Hi All! First time in the community. I’ll have a bunch of questions but wanted to know if there’s an easy way to do a formula to convert a duration field from hh:mm (hours and minutes) to hh.hh (hours with a decimal)

I’m an experienced developer with years of experience using SQL and relational databases. I’m having trouble figuring out how to do things in Airtable without something like SQL queries. Specifically, right now I would like to delete a number of records, based on a query. In SQL this would look something like this: DELETE FROM table_name WHERE condition ; In this case, I would like the WHERE condition to be an aggregate, so that I can group by two fields, and then delete all but the record with the minimum value in another field. Is there any way to do this in Airtable? So far the only way I can think of would be to export the data, load it into a DBMS, perform the modification, then import it back into Airtable. I really hope that’s not my only option. Thank you!

Hi, Is there a way to create a form view in a synced table? This option doesn’t even appear in the sidebar (see attached). But if I create a regular table in the same base I get the form-view option back. Thank you

Hi. I have a table of magazines with issue numbers. I added two more to the original imported list but when I sort by issue number it doesn’t put them in numerical order, they are just staying at the bottom of the list. Any idea what I need to do? Thanks Alison

Hi, have a quick question: can I cange the output type of the formula fieldd? Example: I have a column with e-mail (column type is e-mail), I want to create another column where I would take e-mail string and convert it into Barcode type. I use the formula to take the data from first column but then it has the same type. If I then convert to Barcode, the formula is not working anymore and all new lines are not filled in. So, I’m looking if there is a way use both formula and type changing. Thanks!

When I right click on a record and select ‘Send Record’ I can send that information in the Body of an email to someone via email. This is a very interesting idea as a way of immediately sharing information about a Product to a prospect…but, at the moment when I do this, at the end of the email body there is an embedded link statement ’ View in Airtable’. Can I edit the template email to NOT include/show this link ? I worry a client will click on it and then get pissed that they are having to enter in emails information etc.

Hi All - I love Airtable, but I’ve seemed to hit a wall where, based on my use-case, they have priced me out. I have many bases that have several unique collaborators - these are bases for different client projects, so each base has different collaborators. Now, I’m running out of space, and it’s adding up all the collaborators throughout my bases and telling me I’d have to pay $2,500 per year to upgrade to the next tier. This is totally outrageous, not remotely within a reasonable amount to pay for an upgrade to get more storage space. I’d be willing to pay $10-$15 per month like I do for, say Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc…but not $209 per month. Is Airtable not for people like me, who use Airtable like I do? I’m interested to know if others use Airtable this way, and how they can continue to use Airtable? Thank you!

The biggest problem I’m having is the lookup phone number field not able to be copied and the non-lookup field not supporting selecting, copying or texting (only call functions). The second biggest issue is not being able to copy the lookup address field and it not being able to open a map app. The lookup fields seem to be mostly useless on Android, is this just me? I can’t click a phone number, email or address, not even to just copy the data. Has anyone figured out a way to make this work for them? I’ve emailed support but it seems like they take a while to respond to requests. Thanks In Advance!

Just started with Airtable, using the free version at the moment on Firefox / Ubuntu. When I log on, Airtable seems to open to a random base in my workspace. Is it possible to set it to open to the workspace screen so I can choose the base I want to use? Thanks! Dianne R

I have a password-protected view that is embedded in my website. On my mobile browser when the password is entered the page simply reloads without opening the view. I see others have had the same issue, but I can’t seem to find a resolution. Please help. thank you in advance

How would you go about configuring a field so that you can create a dropdown list of years inside of a form? Is it possible for it to dynamically update with the {current year} + {10 subsequent years}? For example, the form field might read something like: 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 etc…

Hi! I have two bases in the same workspace and I am trying to synch one view to another base. On top of it, I use the synced view as a linked field. However, as soon as I use filtering on the view (the one I use to sync), I loose all data on another table. Is there any way to avoid it?

Hello! I’m new to Airtable and have been struggling with how to build a pricing sheet that lists multiple vendors, products, pricing and quantities. We want the pricing sheet to be easily filtered and sorted by price, vendor, etc. And then we want to convert this sheet into a customer calculator to get pricing for products based on vendor, quantity, etc. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Is there a way for me to setup a trigger for when a database record matches a specific condition programmatically for my users who are using my application Example: User X wants to be notified when a new database record created contains a column with a specific value In my application they would select the value they want, and using the airtable SDK i would create a trigger to send them an email Is this possible using airtable.

Hi When a new comment is added to a record, there’s an indicator on the table view which shows the number of comments… Very handy. But it’s not obvious whether there are new comment since the last time the record was viewed. Is it possible to have a “resolve” button against comments (similar to on Google Docs) to close these… Or a “mark as read” function or something similar. It would be great if there’s a way of seeing what comments are new or need to be looked at, Tom

I’m helping a friend create a base to be used for tracking scores at local dance competitions but have trouble figuring out how to get a proper average for each record. Each line will have a different dance, and each one will have anywhere from 3-5 scores entered, so what we need is the Average Score column to average the input records. Anyone have suggestions on the best way to do this? Keep in mind, in this instance there are only 4 judges, other competitions might have 5 and might have 3, so if possible it’d be nice to only average input values, not all 5 columns divided by 5. The correct average here would be 98 but the average of 5 scores (with the 5th empty) would be 78.4 and that would skew the info heavily. Thanks!

Hey! I know you can rearrange the options in the multiple select FIELD. But I need to somehow organize the actual records with selected options. Take a look at the example: You see, it’s a mess! And my actual table has even more different options - it’s not feasible to do this by hand. I would love to find a way to have them all in order. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I wanted to know if any of you have tried -or know of- a way to sync the data on air table with a website. The ideal scenario would be that if “press sync” the website would be updated with the changes I made on airtable. I have heard of air press but the app hasn’t been updated for a while. Is there any other alternative or this could be easily done by an air table expert? Cheers. Seb

Hi, I’m having some trouble integrating Airtable with Quickbooks Online. I am trying to create a purchase request approval base, where a form is filled by users and then submitted as a record in AT. Now two users would have to review the request,i.e. check the budget balance, check the necessity of the request, etc. before both approving or rejecting the request (rejection can be done at any stage). Also, 1st approval has to be given before the second. If both approve, a bill should be created in Quickbooks Online for payment. If rejected, an email should be sent back to the requester informing of the decision. I am trying to use Zapier to integrate but I’m stuck with the filtering aspect. Any help is greatly appreciated.
