Huge apologies if I’m asking somehting idiotic! First time poster… I run a charity and want to enable our volunteers to update their own contact info and details such as next of kin etc. I know there is no way to edit information in my main table. But can I set up another table which I pull data from using a lookup and have that lookup only pull the most recen information ie. if I am Jo Bloggs, I submit my next of kin details on a form. Something changes, I then submit another form and the first one is negated by this later additon? Thanks in advance for any help offered. Very best, Nathan

Hi, I am creating a chart block to use for reporting. I have been asked to create something like the attached. I have set up a table and can get all the category counts to show accurately in a a stacked bar chart block. What I can’t seem to do is add the “Total” to the top. Is there a way to do this through the chart block settings that I’m missing, or does anyone have some advice about an category I could create to house the totals and then add them to the chart block? I have a scenario where I am mapping a Multi-Select Field in one Airtable Base to a Multi-Select Field in another Airtable Base using Integromat. The scenario requires the JSON Parse module in order to correctly parse the data to show up correctly in the 2nd Base. The Multi-Select Field can contain a variety of social media Channels, like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc. The scenario works great unless I add in more fields beyond the ones that are being sent. For example, if I map it to where there are 6 potential Channels to choose from (Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Snapchat) but only 3 are sent in the Scenario, those 3 extra fields will be sent as “null” and this causes an error in the Scenario. We’re making use of Airtable to help manage our delivery menu for bud.com. Airtable’s CSV Import Block helps to bring on new products for various regions into our overall catalog. Now we’re running into an issue with field mapping in the CSV Import Block: Airtable mixes up the fields to match as we import different spreadsheet, and there’s no way to quickly reset the import system. Details: We import a CSV of items from Sacramento using the Airtable CSV Import block. We have matching field names for the import data, so the fields show up matching immediately - hurray! We are importing fast. Then we go to import a CSV of items from Oakland. The Oakland fields are about 95% the same, but with a few different field names, and a different order to the fields. For this second CSV, even if they have many overlapping field names, AirTable will suggest non-matches - ignoring direct match

Hi, I am a newbie so I apologize if the answer to my question is obvious. I am trying to create a simple Airtable → Zapier → Airtable Zap. I am using the BoardGameGeek XML API to get data to create a database of my boardgames. Zap gets a field from the triggering record (a boardgame ID), use webhooks to send a request to BoardGameGeek XML API and stores the values back into the same Airtable record. My problem is that some values appear as “null” and stored as empty cells, but some other values are working fine. I tried adding a content-type header “application/xml”, but it didn’t solve anything. I can’t find the issue and I would really appreciate some help. Hi all, I am trying to format a field to show whether a deadline is “On Time” (before deadline due date), “At Risk” (same day as deadline due date) and “Late” (past deadline due date/time). Hi all. I’m getting really happy about Airtable, but have one question I can’t seem to find an answer for (I’m sorry if it is actually obviously out there): I’m the owner of our workspace. Is there a way to temporarily “limit” my own permission to Editor? When I use the database for daily work, it would be good to know, that I can’t accidentally mess up the fields etc. I’ve used Knack previously and like the clear distinction between messing with the actual database and using it for work as intended. Hi, I’m evaluating using Airtable and decided to try implementing a personal CRM in the process. I’m having a few issues and appreciate any help. First, I currently have two tables: Contacts and Interactions, with a one-to-many cardinality. For instance, in Contacts I might have John Doe and in Interactions I have an email conversation and phone conversation. My goal is to be able to see all my contacts and only the most recent interaction. That way I can quickly see what happened last with everyone. However, I can’t figure out how to have lookups or rollups in the Contacts table that only bring in info about the most recent interaction. If I were doing this in some other way, I’d use SQL to join the two tables, group by contact, sort by date, and keep only the last for each group. Any thoughts on how I do this in Airtable? Another issue I have is that when I do have a lookup that is a single select from another table, it loses all of the formatting from

I use my airtable to book bands and organize their data. The band makes a profile using the AT form and it populates one of our tables and creates a record. I know at the bottom of the column it displays the SUM of records but is there a way of taking that number and putting it into a new table’s record. Basically I want to take the SUM of all the bands that sign up (in table 1) and in Table 2 have a record that says “Total Bands” “300” that way each time a new person signs up that number will increase. I want to eventually integrate it with zappier so I can have a counter on my website for how many bands we have and all the amount of gigs we book them.

Is there any way that I can create a block or a way to integrate data from a Forms Pro or Qualtrics survey I’ve created? I see that Airtable has its own version of that but I was wondering if there are any ways to connect to the other programs. The company I work for pays for them so we’re trying to utilize the products. Thanks!

Is it possible to use information from a linked table in a formula? I’ve got an Airtable recording books that I read. In one table I have start and end dates for a book, and the details of the Book (author, number of pages) are in a second table. For some nerdy statistics, I wouldn’t mind being able to create a formula like (End Data - Start Date)/Number of Pages in Book…where the dates are in one table, and the number of pages in another. Is this possible currently in Airtable?

Hello, I’m curious if I need to make a change to ensure the header rows print at the top of every page when using grid view. I have a multi-page document and I’m either getting the header row only on the first page, or in one case only one of the 4 column headers on the subsequent pages. Is there a setting for this please? We are looking to more a chunk of our data into SharePoint. Is there a tool out there that will make this process easier? We looked into Zapier but the only trigger out of AT is Add Record. Hey! I was trying to download the images in from the embedded airtable base on my website and the download button doesn’t seem to be working. When I click download it takes me to another tab and then nothing happens. Can someone please help me sort this as we need to embed it on our main website asap. Thanks for the help!

When I try to use the iPhone app to take photos into an attachment field, the photo takes a while to load and oftentimes it disappears completely! This is really scary for me because I am spending hours in a location where I won’t be again to take photos. After it happened to me a few times, I started just taking photos on my phone and uploading them later on the computer. A few suggestions for Airtable Developers: When you take a photo from inside the app, make sure that the photo is saved to the phone’s camera-roll. At least then, the photo won’t be lost forever. Improve photo uploading feature on the app. Why is the upload time sooo long? Improve the rate of success of upload - it’s is terrifying when a software is unreliable! Allow users to take multiple photos (not one at a time) Thanks so much!

My team is using a base to hold client info for meeting attendees. We are all collaborators on this base. We each have our own sheets for our own projects (meetings) in the base (the first sheet is the database). We have a form in the database that we all send to potential attendees to fill out as a “registration form.” We have been using it for a couple of weeks and all has been going well, but just a few days ago, the form submission email (that we check at the bottom of the form) now goes to random team members and not the team member who sent the form. We have done several tests and have verified that we are logged in as ourselves and that the email at the bottom of the form is correct. As an example…my team member Katie sent the form to potential meeting attendees and she checked the box at the bottom of the form to receive an email when someone submits a form. Hi everyone, I am trying to import an airtable calendar into Outlook using an ics file. However, it appears that the owner of the calendar has everything coded as UTC when it should be in EST. Thus, when I import into Outlook, it tries to adjust into my local time and everything ends up in the middle of the night. I don’t have any ability to change the calendar itself, only viewing and downloading an ICS or CSV file. Is there any way I can edit the ics file itself so that outlook thinks the times are in EST? Though it may not be the place, this leads me to two other quick questions: If I import the calendar, will it automatically update if changes are made on airtable, or is it static from the moment I import it? Also, is there any way I could import only certain events after applying a filter? I can apply the filter I want on the airtable interface, but I’m wondering if I can basically apply that filter to an exported ics. Thanks so much!

I use Airtable to hold content parsed from HTML emails. The html content is in a long text field. I want a Block that I can use to render the message content from those emails. Does this exist?

Hey hi! Ok. So I have a Table with multiple Views, each with a specific criteria of hidden tables and Page Designer set up to pull from various Views. All seems totally normal. BUT… when I attempt to edit a record from within the Page Designer Block using the “Expand Record” button, Page Designer will only ever show me the same specific View. Doesn’t matter what View I select in the Block’s dropdown; whenever I am trying to edit from “Expand Record” from within the Page Designer Block it seems “stuck” on showing me the same (read: wrong) View; a View that has all the wrong hidden fields. I have reloaded the Block. I have disabled/enabled the Block. Any ideas out there? Anyone noticed similar/same ? Thanks C
