I am a lawyer and I use Airtable to analyze facts for litigation: i.e. I list all of the relevant facts (like a chronology), then link them with people, issues, etc. In the Airtable, I have a field listing the source for the fact. I use a “bates number” – a unique identifying number stamped on each page of a document in litigation. Most bates numbers look like this XYZ-ABC-000123456. Is there a way to have the computer take the bates number field from Airtable, find a document that has the same bates number as the filename of a pdf (e.g. XYZ-ABC-000123456.pdf), and add that file to the attachment filed of the record? I can point the tool to the particular folder that has all of the pdfs. Many thanks

Has anyone had issues with a base dissapearing?? I have a base that is suddenly not available anymore. Is there a history feature where you can see if a base has been deleted accidentally, and is there any way of recovering that base? Thanks!

At this point we are trying to create magic and we are in WAY over our heads… Heres our issue… We have all of our data structured in multitude of google sheets, and all of the data is in airtable… We also have a website that dynamically connects to airtable… We are tracking an esports league and 13 teams as of now, and need some things to track top 5 stats, player season and lifetime stats, as well as something easy to keep updated so we can eliminate sheets since the website connects better with airtable. Hi there! I’m fairly new to using airtable in my workplace. We track quit a bit of packages from various couriers - UPS, DHL, FedEx. Does anyone know if there is a way to easily link the tracking details from a specific courier’s website into a base so that parcel updates appear within a field? Thanks in advance!

I have a template set up in Page Designer in one base that took a lot of time to build out. We had to restore an old version (just a few days older, the template still existed) of the base as a new/separate base, but the app configuration didn’t transfer over. I don’t want to build it out from scratch on this new base, is there a way to transfer my Page Designer settings or copy them from the old base into the new base? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize my contracts and their extensions. For example: Company A has Contract Alpha and Contract Beta. Initially, Contract Alpha was to be complete on 1/30/2021, but Company A has chosen to extend their contract to end on 2/10/2021. The extension to the Alpha contract will have a different PO number, budget, etc. so they will have different ‘internal codes’ that we use to track the progress, deliverables, timeline, etc. What I’m looking for/trying to figure out: The best way to have the contract extensions be set up like a contract and subcontract(s) relationship so that they are ‘nested’ somewhat like this, but in Airtable form: Company A Alpha Contract Alpha contract extension 1 Alpha contract extension 2 Alpha contract extension 3 Beta Contract Beta contract extension 1 Beta contract extension 2

Good day all! New Airtable user here. I’m experimenting with Airtable Pro to gain some functionality over Google Calendar for planning complex jobs across multiple manufacturing departments within our facility. I’m using it as a glorified calendar and I’m trying to get over a couple hurdles I cannot figure out. I need to export about 12 different Google Calendars into Airtable, which I’m able to do by exporting each Calendar as an .ics file, and importing that file into Airtable. Here’s where I run into two MAJOR hurdles. I need to be sure I maintain the NAME of each Google Calendar as it’s imported into Airtable, into a field titled “Department”. For example, I have a Google Calendar named “Material Arrival”, and I have a department in the drop-down menu titled the same. However, when I import the .ics file, I do not get an option to map the Google Calendar’s name to any field. Nor do I seem to have an easy option to automatically set the Air

Hello the community, my table has a list of projects (one line per project) with monthly income and a number of months, thus calculating the yearly income per project (one column for monthly amount and one column for number of months) and per year if i sum all the lines. i am trying to create a view so I can visualize (in a dashboard) my forecasted revenue per month that includes all projects. The problem is that my table does not provide in which specific months the monthly revenue applies. I also have a column with project start date and a column with project end date but I am not sure how i can use it to capture a monthly revenue per project. i hope my explanation is clear enough. Hi there! I am having trouble finding an easy way to clean my base of deleted records from a source file. Context I am using a base to monitor projects for an innovation program. Each project has an unique ID. These projects come from exports from an external platform (CSV files). I then import the data into Airtable to manage these projects easily, very regularly. However, if a project is deleted on the external platform (and thus does not appear in the “master” CSV file), I can’t find a way to delete it automatically in my Airtable base. Need I can easily import new projects using the unique ID but I can’t really find a way to compare the “master” CSV file that I use for the import with my “slave” database in Airtable. I would like to figure a way to detect (using the unique ID) the records that have been deleted from the “master” CSV file but are still present into my “slave” base. Is this something tha

I have previously granted someone on my team access to a base within our project workspace. I now would like to grant them access to the entire workspace but am having trouble figuring out how to do so. I can’t be the first person that has done this before, can someone help me identify what I’m missing? Thanks! I have tried sending them a new invite link for the whole workspace, but it is not granting them access when they click the link, they only see the base they already had access to. I then tried deleting their access to the base and sending the link to the workspace again, but now they don’t have access to anything upon clicking the link. This is very frustrating!

Morning all. I have a base I’m working on that calculates overtime, It also compares the overtime shift worked to an employee’s scheduled shift. I have a set of DURATION fields for each employee - Mon Start, Mon End, Tues Start, Tues End… for all 7 days of the week. Based on the day of the week our OT shift works, it shows the appropriate day’s shift. I’m pulling the start date of an event from one table (Overtime Events), the employee’s normal shift from another table (Employee Data), and the calculation is in a 3rd table (OT Shift Data). I’m trying to concatenate the DATE ONLY from when an overtime shift begins, and the DURATION field from the employee’s info, to create one date field I can use for other calculations. None of the date/time formulas seem to give me the results I’m looking for. Can anyone please offer any advice?

Hello! :slightly_smiling_face: I am in the midst of setting automation about email reminders. I’ve read about “trigger email reminder on specific date”, and I’ve successfully created email triggered by google calendar event (I set it on 3rd every month). The thing is, I need to set 2nd automation: when there’s no record created between 5th date of the month before until 5th date of this month. For example, when there’s no record created from 5th January 12.01 until 5th February 11.59, there must be an email sent to remind my team to create a record). May you help me with what function or anything I can work with? Thank you in advance!

I’m looking for a way to automate filling a airtable form link multiple times . I have to manually submit a request each time which is frustrating. I intend to submit a list of text /hyperlinks (in a file such as CSV preferably ) and then automate submitting it to a given form. The form is one time accept only and one needs to re-open the given link and submit the given text/hyperlink. If not possible for a form how can I submit it to a table let’s say?

Hi, I’d like to have a view that shows only the records that are created when a form is filled out and then sent. I sometimes add records mannually in a table, but most of the time the records will be created by someone (client) that fills a form. I’d like to have a view for only those records. Does that exist ? Hi everybody! I am trying to visualize/compare the number of people interested in each type of movement class on different days and times, so I want to make a bar chart of the information within each Class Type record. For instance, I would like to get a bar chart comparing all of Flow Yoga’s field values in the first row of my table (see screenshot below). This is very simple to do with something like Google Sheets, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it with the Chart App. Am I missing something? Thanks so much! -Allie

I am creating a calendar using dates from records. The records are all associated with different statuses depending on their life cycle. When someone clicks on the record in the calendar, it expands to show ALL of the fields - many or which are not relevant depending on the records status. Is there a way to hide fields in calendar view (the same way you can do in grid views)? I understand you can hide and show fields per record, but this is impossible, I have too many records which switch between different statuses. Please tell me there’s a solution that I am missing…? Also how does the calendar view decide what fields to hide? The number of fields hidden does not correspondence to any other view I have created??

I’m currently creating a web app where I’m pulling data from Webflow and Memberstack using Zapier. I have 2 separate tables. Table 1: On this table, I have a list of provinces each as a checkbox field. So if a real estate agent is licensed in a province, that province gets a checkmark. So if they’re licensed in Ontario, the “ON” checkbox field gets checked. Table 2: On the second table, I have a list of requests where there’s a province single select field, so if a request came from Ontario, “ON” gets selected. Right now, I need to have a reference field that assigns these requests from table 2 to the real estate agents that are licensed in the matching province. So if Request 1 came from Ontario, all real estate agents from Ontario should get assigned that request. Can anyone help me with this please? Totally stuck right now

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of a way that I can merge multiple tables into one table that constantly updates. Basically I have an accounting workspace that I am setting up and really like. But ideally in a base, I would like to have different worksheets for different revenue and expense categories, but also one sheet that summarizes all of those. For instance, I want a sheet for payroll that has all the information related to payroll (confirmation numbers, amounts, payee, etc. etc.), but then I would like another sheet for say office and managerial expenses and another for travel expenses (not that much of that is happening right now!). Then, I would like another sheet that shows all the expenses (say by date paid) and gives a summary of them (with less detail obviosuly, since details for payroll and travel expenses may not line up).
