a warehouse. I'm using barcodes. I have a home table that gives an overview and stock count. There's also a table that logs every movement (in and out of items). I add a movement to the log by linking to the home table stock item that's identified by its barcode. On my phone, I can search for the item I need to link to by using my camera to scan it's actual barcode but this isn't possible with all devices. All I need to know is which tablets are able to do this as well. I'm struggling to figure this out as I need to get a tablet for my warehouse that's able to do what my phone can (without having to purchase an ipad because they're too expensive). Could someone please advise me on more affordable tablets that are able to do this? 

Hi For some reason when I try to fill-out a form, when I scan a barcode, the form does not recognize it.  I scan a barcode that reads LE100 and it will just give me the first item that's embedded in the form. And this does not happen when I use the form in the edit view nor does it happen on any other base or view. Only on the actual form does it not work correctly. The scanner works, I tried filling out the form on different computers, I refreshed the form or exit it out and open another one. We have been using the scanner for almost a year now and it worked so I have no idea why all of a sudden it's not working now. I have no idea what could possible be wrong and would like help. 

Please have pity on an absolute newbie. I have been tasked with creating an inventory control system for a community theatre’s extensive prop inventory. What I would like to do is create barcodes for each item, and then devise a simple way to check them in and out. I am confused by the airtable app barcode function - it appears to allow me to scan barcodes only when creating records. Can I use it to scan the actual item in the warehouse and pull up the existing record? In a perfect world, our users would be able to go to the warehouse, pull out half a dozen items, scan them and have the inventory location move from it’s designated shelf to a “checked out to:______________” status. I am on the free plan. A few Co-workers can add an event to the calendar by submitting a shared form. The Airtable calendar is then updated. That works well. But say they need to delete an event. How can that be done using the same form, or do I need to make a new shared form? 

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal or is there an issue going on right now?

In the form, i need to fill in the quantity for each item. Each item will be linked to the database. Each form need to be input quantity for around 10 items. pls see photo below 

I’m looking for a way for my client to be able to automatically track his calls and airtable. Is there any third-party integration that you guys know of that would take the calls that he makes and put it into airtable?

I am trying to figure out an effective way to share a view with external collaborators. Companies like Smartsheets allow unlimited guest editors for no extra cost on their business plan, but it seems that with Airtable if I want to share my project plan with a customer just to mark tasks as complete we need to pay $10/mo/user for portals, or full price to get them into the company Airtable account. Are there any alternatives here? How have you guys accomplished this effectively?

My base has a people table and a calendar table. The primary field in the people table is name. In the calendar table, the people table is linked with a field called assignee. In the calendar table, the assignee field correctly displays the primary field name value in grid, calendar, kanban, timeline, gallery and list views, however in all ~100 gannt views my team has created the assignee field now incorrectly displays the airtable record ID of the linked record in the people table. This just began yesterday.  Why is this happening?Am I able to change something to correct this?

Hi all,We've been using a Page Designer invoice setup for a few years without issue, but we're now running into a problem where the Address field isn’t displaying properly.Originally, the Address was pulled in via a lookup field. The field shows the correct data in the row, but Page Designer is displaying a “0” instead of the address.As a troubleshooting step, I also tried using a plain long text field with the address manually entered—but in Page Designer, it just shows a blank square. It’s like the field isn’t registering at all.Is anyone else running into this? Or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve it?

I want to sync my Airtable View with Google Sheets. Is there any option without using third party tools? I tried automation but it is creating a new row even when the entry is updated instead of updating the entry in Google Sheets. I extensively use Airtable for my work but Airtable has limitations in data visualization. For data visualization, I also tried the data studio connector, but unfortunately it is failing frequently. Any related help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
