Yesterday 6/4/2020 a new view chooser (not sure what to call it) popped up. It used to be a simple drop down box which worked fine. Now I have this side panel that pops up and stays there. I hate this… I hate all extra mouse clicks, now have have to do extra mouse clicks to hide this. Any way to disable this?

Is it possible to create a new table programmatically When the table reaches 40,000 rows or when a week has gone by? I don’t want to click anything to make it happen. Planning on doing this for a lot of clients. I can do it in google sheets but I’d prefer airtable.

Hi Airtable fam, I’ve tried everything at this point… After banging my head against the wall for a full two days, I decided to stop being a dummy and ask for help. Full disclosure… I am a complete novice on Airtable, having just started to interact with it about a week ago. In essence, what I’m attempting to do is: Retrieve all the records of one table (exercises) Filter by two metrics (match difficulty of the exercise with a “difficulty selector”, + or - 1 on a different table, AND make sure the required equipment for the exercise matches what the user has, again, on a different table.) Paste the RECORD IDs of the exercises that pass the filter into a field in another table (there are usually about 20-30) I’ve been able to get pretty far down the road on my own using Integromat. I have a users table which has a user_id and points field. I have a points_events table which logs each time a user_id receive points for an action I need the points field in the users table to sum the total points associated with that user_id from the records in the points_events table. How can I do this? I need it to be as automatic as possible. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Their must be a way, but I am banging my head trying to figure out formula :frowning: I have a form that asks for First & Last name that goes into an Airtable Grid View, which then is grouped by First & Last Name. Problem is, when someone changes the format or accidentally adds another space when submitting a new form it gets sent to a new group. Example - “John Doe”, " John Doe", "John Doe ", “john doe”, etc… all get sent to different groupings. I am trying to covert all formats to “John Doe”. Thanks for any help!

We need to sporadically export PDFs from our Airtable in order to make these PDFs downloadable by users of our own app. We are using the Page Designer block to create the layouts, but we want an automated solution to export these layouts as PDFs, because the only other way is to “print” the Page Designer block using browser print and then “save as” a PDF. This is time consuming. Currently it looks like the best solution for us is to use the MiniExtension “PDF and Document Generator for Airtable” coupled with Docupilot to be able trigger batch PDF exports: https://miniextensions.com/airtable-generate-pdf/ Please note, this method does not need the Page Designer Block Also, this method will cost hundreds of dollars because we will have thousands of PDFs. Hello, I am new to airtable and i have a challenging task. I am using airtable as a CRM for my business. We want to create a view for records (Leads) with created time between 08:00 PM and 09:00 AM The reason for doing that is because i want to use this view as a trigger for zapier. I could not find any available filter that handle time of the day. I have already created a column that show only time of the day by using the below formula: DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Of Creation}, “LTS”) Please check the image how this data can be used to filter certain time? Is anyone else having an issue/glitch with the Description block, where the curser keeps jumping to the top of the page while you’re typing? It’s very annoying… I hope I am not accidentally hitting a shortcut key, but it keeps happening? I’m using a Lenovo PC.

I have been perusing the community forum and topics trying for hours to create a new date in a field for 6 days out by using a different date field as the base number. For example, I have a field named ‘Lead Mag Date’ where the date is input manually. I would like another field named ‘Day 6 Call’ to automatically populate the correct date for 6 days later. (i.e., Lead Mag Date 7/14/2020; Day 6 Call 7/19/2020. Here is the formula I was trying to create: DATETIME_DIFF({Lead Mag Date}TODAY(),‘days’) + 6, {DAY 6 CALL} = ‘MM/DD/YYYY’) Any suggestions? My organization is in the final stages of determining a project management tool to use. While I love everything Airtable has to offer thus far, a critical need for our organization is the ability to have a “portfolio” or “Executive” view of all ongoing projects etc. I know that this can be done within a specific base, such as “project tracker” by using the blocks feature, however, I am curious if this can be done across multiple bases. For example if i wanted to present to a board of all the updates from the last month, i would like an easy to read one page document with visualization to show the number of social media posts alongside all of the ongoing projects at a high level overview. Is there a dashboard view to create a high level overview across all bases? I have provided a sample image of what I am looking for.

I’d like to use a Kanban style view for assigning categories to items, with the categories being values in another table. The items I want to sort are Organizations, and I want to sort them into career interest areas: e.g. Tech, Government, Design, etc. These Interest Areas are in another table, and are a linked field in the Organizations table. If I group the grid view by Interest Area, I can’t drag and drop the orgs to categorize them. I’d really love to do this in a kanban view - it’s easier to drag and drop items. But when selecting a group by field it doesn’t seem to allow me to use a field from another table, even if I set the field to only allow a one to one relationship. Any other ways to do this that I’m missing?

As the owner of our Airtable database, I get automated email messages when a collaborator adds a record. The message begins with, “Someone has responded to Add a player. A record has been added to the Players table in Directory.” I’ve confirmed that I get those messages when someone adds a record but I don’t know if I get automated email messages when a collaborator updates a record. Can someone here confirm that I should or should not expect to be informed when a collaborator updates an existing record?

Hi there, I have a question about files being deleted from records by an anonymous user. We have our Final Information records, which is made when someone fills out a Final Information Form - in the form people fill out their information and upload files of relevant documentation for us. When a user submits the form, it says “Anonymous submitted via form” since they are not logged in, and it’s not possible for them to edit the form afterwards. But then I can see in the history/timeline on the right side, that files/documents have been deleted with the caption “Anonymous edited this record”. As mentioned, it’s not possible for the person to edit the form after it has been submitted. Can you please help me understand how these files are deleted? It causes a lot of trouble for us since we have to reach out to these people and ask them to send us these documents again. I have attached a screenshot of the timeline. Thank you in advance Emma

Is there a way for the owner of an Airtable database to see a log of collaborator updates? Perhaps a log that shows the date, time, name of the collaborator, table, view used, and the updated that was done?

I have a table with records which contain a STATUS column. I need a Pivot Table to show me the participation percentage of each status in the whole table, but I can’t figure a way to do such a simple thing (at least in other tables/software). Example Status Pending - 15 - 25% Status Phase 1 - 10 - 16.7% Status Phase 2 - 15 - 25% Status Finished - 20 - 33.3% TOTAL - 60 - 100%

Hi everyone, Is there a way to batch update only specific cells within a view? I use CSV Import block to import records for certain properties I’m managing. Each import is many records for one property. I have a view set up for one of many ‘statuses’ that a property could have. When I import, I want all the new records for that property to automatically be set to that status (without having to click and change the cells one by one). I don’t want to have to create a new view for each property that I import and then update the status of the whole view, since there are hundreds of properties and many records per property. I have a Master View that is grouped by property, and I’d love to be able to batch update he status of all the records for one property to a certain status, instead of the whole view.

It creates multiple versions of the same record. My filter is also attached as a screenshot. Wondering if anyone has a similar scenario set up that they can help with / anyone can provide guidance on how to use Airtable as a CMS like this.

Hello, I’m trying to set up an automated form. Essentially, the employee will input a bunch of data while filling out the form, one of which will be a license plate number. Once they input the form and submit it, I want it to show results from the Base that include the specific license plate they wrote. Is that possible?
