Hello Airtable community. I am a designer whose brain is hurting after struggling to get a decent grip on building dynamic databases in Airtable. I have a lot of questions, maybe you have some of the answers? This is my Airtable: Airtable - Hodebra aktiviteter Q1: How can I make sure that any tasks that are marked complete (logget in Norwegian), are reset to incomplete every night (Ikke logget in Norwegian). I have tried to schedule automation, but I can’t find out how to describe the record ID, when using “changing a record” as action. I would like to change ALL the records that has been completed back to incomplete. Q2: How can I summarize the values in a specific field (Score aktivitet) based on the field “Device.ID” In other words, how can I calculate how many points the user (Device.ID) has in “Score akivitet”, “Score sammen” and “Score meningsfylt”?

I have imported a database from CSV to airtable and all the links are broken. is there a way to fix this?

I’m trying to find a way to visualize data across multiple tables in a Flow Chart or Org Chart type view. Imagine one table is a list of projects, and a second table is a list of teams, and lastly a list of people. People belong to a team, and a team is assigned a project. I wanted to create a view that lists the projects, and then draws lines to the teams assigned to each project and then for each team draws a line to each member of the team. From what I can tell the flowchart and org chart apps only work from one self-linking table. Is there anyway to do this on airtable?

Has anyone made sync tables available to all? Like ‘calendars of interest’ in Google Calendar. All sorts of reference data could be pulled into an Airtable base via sync instead of maintaining locally. I haven’t come across any platform or marketplace to browse such tables. Are there any? I guess individual providers could make their own tables available if they chose to. Are there any? I’m sure someone has already thought about all this.

I am having trouble using the fill handle to copy data quickly into a set of cells. (Fill handle - the little crosshairs you get when you select a cell, that allows you to be able to copy from one cell to another by simply dragging - see support article here) I’m not trying to get it to do series copying, where it continues a series or sequence. I would just like to copy the identical data from one cell to several others that are adjacent. I have done this many times in my Airtable work and suddenly it doesn’t appear to want to select multiple cells, let alone use the fill handle to copy. Stranger: In one base it’s working fine, but in another base it won’t work at all, in any of the tables - I drag from the corner and nothing happens. My permissions on these bases are the same. I hope the topic doesn’t seem too confusing… if it is, I apologize for that :grinning_face_with_sweat: So I’m making a database for a pet store, the tables are: Customers table: it contains contact information of the customers (name, tel, email, etc.) Pets table: it contains pet info, 1 attribute called “Owner” linked to the Customers table Now I’m building an Appointment table, which has two linked attributes: Customer: links to Customer table and show the who is the person that book this appointment Pet: shows the pets who are taking the service. I would like make a “filter” for the Pet attribute so that only the pets that belong to the customer I already selected would be able to be selected For example, if I selected a customer ABC, and he/she has two pets, when I select the records for “Pet” attribute, I’d like to only see the two pets he/she has rather than every pet in the Pet table.

Hi, i need your help I’m in the middle of a project and I need to track when the status of each record was modify in order to track the time between phases. I have a column in which i track the status of each sub-project (Received, Processing, Ready) and i will like to analyze the average time is taking me on each of the phases. In the activity panel of each sub-project, i can see how many day ago was change each category, is there any way to transform that data to several independent cells? For example: Column 1 → Status Change to Received: 02/10/2021 10:30am Column 2 ->Status Change to Processing: 02/10/2021 10:40am Column 3 ->Status Change to Ready: 02/11/2021 9:00am With this data i will be able to see how efficient i am at my work and will allow me to improve Many thanks for your help

We are shifting from Salesforce to a much simpler and easier system on Airtable. I need help or a bit of consulting on how to do the following: We have 75 member companies in our small association. I want to have a way to add a member company (with a key contact) Then, let that person add up to 100 or so more contacts - with a password or unique url. And, let the key contact look at their list of contacts - at any time - and add or delete names. Can someone point me to resources to help?

I am trying to send a message in Slack after an Event is created (new event in Google Calendar). There is no clear way to change the timezone format, as the default looks like that: “2021-03-02T17:00:00.000Z” Two questions here: 1 - is it possible to add a separator between Date AND time? 2 - is it possible to change the time zone as it looks like the default is GMT+0

I currently have a Client Database which stores client info and automates scheduling. What I would like to do is create a Client History which would store past appointments, how much clients spent, how much they tipped etc. I’m thinking the way to do it would be to create a separate synced database which would use Their Appt Date/Time at the Primary field. So then when I confirm an appt with a client on the CLIENT base, Airtable creates a new record in the HISTORY base, and this new History Record is associated with the client. Does that seem like a sensible way to do this?

I am trying to import a Google Sheet containing ~500 rows of data into Airtable. Airtable successfully detects the data, including the column labels, but after I confirm and press the “Import” button, it always throws this error. How can I fix this?

I have a table where i am capturing 4-5 data points about different members of a household, such as name, age and education. All this is gathered through a single form, so all the data for a household is in a single record. I want to now split this data into multiple records in a different table - so that i can see the name, age and education of each household member one below the other, rather than in the same row. Is it possible to automate this in airtable?

I am using airtable for invoicing for a transportation company, and we bill by mileage. Ultimately, when billing, I want to be able to choose an origin point from a drop down, choose a destination from another drop down, and have airtable fill in the number of miles between the two locations in a third field. I’m a bit of an airtable newbie, so I’m struggling to figure out how to set this all up. My current base is set up as follows: Table containing a record for each item/route to be billed Table for customer information Table for invoices Currently I am typing in the number of miles for each item to be billed. The routes we run have a finite number of origins and destinations, so it feels feasible (if a little arduous) to calculate up how many miles there are between each origin and each possible destination and store them in a table. I’m experimenting to see if I can make API calls to AirTable from the Swift programming language. I’m able to get the table fields, but I also want to update a field. That isn’t working. Are there examples anywhere?

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, or if it’s even possible. When I Import a CSV file. I would like to have it add to one of my columns that has a Multiple Select column type. So, for instance, if I have a Multiple Select column with the following fields: apples oranges peaches and in one of my rows the column it has: apples oranges and then i import the CSV, and the import has peaches the result would be that it would add peaches to the column. at the moment, it over rights the column. at least in my experiences. thanks for any advice. hope i put this question in the correct section.

Is there any way to hide the Button Title in the calendar view? It would simplify what our team members see in the field and take up less space. The buttons themselves declare what they are for - the title is redundant.

Hi Folks: Any structural advice would be helpful for this Airtable setup. Table 1: List of Judges (Name, Email, etc.) Table 2: List of Applications (Name, Email, etc.) Table 3: List of Groups (Group 1, 2, 3. etc.) that is linked onto Table 1 & 2 for assignment. I can see, of course, who is then been assigned into a group, but it’s difficult for the viewer to just copy out the emails for contact. QUESTION: How could I create a Table 4: Pulls it all together in a “Contact Sheet” for each group. I’d like a table that is sortable by Group but also allows the viewer to easily copy/paste emails out of. So, it would be a grid view. Note, I would like to keep the Judge and Applicants’ information on separate tables vs. combining into one. Thanks for the thoughts/advice.

A simple DATEADD is changing time. SET_TIMEZONE(DATEADD(date,moredays,'days'),'America/New_York') If it is because of daylight savings, does airtable recognize that and have a ‘fix’?

Hi, We are currently experiencing freezing issues in our bases (not just one but multiple) and from different browsers in different OSs (windows 10, MacOS high Sierra, Safari, Chrome, Firefox) where the browser hangs immediately after trying to edit a couple of records using expanded records. Is there anyone else experiencing this? it has only been happening today as the days before everything was fine. We tried removing browser extensions, and as mentioned, it is happening to different users of our team in different operating systems and computers. If someone has advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey all. More questions. Is it possible to grab/sync info from one workspace’s db/tab to another’s? I have course listings that I need to grab/sync into another workspace. I just need to be able to select them(multiple for some), but not change it in the destination.

Seems simple but I am struggle. i have the adress of my website on one colum lile Column D : www.site.com I have some slug in another on like Column E : - “page1/” on row 1, “tomato/” on row 2 I want to display in one colum the sum of the two, like D & E. www.site.com/page1/ www.site.com/tomato/ I know it’s basic, but I haven’t found so far… I was thinking I need roll up, but it say “You need a link field to create a rollup. Create the link field before configuring this rollup field.”. And I don’t get it ( maybe because I am french).

Here is a sample Airtable Lookup Test - Airtable Explore the "Lookup Test" base on Airtable. I would like Jobs::Total to show a sum of the Hours::time when Jobs::Work Order matches Hours::Work Order. How can I do this without manually linking each hours record? Thanks

I have Airtable integrated with a third party app, where all data collections automatically flow into Airtable. Two main fields that get loaded into Airtable are a user-entered Date and Time. I’d like to create a third formula column in order to add these two together to get a Date & Time Airtable field. Does anyone have any suggestions on the formula to use here? I’ve experimented for days with no success. Thanks in advance!
