Is there a method for taking a column of information or parts of and by clicking a box moving over to a new Table? What I doing is building a Casting database. 1st Table has all the actors listed by Age, Sex, Ethnicity. This page has pictures and contact numbers. I want to be able to go in check the ones I want to consider for a job, then have the checked ones duplicate over to a new Table. (Table 2) From here I have the director rate A,B,C their choice. Once we have contracted one of their, we would click another box and move those ones alone over to a new table (Table 3) “Contracted”. Is this kind of linking or moving information possible in Airtable?

I can’t figure this out: It’s about a voting system to vote for songs a specific artist should play on a specific event/date. I need to gather and visualize a chart with these votes for each event/date. I can get record entries in a table “Votes”. A “Vote” has 10 columns for 10 questions that can be 0 or 1. It also contains a name, date and can be linked to an “Event” The other table is called “Events”. An “Event” is bound to a Date and typically only has one artist. I need to sum up all votes per event. In a 3rd table i have the “Artists”. Each artist has 10 values for the questions, which contain specific song_names for that artist. So voting for Event A with artist B will have different voting values (read = song titles) than voting for Event B with artist C. So i just get 1 or 0 values in a “Vote”-record. Most important is

I’m not exactly sure if it’s currently possible to do this with Airtable, and I have been searching for a while, so if anyone knows how I can do this, I would appreciate the help. So I have attached an image of an example of the kind of base we are using. My organization will be using this for user acceptance testing, and each base will consist of a table for each of the testers. Each table is essentially identical. They all have the same columns, and everything up to the breaker/divider (Product Area, Acceptance Requirement, and Instructions) will have identical records as well across tables. Each tester has their own table, and fills in the fields after the divider (Status onwards). Hi there I have created a table for a client who needs to record the dates visits are made to a site. We note the dates in one cell, separated by commas. We would like to use this data to view the total number of visits. Is there are way to count comma separated values in Airtable? Thank you!

How can I change the default view that is used during record lookups and when I follow linked records? I’ve tried putting the view I want to use in these cases into the top position, this does not work. I think that maybe when I view a linked record it is using the last view I used for the linked table. I can live with that. But when I try to add a linked record to a linking field, the lookup window that seem to include all kinds of fields in the list of matching records that I’ve hidden in the first (default?) view (and the last one I used). This is annoying since virtually no useful data ends up showing in this list. How can I get the list to honor the either the first (default?) view or at least the last view I was using in that target table?

I am looking to have a record move from one table to another once it has “delivered”. I am using AT as a project manager for client orders. Each line on my base represents one order, the main descriptor is the “PO#” or Purchase Order Number. I would love it if once a PO delivered and I select “Delivered” on a single select field it would move that full line to a new table in the base. I am sure this is something people have asked about already but I am struggling to find an answer.

I run a music school. I use a Form on our website to provide my staff with a database table of information provided by each potential new student inquiry. Once our staff contacts an inquiry and marks them as ENROLLED, I’d like to move that student and some of their info to another Table that will allow our staff to view a table of Enrolled students by teacher, date, time, instrument. I’ve been trying to work our Linking Tables for this, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Just wondering if I’m missing something obvious, or are you unable to Link unique information like the individuals/students name, etc. Thank you!

I’m looking for a way to have a calendar view of upcoming birthdays. I can use the formula below to show the CURRENT year’s birthdays but I also want the calendar to show NEXT year’s birthdays so that in December 2020, I could look at the Calendar and see the January 2021 birthdays. I am looking for advice on moving (or actually copying) a record to a table after it’s been imported via a form. I have one sheet that manages my sales pipeline. A 2nd sheet contains records from an external web form. Most of the records are cold leads, that I want to leave on that sheet. But some I want to convert to the sales process sheet by selecting a Single Select field “move to lead” and then have it make a copy of the record on the active sales process sheet. Any ideas?

Hi, I exported a view to csv file so I could work on it and ID duplicates for some of my data. However, when I compare the csv export with the data in the table, the order of the rows in the csv appears to be random and does not follow the same order in my table. How can I export to csv and maintain the same order I have in my table? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, i’m new to airtable. I try to configure a backlog for my business. I created a base with 2 tables. 1 table named project (name | contact client | Status) 1 table named tasks (name of the task | Status of the task) I linked the tasks table to the project table. In the kanban view of the project talbe, i’m able to see my tasks in my cards. But i want to know if it’s possible when i move my cards to different status to display only the tasks corresponding to a specific status ? Thank you.

Hello Airtable community! due to corona pandemic in Germany the sales tax was decreased from 19% to 16 % during the period from 01.07.2020 to 31.12.2020 (DD/MM/YYYY). I have a column which shows the date of performance which is decisive for the tax rate. My formula is accepted by AT but it just seem not to calculate because the result is always 19%. My formula is: IF(AND({Date of Perfomance}>06/30/2020,{Date of Perfomance}<01/01/2021),16,19) Can you find the mistake I made? Thank you for your help in advance! Avi

I have 40+ columns i need to change to the same multiple select options/same colors. Doing it manually is slow and i’m making mistakes/not being uniform. Can you/how do you copy the multiple select options of one column to make multiple other columns like that with just a few clicks? Thanks.

Hi, I’m experimenting the scripting block to provide a simple UI (2 buttons) for non technical users of this base to make an HTTP request when they’re done editing the base. I couldn’t find a way to provide them with the UI of the script without having the “Edit code” button that opens the source code of the script. Is this possible? Thanks Seb

I work in event management and am trying to keep track of our conference speakers. About half of our speakers need hotel rooms. I have a table that keeps track of speakers and the events they are attending. This table has a checkbox field that asks if they need lodging. I have a second linked table that keeps track of hotel reservations. What I want is for a hotel reservation record to be automatically generated when when the “lodging needed” box is checked on the first table. I’ve been told this is possible but I can’t find a formula for it.

Hi, I would like to automatically to be able to move date from one table to another. My scenario is if I have a current client and enter an end date in the current clients table, to automatically move the record to the previous clients table (where I have additional summary data in addition to the fields I have in the current clients table. Might this be possible if I can have some fields in both tables which are identical? Thanks in advance for any help

We’ve designed two forms - one to be sent out via email, one to be embedded on our website. I would like to be able to automatically see in the grid view where the data has come from (i.e., was the “source” form the one from the website or the email)? Anyone know a good way to do this? Thank you!

Hello, currently I have a database on Airtable that lists a contacts name, email, company, email, phone, etc. I’m looking to create a new tab for just their companies, that properly links back to the contacts. For example, it would be pulling all of the companies onto a new tab and then ideally being able to link back to any contacts associated with that company. I’m using Airtable to manage designs for a t-shirt business. I upload the transparent PNG files to the table and I use some tools that need the direct download link for that file. I was able to get the URL for the file using this formula: RIGHT(LEFT(Interior, LEN(Interior) - 1), LEN(LEFT(Interior, LEN(Interior) - 1)) - SEARCH(“https://”,Interior) + 1) But it only opens the file in the Airtable Viewer. I need it to download directly to my computer when the link is visited. Possible?

I created a fairly simple Airtable base to manage clients/orders/products. I started with the sample orders table and simplified it a lot to only what I need. It has tables for Products, Clients, Orders, Order Line Items Now I’d like to use Zapier to upload data from a Google Sheet that one of our retailers uses to send us orders. The retailer pastes their next order details onto a new row of the google sheet. Each row of the google sheet contains data that goes into several tables. Client Name and Address goes in Clients table. Order number and Order date goes in Orders table. Ordered Product Skus and Quantities goes in Order Line Items table. I use a mult-step zap to get the all the data into the correct tables. But something is not right. I am getting extra rows of unlinked data. For example, say the spreadsheet shows Order # 6334 for Avery Taylor. Well Zapier creates 2 clients named Avery Taylor (one has address info and one is blank) And then
