Hello Airtable Community, I've started building a Project management tool on Airtable for a marketing agency that sells consultants time.The Project management part is quite straightforward even though I believe this might change based on the agency needs and internal processes.However, I am now facing some difficulties to implement the "Time reporting" part to this tool. (bases are connected) : 1 - Project (information regarding customer, start/end dates, tasks, sub tasks, consultants, #total available hours, #total spent hours #nb of tasks completed ...) This is meant to organize projects, track budget and project progress. Projects, are tracking time on related tasks. 2 - Tasks (information regarding the tasks to perform : start/end dates, sub-tasks, status, priority, consultants, predecessors/sucessors, time for the task, time spent on task ... ) these are the main action to perform within a project. Dear community, I have a table in which I am tracking multiple records, each has a PDF attached to it. I am trying to create an automated report using Documint that will list all these records. I am trying to attach the PDFs to the Documint Report, but it does not display them. It works fine with image files though. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Hello AirTable Community,I am trying to export multiple AirTable records in one PDF. Concrete case is a list of samples that have several values, I want to create a pdf that will be handed to the lab for testing containing a list of multiple selected records in a nice format, not just a CSV. Are there any tools or extension for that? I couldn't find anything so far. If this is not possible in AirTable, does anyone know a work around? For example exporting a view as CSV and then automatically converting the CSV to the PDF format, maybe in Google Workspace? Or through the interface?Thank you very much!
I know zero about coding, apps, etc. (yes, I can hear you saying “OK Boomer”). I am looking for a basic explanation of what API is (besides what the acronym stands for, which I had to Google), and why I need it to use Airtable. I am trying to use Airtable as a shared resource for a team to track tasks and task deadlines and status. No integrating with cell phones, no accessing data from somewhere else.
I want to copy “Sum” values of grouped fields within a table, and a field’s “sum” value agnostic of groupings. The information exists, I can see it, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to copy the data for pasting into other fields and/or external applications. Currently, I have to visually reference and manually type the sum value to use the data. This is arduous and prone to errors. I feel like I must be missing something obvious…Does anyone know how to perform this basic function? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to create a form to simplify uploading files to a “Lookup” style attachments field. The table we work out of (Table W) consists mostly of lookup fields pulled from another table (Table S), including the attachments field in question. Multiple records are generated on Table W from Table S and we do not want to upload project files separately to every single related record on Table W. The primary field on Table S is a formula field derived from entries within that record. There are no other unique fields that can be used in a form to select a specific record to allow an upload to the desired field. Any ideas on how to make this work? I can’t show any examples of the tables, but I can try to fill in anything I may have missed in my description. This is where I am stuck, we have a few users who are unable to navigate through the linked fields to add the files to the correct place. I’m trying to design an easy-to-enter table or form where people can enter bookings very quickly. The issue is with choosing a date, a start time and an end time. In other software I’ve used - you can tap a 'Start time" field - quickly type 10 or 1030, or 10:30, or 7 or 730 or 0730 or 07:30 and the software sorts out the formatting. (This is 24hr format by the way) I’ve been trying to get something similar in Airtable and got halfway there with DateTimeParse - but it has been choking on 3-digit times (eg 730 for 7:30am). I’ve even done a formula including an IF statement to check the length of the input and try a different format. But frankly these all seem like massive cludges to fix a basic lack in Airtable - either a Time-only field type, or Input Masking - or input format forcing. I should be able to easily choose the correct format for a field and if someone enters a time incorrectly it will pop up a message to direct them to use the correct format (in this case a 4-digit time fi

Hello all, I’m trying to figure out a way to randomly generate a 6 digit randomized number for confirmation use on future bookings. So far I’ve come up with using ‘Autonumber’ and a formula to add six 0’s as a prefix. However, I’d like the number to be completely random. Does anyone have any input on how to achieve this or if it’s possible on Airtable? Thank you! Alex

Based on an earlier post on connecting airtable data to Power BI, some folks, including me, have problems reading Airtable fields/columns that have blank/missing values for some records. Based on an note from a user in the early post, I am able to revise the Airtable M Query code from the Airtable support site (https://support.airtable.com/docs/visualizing-airtable-records-in-microsoft-power-bi-power-query). I added the "List_fields"= line near the end of the query. Now the new M Query can read in all columns / fields of an Airtable table even if they have blank/missing values.Here is the revised M Query. Hi guys ! I work in a Shopify ecommerce and we are in the process of integrating Airtable into our environment. We have started to synchronize our data (Products, orders, customers, etc …) in Airtable using the AirPower app. Airtable seemed like the perfect platform until the data limit was exceeded (50,000 for the pro plan). We looked at the business plan but the 100,000 data limit seems very low. We have 63,000 customers right now so we should hit the limit sooner or later. We want to have the orders table linked with the customers table. Do you have a solution so that we can store all our data? Thank you in advance !
how could i use zapier sync the Unsubscribes that can remove the record from Airtable?
Trying to connect Airtable to MailChimp using Zapier but keep experiencing errors that no email address is found. Goal is to enter contacts for local business owners in Airtable and also have them automatically added to our email list. Anyone having good luck using Zapier to update a MailChimp list who might tell me what I’m missing? It appears that when we enter a name of a person in Airtable it’s creating a record, which triggers our zap in Zapier. Well, if the email is not the first thing we enter it seems like it’s too late, the zap is already triggered and the email is not sent to Mailchimp. So my question is how to make a record create zap work where it’s not so quick to send the data that some of the data isn’t there yet.
Is there any way to create a view with specific fields in Airtable, and sync it with Asana so that when a record is added to that Airtable view, a new task will be created in Asana, including those specific fiels from Airtable? I know a premium Asana subscription is necessary to add custom fields to the tasks. But does anyone know a way to sync these fields between both apps? Thanks.
I have a base and a Main View for Selection. I enter the main view and select a few things. The go to the view selected items.the latest selection don't show up and they are not just out of order etc. Going back into the Main View for Selection and then going back to the View Selected Items now shows the selected items.Why do I need to go back and forward to see the selected items.The filed is a tick box in the form which works OK but the view selected only updated on the second enter.Thanks for your help,Peter Wallis
In the form I'm building, I need to list a field where the user can upload a picture or pdf or document or file. Is there a form building extension that does this or an Airtable trick?
Is there a way to automatically generate and download/send a pdf of a page designer? Or has anyone found a way to do this with zapier or similar? Our use case: We generate several reports a night which need to be sent to a distribution list. Right now an employee has to manually print as pdf and re-upload it to airtable – after that the automation sends it out. It would be amazing if we could skip that one last manual step.
Hi Airtable Community, Here is the problem I’m trying to solve, I would like to generate a new page designer report based off a new record being created and automatically email updated report. We are updating reports we have published in the work environment on a physical whiteboard so simply sending the record/data elements doesn’t quite do the trick, we want to have a standard look/feel to the report and we are getting that from page designer but can quite crack the code in regards to how to automatically send the report. Open to any ideas or thoughts on how to address this problem. Thanks all. Travis

Hello there, I’m using Make / Integromat to create Google Docs and upload them as PDFs to Airtable. Occasionally this results (without obvious reasons) in broken PDF files. While the file name is correct, they’re missing a preview, open as blank and are read corrupted in external PDF apps. The automation completes successfully. If I open the Google Docs PDF export link, the PDF comes out alright. This makes me think the PDF file breaks while being imported to Airtable. Is there a known error, fix or workaround to this? I can’t find an indicator to tell the system the file is corrupted (still has regular file size) to let it redo it automatically. Thanks for your input
I have a couple word document templates that are localized on our company's SharePoint.I would like to create a button automation that would connect with Make to generate a letter based off the template and then create a pdf and upload it to the attachment field in AirTable.I am having difficulty in figuring out the right steps in Make to perform this action. The word templates are in our document library in a SharePoint. I was thinking of having the button in AirTable interface check off a box in the back end that would trigger the Watch Records in Make to run the scenario. However, I don't know how to properly generate the letter and do the next steps that follow.Can anyone help? Or perhaps offer guidance? If there is an alternative method to generating letters that you prefer that would be accessible in the Interface Designer, I would appreciate it.
