Hello Folks, I am totally new to Airtable, I work as a content planning manager, so I want to build a base that’s is collaborative and at the same time keeps sensitive info to their owners, For instance: I have 5 content owners, each is ingesting his data to his view and involuntary to the main base, however, they have some sensitive columns, they don’t want these to be visible to anyone.even if they changed their view to personal, other collaborators can’t see it but still can unhide the columns to the main base or to their own views. What’s the best practice to create such a thing, where everybody is ingesting all information to the same place and hide whatever they want to their own only? Could you please help me with that, thanks in advance to you all.
Hi, I’ve just learned how to set up a simple booking system with Airtable (cfr.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES1RyNPv_Kg). Now, is there any way to automate the meeting availabilities based on a recurring schedule (eg.: for the next 2 weeks from today)? Thanks for your help! :raised_hands:
I’m trying to upload a set of data using the CSV import block - wondering if when you get the warning of ‘2 cell values couldn’t be mapped’ there’s any way to see which cells that is referring to. Does anyone know?
I have a page designer document set up to send to the client using photos the contractor’s uploaded of their work through the various stages. At times these contractors upload wrong, blurry, inconsistent to project photos. Is there a way to choose which photos are attached to the document without downloading, copy/pasting the best photos out of a selection of 500-1000 photos a day?
Hello Airtable Community! I’m using Airtable to keep track of a series of components on a customer site via the Serial Number, location and revision level and am currently trying to merge data from an inspection table and a installation tracker table to spit out the most recent entry entry so that I have an accurate real time master sheet. Unfortunately neither of these are perfectly accurate or complete so they often fill each others data gaps. The current issue I’m having is I can’t seem to find a way to stack serial numbers from 2 fields into a single field. I figured this would be a good way to compile a master list and then use a formula to clear duplicates and keep the most recent entries. If there is a better way about going this I’m all ears as well! Best Regards, Nico
I have data in a pipeline and I am using lookup to pull it into my base. They are connected by the Company name field which is linked. The problem is that we have multiple customers with the same name. (They are churches). Each record is unique but when the lookup runs it pulls in multiples. The example below shows Trinity UMC. This is one specific record but the lookup pulled data from every Trinity UMC we have. How can I get it to look at each instance of Trinity UMC as a unique record? Do I need to connect the two with a different field such as ID#? That would be unique on all 22000 records.
Hello, Is there any body facing the same issue as me? Since June all my tables automatically shows “all views” column as long as I open one and it’s annoying. Might have set up something by accident but didn’t know how to fix it.
Record history is good - but I need it to display the actual dates that events have occurred for each recond. My history column for an expanded record shows things like ‘3 mo’ to indicate that a record update or change was made about 3 months ago. I need the actual date. How can I see that?
I am new to Airtable and am sure I am missing something very basic here. I have a base with a table of clients. I am trying to work with and better understand how to sort my table, but am clearly missing something. I have reviewed the posts I’ve found related to this topic and have not yet resolved my issue. Following the API docs, I have modified my codes as follows. let table = base.getTable(‘Client Appointments’); let result = await table.selectRecordsAsync({ sorts: [ {field: “Client Name”, direction: “desc”}, ] }) All I am trying to do is simply sort my client table by the name column in des order, but the table never changes. If I update my code to include output.table(result.records), then the output displayed following script execution in shows the outputted table with the sort order as defined in my code. However, the actual table remains unchanged. What am I missing that is resulting in the table not sorting as expected? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Bo
Hey Airtable community! I am making a order form for my delivery business in Airtable’s Page Designer block and am running into the problem of having too much information in one text box and all the informaiton from the origional cell not being included. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi, hopefully I can explain what I am looking for. I have several tables - “In the News”; “Events” and “Projects”. Each of those tables has detailed information (date, description, etc.) on each individual event / project / news item. I also have a field in each of those tables that links to a “Topics” table, so I can tag specific topics (e.g. coworking, consulting, affordable housing, etc.) that each news article, event or project could relate to. The problem that I am having is that I want to be able to see the detailed view of Events, sorted by topic. If I sort in the Events table by grouping topics, then events with multiple topics get put in their own separate category (ie if an Event is tagged “coworking” and “consulting” it will show up as its own category, rather than showing twice, once in the “coworking” category and once in the “consulting” category which is what I want). If I go to the topics table and group by topic, I have to click into each linked record to read about ev
The problem is visible in the video. Video Checked for 2 phones with android 9 and 10 versions. If you reload the application, the correct picture will be sent for the first time. All further attempts to send another picture will fail. Pictures will be replaced first.
Hello–I have a simple question that I am struggling to solve. I am trying to calculate the difference between two dates but I need it to count full days. For example in the first record Start date of 1/2 and end date of 1/3 needs to equal 2 and not 1. The same with the 3 record–I need a formula that will calculate this to be 5 and not 4. Thanks in advance.
Hi all. i have some issues to connect airtable and google calendar wit Zapier. it seems that there is always an issue when zapier tries to get the datetime from airtable. Hello, I am trying to create a simple application that does two main things: It allows for the creation of a profile record for a person, with about 100 fields. That profile needs to be updatable using a variety of different forms, depending on who is updating the record. For example, the record will be created when the person fills out their initial intake form, with about 20 fields. Later, different people will use different forms to look at, update, modify, and add new values to other fields in the users record. The forms should be reasonably usable but don’t have to be beautiful, but they must be pre-populated with any existing fields. Once the data is ready, we need to have a way to trigger a webmerge to a document output. Currently this is done in webmerge/formstack and the actual document part of this is working well. So, it might be enough to just integrate Airtable to webmerge/formstack and leave that part alone. It might also be ok to use something like JotForm for th
Hey guys, this is prolly a pretty dumb question but hopefully y’all can help me out with it. I have a Airtable I want to split the views on where something is in the process- I.E. Hi - I’m (somewhat) new to Airtable, I’m trying to figure out how the heck to get a Gantt chart view INTO the calendar view. It seems that this would be incredibly simple, and yet nothing allows me to move or enable that view in the calendar. The system just keeps asking me if I’d like to enable Gantt chart visualization - which I DID download, but it’s just sitting there in the dashboard on the side. Any advice as to how to make this work? Thank you.
I am constrained to link to the same table due to the requirements from the flowchart block. The problem is that as far as I understand, to make a self-link field accepted by the flowchart block, you have to you have to assign the values manually? In my case right now, this self-linking field could be easily automated if I could use a formula field. But again, this it is not picked up by the flowchart block.
Hello all, I am encountering the following problem when working with Airtable. We are currently checking if and how we can set up a structure to access and interpret our data easily. To do that, we need to have data on when items are getting published to our Shopify. Of course, we also need retrospective data of all our items. Meaning we need to know at what time did we upload each item to Shopify. Is there a way to access this data in some kind of way? Meaning is it possible to look up at what time each individual row/item id got created? Ideally, we would know the exact day of upload for each ItemID. If we manage that, I can cross-reference that our remaining database and then start digging deeper into the problem. I hope you understood my question/problem. All the best Johan
Hello - I am just getting set up with AirTable to manage my supply chain. One of our partners requires advanced notice of any in-bound shipments, to include multiple attachments. I’ve created a Shipment Log table to accomplish this, where I can just click “send record”, enter their email, and they receive all of the pertinent info. HOWEVER, the AirTable-generated email they receive has a “View in AirTable” link at the bottom. When anyone clicks this, it shows my entire base, which does include sensitive information such as pricing, other partners, internal comms, etc. How can I send individual records to external partners without giving the option to view anymore than the specific record sent?
Hey everybody! I’m looking for some help and guidance in regards to matching dates and then providing relevant emails that are associated with it. Here’s the situation: A user fills out a form on my website that lists dates and times that they are available (up to 7 dates) I have it zapped into a table. In the backend, I’m manually finding events and uploading it to a different table in the same base. I outline information such as the link to the event, and the date/time it starts. As soon as I put the start date of the event, I want it so that the email of the user that says their available during that time to show up and match, or some sort of organization system that gives me the people that are available for that event at that time. Is there a way to do this? Should I create another table? I added two screenshots for reference. This would be so helpful - thank you. One thing to keep in mind is that there are 7 dates that a user can select, so it would have to scan all of the dat
Hi everyone, we love Airtable but are having some trouble setting up certain integrations. We use Process Street to document our workflow and have a number of checklists set up. However Process Street leaves many things to be desired, which Airtable does well. Our goal is to use Process Street to document processes (with checklists), and have those items Zap’d to Airtable for a high-level overview of where each project is. The problem is, I’ve been struggling to connect the P St checkboxes to the appropriate column in Airtable - the column I want the info to go to is not an option, just the record. I get stuck when I’m trying to select the field for the checked task to appear in Airtable. I’ve tried formatting the column differently and it doesn’t seem to help. Is there an intermediary in Zapier (like formatter) that could help? Any thoughts appreciated.
Hi everyone! I am writing on behalf of my organization. We have qualified for the charity discount, but I am struggling with the best way to set up our team. I am aware that if we upgrade this would be for 1 workspace, correct? And then this workspace’s bases would be part of the paid plan. So im thinking that I would invite all my colleagues as collaborators (users) so that workspace. So my first question is: if I invite my colleagues to the workspace, do they see all the bases that I have created? Or only the bases that are shared with me? And vice versa? I am also wondering, if I am a ‘user’ on a paid account, can I then create another workspace that will have access to the paid base features? Or would that workspace not have the paid features because its a free workspace? Thanks in advance!
There is a new “Views” column that comes up on the left now. I can toggle it off, but it returns every time I open something new. How do I PERMANENTLY toggle it OFF? It takes up too much space and for someone used to using views regularly, it is not needed.
I setup Integromat to watch an Airtable base for a new record and then send me an email notification. It scans the Airtable one per day and keeps on sending me notification daily for records that it already notified me about. Is there anyway to set Integromat to ignore records that it already notified me about?
