Hello Airtable community! As many of you, I am really excited by the new sync and automation features but I am stuck. This is my first question so I hope I will be clear enough. I am working for a distributor and I manage 2000 product information (tech sheet, product description, photos…) from 80 different vendors. Some information can be sensitive so I cannot let my vendors access the data from other vendors. Since it is not possible to give a specific access to the Airtable base, I looked into the ‘portals’ proposed by Stacker or MiniExtension but the features are too limited for my need. So, I created one base per vendor so they can upload their product information and I synced them into one master base. But now, I have 80 different tables ^^’. This is why I would like to create an automation to gather all those product information within the same table. Do you know if it is feasible with Airtable automation? That would help a lot! I would like a record to be automatically updated with a text string equal to the name of the view. To be clear: If a record is visible in view, then (over)write the name of the view in the “view” column.

Hi Everyone, Very new to Airtable but I can’t find the answer here on how to solve my issue. (I’m sure I’m just doing something wrong)… I’m trying to convert a mm measurement into a UK shoe size (293mm == UK Size 10) I have a customer consultation table which takes in a mm value - I’d like it to lookup that input in a separate table and then return the UK Shoe size and add it to the consultation table (to save manually going back and forth). One issue is also needing it to ‘round up’ the mm field (UK size 9.5 is 286mm so 287,288,289,290,291,292 & 293 are UK size 10) Is there a way to do this?

I am trying to build a software for investment realestate. I have 2 data bases. One is my buiding the other is my clients. I want to see : 1) For one building all my relative clients and 2) For one client all my relative buidings There are 5 common criterias for each client and each buildings. These criteria are %, and text fields which are choose among a multiple choice Ie A client can search Office, wharehouse etc… But a building has alway on main destination Whare house (sometime 2 but it is rare) How can I match that in air table ? Hi, the title says it all. I’m looking for a way to integrate an airtable form into a webpage where visitors can download a document. But before they can do that, they have to let us know who they are. Can I use airtable for this? Kind regards

I have a single select field “Day of Week” with Mon, Tues, Wed, etc, etc. I would like to be able to sort my table in that order - but it seems like we only have the option to sort alphabetically (which results in an incorrect order). Once this table is ordered properly, I’m assuming that order will refer over to the linked field in my other tables - is this correct? Is this sorting possible? Thanks for the help

Hello. I’m trying to create a zap with zapier that will trigger when there is a new airtable record in the view, and then it will post it to my social media. The problem is that I want to import the csv to the table instead of doing it all manually, but I can only import my file to the view when I create a new table, but if I’ll just create a new table with the csv already imported and then turn on the zap, it won’t post all of the imported content. So I want to create a filter that will clear the view, then turn the zap on, and then I’ll remove the filter. So I was suggested to create a filter something like this: one of the rows in the table: contains: eg: skdjfhksdjhfkjsdhfk But I didn’t understand how this will work and what should I write instead of skdjfhksdjhfkjsdhfk and instead of the example row in the table because he said I should write skdjfhksdjhfkjsdhfk but he sent a screenshot with kajdfhkjadfkjahfs So I don’t know which one I should use, or if I should use a differen

Hey Airtable Community! I’m currently trying to create a formula that can show me the highest performing employee at any given time based upon the total revenue produced by said employee. I currently have a Table within my Workspace titled “Employees” where I’m able to sort by the highest-performing employee by using a rollup from my “Customer Orders” Table. However, there is a table called “Clubs” where I want to be able to show the highest-performing employee in a separate field driven by a formula that reads a rollup of Employee-orders. Please refer to the photos below for more context: As you can see, each order placed within the club deposits to the “Clubs” table within the “Customers” linked records, along with a Lookup field showing the name of each employee responsible for each sale. I want to write a formula that counts the number of instances of each employee and finds the MAX string (in this case, “CJ” since he has the most orders for Club #2, and places the name in the fie

Hello everyone, I’m wondering if someone might know how to help with this. I’m looking to paste a LinkedIn URL into a field in a new record, and have this event trigger an AutoFill for the rest of the cells in that record, sourcing the data from the relevant fields at that URL? Example: Paste URL for User A Source and AutoFill: First Name Last Name Profile Picture About Me Section Phone (If any) eMail (If any) Company(ies) Job Titles etc. Is there any way to create an (automation/integration?) to AutoFill fields with data sourced from these kinds of specific fields on LinkedIn, or any other website? I hope this isn’t too complicated, this takes forever to do manually, ha. Thanks everyone.

I have a base with 2 tables. Table 1 is my “Contracts” table, Table 2 is my “Renewals” table. Both tables contain a field “contract n°” Every time a contract is being renewed an extra record is entered into the “Renewals table” I have now imported my existing data in the 2 tables. I don’t see how I can automatically link the 2 tables. I want to be able to click in table 1 and then get a view of all renewals for that contract only. I have far to much data to individually select records fom table 2 using linked record fields. I’m probably missing out on something?

(e.g. Multiple desktops, Smartphone, Tablet etc.) I have a couple of desktop workstations around my office which I want to keep logged in to my airtable. I don’t really want to keep logging in on each different device when I need to use it. Ideally I would like to switch seamlessly between each workstation e.g. create a record using my main computer, then continue working on that record at… and I would like to know the answer as well. Hi. I’m really enjoying the sync feature that was recently released. I currently have tables from multiple brands’ bases synced to my team’s base. Each sync table has the same 9 fields for uniformity. My ultimate goal is to consolidate the records from each of these sync tables into one table, so that I can assign date-specific tasks to my team. The easy part was getting this data into my table. I used the automation “When a record enters a view -> Create Record.” The hurdle I’m facing is that the synced tables I’m pulling from are getting updated with new publish dates, newly created notes, etc. Is there a way for the records in my table to automatically update when records in a synced table get updated? One thing I tried was another automation: “When a record is updated -> update record,” but I couldn’t figure out what to enter into the mandatory Record ID field. If you haven’t guessed, I’m a newbie to scripting and coding and such, but I am open to any and every suggestion. I

When I create a form is there a way to link it to an already created base? For example I have a CRM base. Many of the client info is already in the base but now I want to add birthday and mailing address? Can I link the form so they can input the info but it populates the already created record?

Hi There! I am trying to figure out how to create a multi-month drip campaign. It would look something like this: #1 I sent a form to a client, who then fills out the form, including with their email address #2 One month later they automatically receive an email from me #3 Two months later they receive another email #4 Two months later they receive another email #4 Three months later they receive one final email I am trying to figure out the easiest way to do this. Curious what people are using that seems to be cleanest? Airtable automations? Zapier? Something else? I am NOT super technical, but LOVE have made Airtable work for me in incredible ways so far!!

Is there a way to have different view settings individual stacks of kanban cards? For example: “Doing” stack needs to show the title, notes, linked project, due date, etc, “Done” stack needs to show the title, linked project and possibly due date. All other info is no longer needed once the item is complete. Anyone know how to achieve this?

Looking for advise/assistance in completing an efficient Integration from AT > GS. Let me start by saying that I know very little about scripting. I have seen some posts about getting AT data into GS, along with some pre-written scripts to do so. Thank you to those who have done so! I have additional steps that ZAP from GS to other GS after the data transfer, so using one of them that I found was over triggering my “future” ZAPs. My Current Setup: *New Record in AT = ZAP new Row to GS. *Multiple views in AT (new to view = Zap specific fields to GS). these are status update views (one for each status) that only pull certain Fields into GS from the ZAP. ie: status change, date, new/old kiosk serial#, contractor. *using ZAP (row=updated - seeing all columns) to then push data from MY GS to customers GS (which *changes weekly :frowning: ) - so simply copy the ZAP and change the parameters to match their new sheet every Friday. Hello, My wife just started using AirTable. As part of her job, her employer wants her to track Testimonials. Currently, the AirTable program has all the Testimonials listed in order, from 1-70. Her employer want her to add-in new Testimonials at the END of the list-- so most recent Testimonials will be the higher numbers in order. However, the program is causing any NEW Testimonials to instead be listed as #1, and then moving the rest of the Testimonials down a number position. Is there any way to adjust the settings to do what she wants? Thank you!

Hi Airtable friends, I am trying to prefill a form using parameters and then submit the form trough parameters in one URL. I am using the form prefill parameters to prefill the form like this. That works (?prefill_Form+example=blabla) Is there a Parameter for Submit? What I am trying to accomplish This will be used in a newsletter. The parameters will tell us who clicked the URL and populate airtable + send a e-mail using zapier. If there is a good alternative for this, that would be great aswell. :slightly_smiling_face:

Syncing a record with automator fails due to insufficient permissions. I’m a creator on the bases, so not sure whats the root cause.

Zapier can help make Airtable do awesome things, but I’m finding it intensely frustrating when developing and refining a new Zap that a backlog of Airtable records can develop that should be candidates for processing by the Zap, but wont be processed at all because they are no longer ‘new’ records in the view. Even if I create a dummy view using same filters, and assign the Zap to process the records in that view it still wont work because the records are already in that dummy view when the zap is assigned. Other problems occur if I assign the zap to the dummy view then update the filters to populate it because there is no initial candidate record to test and validate the Zap. What is the best practice way to manage this? Its driving me mad!

Hey all, I recently added a new base to my Pro Plan utilising the new sync function. I have added barely any information to it, however, it is saying it is over limits. When I check the billing page it looks to be in all below the required maximums. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I’ve seen some of the templates, such as this one include a popup welcome window that explains the different areas of the base. Can I use a welcome popup in my base? It’s a resource collection, designed to be accessed by lots of non-contributors, usually on a one-time basis but occasionally repeating. Thanks in advance!
