I'm using Airtable to keep updated physical therapy notes for learners in a special needs school. All PT students and I fill out a form that feeds into a table to keep the daily notes. This is all fine until trying to fill out the information for group sessions but having it feed into each learners' individual notes. What I need to be able to do is select all the learners present in the group, fill in the general session notes (I.e. date, time, what activities the group did) and then have the form open a section for each of the learners to have an individual section to be able to write up their individual performance. This single form then needs to feed into individual records in the main database table. To try and make it clearer, if there are three learners in a gross motor group (child A, B and C) I need the main database to reflect the following:For child A - the date, time and general group info, Child A's individual performance in the group but NO information related to child
I am looking for a Chrome extension that sort of acts as a reverse web clipper. The extension should take data from Airtable (or alternatively a csv-file) and put it in certain input fields of a handful of selected websites. I would like to be able to select the input fields via css tags. Does anybody know an extension that would be suitable for the job? Thanks in advance!
Hi,I have a database for planning a vegetable garden, within it there is a table for vegetables which contains a field called 'avoid', this links to records in the vegetables table that this plant shouldn't be planted near. I would like to do some sort of rollup / lookup to show a list of vegetables that need to avoid this plant.Beans need to 'avoid' onions. In the onions record I'd like to see field that says onions are 'avoided by' beans. This is similar to a two-way link where one person becomes their daughter's mother after making the link.Any ideas? Thanks.
I run an event. Participants can suggest multiple different types of program items to have (talk, workshop, etc.). Since Airtable doesn’t support form logic (grr) this requires multiple forms, as each item has different requirements (for a workshop I need to know room layout, for a performance I need to know A/V needs, etc.). I noticed that a single table can support multiple form views, so in theory I can gather all this data in one place, which is great. But to do that, I need some way to indicate which form the data came from so I know which item type it’s for. Airtable also doesn’t support hidden form fields (grr!). It will look bad to have a form that says “Workshop Proposal Form” and then have a question for “What kind of item is this?” with “workshop” as the only answer. So is there any way to create a form key of some kind? Or am I stuck making one table for each type of item, or doing some hacky workaround like creating fields called email-workshop and email-talk and using tho
I have set up a view and I’d like to be updated whenever there is an update to that view in Airtable. That means, when someone does @me in a record, I’d like to be notified in slack. Unfortunately, the slack integration does not seem to trigger any notification when there is a comment added to a record. What gives?
I have created a marketplace using Softr and Airtable.I am trying to figure out two issues:1. I have lots of records and want to create a field for signup, with the URL pointing to the sign-up in in Softr. Is there a way to input the URL into one row of a record and then copy that into every sign-up record?2. Going forward whenever I create a record, I would like that the sign-up field will be automatically populated with the URL. How do I do that?Ideally, I would like to have the Signup in the Softr record (card) directly point to the appropriate URL but it seems it will allow me to map only through Airtable. 😞Thanks a lot in advance.
I have been playing around with @Justin_Barrett’s excellent script “Parent Child tree hierarchy” (Parent Child tree hierarchy). The output of this is a text field with any separator you like, for example: World > UK > London > Hammersmith > Elspeth Avenue > Joe’s Cafe World > France > Paris > La Defence > BNP Paribas World > USA > New York > Manhattan > Central Park Question - is there any way to extract the #3 item (or the #2 or #4 for that matter) from these text strings? In this case, to pick out “London”, “Paris” or “New York”. I assume this should involve counting 2 instances of the separator (“>”), and then selecting the text from there up to the next separator.
This may be an issue more with our organization's strict IT rules but here is the situation:We have a type 2 email account that hosts all of our events on its calendar. When we initially started with Airtable, we used the outlook integration and was able to access that type 2 by using one of our work emails that subscribes to that type 2 calendar as the sync configuration source.ex. connected accounts>raethgu's outlook>events calendarOne day the sync was broken and in an attempt to re-establish the integration, a coworker updated the sync configuration source through their outlook accountex. connected accounts>coworker's outlook>events calendarIt looked fine until we noticed all the tasks and subtasks and comments were gone. We believe using that different source erased all the existing records and replaced them with the same records (since it was the same calendar). Our goal is to make the integration independent of any person's outlook account but here are the caveats:When
Hello,We have a table that syncs with our outlook calendar that we have been using for a few months now. Our organization adds events every week, for some reason when they were added to the outlook calendar today, Airtable made dupes of each one. I can confirm there are no duplicate events on the outlook calendar itself, but I do notice that Event 1 and Dupe 1 have different outlook IDs. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution to remove the dupes? Thanks.
How can you export all the PDFs/images/etc in attachment fields?
Hi. Has anyone managed to integrate Airtable with Canva using Zapier? I have only seen the option to integrate with onlizer so far....we've been trying with Zapier but the designs aren't appearing anywhere on Canva.
Hi folks, I am going out of my mind! Everything was working perfectly until I deleted some data in my table and now BAM it's all gone to total rubbish! If anyone can help I would be hugely grateful. Quick summary - I have one base with two tables; ID and Conversations. I want to connect a unique numeric number to a user email so when information is zapped in it connects the numeric number with the correct email. ID table houses the unique number and email. It was all working fine but, as mentioned, I deleted about 20 rows and it has stopped. I have reset the link/look up and it worked on the existing rows but not on anything new coming in. The screenshot below shows (with the face stickers - sorry, it has confidential data that I can't share), Columns Project ID, Email Lookup and Link to ID Record and as you can see (if the stickers were not there!) it was working perfectly and then at the end you can just see the last one worked and then the further two rows did not p
Hey Airtable Community! 👋As @GCheung, @MaddieJ, and the incredible Airtable team gear up for the exciting re-launch of our community, you’ve probably noticed we’re heading into some “read-only” days (Feb 21 - Feb 28). Whilst we wait for the migration to take place (and eventually the big reveal 🎉), I wanted to make myself available if you need any help, have burning Airtable questions, or just want to chat about automations and solutions in the meantime.Feel free to reach out to me directly via Private Message (if they will still work?), or most probably via email at mike@automaticnation.com — happy to be a resource while the community gets its well-deserved glow-up! ✨Looking forward to it all!Mike, Consultant @ Automatic Nation
Hello Community,I want to sync all Airtable data into Power BI to create a dashboard. Is there any other way to fetch data from Airtable to Power BI besides this method?https://support.airtable.com/docs/visualizing-airtable-records-in-microsoft-power-bi-power-queryThanks.
Upon pasting the data, I keep getting this error. Please suggest how to resolve it.
HelloSorry about the title. Actually, I don't really know how to ask it correctly.Basically, I want the circled value to be the sum of the above 'Max' values. In this case, I expect 500 + 100 = 600.Is there any alternative to achieve that since I cannot switch the function to SUM; otherwise, the MAX would be lost...I goal is to show that sum "600" somewhere. Thanks
I have created an airtable base to see what steps different organizations need to take. I have a list of all of the steps in one table. And a list of all organizations in another. I have a linked column connecting the two to show what steps each organization has taken. I am trying to make it so I can easily see the steps that an individual organization has NOT taken yet/ what they still need to do (They all have to do all of the steps). I don't necessarily care how it is done as long as I don't have to do it manually and can easily see what steps have not been taken by each organization. For example, I want Organization 2 to say that it still needs to do steps 15, 19, and 20 (the steps do not have to be done in order for the most part).Images and an example base are attached for a better understanding of what I am trying to get at. Using Zapier, I am trying to lookup the “full name” field of a linked record by using the record id of that linked record. The record ID is the relevant record is returned by Zapier - so I should be home and hosed, right? However, This post seems to suggest that I cannot serach by record id unless I first define a “record id” field in my linked table (using the formula RECORD_ID()). UPDATE This works RECORD_ID()="<TriggerValue>(Step 1: Record Id)<TriggerValue>"
I understand that this may not be the appropriate place to ask my question in the Airtable Community, but I've found some very intelligent users, so I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to proceed.I want to integrate a dynamically filtered table from Airtable based on user selections to questions in a Fillout form. The goal: any clients can select our employees from a dynamically filtered table that shows in a Fillout form based on their needs. The table contains several columns: Name (single line text), Job (multiple choices: computer skills, math skills, English skills, and teaching skills), Working Experience (single choice: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), Recommendation Letter (single choice: yes, no) and Availability (available/non-available) in Airtable.I was successfully able to integrate some questions that are integrated from Airtable, such as job, working experience, recommendation letter, and availability, because they are categorized, but I have no idea how I can display a dynamically fil
I know there are a number of Noloco users who use Airtable as the back end, and I'm hoping for some advice.I have a fairly complex app and due to some changes my clients IT team made the magic links and password reset emails not longer get to the users. Noloco support is recommending I clone the app under a new name which should work as long as the new name is acceptable.Has anyone had experience with cloning apps (I've done it but not with a larger live app)? Is there anything I should watch for or be aware of?Thanks.
I can’t figure out how to center align a column. Surely I can do this?
I have a task table and some have linked records to a subtask table. Is there a way to get the subtasks to show up on a timeline view page that the source is the task table? If not, is there any other suggested way of managing subtasks that would allow this that isn't a long text with rich text checkboxes? Thanks!
Hi there, I’ve added a new custom field to my primary view and put it the order I want it to be with my other fields. When I navigate to a secondary view that custom field is alllllll the way at the end of my view (not where it is in my primary view). Is there a way to customize the field so that it’s at the beginning of every view? Does that make sense?
I have tried all week, very unsuccessfully, to get my company's account upgraded from Team to Business. I have submitted multiple sales contact forms and help desk tickets. Nothing but crickets. Is there any DIRECT line to a human sales person at Airtable that can assist, today, in getting our company switched over? We were supposed to roll out AT to our entire research team today but because I could not get it hooked into Okta, we had to delay for...well who knows now.
Hi All,I've been working on customizing a script for an air table base I'm building, and I've hit a wall with fixing the section about copying over dependency (linked record field) from the template tasks table into the active tasks table. I need the newly created tasks in the "Active Tasks" table to have dependencies mapped to each other as instructed by the "Template Tasks" table. Here is how my base is set up: Newsrooms Table"Revenue Services Link" → Links to "Template Revenue Services" Table"Create Template Tasks" → Button Field"Link to Active Tasks" → Links to "Active Tasks" Table"Onsite Ad Ops Tasks Created" → Checkbox/Boolean"Newsletter Ad Ops Tasks Created" → Checkbox/Boolean"Strategy and Execution Tasks Created" → Checkbox/Boolean"Branded Content Tasks Created" → Checkbox/BooleanTemplate Revenue Services Table"Template Task Links" → Links to "Template Tasks" TableTemplate Tasks Table"Task Name" Single Line Text Field"Dependency" Linked Records in "Template Tasks" Tab
